Seeds of Destiny 3 December 2018 Devotional – God Will Remember You

Topic: God Will Remember You [Seeds of Destiny 3 December 2018 Devotional]

Scripture: Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. – Isaiah 49:15-16

Thought For The Day: It is easier for a woman to forget her child than for God to forget you.

We serve a God who does not forsake nor forget His people. God is always there for us no matter the circumstance or situation of life.

Our anchor Scripture asks a very vital question: can a woman forget her sucking child? Even if she may forget, God says, He will never forget nor forsake you. It is easier for a woman to forget her child than for God to forget you. God holds you more valuable in His heart than you are to the heart of your mother.

Now, what happens when God remembers you?
1. Rescue from Destruction: He rescues you from destruction and restores you to your possession. God remembered Noah in the ark and He caused the water to be abated from the face of the earth so that Noah could take his place on earth (Genesis 8:1).

2. Preservation of Loved Ones: when God remembers you, He preserves your loved ones. God remembered Abraham and saved Lot, his nephew from destruction (Genesis 19:29). God preserves your loved ones and blesses them because of you.

3. Response/Answer to Prayers: when God remembers you, He swiftly responds to your prayers (Genesis 30:22).
Answered prayers happen when God remembers a person.

Beloved, the end of the power of the devil in your life has come; your time of visitation has arrived and God is about to remember you, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: It is easier for a woman to forget her child than for God to forget you.

Assignments:
1. Make up your mind to enter into a covenant walk with God.
2. Intensify your study of the Word and live a lifestyle of prayer consistently.

Prayer: O Lord, I thank You for remembering me always; I ask for the grace to draw closer to You in personal intimacy, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Joyce Meyer Devotional 3 December 2018 — Keep Walking on the Water!

Topic: Keep Walking on the Water! [Joyce Meyer Devotional 3 December 2018]

Let’s focus for a moment on this part of a well-known New Testament story. The disciples were in the middle of the Sea of Galilee at night when they looked up and saw Jesus walking on the water. That is amazing, but as the story continues, Matthew wrote of the boisterous winds, yet Jesus kept walking on top of the waves.

The disciples were afraid—and that makes sense. Who would expect to see anyone walking on top of the water, even under the best of conditions?

Then Jesus cried out and told them, “Take courage! It is I! Do not be afraid!” (Matthew 14:27 AMP). This is the powerful moment in the story. What will happen now? Do they move over and give Jesus a place to sit in their boat? Should they get out and join Him on the waves? Do they huddle in fear, reminding themselves that human beings can’t walk on top of water?

Peter was the only one who responded in true faith. And let’s make no mistake here. For Peter to say, “Lord, if it is [really] You, command me to come to You on the water” (Matthew 14:28 AMP) was a tremendous act of faith. You’ll notice that he was the only one who spoke that way.

That was a powerful moment of faith. It was a defining moment that pointed out Peter’s great faith and belief in Jesus, the Anointed One of God. He was so convinced that Jesus truly was the Son of God that he was ready to get out of the boat and walk on top of the water with Him.

How many of you would get out of the boat? I emphasize this because it would be easy enough to say, “Lord, I see You walking on the water, and I believe I could walk on the water alongside You.” But would you? Do you have the kind of faith that would enable you to step out of the boat? Of the 12 disciples, Peter was the only one who took that step of faith.

I’m not citing this example of faith to discourage you or to make you feel that your faith is somehow lacking. I’m simply pointing out the great triumph of a man who dared to believe! Peter believed so strongly that he took a step of faith over the side of the boat and started walking toward Jesus.

Most of us know the rest of the story. Some might even smirk, saying, “Big deal! He got out of the boat, started walking on the water, got scared, and began to sink. And he also received a rebuke from Jesus: ‘O you of little faith, why did you doubt?’” (Matthew 14:31 AMP).

But think about it—Jesus didn’t say those words to the other disciples. He directed the words “you of little faith” to Peter. The implication is the others had no faith at that moment.

Think of these words not just as words of rebuke, but also as words of encouragement to Peter, the one who had enough faith to step out of the boat and begin walking on the water.

But when he saw [the effects of] the wind, he was frightened, and he began to sink, and he cried out, “Lord, save me!” (Matthew 14:30 AMP).

What if you saw this as Jesus’ great encouragement, not just to Peter, but also to you? What if you looked at this event as Jesus saying to you, “You started so well. You believed Me, and got out of the boat. You did it! You walked on water just as I did. But then you allowed doubt to enter, and when that happened, you began to sink.”

This powerful story is a wonderful reminder that Jesus is always with you, and He will suspend natural laws to reach out to you and care for you.

Prayer Starter: Lord Jesus, please forgive my lack of faith. Increase my faith in Your Word, and help me to trust You enough to follow Your leading. When the circumstances around me threaten to pull me into deep waters of doubt, help me to focus on You. I ask these things in Your holy name. Amen.

TREM Devotional 3 December 2018 – Never Get Bitter

Topic: Never Get Bitter [TREM Devotional 3 December 2018]

“But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Genesis 39:21

While you are waiting for the promise of God to come to pass, no matter what the situation is, please do not get bitter. Learn from Joseph this morning. Imagine a young man with very promising future, who for no crime of his got sold into slavery by his own brothers. Think of it. If you were in his shoes, what will you do? Joseph had every right to be bitter, but not him, he served everywhere with all of his heart.

In slavery, he was sold to Potiphar. He could have been grouchy and sad, but not Joseph. He served with all his heart and earned the trust of his master to the point where the man committed the entire house to this young lad. Instead of his service to keep him promoted, it landed him in jail because his master’s wife had her eyes on him and he will not succumb and his faithfulness landed him in jail. Think of it, if you were the one, will you still serve joyfully? But Joseph did.

In the prison, he still remained steadfast and pretty soon, the keeper of the prison put him in charge again. If you were in his shoes, will you accept the responsibility, or will you remind him of how your goodness landed you in prison and refuse to serve? Joseph not only accepted the responsibility, but he also did it with all his heart. Otherwise how else would he have noticed that the butler and baker were sad? He knew because he took ownership of the assignment and served faithfully. Guess what? It was that service that gave him the promotion to the palace.

When the king had a dream, it was not Potiphar that spoke well of Joseph, it was the Butler. So I encourage you to remain steadfast; don’t let the situation you are going through now define you. It is only a passing through and pretty soon, you will come forth with testimonies. Stay positive, stay focused, God has not forgotten you.

Divine Protection for Prosperity By David Ibiyeomie

Divine Protection for Prosperity By David Ibiyeomie

Topic: Divine Protection for Prosperity

Ecclesiastes 10:10b but wisdom is profitable to direct.

Divine direction is a lifetime demand. Life without direction will be full of frustration. You should never get to a point in your life where you no longer require God’s leading. It is not your location that determines your prosperity but God’s own direction. You can send yourself to a country you think is prosperous and remain poor but if He sends you there you cannot be poor. Anywhere you see lack, it is an indication you sent yourself there.

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Jesus gave His disciples specific direction, they obeyed and caught multitude of fishes. Many are frustrated because they are on the wrong side.

John 21:6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

Divine direction is the day to day step on how to accomplish your vision. Vision is the unfolding of God’s plan for your life. Your provision is in the place of your assignment.

Psalms 23:1, 5 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

When He is your shepherd, you become untouchable; you cannot be molested, neither can you be stopped. Divine direction is the security of your human dignity. In times of recession and hardship what will distinguish you is divine direction.

Isaiah 51:2a Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you.

God said to us to look unto Abram, that means follow his way of life. He was able to obey God’s guidance. Abraham followed divine direction. Abraham followed divine direction before the blessing manifested. He did not argue with God, he did not say, “God you know I am old”. When you follow divine direction you become a director. When you follow His leading, you end up a leader.

Do not run in another man’s track, seek to know where God is leading you to. That someone prospered in a land does not necessarily mean you will also prosper there. Each person has to get his own direction.

Isaiah 48:17 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

So, your profiting is in His leading. Psalm 23 is a summary of supernatural abundance of divine direction. Nowhere will ever be greener and more prosperous than where God leads you per time. Get the right direction and you will enjoy green pastures. Any Christian that must succeed in the midst of crisis has to stand on the word, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Every frustration of a believer is traceable to insensitivity, deafness and blindness to divine direction. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and you will never miss it in life.

God bless you

Unveiling the Enemies of Praise! By David Oyedepo

Unveiling the Enemies of Praise! By David Oyedepo

Topic: Unveiling the enemies of praise!

Effective of all spiritual weapons at our disposal. To start with, this week, we shall examine the topic: Unveiling the Enemies of Praise!

We discover from scriptures that praise is one of the most powerful spiritual weapons that provoke the acts of God, yet, many are not aware of its potency. On the other hand, those who know are yet to experience the benefit embedded in it. We must understand that while there are several wonders in praise, there are also enemies of praise which stops the acts of God in our lives. This is because it is acceptable praise that works!

Erroneously, many people sing without actually praising God. They sing for different reasons and with different motives, which make their songs of no effect. Thus, it is one thing to engage in praise and another for our praises to be acceptable. To experience the wonders of praise, we must understand what it takes to make it acceptable. Thus, it is important to note certain hindrances to praise which we must watch against.

What then are the Enemies of Praise?

Murmuring and Complaining: It is written: Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer (1 Corinthians 10:10). No matter how legitimate our reasons, “neither murmur ye…” No reason is acceptable to God for complaining. The shortest way to getting destroyed and seeing no results is to have a case against God. When we stop seeing what God has not done, everything keeps getting done in our favour. It’s time to recognise that it is dangerous to give room to murmuring and complaining. Every time we murmur, we invite the destroyer. Everything we murmur about never grows, rather it diminishes. When murmuring stops, accomplishment begins. When complaining stops, triumph begins. When we complain to men, we secure sympathy but when we complain to God, we incur His anger (Numbers 11:1). There is nothing to complain about but there is everything to praise God for.

Also Read: Unveiling the Triggers for Success! By David Oyedepo

Spirit of Heaviness: Heaviness is a spirit. It is one of the key strategies of satan to strip God’s people naked. He knows that with heaviness, God is absent and when God is absent, we become a cheap prey in his hands. It is written: …the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness… (Isaiah 61:3). The reason the devil steals joy is to make victims of men but we have the gift of joy from the Most High God. He has not withdrawn it. If it is not seen, satan has stolen it. Satan calculates heaviness for God’s people because he knows no one can stop the fiery acts of God when man is giving Him quality praise. That is why we must fight heaviness more than we fight any other sin.

Discontentment: Until we are satisfied with Jesus, we will never smell contentment. Our satisfaction with Jesus is what provokes heaven to satisfy us. The Bible says: But godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6:6). There is a lot of godliness in the Church today because God’s Word is coming alive but there is not enough contentment to match. People are rating the worth of life with physical possessions. This is unscriptural! Jesus said we should beware of covetousness. Contentment is the treatment for covetousness. Until we are satisfied, we cannot be merry and until we are merry, we cannot sing (James 5:13).

Holding on to the Past: There are so many Christians under this trap. It is playing the fool! It is a slap on God’s face! As far as God is concerned, our lives today cannot be worse than our lives yesterday. Even if we cannot see it, say it the way God has said it. For it is written: But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18). I have always said that where I am today is the worse place I can ever be. This is because my tomorrow by virtue of Scripture, by revelation and by the Holy Ghost is already eternally programmed and sealed by the blood to be better than today. Thus, we must live in the reality of scriptures not circumstances.

Being Offended in Him: The times we have been offended in God are our stumbling blocks in life. It is written: And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me (Matthew 11:6). Every time we marked God wrong, we make our path crooked. For instance, in Matthew 11:2-3, John the Baptist was facing a great crisis and as such he began to wonder if Jesus was truly the Messiah. If He was, He should have done something about his case. I am persuaded that this is the reason he was beheaded because there is nowhere in the scriptures where it was foretold that he will be beheaded. If we do not want to be beheaded, refuse to be offended in God (Job 9:4).

In conclusion, the Spirit of the Lord exchanges our heaviness with the garment of praise. He releases us into a life of continuous, endless praise that brings us into union with God. However, you must be born again. Are you born again? If you are not, this is an opportunity to do so. Simply say the following prayer: Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins. Cleanse me with Your precious Blood. Today, I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Thank You Jesus for saving me! Now I know I am born again!”

MFM Daily Devotional 3 December 2018 – Your Divinely Appointed Pathway

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 3 December 2018 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Your Divinely Appointed Pathway

TOPIC: Your Divinely Appointed Pathway (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 3 December 2018)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Job 23:10-15

MEMORY VERSE: “The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. – Proverbs 16:17

The MESSAGE:

Your divinely appointed pathway is the way to heaven, which has been mapped out for you as an individual to tread while here on earth. It is a pathway solely designed for your goals in life. Heaven’s expectation for you is to be fulfilled in your life’s endeavours on this pathway. No wonder the book of Jeremiah 29:11 makes this clear when it says: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Are you on that pathway that heaven has mapped out for you? Be sure that the moment you deviate from that pathway, you will miss the promised expected end on that pathway, which also implies missing out on all the good things on that pathway.

In Job 23:10, Job said: “But he knows the way that I take when he has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” Does God know the way you are on, today?

Are you on the pathway the Lord has placed you? You need to tread on that pathway this year to come to fulfilment:
1. It is the pathway to your day of glory.
2. It is the pathway that leads to the righteousness of God.
3. It is the pathway that leads to the fullness of joy and peace.
4. It is the pathway that does not disappoint.
5. It is the pathway that leads to true and enduring success.
6. It is the pathway that leads to abundance of life.

Reposition yourself today on this pathway for greater glory. The Lord Jesus Christ is the glorious pathway. Jesus said: “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” What Jesus meant here is that when we follow the divine pathway which is the way to heaven, other things good for the godliness shall follow. Beloved, I urge you today to follow the divinely appointed pathway in order to have the fullness of joy.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
THE HIGHWAY OF THE UPRIGHT IS TO DEPART FROM EVIL: HE THAT KEEPS HIS WAY PRESERVES HIS SOUL.

PROPHETIC WORD:
I decree a smooth ride for you on your pathway to total victory.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING
1. O God, arise and position me on Your divinely appointed way, in the name of Jesus.
2. O LORD, remove every hindrance on my divinely appointed way, in the name of Jesus.
3. Every obstruction on my divinely appointed way is removed now by fire, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. My Father, smoothen every bump on my divinely appointed pathway, in the name of Jesus.
5. Thou strong man, standing on the path to my divinely appointed way, fall down and die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Blood of Jesus, spread over my divinely appointed way, in the name of Jesus.
7. Holy Ghost fire, be a wall of fire round about my divinely appointed way, in the name of Jesus.

Open Heavens for Teens 3 December 2018 – What Do You See?

Topic: What Do You See? [Open Heavens for Teens 3 December 2018]

Memorise: And the woman conceived, and bare a son: and when she saw him that he was a goodly child, she hid him three months. Exodus 2:2

Read: Numbers 13:26-33 (KJV)

Bible In One Year: Daniel 1-2, 1 John 2

MESSAGE:

If you do not know the purpose of your existence, you will look down on yourself and envy those who should be envying you. Perception is the key to discovery, possession and recovery. How you see a thing affects it response to you, your response to it and the response of others to it. It is very crucial for you to see things from the right perspective or else, you will become a victim of poor perception.

When the Israelites were sent to spy out the Promised Land, what the spies saw totally distinguished them. What you focus on is what determine the end of a matter. For ten of the spies, all they saw was trouble and obstacles, and what they saw became their undoing. The two other spies focused instead on their mighty God and what they knew He could do, and they had victory. Each time you focus on the problem, you cannot see or appreciate the solution even when it is right before your eyes.

Action Point: Ask God for the grace to always see something good in bad situations even when others don’t.

Hymn 1:

1. My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!

2. May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm and changeless be,
A living fire!

3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.

4. When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Savior, then, in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul.

DCLM Daily Manna 3 December 2018 – Before Names

Topic: Before Names [DCLM Daily Manna 3 December 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Hosea 1:1-11 (KJV)

Key Verse: “The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD (Hosea 1:2).

MESSAGE:

In many African cultures, personal names are more than mere labels for distinguishing one person from another. Names reflect circumstance of birth, change of status or aspiration etc. We should be familiar with the significance of a name like Ichabod (the glory has departed). That was the name given to Eli’s grandson whose birth coincided with the loss of the Ark of the covenant by Israel to Philistines.

In the narrative contained in our text, we find Prophet Hosea in a parabolic situation where he was divinely instructed to marry a harlot. The harlot gave birth to three children who, like their mother, were “children of whoredoms”.
The first child was Jezreel (God will scatter) – an allusion to the end of the Jehu dynasty and the ultimate ruin of the ten tribes. Next was Loruhamah (not pitied) – God would no more have mercy on them and the third child was Loami (not my people) – God disowned them altogether.

God loved, favoured and cared for Israel. But on their part, they were unfaithful to Him. Israel’s idolatry was as repulsive as a wife surrendering herself to the lustful embrace of other men. In contrast, God promised to save the tribe of Judah and hinted at the present era when both Jews and Gentiles would come under the saving grace and lordship of Christ.

It is vain to take God’s love for granted. We must not live in spiritual adultery; thereby, sharing our affections between Him and the world. He is a jealous God and will not share His glory with another. Do not be part of professing Christians whose professions contradict their conducts.

Thought For The Day: The worst fall is to fall from grace.
