Seeds of Destiny 31 August 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche: The Foundational Secrets for Godly Wealth

Topic: The Foundational Secrets for Godly Wealth [Thursday August 31, 2017]

Scripture: And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south. And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold. Genesis 13:1-2

Thought For The Day: Until you step out of sin, you cannot step up with God.

It has been established that no one knows how to make a person prosper like God. Everyone who walked with God genuinely in the scriptures prospered abundantly. For instance, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, job, David, Solomon, Daniel and Esther prospered abundantly.

Now, what were their secrets and are the foundational secrets for Godly wealth?

1. Relationship with God. Godly wealth is built on relationship with God. The quality of your relationship with God determines the quantity of your results on earth; it determines the quantity of your resources (3 John 2).

Abraham heard and obeyed God’s instructions and wealth answered to him. Everything answers to the person who answers to God.

2. Separation from iniquity and compromise. God told Abraham to go out of his father’s house (An idolatrous background)’ before He could turn Abraham into who He wanted him to be. God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo said, “Until you step out, you cannot step up”. So, until you step out of sin, you cannot step up with God. It is possible for a sinner to be rich but the riches have no future.

3. Obedience to Divine instructions. God said to Abraham, ‘Come out of your father’s house to a land that I will show you (Genesis 12:1-3);’ and Abraham departed immediately without consultation with anyone. Until Abraham obeyed, God did not bless him. So, obedience is the secret of abundance in God.

Remember this: until you step out of sin, you cannot step up with God.

Assignment (s):

1. Maintain an intimate relationship with God.

2. Refuse to live a life of sin.

3. Obey every Divine instruction even when you do not understand it.

CGMI Above Only 31 August 2017, Devotional by Rev. M.E. Benson-Idahosa – Understanding the Love and Kindness of God the Father

Topic: Understanding the Love and Kindness of God the Father — Thursday August 31, 2017.

Text: Psalm 130:3-4 (NLT), Romans 2:4 (NLT), Jeremiah 31:3 (NIV)
Lord, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you. *Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin? *The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with loving-kindness.”

God uses His unrelenting love and kindness to draw us to Himself. He wants our understanding of His great and unimaginable love for us to motivate us to love Him, serve Him and do every single thing that we do. God did not send Jesus into the world to condemn the world but to save the world with His love, John 3:17. He doesn’t treat us as our sins deserve, Psalm 103:10. He treats us based on what Christ has done for us. It is actually our understanding of the grace of God that teaches us to say yes to God and to say no to ungodliness, Titus 2:11-12 (NIV).

To the terribly ashamed and guilt ridden woman caught in adultery in John 8:10-11 (NLT), Jesus said “where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.” If you were God, what would you have done to Saul of Tarsus on his way to Damascus to trouble and persecute the church, Acts 9:1-6? Do you remember how Zacchaeus was broken and reacted on his own when Jesus sighted him on the tree and chose to go to his house and dine with him, Luke 10:1-10? Do you remember how Peter felt when Jesus helped him catch an innumerable number of fish in Luke 5:4-10? Without prompting, Peter fell down on His knees and was so broken before Jesus. Why? Because it is the goodness of God that leads to repentance. As you grow in your understanding of God’s love and kindness towards you in Christ, it will break you and draw you closer to God. Today, God will manifest His love and kindness to you.

Prayer Focus: Think about God’s great love and kindness towards you in Christ and love, worship and thank Him right now.

DCLM Daily Manna 31 August, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Serve God Truly

Topic: Serve God Truly — Thursday August 31, 2017.

Text: 2 Kings 10:18-30

Key Verse: “And the LORD said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel” (2 Kings 10:30).

One of the greatest problems with many countries today is bad leadership. The tragedy of it all is that all the shortcomings of the past governments for which they were either toppled as in a military coup or voted out through the ballot box, are hardly corrected; they get worsened by succeeding administrations. This terrible scenario is also found in Christendom nowadays.

Jehu fulfilled the prophecy of Elijah but the fact that he deliberately did not do away with idol worship in the land was an indication that he was pursuing a personal agenda to secure his reign. He did not continue with total obedience to the law of God. He continued in the sins of Jeroboam in that he left the golden calves at Bethel and Dan, This kept Israel divided because the twelve tribes were now thinking in terms of two nations, not one. For this, God allowed the nations around them to subject them to their control. Ordinarily, it would be said that a man who carried out such a cleansing exercise as soon as he came to power would be true to his mission of returning Israel to the worship of the true God; but no, he began to elevate the worship of other graven images.

Finally, he died in the sin as a king that continued with the sin of Jeroboam. This passage aptly rendered baseless, the doctrine of eternal security, that once someone is saved, such remains saved eternally. There had been unfortunate cases where those who had stood against stealing, fornication, adultery and all forms of sins in the past suddenly became perpetrators of such sins. Most times, there is no second chance as the devil makes sure that such individuals never return to their righteous status. Saints, let us take heed and “hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end”.

Thought for the day: The zeal of yesterday is never sufficient for today’s service. Get recharged!

TREM’s Daily 31 August 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - What You Hear Determines Where You Go

Topic: What You Hear Determines Where You Go — Thursday August 31, 2017.

“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.” Mark 5: 27 (KJV)

On Jesus’ way to Jairus’s house to heal his daughter, there was a delay caused by a woman who had a blood issue for twelve years. And the Bible was careful to tell us that she suffered many things from many physicians. This woman was a very rich woman and she had the best of medical attention but every medical attention given to her escalated the situation. Her situation got worse and she was left for dead. Everyone had given up hope on her.

But the Bible says in Mark 5: 27 that: “When she heard of Jesus…” I want you to understand that what you hear determines where you go. That is why you don’t open your ear as a garbage ground for everything. The world is filled with bad news and like it or not, bad news spread like wildfire. In fact, journalists will tell you that bad news sells more than good news. At times journalists magnify or amplify bad news so that everyone will desire to read it. So the newspapers, the television channels, the billboards and virtually everything you see is telling you how it cannot happen or how things have gone haywire.

The question now is how are we going to survive or make it in these challenging times? The answer is that you must watch what you hear because faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Fear also comes when you listen to what the devil is saying or what the world is saying. The believer does not walk by sight but by faith. If there is anytime we should walk by what God is saying, it is now. If you didn’t see it in the word of God, throw it into the garbage can. We are new creations! Old things have passed away and all things have become new. Though we are in the world, we are not of the world. We are from heaven! We are not governed by the economy of this world. Learn to sit at the feet of the Master and receive words from His mouth that will build your faith and there is nothing that you desire to do that will elude you.

He Always Provides An Escape Route. Pt Four

He Always Provides An Escape Route. Pt Four

A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: He Always Provides An Escape Route. Pt Four [30/08/2017]

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24. Read: Isa 53:1-7

Do you know that when you are afflicted, God Himself gets afflicted too? How can it be, you ask? Hear what the Bible says in Isaiah 63:9, “In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old”. So, that sickness in your body doesn’t give God joy or glorify Him in anyway but cause Him sorrow. God has healed before, He still heals and forever He will continue to heal. Whatever sickness is in your body shall not escape the healing power of God today in Jesus Mighty Name. The provision of your healing has been made available in Christ Jesus. Because Jesus was never sick, from today onwards, that sickness in your body is terminated in Jesus Mighty Name.

The Bible says, ‘by whose stripes ye were healed’. From today, sickness shall no longer have dominion over your body in Jesus Mighty Name. When you are sick, you won’t be able to carry out God’s assignments which means you are affected to deliver as God wants you. Sickness is not of God but of the devil which was why Jesus was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him”. Acts 10:38.

#BiblePromisesPrayer

* Any kind of sickness in your body shall not live to see the light of the day anymore in Jesus Mighty Name. Receive your healing now.

Our Daily Manna August 30, 2017: ODM devotional – Desire to Be Faithful, Not to Be Famous -2

Our Daily Manna August 30, 2017: ODM devotional – Desire to Be Faithful, Not to Be Famous -2

Never forget that champions pursue faithfulness and not fame!

Topic: Desire to Be Faithful, Not to Be Famous -2 [Wednesday 30 August, 2017]

Welcome! Donna Reed once counseled his group of students: “When you handle yourself, use your head, when you handle others, use your heart.” A mafia godfather accompanied by his lawyer walked into a room to meet with his former accountant. The godfather asked the accountant: “Where is the 3 million bucks you embezzled from me?” The accountant refused to answer! The god father asked again: “where is the 3 million bucks you embezzled from me?” The lawyer interrupted: Sir, the man is a deaf mute and cannot understand you, but I can interpret for you.” The godfather said, “Well, ask him where my damn money is!” The lawyer using sign language, asked the accountant where the three million dollars was. The accountant signaled back: “I don’t know what you are talking about.”

The lawyer interpreted to the godfather: “He doesn’t know what you are talking about.” The godfather pulled out a 9 millimeter pistol, put it to the temple (brain) of the accountant, cocked the trigger and said, “Ask him again where my damn money is!” The lawyer again made signs to the accountant, “He wants to know where it is.” The accountant signaled back, “OK! OK! OK! The money is hidden in a brown suitcase behind the shed in my backyard.” The godfather said, “Well, what did he say?” The lawyer interpreted to the godfather: “He says, Go to hell’, “and that you don’t have the guts to pull the trigger.”

Of course you don’t have to be told what the godfather did thereafter, but the emphasis of this story the motive of the lawyer! He wanted to gain from two men at the same time! He wanted the accountant dead and of course legally, the godfather did not know where the money was, except the lawyer! When men’s lawyers begin to become liars, then there is a scarcity of a faithful men on earth! As faithful and trusted men are getting fewer, then you must ask God to make you different! Never forget that champions pursue faithfulness and not fame!

The only prayer God has refused to answer for me is: “LORD, use me mightily fro Your work but don’t allow me to become famous!” Elisha was faithful to Elijah even when the going was rough and he got a double power portion! Did Elisha not become famous later? Be loyal to your family, friends and be true to humanity, even if it hurts! Never forget what Donna Reeds said: “when you handle yourself, use your head; when you handle others, use your heart.” Wherever you are, be true! Be faithful! God is your Paymaster!

Prayer Points: Take any song of worship as led.

1. Thank God for the Word! Receive grace to be faithful! Pray yesterday’s prayer points!

2. Lord, expose, expire and dry up the wicked plans of unfaithful men around my life and ministry (pray it very well). Pray generally on any issue(s) affecting your peace.

3. Use the morning, afternoon and evening devotional prayers! See pages 7-9 now. Use the “FAITH BOOSTERS” today! See page 34 now.

Joyce Meyer’s Daily 30 August 2017 Devotional: Don’t Waste Time

Joyce Meyer's Daily 30 August 2017 Devotional: Don’t Waste Time

Topic: Don’t Waste Time [Thursday August 30, 2017]

Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people), making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity]… – Ephesians 5:15-16

We need to be so self-controlled that we don’t waste time. That doesn’t mean that we can never do anything fun. It doesn’t mean we can’t do things that we enjoy.

We don’t need to be rigid, stiff, or boring. But we do need to use our time wisely, choosing to give the best part of our day to spend time with God.

The Word encourages us to be prepared, saying, Hear counsel, receive instruction, and accept correction, that you may be wise in the time to come (Proverbs 19:20). Starting your day with God’s instruction will keep you walking in wisdom, making the most of your time.

Winning Wisdom: One Whole Lump: Marriage 3

Topic: One Whole Lump: Marriage 3 [Wednesday, 30th August 2017]

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it. Ephesians 5:25

Two people; different purposes, visions, and missions, lumped into one. Different taste, background, perspective, culture, lumped into one. Sometimes, different values, principles (we will talk about this more tomorrow) but still lumped into one, to fulfil the eternal purpose or cause that their King, the King of kings, have set out for them. While we appreciate the whole, we must also appreciate the ‘two wholes’ that make up the one whole lump. Yes, we must appreciate the individuals that are coming together, we must know and respect that it is probably two different worlds coming together. The earlier both the man and wife understands this, even before the nuptial ceremony, the better it would be for the whole lump.

These are the words of Apostles Peter in 1 Peter 3:7: “likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” This scripture shows us that indeed it is two different worlds that are coming together, and, on an individual basis, they ought to know themselves. The word knowledge in the above scripture is translated gnosis in Greek, and it means intelligence and understanding. Although, it talks to the male, that doesn’t mean it can’t also minister to the female. They must dwell together with deep intelligence and understanding of the varied layers of themselves before and during the coming together to form the whole.

You don’t only need to understand yourselves, you need to appreciate your differences. You won’t always think alike on some issues. You won’t always be in agreement, you won’t always operate on the same wavelength, with the same speed. This is where you will, sometimes, need to sheathe your opinion and views, no matter how well-intentioned. This is where you need to have an open mind, and be objective when a critical decision, that affects the union and it’s direction, needs to be made. This is where individuality is put aside also, and God’s counsel sought, for it is He Who knows the direction to lead the union to. But first, you must understand and appreciate your differences. It is key to a lasting union.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, help every intending and already married couple, by Your Spirit, to understand and appreciate their differences. To always put their marriage and family first, and above themselves individually. That wisdom will teach them to seek Your counsel always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
