3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

MESSAGE:

In John 9:6-7, a man who was born blind met with the Lord and his eyes were opened in a dramatic way. If just one contact could just do that much, how much more when you abide in Him? When you abide in Christ, He makes everything become new. When you abide in Him, there is a new beginning for you. Are you abiding in Christ? If you are in Christ today, and tomorrow you are in sin, then you are not abiding in Him.

Abiding in Christ creates the atmosphere to get the best results from God’s Word. If you are in a hurry to study God’s Word, it will not sink into you, and you will be unable to reach the depth where you can get revelation. You need to read, study, memorize and meditate on the Word, so that you can have good success (Joshua 1:8). Abiding in Him helps you to stay holy. To prosper and become fruitful or successful through Him, you must be holy.

Key Point: Anytime you step out of Christ, you are exposed to the bullets and arrows of the enemy. Stay in Him!

Topic: Ignorance Is A “Demon…” [Our Daily Manna ODM Monday, February 5th, 2018]

Basic Scripture: Hosea 4:1-11

I would like to use the illustrations below to let you understand why the Bible in today’s devotional scripture says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge….” (Vs 6): A short illustration in a classroom set up: Teacher: Good morning students. Our lesson today is to find an answer to the question, “Where is God?”

Student Peter: God is everywhere, because wherever I go, I hear people talking about God. Student Nancy: God is in heaven because, in the morning, we say, “Our Father, who art in heaven.” Student Anthony: God is in the bathroom because whenever I’m bathing in the morning, my father will knock on the door and say, “O God! You are still in the bathroom?”

The above appears funny, but it shows that knowledge is important in whatever you are doing or will ever do in life, family and ministry this year! You may twist, gyrate, jump, shout or cry, but till you know the telephone numbers of heaven (The word, the Name and the Blood of Jesus), heaven or hell does not repeat your prayers! In this New Year 2018, my desire is that: You will eat of the tree of knowledge over and over again because you have already eaten of the tree of life – JESUS CHRIST! Ignorance is the curse of God; knowledge is the wing wherewith we connect to heaven. What you don’t know is your biggest demon! No wonder knowledge is power! See John 5:39 “search the Scriptures…” You search because to know is to know that you know nothing! That is the meaning of true knowledge!

Then the great Plato noted: “Human behavior flows from three main sources: desire, emotion, and knowledge.” Indeed, there are still Mountains of Knowledge you must climb in your career and calling if you must see REGULAR DECORATION this year! Determine to know more through books and various reading sources this year! BURY LAZINESS and PROCASTINATION! The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. No wonder Augustus Hare quipped: Thought is the wind, knowledge the sail, and mankind the vessel.” Oh, bury ignorance from your life and ministry forever: Go to the “internet university” read books or buy CDs. Do something, but you must know more than you did last year.

Topic: Weighed And Found Wanting [DCLM Daily Manna Monday February 5th, 2018]

Text: Jeremiah 7:16-28 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee” (Jeremiah 7:16)

MESSAGE:

“When God measures a person, He places the measuring-tape around the heart and not the mind” – Augustine (early Christian theologian and philosopher).

God told Prophet Jeremiah in the Bible passage under consideration not to bother himself praying for Israel because He would not answer. Thus, their access to God was effectively blocked because of their idolatry. The indictment was brought upon all Israelites including fathers, mothers and children who offered sacrifices to the queen of heaven and to other deities. In his fury, God threatened judgment that would completely devastate the land and wipe out even the trees and vegetation. Their attempt to invoke His blessings through animal sacrifices was useless because God demands obedience rather than sacrifice.

Israel’s existence and continued progress depended on the presence of God in their midst to deliver them from surrounding stronger nations who opposed and often attacked them. They have had outcomes of battles miraculously decided in their favour because God fought for them. They had enjoyed much favour through His help, usually secured through prayers offered by their priests and prophets. With that avenue of getting divine help now blocked, the road became wide open for the predicted Babylonian captivity to take effect.

We should be careful not to turn around to the sins we left behind. Allowing the old sins to come back in any form attracts God’s judgment. This accounts for the difficulty some unstable believers are having today in securing answers to their prayers because access to the throne of mercy and grace where prayers are answered will be denied once sin is accommodated. The way to restore divine pleasure is through repentance, cleansing and obedience to God.

Topic The Image Of God Is In You [TREM’s Daily Monday February 5, 2018]

“And God said; Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…….” Genesis 1:26 (KJV)

You are made in the image of God. That means what you are inside is the real man. Our real person is not seen, it is inside. In other words, our true self is inside not this outward body. You are a spirit, you have a soul and you live in a body. The body is a container given to you for access here on earth. So you are not a body. This same suit we call body limited even Jesus in some areas. He could only be in one place at a time. He couldn’t be in many places at the same time. That is why He said, it is expedient for me to go away. If I go away, it is better for you because I will be able to operate in many parts through the Holy Spirit.

The earth is designed in such a way that it limits the body. But God is unlimited and so everything that God is has been deposited inside you. The image of God is in you. In other words, if God is not limited, you are not. The thing that makes life consistent and successful is already inside you. That is what you are and that is who you are. Whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified. (Romans 8:29-30) So there is a glory seat that belongs to you.

You are not called for shame. You are not called for disgrace or disappointment. God did not allow you to be born to just pass through this earth or to pass time. You are called to make an impact. There is something unique about you. There is a glory that is inside you that will set you apart among many equals. You will manifest in Jesus name.

Topic: Your Atmosphere, A Reflection Of Who You Belong To [Seeds of Destiny Monday February 5, 2018]

Scripture: And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. 2 Kings 4:9

Thought For The Day: Holiness is perceivable, character is discernible and spirituality is feel-able.

Sometime ago, we were in a car shop in New Jersey, U.S.A. and a man who is a Liberian-American saw me and asked me with much certainty, ‘Are you a pastor? I said, how do you know? He said, ‘It is written all over you.’ I have had such an experience on different occasions. So, what you carry or who you belong to is perceivable or discernible.

On another occasion, my wife and I were in an aircraft and an evil spirit in someone began to manifest violently immediately he saw me. I looked into his eyes and he began to utter some meaningless things. The devil in him was tormented by the Presence of God in me.

Beloved, when you belong to God, people perceive it when they see you. In our text, 2 Kings 4:9, the woman from Shunem said, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. She did not sit down to discuss with the man of God but every time he passed by, there was something about him that was unmistakeable. So, holiness is perceivable, character is discernible and spirituality is feel-able. When you are spiritual, you know and those who know you can attest to it.

There are people, when you see them, what you perceive is seduction. For instance, some women are not yet dressed until their cleavage is exposed. That is seduction.

Beloved, surrender your life completely to God. Let Him own you and let His ownership of you reflect on your character and appearance, and God will exempt you from what is confronting the world.

Remember This: Holiness is perceivable, character is discernible and spirituality is feel-able.

1. Endeavour to deliberately pattern your character to reflect the Nature of Christ.
2. Study the Word of God and maintain a continuous fellowship with the Holy Spirit.
3. Let your appearance glorify God anywhere you find yourself.
