Kenneth Copeland Acquires New Gulfstream V Jet, Seeks $19.5M for Upgrades and Maintenance

Thanks to the support of his deep-pocketed partners, Texas-based televangelist Kenneth Copeland of Kenneth Copeland Ministries has acquired a new multimillion dollar Gulfstream V jet that he says will help him do the Lord’s work and help him avoid having to contend with “demons” that travel on commercial airlines.

Copeland’s ministry announced last Friday the acquisition of the “debt free” jet, which hit the market with a $36 million price tag in 1998. The ultra-long-range business jet can accommodate up to four crew members and 14 passengers in an executive configuration, according to Gulfstream. It is unclear how much Copeland’s ministry paid for the jet but AV Buyer says they currently have the lowest priced Gulfstream V on the market priced at just under $6 million.

“Father we thank you so and I’m asking you now sir, according to your word, bless our partners beyond measure. Yes, in the name of Jesus. For you said in 2002, ‘I’m sending you new partners who are very strong financially and they will obey me. And I will increase your longtime partners and they will obey me,” Copeland, 81, said in a prayer of thanksgiving for the new jet.

The Christian MEP for the North East of England said: “This has, as is a matter of public record, placed it at considerable variance with my own views.”

In a statement on his website he cited the “nastiness” within politics to be part of the reason.

 

He added: “I tried my best to avoid the nastiness that pervades modern politics. I believed my party to be different, or at least to be capable of becoming something different.”

Arnott went on to give examples of the many examples within UKIP of bad treatment.

He mentioned Steven Woolfe, the MEP who was supposedly punched by MEP Mike Hookem, as well as character assassinations within the party.

“There have been lovely, caring, wonderful people in UKIP over the years – people who are as far from the media stereotype of UKIP members as the North Pole is from the South,” Arnott said.

“Many, like me, have seen no alternative but to take the course of action I must now also take with a heavy heart.”

God has been using Annahita Parsan’s life in incredible ways for His Kingdom. Parsan, who is originally from Iran, converted to Christianity, and is now leading many others to Christ in Sweden.


The Christian Post reports that Parsan grew up in Iran in a Muslim home. She was married at 16 to a man who was later killed in a car accident. She fought for custody of her son and later remarried. However, her second husband was abusive, and although she wanted to file for divorce, she felt trapped because she was pregnant again.


In 1984, Parsan, her daughter, and the rest of her family were forced to become refugees as violence swept the region with the conflict between Iran and Iraq.


Parsan ended up in Denmark where she first heard about the Gospel. Although she had been introduced to the Good News, her abusive relationship still made her feel trapped. She even attempted to take her own life.


That was really the turning point for her. Finding herself in the hospital, she realized Jesus’ calling on her life.

“I was too scared to go home and the police came to the hospital to talk to me. Many people were helping me find a safe place to live, and I knew it was Jesus,” Parsan recalled.


Parsan’s husband ended up being caught trying to kidnap the children and bring them back to Iran. With her abusive husband out of the picture, Parsan and her children moved to…

Kevin, Andrew, and Luis Palau all stood together on Thursday to make the shocking announcement that beloved world-renowned evangelist Luis Palau was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer.

“We wanted to tape this video to tell the whole world that love dad and the work that we do what’s been going on in dad’s life,” Kevin, president of Luis Palau Ministries, said in the social media video posted Thursday.

He then proceeded to share that his father fell ill after a busy fall season, as he returned from an overseas trip to the U.K. They believed he only had a chest cold but when it didn’t go away the family convinced Luis to go to the doctor.

“To our surprise, the early report that we got just before Christmas [said] that there was some cancer inside one of dad’s lungs,” Kevin explained.

They got extra testing done and went to an oncologist who revealed the terminal diagnosis.

“Just a few days ago we got the word that it’s stage 4 lung cancer. That’s a shock, especially with someone who’s always been as healthy as dad,” he continued.

The son said they made the video so that people can join them in prayer. Luis then shared his heart concerning everything.

In a twelve-minute YouTube video, shared on the Luis Palau Association web page, Palau, alongside two of his sons, explained how the family learned that the cancer has reached Stage Four – the most advanced level.

He said: “It was a shock.

 

“I haven’t been in hospital one night except when I broke a bone back in 1984 after a mission to London.”

Palau said the first thing he did when he heard the news was cry.

“I think, ‘Oh wow. I could be gone in a few months,'” he said.

“You cry a lot.

“You cry when you think about your sons, about your ministry, about your friends, about your wife.”

 

However, the 83-year-old said he didn’t feel “horror” or “panicked”.

Explaining why he doesn’t fear death, he said: “Peace with the Lord is deep.

“One verse that hit me hard is Isaiah 41:10 – ‘Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed. I am your God'”.

“I know that the Lord is with me by the Holy Spirit indwelling.

“I’m ready, I know it sounds crazy to say, ‘I can’t wait to go to heaven’… now, it’s a reality for me.”

He said he was confident that the Palau Association would be in good hands if “the Lord wants to take me home”.

“Thank God that ten years ago – with the leaders of our team and the board of directors – we elected Kevin to be president and CEO,” Palau said, adding that his son other son Andrew will continue as an evangelist in the ministry.
