Ask 21st—century women, “How do you feel about yourself?” and many will confess, “I hate myself.” Or perhaps their opinion of themselves is not that severe, but they will admit they really don’t like themselves.

Our world has created a false, unrealistic image of what women are supposed to look like and act like. But the truth is that every woman was not created by God to be skinny, with a flawless complexion and long flowing hair. Not every woman was intended to juggle a career as well as all of the other duties of being a wife, mother, citizen, and daughter.

Single women should not be made to feel they are missing something because they are not married. Married women should not be made to feel they must have a career to be complete. We must have the freedom to be our individual selves.

Many women hate themselves and have no self-confidence because they have been abused, rejected, abandoned, or in some way damaged emotionally. Women need to experience a revival of knowing their infinite worth and value.

Prayer Starter: Lord, You know exactly how I feel about myself. You know how deeply I’ve been influenced by the messages of our culture and how confusing it is. Help me to discover the truth of my worth and value in Your eyes. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Galatians 6:7-10

MEMORY VERSE: “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” – Genesis 8:22

The MESSAGE:

To harvest is to reap whatever has been sown. Before anyone can reap, there must have been the act of sowing. A seed is that unit that is sown by farmers before they begin to reap the fruits (harvest). There are spiritual seeds that give birth to spiritual fruits. In our Fire Scriptures, the seed is spiritual and the fruit is also spiritual. It means that we sow spiritual seeds and reap spiritual fruits on a daily basis, whether we are born again or not. Whatsoever the seed you sow in the spiritual realm must give birth to fruits in the spiritual realm. The mystery is that it must manifest physically, and this determines how your physical life would be. We all need miracles. But before miracles can manifest physically, to the glory of God, some things must have happened in the spiritual realm. Miracles are supernatural fruits obtained from seeds sown. To be a harvester, therefore, you must first of all be a sower. So many have not sown but are expecting to harvest miracles; so many have sown evil seeds and are expecting to harvest good fruits. This is total mockery as far as God is concerned. Hosea 7:1 says, ” When I would have healed Israel, then the iniquity of Ephraim was discovered, and the wickedness of Samaria…” This means that there are barriers to miracles, God wants us to harvest miracles, but we are yet to start sowing good seeds. In Mark 6:1-6, Jesus could not perform miracles due to barriers. Barriers suck and eat up the seed as pests do to the farmer’s seeds. With the barriers in place, no seed can survive. Wrong belief, unbelief, sins, no fear of God, familiarity with God, disobedience, backsliding, ignorance, being in a wrong place, etc are some of the barriers that kill our seeds.

The seeds we need to sow are faith, righteousness, repentance, hospitality, good works, faithfulness, prayer, intercession, fasting, love etc. When you sow these seeds and nurture them to avoid any of the barriers mentioned above, you automatically become a havester of miracles. Beloved, the Shunamite woman sowed the seed of hospitality. Hezekiah sowed the seed of repentance, and the Lord visited them with fruits of miracles. Are you believing God for a miracle? What type of seed have you sown? Are you prepared today to begin to sow genuine seeds that can produce the fruits of miracles? Is there any barrier in your life that is preventing your seed from germinating? You Can’t ignore it; please settle it now. Your fruit of miracles are on the way but the first thing must be done first: sow seeds without any barrier.

3. Satanic hindrances to my divine harvest, collapse, in the name of Jesus.

4. Thou power of sin standing between me and my divine harvest, now is your end, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Inherited bondage that needs to break for my miracles to begin to appear, break my fire, in the name of Jesus.
6. Spiritual termites attacking my seeds of miracles, catch fire and burn, in the name of Jesus.
7. I begin to harvest my miracles from tonight, in the name of Jesus.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed until His sweat became as thick as blood, but God did not change His mind about granting Jesus His prayer request. God cannot change even in the slightest degree; Hebrews 13:8 says He retains His essence in spite of fleeting moments, situations and circumstances. Before, during and after prayer, God remains God.

Nothing changes God. Your request does not add to or subtract from Him. Your prayer does not strip Him of His dress. What He wore before creating the world is still what He has on at this moment. God is eternally God. He will always be enthroned. Why don’t you genuinely hand over your life to this Unchanging God? He is ever faithful. He is merciful, and His promises are forever!

Key Point: Stick with God, He never fails.

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe”. Proverbs 18:10

When God begins a thing, He will surely conclude it. It doesn’t matter who or what is harassing you, I am certain that He will sort them out. His name shall be called Jesus: the Saviour of the world. No wonder the Psalmist says, “The name of the Lord is a Strong tower, the righteous runneth into it and is safe.” The Greek word there is ‘soteria’. It includes saving you from sin, preservation, prosperity, and security. His name shall be called Saviour. When you run into that name you are safe from the arrows of the wicked and from the winds of adversity.

Yes, you are safe from all your adversaries and oppressors because God will flush them out. You are safe from recession. Therefore, you cannot lack. God fed the children of Israel for 40 years in the wilderness. They dressed up for 40 years. Their clothes never wore out. Their shoes never wore out. As they were growing their dresses were growing.

I declare you will build houses that you cannot account for how it was built. Right now, you don’t have money, but I am telling you, you will buy houses. God is going to do new things in your life. You are going to sign a type of money you have never signed in your life. God says He will contend with those who contends with you. When He is through they will know that He is your Saviour your Redeemer. From today, I declare over your life that you will not fail. You will not lose any battle. Those that thought they have caged you will be disappointed. God will spring surprises for you.

Topic: Prepare for Persecution [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland Devotional 11 October 2018]

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. – 2 Timothy 3:12

Did you catch that? He said all who live godly lives are going to suffer persecution. Not just the super-saints, not just the missionaries in hostile lands—but all.

If you’re going to live for God, you’re going to run into persecution somewhere along the line. The devil’s going to make sure of it!

Now I’m not saying that to frighten you or to depress you. I’m saying it because I want you to be prepared.

When you’re wise to the strategies of the devil, it’s harder for him to use them successfully on you to confuse you and get you off track.

Second Corinthians 10:4 says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.” So stay armed and ready for Satan’s attack. Then, whenever and however it comes, it won’t bring your life to a halt or even slow you down.

That’s especially important right now because we’re living in the last days. The devil’s time is drawing short. He is desperate. He is going to do everything he can to stop the Church. But Jesus said the gates of hell would not prevail against His Church!

Remember the more we grow to be like Jesus and the more God’s glory is revealed through our lives, the bigger threat we are to Satan’s kingdom. Jesus said, “Rejoice and be glad at such a time, and exult and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is rich and great and strong and intense and abundant in heaven” (Luke 6:23, The Amplified Bible).

So, when persecution comes your way, and you know it will, rejoice and be glad. Take the Jesus cure and begin to leap and jump and praise God! There is no way persecution will hurt you if you do that. I’ve tried it and it works.

MESSAGE:

Christ’s teachings reveal God’s intentions and true meanings of the commandments which the Jews misapplied.

The Jews had restricted the meaning of “thou shalt not kill” to just physical murder, but Jesus explained that anger and abusive language would equally attract the judgment of God. He emphasised the need for genuine love and consideration for one another above mere service to God. Also, efforts must be made to make peace with an adversary to avoid unpleasant litigations and associated inconveniences.

The Christian life is of two-fold – the character and the service. Both must go together. But quality character precedes Christian service. Our services to God and for one another must be with love and from a pure heart (1 Peter 1:22). As the members of the body function effectively and harmoniously without opposing one another but complement each other, so must the Church (members of the body of Christ) be. Anything that could cause any form of malfunctioning of the body such as tribalism, fault-finding, unforgiving spirit, evil speaking and bribery must be jettisoned to enhance effective fellowship and union. The hand must not say that because it is not the eye, therefore, it is not of the body.

As every member of the body is useful to the effective working of the system (including those not seen), so is every Christian useful to the growth of the Church and its divinely assigned duties on earth. God is always faithful; his admonition to you is: ” Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded” (2 Chronicles 15:7).

Thought For The Day: The extent of your preparation determines the success of your journey.

Vision is the capacity to see the ultimate in the immediate; it is the ability to see tomorrow today. Vision is also traveling with the destination in mind.

It has been confirmed that life is a journey, and every journey requires adequate preparation. The extent of your preparation determines the success of your journey.

Again, just as every journey requires adequate preparation, the journey of life requires adequate preparation and vision is a major necessity in the preparation of the journey of life.

Vision, in this sense, is a mental picture of a preferred future. Vision is also insight into God’s plan for your life. Vision gives you the ability to plan and the capacity to pursue your plans and measure your progress. This is the point where you ask yourself questions like, ‘Who am I? Why am I? What do I want to achieve in life? How do I intend to achieve it? Your answers to these questions constitute your vision for living. That gives you your vision and mission statements!

Beloved, in order not to faint in life, you need vision; in order not to end your journey on earth as a casualty, vision is a critical requirement.

My counsel is, ask God to give you a vision for your life; and if you already have a vision, ask God to give you more details about the vision and the workable action plan for its realization.

Remember This: The extent of your preparation determines the success of your journey.

Assignments:
1. Ask God for a solid vision for your life (if you have not yet discovered your vision for living).
2. Make up your mind not to embark on any journey without God.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask that You reveal me to me. Help me with the grace to always possess a solid vision in line with Your Will for my life Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: The Meaning Of Passover [Andrew Wommack Devotional 11 October 2018]

Luke 22:16 “For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”

Text: Luke 22:15-18

The Lord longed to share the passover meal with His disciples. He was less than 24 hours away from fulfilling His mission and, like anyone who can see the finish line, He must have had feelings of relief and excitement.

The passover meal commemorated the Jews’ deliverance from slavery in Egypt (Ex. 13:3-10). It also had a much deeper spiritual application that, as Jesus explains here, would be fulfilled through His death. The Jewish nation as a whole had missed any future prophetic meaning of the passover.

On the night of the original passover, the Lord passed through the land of Egypt and judged the land by slaying all the firstborn men and beasts. The Jews had to slay a spotless lamb, take its blood and apply it to the door posts of their homes. They were commanded to remain indoors, under the covering of this blood until morning. When the Lord passed through the land at midnight to execute His judgment, He passed over the homes that had the lamb’s blood on their doors and no one inside was hurt. This is a perfect picture of the redemption that Jesus provides for us.

Everyone deserves judgment because of their sins. However, Jesus provided Himself as a spotless, sacrificial lamb for us, so that if we apply His blood to our lives by confessing Him as Lord, God will pass over us on judgment day.

Jesus was sacrificed on the 14th day of the first month of the Jewish year – the exact day and time that the passover lambs were being slain. Truly, “Christ our passover is sacrificed for us” (1 Cor. 5:7).
