Topic: When God Opens Prison Doors… [Seeds of Destiny Friday July 13, 2018]

Scripture: And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed. Acts 16:25-26.

Thought For The Day: The door of captivity termination opens to grant liberty to the oppressed.

The Scripture makes it clear that the termination of captivity (and the guarantee of liberty) is real when God opens the doors (Acts 16:25-27). Our anchor Scripture gives us a practical example. Paul and Silas were arrested and kept in the prison because of their passion and works for God. As they prayed and worshipped God, at midnight, there was an earthquake and the prison doors were opened and they were ushered into their freedom.

Beloved, when this door opens, wherever a person is kept under bondage; he is released and set free. The door of captivity termination opens to grant liberty to the oppressed; it sets free locked personalities and caged destinies.

There are many people who are behind closed doors in life; their lives and destinies are closed and locked up. The door of captivity termination is what makes people come out of the prison of life – be it the prison of sinful bondage, satanic oppression, witchcraft spells, occult manipulation; alcoholism, lesbianism, tobacco smoking, lying, cheating, stealing, insanity, marital delay, barrenness, etc.

Beloved, by the apostolic mantle of fire on my life, I decree the opening of every door of captivity and bondage in your life; every door that has locked up your destiny is opening right now. I decree the breaking of every yoke on your neck in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: The door of captivity termination opens to grant liberty to the oppressed.

Assignments:
1. Identify the areas of your life you are experiencing captivity.
2. Ask God to break every captivity, oppression, yoke or addiction in your life.
3. Connect to the mantle of your pastor for the breaking of every bondage in your life.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask that You terminate every captivity in my life. Open every prison door that has kept my life and destiny in bondage, Lord, in Jesus Name.

Topic: He Knows Us [Our Daily Bread 13 Friday July, 2018]

Read: Psalm 139:1–14, Bible in a Year: Psalms 7–9; Acts 18

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise. Psalm 139:1–2

Did God know about me as I drove at night on a 100-mile journey to my village? Given the condition I was in, the answer was not simple. My temperature ran high and my head ached. I prayed, “Lord, I know you are with me, but I’m in pain!”

Tired and weak, I parked by the road near a small village. Ten minutes later, I heard a voice. “Hello! Do you need any help?” It was a man with his companions from the community. Their presence felt good. When they told me the name of their village, Naa mi n’yala (meaning, “The King knows about me!”), I was amazed. I had passed this community dozens of times without stopping. This time, the Lord used its name to remind me that, indeed, He, the King, was with me while I was alone on that road in my ailing condition. Encouraged, I pressed on toward the nearest clinic.

God knows us thoroughly as we go about our everyday chores, at different locations and situations, no matter our condition (Psalm 139:1–4, 7–12). He does not abandon us or forget us; nor is He so busy that He neglects us. Even when we are in trouble or in difficult circumstances—“darkness” and “night” (vv. 11–12)—we are not hidden from His presence. This truth gives us such hope and assurance that we can praise the Lord who has carefully created us and leads us through life (v. 14).

Prayer: Thank You, Lord, that You always know where I am and how I am doing. You know me inside and out. I’m thankful I can count on You to care.

No matter where we are, God knows about us.

Topic: Don’t Overlook the Blessings [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Friday July 13, 2018]

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17

It’s easy to get your spiritual eyes fixed so firmly on the problems in your life, you overlook the blessings completely! As a result, you end up suffering through situations that should have you rejoicing.

Let me show you what I mean. Not long ago, this ministry was facing some great financial pressures. I stood in faith against them. I battled against them with the Word and in prayer.

What I didn’t realize was this: During that time when the problems seemed so great—the blessings were even greater. This ministry was growing faster, ministering to more people, writing more letters, printing more publications, sending out more teaching tapes than ever before! It was a breakthrough time…a time for rejoicing. But I didn’t know it because I was too busy thinking about the problems.

I was so “tunnel-visioned”, all I could see was the pressure, and I suffered through some hard times when I should have been shouting the victory.

But thank God, He woke me up before it was over. He woke me up to the blessings and reminded me that the problems are temporary, or subject to change, but God and His Word of victory are never subject to change!

If you’ve been suffering through some hard times lately, wake up to the blessings around you. You’ll be much more effective in battling the problems if you’re giving God the glory for the solutions He’s already provided. Take your eyes off the trouble and look around you. You’ll soon be shouting the victory!

Topic: Holiness Is A Fruit [Andrew Wommack Friday July 13, 2018]

Luke 11:42 “But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done and not to leave the other undone.”

Text: Luke 11:42-44

When Jesus said, “and not to leave the other undone,” it is clear that He is not arguing against doing what is right. God’s Word stresses holiness in our actions. The Pharisees’ error that caused Jesus’ rebuke was that they believed their actions could produce a right relationship with God. But a proper relationship with God can only come by humbling ourselves and putting faith in a Savior, who is Jesus. God cleanses our hearts by grace through faith (Eph. 2:8) and then we have our fruit unto holiness (Rom. 6:22). Holiness is a fruit, not a root, of salvation.

In a similar instance found in Matthew 23:26, Jesus told the Pharisees, “Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.” True Christianity comes from the inside out. A good heart will change a man’s actions, but a man’s actions cannot change his heart.

One of religion’s favorite doctrines is that if you will just act right, you will be right. Nothing could be further from the truth. You must be born again. And if you are born again, then holiness is a by-product and not the way to a relationship with God.

This is the heart of the Gospel. Every major religion of the world has a moral standard it enforces, but only Christianity offers salvation through a Savior. Presenting holiness in any way other than as a result of salvation is denying Jesus as our Savior and places the burden of salvation on us. Improper emphasis on achieving holiness or salvation through one’s own actions can damn that person. We must trust Jesus completely.

The Lord hath anointed me . . . to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound. — Isaiah 61:1

Viktor Frankl in his book, “Man’s Search for Meaning,” describes the reactions of two brothers with the same heredity, the same environment, in the same concentration camp under the Nazis. One became a saint and the other a swine. Frankl tells us the reason why. He said, “Each man has within him the power to choose how he will react to any given situation.” God has given us the power of choice. Some people today do not wish to accept the responsibility for their actions. They blame society. They blame the environment. They blame the schools. They blame the circumstances. But Adam sinned in a perfect environment under perfect circumstances. We can’t blame it all on somebody else. We must accept the blame ourselves for our part. Society is made up of individuals. If we have social injustice, we’re the ones who are wrong; we’re part of it. Let’s accept our responsibility to do something about it.

Prayer for the day: With Your help, living Lord, I want to make the right decisions so that I may touch society with Your healing love.

2 Kings 7:1-2:
1 Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.

2 Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said, Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof.

2 Kings 7:16-20:
16 And the people went out, and spoiled the tents of the Syrians. So a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD.

17 And the king appointed the lord on whose hand he leaned to have the charge of the gate: and the people trode upon him in the gate, and he died, as the man of God had said, who spake when the king came down to him.

Open Heavens 13 July 2018 MESSAGE:

Doubts and indecision reflects the inability of a person to make a choice between two opinions. Doubt reveals the presence of an internal debate and a lack of conviction. It signifies double-mindedness and partial faith. Doubt paralyses the ability of a person to make a sound judgment on critical issues. A person in doubt is therefore often a confused person, divided in opinion and at odds with himself and herself. Here is how the Holy Spirit describes the true condition of a doubter in James 1:8:

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

A person living in doubt may believe in the authority of God’s word, but somehow he or she thinks it’s impossible or uncertain that what God says in it would come to pass. The harmful effect is that doubt moves from a divided attitude towards God’s promises to a wholesale questioning of God’s word itself. Doubt is responsible for many seemingly unanswered prayers and unfulfilled promises among believers. Concerning a double-minded person, James 1:7 says:

“For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.”

Consequently, anyone who lives in doubt may not receive anything from God. May the Lord destroy every spirit of doubt that has denied you the fulfillment of God’s promises, in Jesus’ Name.

Disobedience to God introduces indecision and doubt into the life of a child of God who hitherto was walking in faith. Sin robs us of our confidence in God’s presence. You will observe that Adam and Eve hid themselves from God after they had sinned (Genesis 3:8-10). Indecision and doubt may appear to be simple problems but they have devastating spiritual implications. In today’s Bible reading, doubt cost an official of the King his life. Similarly, in Matthew 14:31, the Lord Jesus Christ identified doubt as the reason why Peter began to sink after he had walked towards Him on water. He would have drowned if the Lord had not stretched his hand to get him. These Biblical examples show us that doubting the word of God is so dangerous that it can lead to death. I pray that God will deliver you from the devastating effect of doubt in Jesus’ Name. In 1 Kings 18:21, Elijah asked the Israelites an important question which I am also asking you today: “How long halt ye between two opinions?” if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then believe in Him with all your heart. Stop wavering, and follow Him wholly. Do away with sin and be determined to pursue holiness for the rest of your life. Share your salvation experience with others and tell them about the good things that God is doing in your life. It is well with you in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point: Father, please completely destroy every root of doubt in my life in Jesus’ Name.
