Teens’ Open Heavens 29th November 2017 by Pastor Adeboye – Fearless Messenger?

Teens’ Open Heavens 29th November 2017 by Pastor Adeboye - Fearless Messenger?

Topic: Fearless Messenger? [Wednesday 29th, November 2017]

Memorise: “Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.”Jeremiah 1:8

Read: Jeremiah 1:4-10

4 Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Bible In One Year: Romans 15-16. Hymn: Sing Hymn 4 — Take My Life And Let It Be

MESSAGE:

There are different methods by which God can send His word to His people. The Word of the Lord came unto Jeremiah telling him not to fear the faces of the people he was sent to because the message God had given him would not be pleasant message for them. Same was the account of Jonah when he was given a message to the people of Nineveh. The message of God to His children is always in various forms. It contains doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). People are very selective about the kind of messages they listen to.

2 Timothy 4:3 says

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”

You have to be fearless in preaching the Word of God. You must be instant in season and out of season. Whatever assignment God has given to you, do not be afraid. You will meet with many oppositions and enemies but you can be sure that God is by your side. They may look big, but they are not bigger than the One who has sent you. God will always deliver you out of the hand of persecutors.

Key Point: If God be for you who can be against you?

Sing Hymn 4: Take My Life And Let It Be

1. Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

2. Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.

3. Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.

4. Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.

5. Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.

6. Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

Eating More Spicy Food Can Help Decrease Salt and Sugar Cravings

Retuers/Fatima El-Kareem StringerSpicy food can help curb salt and sugar cravings.

Studies have proven that increasing the intake of spicy food can help bring down salt and sugar cravings.

Those who are looking to decrease their consumption of salty and sugary food can resort to eating more spicy food to control their cravings, CNN reports.

According to the study published on the American Heart Association, Inc, results revealed that the regions of the brain stimulated by eating salty and spicy foods overlapped. This means that people can trick their brain into thinking that they satisfy their salt cravings by eating spicy food.

This was confirmed by professor and director of the Department of Hypertension and Endocrinology at the Third Military Medical University in Chongqing, China, Dr. Zhiming Zhu.

“It makes us taste the same (level of) saltiness even when a reduced amount of salt is actually consumed,” Dr. Zhu said.

The study involving 600 participants even quantified the amount of salt that was consumed less by those who regularly eat spicy food, which is 2.5 grams a day, totaling to 1,000 milligrams less than those who disliked peppery flavors. Those who like spicy food were also found to have lower blood pressure than those who don’t.

The study has yet to determine whether their findings apply to people outside of China. However, associate professor Richard David Wainford, from the Department of Pharmacology at Boston University School of Medicine, said that the effects of spicy food could still be used to better the majority’s health.

“A lifestyle intervention that adds taste to the…

Seeds of Destiny 29th November 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Wisdom In Having A Reserve

Seeds of Destiny 29th November 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Wisdom In Having A Reserve

Topic: The Wisdom In Having A Reserve [Wednesday November 29, 2017]

Scripture: This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine. Genesis 41:36 (NIV)

Thought For Today: It is your savings that saves you from future sobbing.

Wisdom is the application of the right knowledge for effective result and impact. It is the correct application of mentality to activity.

It is wisdom that differentiates an overcomer from an under-goer; wisdom is the demarcating line between a celebrity and a nonentity; wisdom is a key to stardom. Kingdoms are stabilized by wisdom.

Our anchor Scripture above reviews the wisdom for maintaining a reserve as exemplified by Joseph in Egypt. Joseph seemed to have told Pharaoh, ‘In order for the people not to starve to death tomorrow, they must reserve some portions of their surplus today.’

Beloved, the reserve is a secret of rescue for life and destiny. It is your savings that saves you from future sobbing and embarrassment.

There are some people whose factories are in the toilet; their estates and duplexes have been buried in the toilets. This is because each time they close from work, they must stop over at KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken), Mr. Biggs, Chicken Republic and the likes to squander their money.

The truth is, after just few hours, they would be on their way to the toilet, and the cycle continues. So, instead of building their duplexes on land, they build them in the toilets due to over-spending and excessive eating. As a result, they are left without a reserve, nothing saved for the future. What a colossal waste!

But you shall not be a victim, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: It is your savings that saves you from future sobbing.

Assignment(S):

1. Make a conscientious determination to have a storehouse (savings).

2. Endeavour not to eat everything that enters your hand; save a percentage of it.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: WISDOM FROM THE LIFE OF JOSEPH- 6A

Prayer: LORD, I ask for Your help to develop the lifestyle of savings. Give me the grace to maintain a storehouse and the discipline not to spend everything that enters my hand, in Jesus’ Name.

TREM’s Daily 29th November 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – You Are Not Ordinary: You Are Royalty!

TREM’s Daily 29th November 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - You Are Not Ordinary: You Are Royalty!

Topic — You Are Not Ordinary: You Are Royalty! — Wednesday November 29, 2017.

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5:10 KJV)

The reason the devil runs riot over you is because you have refused to behave like royalty. You refused to behave like one even though you are. As royalty, there are places you shouldn’t go and vocabularies you shouldn’t use. There are environments you shouldn’t be found in because you are royalty. The enemy will defeat you if you don’t know who you are. As a royalty, there are ways you cannot talk. And there are movies you cannot watch because you don’t want your mind twisted. You must live your life by virtue of who you are. You are Royalty!

For too long, the Church has been a misrepresentation of Royalty and the Kingdom of God. We don’t have the authority that goes with royalty because we think we are ordinary. No, you are not ordinary. You are royalty. You are not like every other person. Carry yourself with the dignity of who you are. Square your shoulders, raise your head in pride, you are royalty.

God has elevated you, why are you reducing yourself? Take responsibility for your life. The only assignment we have is to take responsibility. Stand in the authority of the kingdom and take charge. Refuse to be common. Don’t let your life be a refuse dump. Don’t reduce yourself to a common person. Beloved, you are special to heaven. When you realise that you are royalty, then you will realise that it is not everything commoners do that you can partake in. The unfortunate thing is that the world is very much aware of our status and envy it, yet we, the redeemed of the Lord do not know it.

The time has come. Take your place and reign over every situation in your life. Speak to yourself over and over again. Declare it. Write it on your walls, stick it on your mirror. Keep it in view until you become one with it.

Our Daily Manna November 29th, 2017: ODM devotional – Don’t Miss The Lesson!

Our Daily Manna November 29th, 2017: ODM devotional – Don’t Miss The Lesson!

Topic: Don’t Miss The Lesson! [Wednesday, November 29, 2017]

Basic Scriptures: Judges 14:5-18

Jim Rohn, the great American philosopher who died in 2009, once said, “It’s too bad, failure don’t give seminars. Wouldn’t that be valuable? If you meet a guy that has messed up his life for forty years, you’ve just met a guy who could change your life for the better. Sit down with him and take notes!” Amazing!

Welcome to today’s prophetic devotional encounter. Note that bad times have a scientific value. These are occasions a good learner would not miss. No matter what you are going through or will go through, learn from every event in your life. Is it not always said, that sweet are the uses of adversity? Yes, there is indeed honey in every lion you battle along your pathway of progress. NOBODY IS EXEMPTED FROM BATTLES!

I was in great shock when blackmailers invaded my life a while ago! They for my house documents which they were to use for a bank loan! They also demanded for 50,000 dollars cash. They said I was popular and ODM was worldwide and thought they could scoop on that! But my fight back and subsequent police action including a secret record of their demands on tape and their been charged to court, led to their unbelievable attack on my person via social media. Unbelievable lies/fabrications were unleashed on my person! That was a strong battle season of my life which later turned to a NEW, TREMEDOUS ANOINTING PHASE and OPEN DOORS for this vision! Wow! Oh, like the life of Samson, there are times your battle becomes a riddle to interpret. Never mind, a solution is coming!

The difficulties, hardship and trials are encounters on the road to fortune! They knit your spiritual muscles more firmly and teach you reliance on the mighty God. Just by wrestling with an athlete who is superior to us, we can increase our own strength and learn his secrets. Life has many secrets that you will yet discover! So, stop lamenting and stop pitying yourself! Adversity is a breeding ground for miracles! Yesterday’s failures are tomorrow’s fortune! Oh! Can’t you see your glorious tomorrow? As I write this piece now, I have a strong witness that someone using this devotional is about to celebrate!

Refuse to poison your expensive future with the agony of the past! Trials, pain and failure teach men lessons, which they would never learn without them. Don’t miss the lesson in any allowed battle!

Give out the 2018 Our Daily Manna as Christians and New Year gift item. Get your copy from your nearest bookshop or always get in touch with odmdaily now! I prophesy a special testimony as you do so be expectant! YOUR SPECIAL DECORATION IS COMING – 2018!

Prayer Points: Take any song of worship as led.

1. Lord, though this life is like a large farm and we know not what tools to use, though we hope with little faith, give me the heart to fight!

2. Pray any other prayer point as you are led for yourself.

Our Daily Bread 29th November 2017 Devotional – The Power of Empathy

Our Daily Bread 28th November 2017 Devotional – The Power of Empathy

Topic: The Power of Empathy — Wednesday November 29, 2017.

Read: Hebrews 2:14–18; 13:1–3, Bible in a Year: Ezekiel 35–36; 2 Peter 1

Remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison. Hebrews 13:3

Put on the R70i Age Suit and you immediately feel forty years older as you experience impaired vision, hearing loss, and reduced mobility. The Age Suit was designed to help caregivers better understand their patients. Wall Street Journal correspondent Geoffrey Fowler wore one and wrote, “The unforgettable, and at times distressing, experience shed light not just on aging, but also how virtual reality equipment can teach empathy and shape our perceptions of the world around us.”

Empathy is the power to understand and share the feelings of another. During a time of severe persecution against the followers of Jesus, the writer of Hebrews urged fellow believers to “continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering” (13:3).

This is exactly what our Savior has done for us. Jesus was made like us, “fully human in every way . . . that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted” (2:17–18).

Christ the Lord, who became like us, calls us to stand with others “as if [we] were together with them” during their time of need.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we marvel at Your willingness to share our flesh and blood in order to purchase our salvation. Give us grace to stand with others who are in need today.

Jesus calls us to stand with others as if we were in their place.

Insight:

Hebrews 2:17–18 tell us that Jesus had to take all human suffering and sin upon Himself to both understand and heal humanity. But is it possible for each of us to truly empathize and help believers who are suffering? Hebrews suggests “yes,” noting that the church is the family of God (2:10–14; 13:1). In a loving family, emotional ties are so strong that when another family member suffers, everyone suffers right with them (13:3). Similarly, Paul argues that because believers are united in Christ as one body through His Spirit, when anyone suffers, everyone is affected (1 Cor. 12:26). Yet the church’s uniquely powerful love should also be extended to “strangers” outside the church (Heb. 13:2), for each believer was loved by God while still an outsider (Rom. 5:8).

How does strengthening relationships within the church enable more effective outreach to those outside the faith? Monica Brands

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily November 29, 2017 Devotional: Don’t Buy A Lie

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily November 29, 2017 Devotional: Don't Buy A Lie

Topic: Don’t Buy A Lie [Wednesday November 29, 2017]

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God. – Deuteronomy 28:2

“Well, brother, in the end I’m sure you’ll see these financial problems are actually a blessing in disguise.” Have you ever heard anybody say that to someone who’s hurting financially? Chances are, you have. It’s a popular idea. The problem is, it’s a lie used by the devil to keep believers down.

As a result, many believers today are suffering one financial defeat after another. So let’s go to the Word of God today and get the issue of prosperity and poverty straight. Let’s find out, once and for all, which is the blessing, which the curse.

You can find the answer to that question in Deuteronomy 28. What God describes in verses 1 through 14 is the blessing—prosperity. In verses 15 through 31, God describes poverty—and He has called it a curse.

The curse is meant to destroy. Not to teach people a lesson. Not to make them more spiritual. But to destroy them.

Regardless of how intense the lack is, the nature of poverty remains the same. It is, and will always be, a curse.

Satan has gone to great lengths to convince God’s people that poverty is a blessing in disguise. But poverty is something the devil contrived!

Don’t buy into his lies. Get your thinking in line with the Word of God. If you’re a born-again child of God, you no longer have to live under the curse of poverty or any other curse for that matter. You’ve been redeemed!
