Billy Graham’s Daily 27 January 2018 Devotional: Responsibility of Family

Topic: Responsibility of Family [Billy Graham’s Daily Saturday January 27th, 2018]

Bless me and my family forever! — 2 Samuel 7:29 (TLB)

Apart from religious influence, the family is the most important unit of society. It would be good if every home were Christian, but we know that it is not so. The family and the home can never exert their proper influence while ignoring the biblical standard.

The Bible calls for discipline and a recognition of authority. If children do not learn this at home, they will go out into society without the proper attitude toward authority and law. There is always the exceptional child, but the average tells us that the child is largely what the home has made him. The only way to provide the right home for your children is to put the Lord above them, and fully instruct them in the ways of the Lord. You are responsible before God for the home you provide for them.

Prayer for the day: Father, keep me from any word or deed that might hinder a child from loving You.

TREM’s Daily 27 January 2018 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – Abide In Christ

Topic: Abide In Christ [TREM’s Daily Saturday January 27th, 2018]

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5 (KJV).

God intends for us to be productive. He intends for us to bear fruits and He intends for us to be successful in whatever we are involved in. That is His intention and He has made adequate provision for us to be successful in our health, in our finances and in all areas of our lives.

God wasn’t suggesting to us to be the branches neither was He telling us to try to be the branches. No! He wants us to realize that we already are the branches. And that is who you are. Your ability to partake of what God has made available for you depends on your positioning. Your positioning is constant; it is stable and you can depend on it. Your positioning is unshakable. It doesn’t fluctuate with events and circumstances around you. Your circumstances fluctuate, they do change, they move from one end to the other. The Bible tells us that the things that we see are subject to change but God’s word does not change. It is infallible, it is errorless, it is impregnable and it can be depended upon.

As branches, all we need to do is to abide. Abide in Christ our vine. Stay there! No matter what you see. No matter the challenge you face, take your place in Christ. And how does that work? By becoming constantly conscious of that positioning every day!

As you abide consciously in the vine, you shall be fruitful, just like a branch abides connected to the trunk of a tree and fruits are produced. The same way, when you abide in the vine in truth, it will be a natural phenomenon. You will just discover that you are producing results. Why? Because it is not about you. The life is in the vine; all you did is to connect. You connect to collect.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily January 27, 2018 Devotional: God Wants You Well

Topic: God Wants You Well [Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Saturday January 27th, 2018]

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord. – Jeremiah 30:17

God wants you well! Did you know that? He wants you healthy and strong in every single area of your life.

He wants you to be spiritually strong. Strong in faith. Strong in the Word. Strong in redemption. Strong in the love of God.

He wants you to be well in your mind, to be strong and stable emotionally.

He wants you to have a healthy will, a will that’s aligned with His will.

He wants your body to be well. He wants you free from the bondages of pain, sickness and care. Free from the worries and woes of this earthly life.

Your heavenly Father wants you well!

What’s more, in this day and hour, He needs you well. He needs you living in victory and healing so that you can teach others how to do it too. We’re stepping in to a time when that kind of knowledge is an absolute necessity. There’s no more time for the Body of Christ to limp along, uninformed and unprepared for the devil’s attacks.

In fact, here’s what the Lord has told me:

The further you go, the more dangerous things in the earth will become. People will have to grow in the realities of redemption and the “how-to’s” of living by faith in order to live in the great, overcoming way I have planned for them.

Jesus gave Himself in death so that we could be well. He was raised in life, ever making intercession for us now so that we can be well. And He wants us to be healthy and strong as a witness in these last days to a world that’s filled with terror—a witness of His love, His grace and His power.

Receive Jesus’ healing power in every area of your life. Start applying it by faith right now. Commit yourself to getting well and growing strong in every area of your life today!

Our Daily Bread 27 January 2018 Devotional – The Last Word

Topic: The Last Word [Our Daily Bread 27th Saturday January, 2018]

Read: Ecclesiastes 5:1–7, Bible in a Year: Exodus 16–18; Matthew 18:1–20

Do not be quick with your mouth, do not be hasty in your heart. Ecclesiastes 5:2

One day during a university philosophy class, a student made some inflammatory remarks about the professor’s views. To the surprise of the other students, the teacher thanked him and moved on to another comment. When he was asked later why he didn’t respond to the student, he said, “I’m practicing the discipline of not having to have the last word.”

This teacher loved and honored God, and he wanted to embody a humble spirit as he reflected this love. His words remind me of another Teacher—this one from long ago, who wrote the book of Ecclesiastes. Although not addressing how to handle an angry person, he said that when we approach the Lord we should guard our steps and “go near to listen” rather than being quick with our mouths and hasty in our hearts. By doing so we acknowledge that God is the Lord and we are those whom He has created (Ecclesiastes 5:1–2).

How do you approach God? If you sense that your attitude could use some adjustment, why not spend some time considering the majesty and greatness of the Lord? When we ponder His unending wisdom, power, and presence, we can feel awed by His overflowing love for us. With this posture of humility, we too need not have the last word.

Prayer: Lord God, I want to honor You and I bow before You now in silence. Teach me how to pray and how to listen.

Carefully chosen words honor God.

Insight:

The power and significance of our words is a repeated topic in Scripture. Following the admonitions of Proverbs and anticipating the words of Jesus and James (see Proverbs 10:13, 32; 12:16–17; 13:3; 16:1; Matthew 12:34; Luke 6:45; James 3:3–12), the writer of Ecclesiastes warns about controlling our tongues.

Why do we need to watch what we say? Because our words are a recognition of who we are in relationship to God. When the writer warns, “God is in heaven and you are on earth” (Ecclesiastes 5:2), he is saying that humility is the proper attitude toward our words because we do not know everything. Being “quick with your mouth” (v. 2) may lead us to say things that are untrue and make plans based on wrong information.

How does knowing that God—the Creator of the universe—is in heaven and we are on earth help you to humbly choose your words? J.R. Hudberg

Dunamis Seeds of Destiny 27 January 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche – Securing Parental Coverage: A Key To Divine Wisdom

Topic — Securing Parental Coverage: A Key To Divine Wisdom [Seeds of Destiny Saturday January 27th, 2018]

Scripture: And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. Hosea 12:13.

Thought For The Day: Parental blessings and goodwill are very crucial to living a life of impact and greatness.

It has been established that one way to walk in wisdom is walking with God. In other words, to walk with God is to walk in wisdom.

Previously, we also noted that one wisdom key that distinguishes people in life is always taking a stand against evil even if you have to stand alone.

Today, another wisdom key to an outstanding lifestyle is: always endeavour to secure parental goodwill and blessing.

By parental goodwill and blessing, I mean the goodwill and blessing of both biological and spiritual parenthood. Parental blessings and goodwill are very crucial to living a life of impact and greatness on earth.

Joseph rode on the wings of parental blessing and goodwill to secure his colourful destiny. It is important to know that Jacob was not just the earthly father of Joseph, he was also Joseph’s spiritual cover.

One of the reasons Jacob loved Joseph more than all his other children, apart from the fact that he was the son of his old age, was that he (Joseph) always brought the evil report of his brothers. That action of Joseph, which signified his stand for righteousness, pleased his father, Jacob. Joseph always did what the father wanted him to do, and so, he came under the spiritual cover of his father.

Joseph honoured and valued his father and his father’s word; he stood for what his father stood for. He had regard for spiritual cover.

A major difference between Joseph and his brothers was that he had the backing of his father. His father imparted him with a mantle in form of a coat of many colours. This coat of many colours that his father gave him was a prediction of his colourful destiny.

Remember This: Parental blessings and goodwill are very crucial to living a life of impact and greatness on earth.

Assignments:

1. Endeavour to secure a spiritual parental cover (if you have none).

2. Connect to your prophetic cover in order to realize your destiny.

Prayer: O Lord, I connect to a prophetic cover over my life. Give me the grace Lord, to connect properly in Jesus’ Name.

Our Daily Manna January 27, 2018: ODM devotional: The Favor Of Hushai! – 1

Topic: The Favor Of Hushai! – 1 [Our Daily Manna ODM Saturday, January 27th, 2018]

Basic Scripture: 2 Samuel 17:5-15

Oh last night was awesome! To God be the glory for the great testimonies! DELAY IS BURIED! Your DECORATION will come SPEEDILY! Hushai means “speed” or haste! He was just a mere servant/messenger of David who was unknown and poor! His life was the opposite of his name. He was slow, delayed and stagnant in life. That was why David said that he will be a burden to him because of his uninspiring or problematic life (2 Sam.15:32-33).

He was however sent by this same king David as a secret spy to the camp of Absalom/Ahitophel when they both rebelled! Note that in this year 2018, GOD CAN USE ANYBODY TO CHANGE YOUR STORY. Be flexible and open to the Holy Ghost as you go out today and daily. Note that Bush ain’t would have been charged treasonable felony if he had been caught. But divine favor was on his side! At that time, the wisest person on earth was called Ahitophel.

But favor made the fake king Absalom to seek for the advice of Hushai based on what Ahitophel had counseled! Mystery! Mystery!! Mystery!!! Yes! This was mysterious because the advice of an unknown, common Hushai was sought after the wisest man, Ahitophel, had spoken. What made the king to ask Hushai to speak after the wise man has spoken is called favor!!! Who was Hushai to speak after Ahitophel has spoken? Oh, more mysteries! He did not only speak, his council was PREFERRED ABOVE that of Ahitophel!!! Amazing! This shall be your story this year in Jesus name.

You shall be preferred above others wherever you go and as I lay hands on everyone again tomorrow at the manna mountain OGUDU, Lagos, 8pm. You shall be the head and not the tail! Just as Hushai was favored and decorated, that shall be your story this year in Jesus name. Pray now!

NOTICE ON CHANGE OF PRINTING PAPER: The cost of pure white paper has gone beyond reach because of the dollar scarcity in Nigeria. Therefore, we are constrained to use the current off-white paper In order to keep the vision running. The pure white paper has become expensive that we have to use it, your popular ODM may become out of reach for thousands worldwide because we may have to increase the price you buy it. Please bear with us! HEAVEN AT LAST is the goal and the quality of the daily message will never be affected by the grace of God!

Prayer Points: Take song 1: Draw me nearer……

  • Thank God for todays word and pray as you are led!
  • Decree that Last Night’s answers and your 21 day fasting result will be PERMANENT!
  • Hushai was nobody turned to somebody! Oh lord, turn my life and destiny into a mysterious testimony! Let men/women wonder at me this year! Give him thanks!
  • Favour if Hushai; locate my destiny!

DCLM Daily Manna 27 January, 2018 by Pastor Kumuyi – A Glimpse Of His Grace

Topic: A Glimpse Of His Grace [DCLM Daily Manna Saturday January 27th, 2018]

Text: Psalm 76:1-12 (KJV)

1 (To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song of Asaph.) In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

4 Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

11 Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

Key Verse: “At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.” (Psalm 76:6)

In 1863, former President Abraham Lincoln of the United States declared in a state address: “We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.”

That was a sincere acknowledgement of God’s graciousness to America which hitherto placed its trust in Him. If so much could be said about God’s grace and greatness towards America, more of such can be said about Israel. The Psalmist acknowledges and celebrates this, especially as demonstrated in the defeat of the enemies of God’s people. Great men of the world, stout-hearted, powerful and tyrannical, may rage but at the rebuke of the Most High, they and everything they trust in are destroyed. For this, God ought to be feared and worshipped by all.

It is sad that most people know little about the incredible greatness of God (Isaiah 40:15,17). By His power, He is able to preserve His people till date. As true believers in Christ, we are recipients of God’s bountiful grace. He is our Defender and Refuge. We ought, therefore, to honour Him with all our being and belongings.

Thought For The Day: God is truly gracious and good: appreciate Him and live by this truth.

Bible Reading in a Year: Genesis 43-45.
