TREM Devotional 12 May 2018 by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – Preach Jesus Boldly

Topic: Preach Jesus Boldly [TREM Devotional Saturday May 12, 2018]

“And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.” Acts 11:20

Barnabas was the one who took Paul, brought him to the apostles and told them Paul was saved. The man (Paul) that left Jerusalem is not the same man that returned because he had an encounter with Jesus. No one believed in Paul except Barnabas.

In Acts 11:19, Philip and the entire apostles were scattered all over the place preaching the word and planting churches all over different cities. And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene which when they had come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus (Acts 11:20). What were they preaching? They preached the Lord Jesus. Everything in the scriptures from Genesis to Revelation is about Jesus. It is the unveiling of Jesus. When you preach and Jesus is not unveiled, faith will never come. For faith, cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. That word of God means the words of Christ. When you go out on evangelism, don’t preach condemnation, preach Jesus. In your work place, preach Jesus. In your community, preach Jesus. Let them see Jesus in you.

All the apostles preached Jesus. Stephen preached Jesus. Philip preached Jesus. Paul preached Jesus. All of them preached Jesus. “And the hand of the Lord was with them and a great number believed and turned unto the Lord, then tidings of these things came to the hearing of the church which was in Jerusalem.” (Acts 11:21-22). We are called as believers to be witnesses of Jesus, not of other people’s sins or the challenges they are facing, but Jesus. Even without you saying anything, let people see Jesus in you. It bears repetition, we are called to be witnesses of Jesus.

Take a quality decision today that wherever you go, you will preach Jesus. Decide that your life will be the mirror-image of Christ. As the world sees Jesus in you, they will follow you and seek the God you serve.

Kenneth & Gloria Copeland Devotional 12 May 2018 – River of Revelation

Topic: River of Revelation [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Saturday May 12, 2018]

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. – James 1:22

Have you ever been in the position in the past where every time you opened the Bible you received a river of revelation? Does it seem lately that the river’s run dry? If so, I strongly suggest that you backtrack to the last revelation God gave you. Back up and see if you acted on it, if you did what God showed you to do. If you didn’t, start again, digging in to that revelation and then putting it into action in your life. You’ll soon find new revelations are beginning to flow.

You see, revelation is most prolific when you are acting on the Word. I’ve discovered that for myself again and again. The more I act on the Word, the more I see into it. That’s why James 1:22 tells us to not only hear God’s Word but to do it!

It may seem that the things God has revealed to you are very insignificant. They may not even make good sense to your natural mind. But do them anyway! If you had insight into the spirit realm, you’d see they’re far more important than you think.

Open God’s Word anew today. Come before Him with expectancy of a fresh revelation of the Scripture and commit to Him to follow it up with actions of obedience. Be a doer of God’s revelations and not a hearer only and your river will never run dry.

Scripture Reading: James 1:22-27

Joyce Meyer’s Daily 12 May 2018 Devotional — I Am Protected

Topic: I Am Protected [Joyce Meyer’s Devotional Saturday May 12, 2018]

…Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. — Luke 5:4 NKJV

Spending time with God protects us from the attacks of our enemies. When I remember this, it helps me feel safe, and that is something we all desire.

Take a moment several times a day to simply turn your attention toward the Lord and say, “I know You are with me and that You are my Protector.” Then, take a few moments to dwell in that thought and let it comfort you. There is never a moment in your life when God is not with you.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for being with me at all times. Your Word says You will never forsake me, and You will protect me from those would harm me (see Hebrews 13:5). Help me to regularly spend time with You and daily focus on Your love and protection. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Teens Open Heavens 12 May 2018 – Good Or Bad Example

Topic: Good Or Bad Example [Teens Open Heavens 12, May 2018]

Memorise: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven. – Matthew 5:16

Read: 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)

18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Bible In One Year: 2 Kings 4-5, John 4:1-30

MESSAGE:

Whether we know it or not, our younger ones are watching us. The younger ones at home, church and school are copying everything they see us do. It is your choice to be good examples to them or bad examples. You must decide not to lead them astray. When you watch TV, your younger ones are taking note of the programs to watch when they are your age. When you use insulting words, your younger ones are memorizing the words to use when they get the chance to.

Don’t be deceived by thinking everyone has their separate lives to live, this is not true, we all influence each other even when we don’t try. If you are the first born of your family, you will probably be the greatest influencer of every other child in the family. By implication, the kind of family that you will be known as in the future depend on how you influence your younger ones today. Be a good example to them; teach them to love others, to be kind, to study their Bible, to pray, to be respectful and to be serious with their academics. Be a good example to your younger ones

Prayer Point: Lord Jesus Christ, help me to be a good example from today, and to be a good ambassador for you.

I. God give us Christian homes!
Homes Where the Bible is loved and taught,
Homes where the Master’s will is sought,
Homes crowned with beauty Your love has wrought;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

2. God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the father is true and strong,
Homes that are free from the blight of wrong,
Homes that are joyous with love and song;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

3. God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the mother, in caring quest,
Strives to show others Your way is best,
Homes where the Lord is an honoured guest;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

4. God give us Christian homes!
Homes where the Children are led to know,
Christ in His beauty who loves them so,
Homes where the altar fires burn and glow;
God give us Christian homes;
God give us Christian homes!

Seeds of Destiny 12 May 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Power Of Instruction

Topic: The Power Of Instruction [Seeds of Destiny Saturday May 12, 2018]

Scripture: Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. Proverbs 19:20

Thought For The Day: Anyone who is too big to be instructed and directed is too small to fulfil destiny.

The relevance of direction to life and destiny fulfilment can never be overemphasized. Direction is key to destiny fulfilment; one thing that direction does is that it shows one the pathway to destiny.

This means, direction determines destiny. To reach where you are going, you must know where you are going and the way that leads there. Get this: to be under clear direction and instruction is to be guaranteed a solid destiny. Anyone who is too big to be instructed and directed is too small to fulfil destiny.

At the mountain of transfiguration, Jesus was instructed in a way by Moses and Elijah, because they came to tell him what was ahead of Him (Luke 9:31). Even though He created them, He humbled Himself enough to receive instructions or information from them.

Someone may be so proud that even though he is missing his way, he struggles to find it all by himself, thereby wasting time and energy, instead of simply asking for direction. If someone else wants to assist him by showing him the right way, he would cockily resist and say, ‘Relax. I know the road,’ only to reach the wrong destination and realize that it is too late.

Beloved, you will not miss road in life.

My counsel is, settle down to be instructed in order to fulfil your destiny.

Remember this: Anyone who is too big to be instructed and directed is too small to fulfil destiny.

Assignments:
1. Decide to shun the lifestyle of pride and arrogance.
2. Humble yourself to be instructed.
3. Decide to hear God’s instruction through your pastor so you can be directed in life.

Prayer: O Lord, I reject the lifestyle of pride and arrogance that hinders Your instruction. I receive the spirit of meekness in order to be instructed, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna 12 May, 2018 by Pastor Kumuyi – A Greater Love

Topic: A Greater Love [DCLM Daily Manna Saturday May 12, 2018]

Text: John 20:10-18 (KJV)

Key Verse: “But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre” (John 20:11).

MESSAGE:

After the death of Argentinian, Miguel Guzman in 2006, it was reported that his faithful dog refused to leave the side of his master’s grave for six years. The German shepherd named Capitan ran away from home after the death of his master. A week later, Mr. Guzman’s family went to pay their respects and found the heartbroken pet sitting by his owner’s grave, wailing.

From the passage, Mary Magdalene stayed back at the sepulchre weeping even after all the disciples had returned to their homes. She kept waiting! She had been early at the grave on the first day of the week after the crucifixion to discover the empty grave. Not finding the body in the grave, the disciples returned perplexed, but Mary Magdalene stayed back to weep and await any further development about the Lord until suddenly Christ appeared to her to confirm His resurrection and for her to be the agent to broadcast the good news again.

Jesus, from Luke’s account, was said to have cast out seven demons from Mary Magdalene. She later served with other women in providing for and supporting Christ and his disciples in their ministry (Luke 8:2,3). She lived her life in full gratitude to the Lord. The love of God showed to her constrained her to love so much.

The question now is, how much is your love for the Master? When the goings get tough and many fellow believers around you lose their love and patience and decide to call it quits, will you stand and maintain your loyalty to Him? The Bible predicts that in the last days, the love of many shall wax cold, faith and commitment will decrease with many abandoning their vows. Such evil days call us to demonstrate to the Master that we love Him by remaining steadfast in His love, grace and commission.

Thought For The Day: True love for the Master transcends mere verbal professions.

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional Saturday, 12 May 2018 – Exercising Dominion

TOPIC: Exercising Dominion (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Saturday, 12 May 2018)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Daniel 11:3-7

MEMORY VERSE:
“Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no dominion over him.” –Romans 6:9

The MESSAGE:

Dominion resounds loudly. It is the ability to make people, things and animals around you conform to your standards. It is the ability to put a people, a system or a government under your yoke (Genesis 27:40). There are dominions and thrones, in the Heavens and on the Earth but it is only the dominion of God Almighty that rules and governs all.

God made King Nebuchadnezzar to lose his mind in order to show him who had dominion over his life (Daniel 4:33). Many Christians walk in servitude to the enemy; they walk in fear: the fear of witches, the fear of the occult, fear of devils, fear of native doctors and satanic oracles. The Bible says we are seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above principality and powers (Ephesians 1: 20-21), therefore we do not need to be afraid. The principle for exercising dominion is to fear God. Once you have the holy fear of God in your heart, you will run away from sin, after that you will begin to wield unimaginable power. Then you will realise that witches and wizards can be toothless when you go about things the right way.

True dominion comes from above and it is wielded by true sons and daughters of the Highest. Walk in dominion today and fulfill the will of God for your life.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Dominion is earned like a reputation; you don’t brag about it, it does the bragging for you.

PROPHETIC WORD:
Let the Holy Ghost dominion locate your destiny today.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING
1. O Lord, put Your holy fear within my heart, in the name of Jesus.
2. Every spirit of prayerlessness oppressing my life, enter into bondage, in the name of Jesus.
3. Thank You Lord for destroying the power of sin over my life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING
4. I refuse to be a candidate of oppression, in the name of Jesus.
5. Dominion power of the Holy Ghost, fall upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
6. Holy Spirit, connect me to the Father, in the name of Jesus.
7. I bring the blood of Jesus against the legal ground of the enemy over my life, in the name of Jesus.

Open Heavens 12 May 2018 Saturday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Decision-Making I

Topic: Decision-Making I [Open Heavens 12th May 2018, Saturday]

Memorise: And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. – Joshua 24:15

Read: Ruth 1:11-18 (KJV)

11 And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

12 Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;

13 Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.

14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.

15 And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.

16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

17 Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

18 When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

Bible in One Year: 1 Samuel 29-31, James 5

MESSAGE:

Are you presently at any of life’s crossroads? God expects that your decision would be the end-result of a process of reflection on the available choices before you, informed and sustained by a concern to please Him. You therefore need guidance from the Holy Spirit before making up your mind on any issue, especially the difficult ones. Our loving Father has provided assistance for our decision-makng process through the Holy Spirit, the Scriptures, individuals and the natural world around us. In Joshua chapter 24, the All-knowing God new that the Israelites would soon have to make the conscious decision of either serving Him or the gods of the nations around them. He therefore presented His case on why they should serve Him by reminding them of how He brought Abraham their father out of his native land, across the river, into the Promised Land. He further recounted how He delivered them from slavery in Egypt and took them through the wilderness with miracles, signs and wonders attending every aspect of their journey. The Lord then announced to them that if they found it difficult to serve Him wholeheartedly after everything he had done for them, they were free to choose whom they will serve. However, Joshua immediately answer for himself that he and his family would serve the Lord.

Why would God give His people the option of serving other gods? The truth of the matter is, our God’s leadership is not authoritarian or forceful. He will tell you His rules and regulations, and make his position on issues very clear. He will also reveal what awaits you in the future based on the choices you make today. You can be sure that He will allow you to have your way, and He will also give you the opportunity to exercise your free will. However, you must be ready to accept the repercussions of your choices and take responsibility for your actions at the end of it all. If you are a good student of the Bible, you will observe that each time anyone acted contrary to God’s word, they always suffered terribly for it. For example, contrary to God’s warning, Israel decided to have a king instead of letting God lead them through His prophets. They turned deaf ears to God’s warning in 1 Samuel 8:18 and they suffered terribly for it in the hands of Solomon and the succeeding kings. Rather than act in defiance to God’s instructions, it is always better to heed His counsel. Be ready to reason with God in His word and through prayers, and you will be rewarded with divine direction that will lead to your breakthrough (Isaiah 1:18).

Prayer Point: Father, please help me to always act according to Your will and to remain in Your favour in Jesus’ Name.

Save the Storks’ Mother’s Day Video Shows Why 4 Out of 5 Moms Are Choosing Life, Not Abortion

(Photo: Instagram/savethestorks)Mobile medical unit outside an abortion clinic in Troy, New York.

The pro-life nonprofit organization Save the Storks has released a powerful Mother’s Day campaign video showing pregnant women who are choosing not to abort their unborn babies after receiving free sonograms outside of abortion clinics on Save the Storks busses.

In response to a recent attack on Save the Storks by HBO’s John Oliver, the organization decided to show why their ministry is so effective. Save the Storks believes their Mother’s Day video will redefine what is possible for pro-life Americans.

“There are untold millions who have long been eager to come to the aid of would-be mothers in crisis; millions who believe they have limited opportunities to make a real difference. That changes today. This Mother’s Day campaign gives pro-life Americans the tools to make an impact wherever they are,” Victoria Robinson, director of external relations at Save the Storks, said in a statement shared with The Christian Post.

“Had information and resources like this been available to me when I was a young mother in crisis, I would have made vastly different choices. Every would-be mother has a fundamental right to understand all of her options during pregnancy, and we can’t wait to see how expanding on the success of Storks will transform countless…

One Student Injured in Shooting at Palmdale, CA High School

One Student Injured in Shooting at Palmdale, CA High School

A teen boy is in custody after he reportedly shot one of his fellow students at a Palmdale, California high school.

According to CNN.com, the 14-year-old suspect reportedly shot another teen in the arm at Highland High School before the school day officially started on Friday, May 11.

Both teens are students at the school, but neither of their names have been released. The teen who was injured reportedly drove himself to a hospital and is in stable condition.

Authorities apprehended the suspect at a Vons grocery store, about a mile from the school. While police searched for the suspect and secured the area, the school was on lockdown. Over two hours after the shooting occurred, students were released to be picked up by parents or guardians.

One mother of a Highland student said she thought a text her son sent her was a joke at first:

“I thought he was joking, and I’m like, ‘Don’t mess around, that’s not funny,'” said mother Ana Salazar. “And he’s like, ‘No mom, for reals, I locked myself up. I heard it at the other side of the school. There was one shot. And I’m locked up in one of the buildings now.'”

Palmdale is about 40 miles north of Los Angeles. This is reportedly the 21st school shooting in the US this year.
