Topic: Breathe Life into Your Dreams [Wednesday April 5, 2017]

For a dream comes with much business and painful effort . . . – Ecclesiastes 5:3

I’m sure this is why many people give up on their dreams somewhere along the way. When they find out it will take effort, be costly and uncomfortable to complete their preparation for the birth of that dream, they conclude it wasn’t really God’s will after all and go and do something else.

I want to encourage you to go press through the hard part because if you give up, you will never be completely satisfied. Faith becomes stronger as we are required to use it. So how do we successfully make it through preparation and give birth to our God-given dreams?

Here are three keys to help you get there:

1. Be Confident that God is working

Whatever dream God has put in your heart, stand in faith, believing He can bring it to pass. Each day, as you pursue the promise He has given you, make it a habit to say, “God’s working!” You may not know all the details of how it is going to work out, but that’s okay. God knows the beginning to the end (see Isaiah 46:10).

2. Refuse to Give Up

It’s easy to start a process—or to have a dream—but it is much more difficult to see it through. That’s why so many people’s life lives fall short of God’s best. They start to obey God, or they start to move in the direction of their dream, but when times get tough, or they become weary of waiting, they turn around and run in the other direction.

3. Realize Your Dream Is about More Than You

Many times, people dream of things only for them—what they want out of life, or what’s best for only them. But Jesus, our example of how to live, gave His life for the benefit of others.

MESSAGE:

As children of God living in times of advanced technological developments, one truth we must never lose consciousness of is that God is still in the business of healing people. Some may want to ask why God still cares about healing people, since He has endowed humanity with laudable insights into the causes and cures of various sicknesses and diseases. The answer is not far-fetched: there are sicknesses that are not of physical origin; rather, they are demonically inflicted. Orthodox medicine is incapable of healing such sicknesses. Although orthodox medicine will always have a name of every sickness or disease it is confronted with, the truth of the matter is, some of these afflictions have their operations being supervised from the pit of Hell. Today’s Bible text tells the story of a woman who was bound by the spirit of infirmity for eighteen years, Jesus Christ ministered deliverance to her, and He set her loose from that bondage of sickness. We might not have known the source of her infirmity, but for the opposition voiced against her being healed on the Sabbath day. Jesus, in His response to the objections raised, revealed the source of this woman’s infirmity to be Satan. In Luke 13:16 He said:

“And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?”

Nevertheless, the good news is: irrespective of whether a sickness stems from demonic or physical sources, the Almighty God is still interested in healing His people of all ailments afflicting them, especially those who believe in what He is capable of doing. In Jeremiah 32:27, the Lord Himself challenges us with this question:

“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?”

By this, He is telling us that since He created the human body, He cannot be incapable of fixing any problem that may arise within it. Automobile manufacturers cannot be incapable of fixing problems emanating from their inventions. In the worst case scenario, they will replace a problematic part of an automobile, and the whole system will bounce back to life. Even if automobile manufacturers cannot fix the problems of their inventions, the Almighty God can fix His. There is no sickness too small to attract God’s attention; neither is there any sickness too big to intimidate Him. The onus is on you to develop the living faith that will attract His healing hands to perform the needed miracle on you. My prayer for you is that your body will receive divine healing today in Jesus’ Name.

Prayer Point: Father, please lay Your healing hands on me and heal all my infirmities.

According to scriptures, the destiny of the redeemed is like a book made up of chapters, which opens up one chapter after another by applied revelation. As it is written: But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18; see also Proverbs 4:18).

We also discover from scriptures that every encounter with the Word is an encounter with destiny. God’s agenda is according to God’s capacity and God has no match among men. No one has the capacity to deliver a divine plan except God. Therefore, the chapters in the race of our destiny are only accessible by encounters with the Word.

We understand from the Word that every child of God has a glorious destiny in Christ because redemption is a call to glory and virtue. Therefore, we are not permitted to be victims of shame and reproach. Jesus was reproached for our sakes, consequently, we don’t have to bear reproach anymore (Romans 8:29-30; 2 Peter 1:3).

We also have an enviable destiny in redemption. Concerning Isaac, the Bible records: And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possessions of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him (Genesis 26:13-14).

The Bible further says: Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise (Galatians 4:28).

Thus, just like Isaac, we are ordained to be envied and not to be pitied.

Furthermore, we understand that every child of God carries greater potentials than all the Old Testament saints. Jesus said concerning John: Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he (Matthew 11:11).

That means, every child of God carries greater potentials in Christ than all the Old Testament giants such as Abraham, Moses, Nehemiah, Daniel, Joseph, Solomon, etc. In fact, Jesus said: “The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here” (Matthew 12:42).

Inside every believer is a greater than Solomon potential. That is a pointer to the amazing potentials that redemption has deposited into our lives. All we need is insight to know our worth in redemption and take responsibility to see these potentials translate to realities in our lives.

Moreover, every child of God is ordained as a pacesetter and a trail blazer. This means we are ordained as record breakers and new record setters. According to scriptures, we are the salt of the earth, the light of the world and cities set on hills that cannot be hidden.  Salt is said to be a major base of all pharmaceutical products and salt deficiency affects the body’s health dangerously. Thus, we are preservatives of the dying world; so, the world will always need us. That means, we are not burdens but blessings to our generation. All we need is to keep loving God and we won’t stop being wonders to our world. The Bible says: …Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him (1 Corinthians 2:9; see also Matthew 5:13-14).

We are also ordained kings and priests to reign on the earth. . “…And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth” (Revelation 5:9-10).

That means, we belong to a royal family and we are not permitted to be peasants on the earth.

But to have Encounter with Destiny, One must:

❖ Be Spiritual: It takes a spiritual mind to move from one level of glory to another. In other words, we must be spiritual to have an encounter with destiny or we will be stagnated in life. It is impossible to access God’s plan with carnality because His plans are spiritual and only the spiritually minded can access them (Romans 8:6; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Isaiah 55:8).

❖ Be Prayerful: More often than not, encounters with destiny emanates from the prayer altar. That means, the altar of prayer is the altar of new chapters to God’s people. Thus, the more prayerful we are, the greater our access to the things of the Spirit of God (Genesis 32:24-28; Jeremiah 33:3; 1 Corinthians 4:9-10).

❖ Be Spiritually Sensitive: Every word from above opens a new chapter to a man’s life. This is why it is important to be spiritually sensitive so that we can hear from heaven from time to time, as God can speak to us at anytime and anywhere (Galatians 5:25; Revelation 1:10).

❖ Be God loving and Kingdom Advancement Passionate: Every lover of God changes levels without sweat. It is impossible to seek first God’s Kingdom and not end up as a first class citizen of the earth. Every time we carry the affairs of the Kingdom in our hearts, we keep doing well in life and everything that others are ‘dying’ to get will be added to us in the process. Moreover, when it is in our hearts to keep promoting God’s Kingdom, He will keep changing our story (1 Kings 8:17-18; 1 Chronicles 29:3-6; Matthew 6:33; Romans 8:28; Philippians 1:21).

However, to see destiny fulfilled, one must remain steadfast in the faith because no ‘off and on’ believer has a future. We must, therefore, keep obeying God, as consistency is the rule of the game and every new chapter in our lives must meet us on duty (Matthew 24:13, 45-46; Romans 4:17-21; Hebrews 6:12, 10:38).

On the other hand, it is important to understand that we also require divine wisdom to encounter destiny. We understand from scriptures that divine wisdom, which is from above, is superior to all other kinds of wisdom. As it is written: “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy@ (James 3:17; see also Proverbs 3:17).

Let’s recognise that divine wisdom engenders mighty works, which makes men exclaim. For instance, concerning Daniel, the Bible says: “There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers” (Daniel 5:11; see also Mark 6:2; Matthew 13:54).

By reason of divine wisdom at work in Daniel, King Nebuchadnezzar made him the master over the magicians and all others, because he excelled far above them. Also, the four Hebrew boys were said to be ten times better than their colleagues.  The Bible records: “In all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realm” (Daniel 1:20).

Furthermore, Solomon was said to be wiser than all men, including the ‘biggest brains’ of his days. As it is written: “…there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom” (1 Kings 4:34).

The above biblical examples unveil men who engaged divine wisdom towards every situation that confronted them and in return, they encountered destiny. Thus, divine wisdom, which is superior to all other kinds of wisdom, has the capacity to make us stars on the earth, if only we commit to meeting the demands of operating therein.

But, what does access to the wisdom from above demand?

❖ Tireless commitment to the study of the Word: God’s Word is the conveyor of the wisdom of God; it is God’s wisdom in print. Jesus referred to the Word as the wisdom of God. As it is written: “Therefore also said the wisdom of God, I will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute” (Luke 11:49).

When we hold the content of the Bible dear to our hearts, we will be as smart as the angels of God. Hence, our commitment to the study of the Word empowers us to operate in the realm of divine wisdom (2 Peter 3:15, 16; 2 Timothy 4:13).

❖ Joy and Rejoicing: It takes joy and rejoicing to access God’s presence. That’s why the devil continues to depress believers in order to block our access to the wisdom of God which will pave the way out of any predicament. The Bible says: “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore” (Psalms 16:11; see also Psalms 100:4; Philippians 4:4).

Joseph was among the most excited slaves in captivity. In fact, Potiphar’s wife preferred him to her depressed husband. Also, while in prison, he was the joy of the prisoners; he cheered up other inmates, even as a prisoner sentenced unjustly. Joseph was never depressed and as a result, he had unusual access to the wisdom from above (Genesis 39:7-8, 40:6 & 8).

Those who are always joyful are not without challenges; they are only smarter than their challenges. The devil will rob us of the best in life if he can succeed in keeping us depressed. The fact is, we cannot be oppressed until we are depressed; because depression is the bait that facilitates oppression. It is, therefore, important to remain joyful so as to maintain our access to divine wisdom (Isaiah 12:3; 2 Corinthians 12:7; 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18).

❖ Impartation of the Spirit of wisdom: Joshua was filled with the Spirit of wisdom because Moses laid his hand on him.  However, impartation does not only come by laying on of hands, it also comes through prophetic declarations (Deuteronomy 34:9; Ezekiel 2:2; 1 Timothy 4:14).

But, to keep the flow of divine wisdom, one must continue to acknowledge God as the source. Every time we don’t give glory to God for His great acts in our lives, He turns the blessings into a curse. This is why we must keep acknowledging God as the source of the wisdom and understanding that is at work in our lives in order to sustain the flow. When we stop acknowledging God as the source, the fountain dries up. Thus, God must be given all the glory for every winning insight that comes our way. God will always resist the proud and give more grace to the humble. Our pride should therefore be in God, Who did it and not in our skill or strength (Jeremiah 9:23-24; Malachi 2:2-3; James 9:23-24).

In conclusion, the Bible which is the Word of God, is God’s wisdom bank and remember, every encounter with the Word is an encounter with destiny. Thus, it is impossible to flow in divine wisdom and encounter new chapters in destiny without a genuine commitment to the words of Scripture. Therefore, as we commit to the study of God’s Word and apply ourselves to our findings, I pray that we will begin to walk in divine wisdom, culminating in encounters with destiny in Jesus’ name! You shall have no other gods before me. . . . You shall not bow down to them or worship them. Exodus 20:3, 5

As he awaited his baptism in Togo’s Mono River, Kossi stooped to pick up a worn wooden carving. His family had worshiped the object for generations. Now they watched as he tossed the grotesque figure into a fire prepared for the occasion. No longer would their choicest chickens be sacrificed to this god.

In the West, most Christians think of idols as metaphors for what they put in place of God. In Togo, West Africa, idols represent literal gods that must be appeased with sacrifice. Idol burning and baptism make a courageous statement about a new believer’s allegiance to the one true God.

As an eight-year-old, King Josiah came to power in an idol-worshiping, sex-obsessed culture. His father and grandfather had been two of the worst kings in all of Judah’s sordid history. Then the high priest discovered the book of the law. When the young king heard its words, he took them to heart (2 Kings 22:8–13). Josiah destroyed the pagan altars, burned the vile items dedicated to the goddess Asherah, and stopped the ritual prostitution (ch. 23). In place of these practices, he celebrated the Passover (23:21–23).

Whenever we look for answers apart from God—consciously or subconsciously—we pursue a false god. It would be wise to ask ourselves: What idols, literal or figurative, do we need to throw on the fire?

Prayer: Lord, forgive us for those things we turn to that show our hearts are not focused on You. Show us what we need to give up, and replace it with the presence of Your Holy Spirit.

Dear children, keep yourselves from idols. 1 John 5:21

Insight: Ask God to help you see false trusts that are robbing you of the joy of living in the presence and joy of the One whose mercy and love are more real and sure than the air we breathe.

Topic: Dealing With Negative Tendencies/Habits [Wednesday April 5, 2017]

Scripture: And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. Genesis 32:26-28

Thought For The Day: Nothing changes by chance, things change by choice; where there is no choice, there is no chance.

From our anchor scripture, we see that Jacob was a man who was plagued by negative tendencies that followed him for a long time.

He struggled with his brother, Esau from the womb of his mother in the process of delivery; he struggled to exchange his birth right with his brother’s; he lied to get the blessing of his father by pretending to be his brother, Esau; in Laban’s house, he laboured for fourteen years to get married to the woman he loved.

But when Jacob discovered these negative tendencies in his life, he decided to deal with them and they were broken.

Beloved, negative tendencies and habits are breakable – be it masturbation, homosexuality, fornication, adultery, cultism, robbery/stealing, cheating, etc.

What are some of the steps to dealing with negative tendencies or habits?

1. You must identify the tendency/habit that you are battling with. What has not been identified cannot be rectified.

2. Decide to confront the tendency/habit. Nothing changes by chance, things change by choice; where there is no choice, there is no chance.

3. Confront it. What you do not confront, you cannot conquer.

4. Refuse to give up the fight.

5. Replace negative tendencies and habits with positive tendencies/habits.

Remember this: Nothing changes by chance, things change by choice; where there is no choice, there is no chance.

Assignments:

1. Identify any negative tendency/habit in your life and trust God to break them away from your life.

2. Avoid the wrong company.

Topic: God Is Mindful [Wednesday April 5, 2017]

Text: Psalm 115:12-18

Key Verse: “The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron” (Psalm 115:12).

John Claypool writes, “Do you remember Anthony DeMello’s anger as he looked one day at a starving child that was shivering in the cold and lifted his eye to heaven and said, God, how could you allow such suffering? Why don’t you do something? There was a long silence and then DeMello was startled when the voice of God said to him, “I have certainly done something-I made you!” In our text today, the Lord proved to the Israelites that He had not forgotten them.

He that delivered His people from great calamities and restored them to their native land after a long and painful experience in Babylon would not forsake them. Past experiences of God’s goodness to His children furnish believers with the fullest evidence that He will continue to bless His people. His words are yea and amen because He is ever mindful of His covenant. Sometimes, our situation may be so challenging that even some believers may begin to doubt the existence of their Creator.

When poverty threatens the family and it seems heaven is closed up, at that point, remember that He can never forget His own. “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee” (Isaiah 49:15). God’s love and goodness remain the same and His promises inviolable. The blessings of the Lord are not limited to the house of Israel or to the house of Aaron but for all that fear Him. To enjoy the blessings and promises of God, every wise man must have a definite, personal and abiding relationship with Him because He knows His own by name. And if you are one of His, then you can be sure He knows and cares for you.

Thought for the day: God’s promises are as sure as His Word is steadfast.

Topic: You Must Be Fruitful!

Dear Reader,

You are welcome to this glorious and exciting moment in God’s presence. As you pay fascinated attention to God’s Word concerning your marriage today, His hands shall rest upon it!  In the course of the month, I shall be considering the theme: You Must Be Fruitful.

I want you to know that God has designed your marriage for fruitfulness. Fruitfulness should be natural to man; but when you are resisted by hell, you need an understanding of God’s provision for your fruitfulness in marriage, to combat the enemy.

Today, I shall be examining fruitfulness as part of God’s plan for your marriage. The same breath that God used to call forth light and it came to be, also made man to be fruitful.  The Word of God says: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis 1:28). So, when He said to you, “Be fruitful,” you must be fruitful. This is a commandment from God; it is neither a suggestion nor admonition. He that said, “Let there be light” and it was so, is the same ONE that gave this commandment. In your body, He said, “Be fruitful.’” Never mind whatever contrary report you may be holding in your hands now. Just remember, everything God said when He was creating the world came to be. Therefore, it is impossible for what God has said concerning you and your home to fail. The counsel of the Lord stands for ever. The Word of God says: The counsel of the Lord standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations (Psalms 33:11).

Have you ever considered that if God wanted, He could have created more people to fill the whole earth, just the way He created Adam?  God is the all-powerful and the Omnipotent God:  He can do just anything, but He decided to give man the assignment of procreation. He is the all-wise God, so He knows what He is doing. If He didn’t put the power to conceive and bring forth in us, He won’t be asking you and I to do it.

Therefore, for every male and female creature of God, who has come together in holy wedlock, the injunction of their Creator is to ‘be fruitful.’ If there is anything short of this, it is not God. He can never change His Word.  The Word of God says: I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be forever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him (Ecclesiastes 3:14). So, since God has said to you, “Be fruitful,” blocked fallopian tubes, low sperm count, etc, cannot stop that word from coming to pass in your life.

Barrenness is not of God; therefore, it should not be seen as a lesson or punishment from God. God tempts no man with evil (James 1:13). If there is anything like that, it is of the devil. Remember, the devil is the thief, who has come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). If you are reading this article, as a married person expecting the fruit of the womb, know that God is very interested in your fruitfulness.  Peradventure, you have been married for some years and you are running out of patience with God; or you are being mocked by people, just rejoice and be glad. Why? The will of your heavenly Father states that you are fruitful. The Word of God also says: For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly (Psalms 84:11). God will not ask you to come back tomorrow for this good thing; He will give it to you right away!  It is in His power to give you and He will surely give it to you NOW! This is your hour!

God has made known His will to you; who can debar Him from fulfilling it? Who can turn His hand back? What kind of medical report can annul what the Almighty Himself says? Whose report will you then believe?  Relax! Stop panicking and running helter-skelter; and stop cursing and abusing your mockers. Stop spending your fortune looking for children not given by God. Stop frustrating your life; just be at peace with yourself and your God, and let His Word come to pass in your life. God’s Word says: Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward (Psalms 127:3).  As long as you are a child of God, you are entitled to the blessing of children. No matter what the doctors have diagnosed as being responsible, God is greater than man’s report.  Below is a testimony of a miracle baby, despite all odds.

“I got married in April 1998, and expected to have my baby immediately, but nothing happened.  I went to the hospital after I lost a pregnancy, and the doctor told me I had fibroid and that I needed to undergo an operation, before I could get pregnant. I didn’t believe the doctor’s report; so, I started praising God and forgot about it.

During the Victory Celebration of that year, the Bishop prophesied that we would get pregnant.  Before then, my menstrual period flowed heavily for 21 days. On the first day of the Victory Celebration, my period started, but the flow reduced gradually until it became normal.  In December, I discovered I was pregnant.  My baby was one month old on September 17, 1999!” – Adegbeli, F. I see God giving you your own testimony!

Giving your life to Jesus Christ is the gateway to fruitfulness, because children are the heritage of the Lord. Do you want to be born again so you can have all it takes to be fruitful? If you are ready to give your life to Christ, you can say this prayer of faith: “Dear Lord Jesus, I come to You today acknowledging that I am a sinner who needs Your forgiveness. I believe You died for me and rose again on the third day. Forgive me of my sins, wash me with Your Blood and write my name in the Lamb’s Book of life. Thank You Lord for saving me.”

If you prayed this simple prayer, you are now a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).

Topic: Create Value [Wednesday, 5th April 2017]

Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. – Acts 9:39

Scriptures say in Proverbs 10:7 “we have happy memories of the godly, but the name of a wicked person rots away.” People are remembered for the value they create in the lives of others. When I was in my early teenage age, I had a friend that I liked so much. We always hang out then and sing together. But one thing I will never forget about her was that she was the first person that encouraged me to be a writer. I used to write articles and give to her to read. Her words were always filled with appraisals of how good I was in writing. The value her words of created in my life is still being felt till date. Those are the kind of things God has created us to do.

Creating value not only goes a long way in blessing and enhancing lives, it also have its effect in your life in a positive way, even more than you could ever imagine. Dorcas, in Acts 9, would never have imagined that the value her good works created in the lives of people will spur them to  bring Peter to resurrect her when she first died. She would have been doing what she did with a loving heart, which is very essential, without expecting much from them, but at the end, the value she created with the coats and garments she made for the people within her sphere of influence, influenced them to send for Apostle Peter to come bring her back to life. And yes, he did just that for them, and I am certain she continued creating value.

Products and services in the business world can only survive if they continue to create affordable value for the people that use them. Affordable here is relative and since this is not a business school, I will skip that. But essentially, every product and services must create value for people if not they will go into extinction. We are called by God to create value. Our lives are fueled by the value we create. It is what keeps us going and spurs us to do more. Find your niche and space so you can create the value God has called you to create in the lives of people. Don’t settle for anything less than a life that is valuable to your sphere of contact.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You because You chose and ordained me to create value in my sphere of influence. By Your Spirit that is at work in and through me, I create the right value and enhance the lives of the people in my sphere of influence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Habits are like glue. When it gets stuck, it either becomes indelible or takes forever to remove. This is why it’s not advisable to allow a habit overwhelm you because it requires painstaking efforts to abandon. If you, however, continue with these habits, it will affect your health and general wellbeing over time. Sitting all day

Since jobs are now performed mostly with computers in the 21st century, it is very possible that you will sit in front of it for hours without taking breaks. This is not new. A large number of people are smoking today disregarding the instruction that smokers are liable to die young. The health hazards associated with all kinds of smoking are unlimited. Even electronic cigars have not be certified safe.

Eating junk food

The food eaten today are not a balanced diet, no thanks to tight schedules. Consequently, we turn to processed or packaged foods that unhealthy. Generally, eating junk food can hurt our health. Take time out to cook.

Not wearing sunscreen

Not wearing sunscreen whenever it is sunny raises your chances of having melanoma, an eye disease. It is easy to overlook this but the consequences are dire. Your eyes need protection from sun rays.

Downing too alcohol

Too much of everything is bad. Alcohol is the gold many cannot resist. At classy hotels and bars in Lagos, you find people downing alcohol like water. There is nothing wrong with taking alcohol for some people. It is advisable though you drink moderately if you cannot do without it.

Not getting enough sleep

Sleep can help boost creativity. But very few persons are getting enough sleep. They are too busy. And at other times when they have the opportunity to sleep, they are distracted by their smartphones. If you cannot sleep the recommended 7 or 8 hours, try to sleep soundly even if you are sleeping for several hours.
