Scientists: Existence of the Universe Defies Physics

According to the laws of physics, the universe should have annihilated itself as soon as it came into existence.

Evolutionary scientists who adhere to the Big Bang theory argue that only energy existed in the beginning, then, as the universe expanded, some of the energy transformed into matter. When energy converts to matter, the reaction always creates an equal amount of antimatter, particles with a charge opposite their counterpart. So, for example, a proton of matter has a positive charge and a proton of antimatter, an antiproton, has a negative charge. But, since opposites attract, if equal amounts of matter and antimatter existed in the very beginning, they would have obliterated each other.

Earlier this year, scientists for the first time developed a way to measure antimatter, a discovery they hoped would enable future researchers to solve the mystery of how the universe survived.

Experts think some difference, some asymmetry, between matter and antimatter must exist that protected the two from a fatal attraction in the beginning. They have checked out numerous possibilities so far, including shape and mass, but found no differences. In the latest study, researchers at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (Conseil Européen pour la Recherche Nucléaire, or CERN) in Switzerland investigated magnetism and, once again, came up empty-handed.

“All of our observations find a complete…

Senate Confirms Christian Circuit Court of Appeals Judge

Senate Confirms Christian Circuit Court of Appeals Judge

The Senate on Oct. 31 confirmed Amy Coney Barrett, a devout Catholic, to the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals after several lawmakers took her to task for her faith.

Earlier this year, Sen. Diane Feinstein, D-Calif., argued Barrett’s beliefs could disqualify her from the federal court. She said Barrett’s faith featured too prominently in her life. “When you read your speeches, the conclusion one draws is that the dogma lives loudly within you, and that’s of concern,” Feinstein told Barrett during her confirmation hearing.

Christian groups used the accusation as a rallying cry and claimed Feinstein and other Democrats wanted to establish a religious litmus test for judicial nominees. In the end, Senators voted 55-43 to confirm Barrett, with three Democrats—Joe Donnelly of Indiana, Joe Manchin of West Virginia, and Tim Kaine of Virginia—crossing party lines to support her.

Barrett’s supporters called her confirmation a major victory for religious liberty.

“Catholics were alarmed by the anti-Catholic bigotry on display from Democrats during her hearings, but her confirmation is a testament to the enduring constitutional principle that there can be no religious test for office,” said Ashley McGuire, senior fellow with The Catholic Association.

On Monday, a handful of Republican senators defended Barrett and the constitutional right to the free exercise of religion. Ahead of…

California: Pro-life Centers Not Required to Promote Abortion, Court Rules

California: Pro-life Centers Not Required to Promote Abortion, Court Rules

Pro-life centers in California recently won a victory in court and will not be required to promote abortion within their clinics.

Currently, all pro-life pregnancy centers in the state are required to notify their clients that the state of California provides free or low-cost contraceptives and abortion under California law AB775.

The exact wording of the law states, “California has public programs that provide immediate free or low-cost access to comprehensive family planning services (including all FDA-approved methods of contraception), prenatal care and abortion for eligible women …”

Pro-life advocates believe this law requiring the pro-life centers to post this notice in a place of prominence in their clinics is a violation of their freedom.

They took their case to court in The Scharpen Foundation vs. Kamala Harris, and won.

Riverside County Superior Court ruled that this law infringes upon the free speech rights of the pro-life centers and enforcement of the law is to be permanently halted.

“To force pro-life crisis pregnancy centers to promote abortion is abhorrent,” said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel, which was representing the pro-life centers. “This kind of government coercive speech is exactly what the First Amendment was designed to guard against. To force a pro-life speaker to encourage death to innocent children is…

For the First Time Christian Evangelicals Met with Egypt’s President

For the First Time Christian Evangelicals Met with Egypt’s President

In an historic event, evangelical Christians met with Egypt’s president Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. It has been noted that his meeting could mark a significant step forward in evangelical relations with the Arab world’s largest country.

The meeting is also especially important in light of increased attacks on Egypt’s Christian minority.

According to CBN News, both sides seemed to feel that the meeting went extremely well.

“Rarely have I been in a meeting that was scheduled for an hour that went for three hours and the conversation was clear, so authentic,” stated Johnnie Moore, an author and leading Christian expert on the Middle East. “There was no hedging. It was like we were best friends for our entire life. It was historic yesterday.”

Author and Middle East expert Joel Rosenberg, who hosted the meeting, agreed, stating, “I believe it is setting into motion an historic relationship between an Arab Muslim leader and the evangelical Christian movement. I have to tell you, I’m a fiction writer and if President Abdel el-Sisi didn’t exist you’d have to make him up. I mean [he is] what are we looking for in an ally with the United States: people who want, people who are telling us I want a strong, strategic alliance with America. I’m fighting the same people you’re fighting.”

Both the evangelical leaders and el-Sisi affirmed their commitment to fighting ISIS and…
