An International Prayer Day for North Korea was recently held in Westminster in the UK where Christians joined together to pray for those who are suffering persecution under the regime of Kim Jong-un.

According to ChristianToday.com, speakers at the prayer event urged Christians to take action to help persecuted North Korean believers.

Zoe Smith of the persecution charity Open Doors–which has ranked North Korea as the worst country for Christian persecution for the fifteenth year in a row, said that prayer was a powerful weapon to bring an end to the oppressive North Korean regime.

Human rights expert Benedict Rogers said that, despite the oppression in North Korea, opportunities for change are on the horizon. “Prison camps, arbitrary executions and torture persist,” he said. “However, new opportunities for influence arise. The economy is now less easily controlled than it was in its old communist form: this means that information which previously was blocked by the regime is increasingly entering the country by the back door.”

Jerry Falwell Jr., the chancellor of Liberty University and well-known Trump supporter, has said that evangelicals should push back against so-called “fake Republicans.”

According to ChristianToday.com, Falwell made the comments in an interview with Breitbart, the right-wing news website headed once again by Steve Bannon, after Bannon left his short-lived position as President Trump’s adviser.

“I’ve coined the term ‘Fake Republicans,’” Falwell said in the interview. “There are four or five ‘Fake Republicans’ in the Senate and many in the House. If they can be replaced in 2018 – the political class needs to go. If the people can go out and find candidates like Donald Trump who have been successful in the private sector and go out and primary those people…”

Although he has received criticism for his support of Trump, Falwell continues to back the President without reservations. “They’ve got to go,” he said, referring to the “fake Republicans.” “And I think if they go, Trump is going to be the greatest president since Abraham Lincoln,” he continued.

A former abortion clinic, once called the “Little Shop of Horrors,” will now house a pro-life pregnancy center.

The Maryland building had been used as a secret abortion clinic. A 2010 raid found the remains of 35 frozen late-term aborted babies, including one that had been at 33 weeks gestation.

Tenant Steven Brigham and his business partner, Nicola Riley, faced a combined six charges of first-degree murder, six second-degree murder charges and one count of conspiracy to commit murder.

Brigham was not licensed to carry out abortions in the state.

The facility was discovered after one of their patients had to be hospitalized after a botched abortion in 2010.

The Cecil County Pregnancy Center is now housed in the building.

“It feels like a fresh breath of healing and encouragement is blowing through Cecil County with us being able to take over that space,” Dan Mohler, who serves as the center’s executive director, said. “In the very room where he was doing his abortions, we’re putting our ultrasound, and we’re going to be saving lives. I like the transforming beauty of that.”
