Topic: At The End It Shall Speak

Vision is a fundamental requirement of all world-changers. World changers are focused visionaries. When you receive a vision from the Lord, it is expedient that you run with the vision. Don’t be a hit and run visionary; one who receives a vision, pursues it for a while and when they meet challenge along the way, they leave it and start looking for another vision to pursue.

Phil.3:13 -Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

It is men of ‘one-thing’ that change the world. When you receive something from the Lord, stay with it until it becomes part of you.

John 18:37 -Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Jesus, the savior came for one thing and HIS course I still changing the world till date; even after two thousand years. This is because, Jesus was a man of one focus and goal when he was on the earth; He stayed with His vision. When they came to make Him king, He fled because that was off God’s agenda for His life.

1Cor.7:20 – Let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called.

It is very important to abide in your assignment even if it is not working at that time; stay there because it will work so long as it was given to you by God and at the end, it shall speak.

Hab.2:2-3 – And the Lord answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

No vision speaks at the beginning. If a child has a vision to be a medical doctor, he or she has to start from nursery school, through secondary to medical school. It is at the end that that vision of becoming a doctor can be realized; not at the beginning.

Challenges will come to discourage you but if you remain focused on that vision and keep pursuing it, it shall speak at the end and those that laughed at you in the beginning shall come to celebrate with you at the end. This shall be your portion if you don’t give up in the pursuit of your vision in the name of Jesus –Amen!

Topic: Believe In His Prophets [TREM Devotional Thursday June 14, 2018]

“And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” 2 Chronicles 20:20

Yesterday, I challenged you to believe the Word of God. But our scriptural reference takes believing in two levels: believe in the Lord your God and believe in His prophets. Yesterday, I took time to challenge you to dare to believe God. But today, we are looking at believing in His prophets.

Read 2 Chr. 20:20 again. When you believe God, you are established but when you believe His prophets, then you prosper. Why will God put so much weight in your faith in His servants? The answer is simple: He has positioned prophets over your life for a purpose. They are not decorations in the Kingdom, they are the servants of God, called by God to fulfill a purpose and they cannot fulfill it if you do not believe in them.

1 Cor. 14:40 says ‘let all things be done decently and in order”. While we are all kings and priests unto our God, we are not all called into the 5-fold ministry. We are all called as His representatives, but some have the divine assignment to help you become all that He has ordained you to be. Apostle Paul in Ephesians 4 makes it very clear. Thank God we all have the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, but despite that, God has still carefully planted the 5-fold for the work of the Ministry. Question: What is the work of ministry? Is it to win souls? The answer is NO. Soul winning is the assignment of every believer. The assignment of the 5-fold is for perfecting you for the work of the Ministry. God has put these men and women in the Body to help build you up and equip you to take your world for the Kingdom. That is why He said believe in them and you will prosper.

MESSAGE:

Some people are blind to the things that will destroy them, Others are blind to good things coming their way, while others cannot see the opportunities around them. It is also possible to be blind to one’s miracle or help. When Hagar exhausted the water in her water bottle, she was scared. With no hope of getting water in the wilderness, she thought their appointment with death had come. She was so preoccupied with negative thoughts that she could not the well right beside her. It took God 5o open her eyes to see the well.

In every wilderness journey, there is always a well of provision. Just as Hagar could not exhaust the water in the well with her water bottle, so does the well in your wilderness contain more than you need to sustain you in that journey. But until you look up to God in faith, you may not see the well beside you. Look u to God and He will see you through whatever tough situation you are going through.

Prayer Point: Father, give me grace to stand each time my faith is stretched

The Saudi-led coalition backing Yemen’s exiled government launched a fierce assault Wednesday on the crucial port city of Hodeida, the biggest offensive of the years-long war in the Arab world’s poorest nation for the main entry point for food in a country already teetering on the brink of famine.

The attack on the Red Sea port aimed to drive out Iranian-aligned Shiite rebels known as Houthis, who have held Hodeida since 2015, and break the civil war’s long stalemate. But it could set off a prolonged street-by-street battle that inflicts heavy casualties.

The fear is that a protracted fight could force a shutdown of Hodeida’s port at a time when a halt in aid risks tipping millions into starvation. Some 70 percent of Yemen’s food enters via the port, as well as the bulk of humanitarian aid and fuel supplies. Around two-thirds of the country’s population of 27 million relies on aid and 8.4 million are already at risk of starving.

Before dawn Wednesday, convoys of vehicles appeared to be heading toward the rebel-held city as heavy gunfire rang out. The assault, part of an operation dubbed “Golden Victory,” began with coalition airstrikes and shelling by naval ships, according to Saudi-owned satellite news channels and state media.

Bombardment was heavy, with one aid official reporting 30 strikes in 30 minutes.

“Some civilians are entrapped, others forced from their homes,” said Jolien Veldwijk, the acting country director of the aid group CARE International, which works in Hodeida. “We thought it could not get any worse, but unfortunately we were wrong.”

The melting of Antarctica is accelerating at an alarming rate, with about 3 trillion tons of ice disappearing since 1992, an international team of ice experts said in a new study.

In the last quarter century, the southern-most continent’s ice sheet — a key indicator of climate change — melted into enough water to cover Texas to a depth of nearly 13 feet (4 meters), scientists calculated. All that water made global oceans rise about three-tenths of an inch (7.6 millimeters).

From 1992 to 2011, Antarctica lost nearly 84 billion tons of ice a year (76 billion metric tons). From 2012 to 2017, the melt rate increased to more than 241 billion tons a year (219 billion metric tons), according to the study Wednesday in the journal Nature .

“I think we should be worried. That doesn’t mean we should be desperate,” said University of California Irvine’s Isabella Velicogna, one of 88 co-authors. “Things are happening. They are happening faster than we expected.”

Part of West Antarctica, where most of the melting occurred, “is in a state of collapse,” said co-author Ian Joughin of the University of Washington.

The study is the second of assessments planned every several years by a team of scientists working with NASA and the European Space Agency. Their mission is to produce the most comprehensive look at what’s happening to the world’s vulnerable ice sheets in Antarctica and Greenland.

Outside experts praised the work as authoritative.

June 3 was a typical Sunday in the hamlet of San Miguel Los Lotes, with residents engaged in usual weekend activities.

Walking through the hamlet, you can imagine boys playing soccer, mothers warming tortillas on a griddle, grandparents watching television, youths riding bicycles on the unpaved streets and children helping their mothers hang clothes out to dry before the seasonal rain began later in the afternoon.

Forty-nine-year-old Elmer Vazquez was one of those out walking that day, looking at his garden plots, when he heard the first explosion from the Volcano of Fire at 1 p.m. At that hour, his wife would be back at the house cooking lunch for when he returned, and their five children would be at home too, finishing their homework for Monday’s classes.

But all that was to end in a huge wall of hot ash that was descending the mountain; Vazquez tried to get back home, without success.

The town was quickly buried under a wave of hot ash, rocks and debris, creating a scene of death and desperation.

But strangely, some signs of that calm Sunday morning were frozen in time under the ash.

In one house, a skillet and spatula are still posed on a stove, now filled with ash.

The remains of a typical breakfast in rural Guatemala — a basket of tortillas, a bowl of beans, mugs of coffee — are still laid out on a table, all covered with dark, gritty volcanic ash.

A bicycle, a truck, a fan, beds, chairs, refrigerators, a stove — all buried under ash, which in some places drifted 10 feet (3 meters) deep. In other places, such as inside some more protected homes, the blanket of ash can…

Senators from both parties sought to mend a frayed relationship with Canada during a closed-door meeting Wednesday with Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland.

The meeting involving members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee follows President Donald Trump calling Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau “dishonest” and “weak” after the Group of 7 summit in Quebec over the weekend.

Sen. Bob Corker, the Republican chairman of the committee, says senators expressed concerns about the president’s use of a national security waiver to impose tariffs on steel and aluminum from Canada. Corker says he believes it’s an abuse of presidential authority.

Democratic Sen. Bob Menendez says he made clear to Freeland that Democrats cherish the relationship with Canada and disagree with Trump’s claim that Canadian steel and aluminum are a national security threat.

A member of parliament has said Russian women should not have “intimate relations” with foreigners during the World Cup and warned against biracial babies.

Tamara Pletnyova, head of the family, women and children’s affairs committee, argued that even if these relationships led to marriage, women or their children would inevitably be taken abroad by the man.

“Even if they get married, they’ll take them away, then she doesn’t know how to get back,” Ms Pletnyova said on radio station Govorit Moskva. “Then they come to me in the committee, girls crying that their baby was taken away, was taken, and so on.

“I’d like people in our country to marry for love, no matter what nationality as long as they are Russian citizens who will build a family, live peacefully, have children and raise them.”

She said women who had babies with foreigners around the time of the 1980 Olympics in Moscow often “suffered” as single mothers.

“It’s good if it’s one race, but if it’s another race, then they really did. We should have our own babies,” Ms Pletnyova said.

Biracial Russians were in the past often referred to as “children of the Olympics” or “festival children” after the huge international festivals the Soviet Union hosted with African, Middle Eastern and South American participants.

Dark-skinned Russians to this day often face frequent questions or discriminationin a country where less than 1 percent of the population is black.

Text: 1 Chronicles 16:13-36 (KJV)

Key Verse: “He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes” (1 Chronicles 16:21).

MESSAGE:

A preacher once said, “Look at that beautiful butterfly and learn from it to trust in God. One might wonder where it could live in tempestuous nights, in the whirlwind, or in the stormy day; but I have noticed it is safe and dry under the broad leaf while rivers have been flooded and the mountain oaks torn up from their roots.” Yes, God cares for His own. He has the power and the resources to protect and keep His children anywhere they might be on earth.

David, in the text for today, expressed the faithfulness of God and His ability to take care of His children. He experienced divine protection first hand. Even Goliath could not kill him, as well as King Saul, despite his numerous attempts to do so. This song of praise was composed after the ark of the Lord had been brought to Jerusalem. The death of Uzzah at the botched attempt notwithstanding, David was genuinely grateful and he wanted the nation to recognise the goodness of the Lord and His overarching grace.

It took forty years for Israel to journey from Egypt to Canaan. Without a standing army, God made them to overcome every enemy that came their way. They needed food and water all through the journey and He supplied them every day. Believers, like Israel of old, are on a journey to heaven. Every need today has been taken into consideration by our heavenly Father. Just like He protected Israel of old from their enemies in the wilderness, so will the Lord protect all those who put their trust in Him and praise Him always.

Scripture: And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. Genesis 32:26

Thought For The Day: What you do not confront, you do not conquer; you do not watch what you do not want.

It has been established that negative patterns and habits limit one’s life and destiny. It is also important to know that these patterns can be dealt with by identifying and making a decision to confront them.

Now, another key to dealing with these negative recurring cycles is to actually confront them. To confront a thing is to challenge it face to face; it is to engage it in a battle or to fight it out.

Why is it important to confront negative patterns or habits? What you do not confront, you do not conquer; you do not watch what you do not want; what you do not resist would persist; what you do not move against, would not move away. You must move against a negative tendency or habit in order to move it away.

When Israel was confronted by the Red Sea, God told them to go forward (Exodus 14:15); they confronted the Red Sea in order to conquer it. As the children of Israel moved, the Red Sea moved away. So, what you do not move against, would never move away and what you do not go against, would not go away. To move it away, you must move against it.

Now, how do you confront a negative tendency or habit? You confront it with quality vision and mentality, the mentality of refusing to live a life of failure, defeat, shame and reproach. You also fight a negative tendency or habit with light from God’s Word; fight it also with praise. The wall of Jericho collapsed by praise (Joshua 6:20); the prison door opened for Paul and Silas through praise (Acts 16:25).

Beloved, when you are ready to fight, God is ready to supply the strength.

Remember this: What you do not confront, you do not conquer; what you do not want, you do not watch.

Assignments:
1. Confront every negative pattern/habit in your life and family
2. Deploy the weapon of praise and revelation from God’s Word at the place of prayer.

Prayer: O Lord, I receive Your Strength to confront every negative tendency and habit in my life. I receive the impartation of the fighter’s spirit, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
