David Abioye's Daily Devotional March 23, 2017 – The Ultimate Of Knowledge

Topic: The Ultimate Of Knowledge [Thursday March 23, 2017]

Action is the ultimate proof of knowledge.

Action is the platform for exhibiting knowledge.

Without action knowledge is impotent and wasted.

Action gives knowledge opportunity to demonstrate its potency.

All knowledge with no action will lead to frustration.

Many people know so much about life but are doing

nothing or little with their lives.

What you know or teach doesn’t add much to life like

what you do.

Do something now!

Do much with the little you know, and it will amaze you

how much more God will add to you.

Joyce Meyer's daily devotional March 23 2017 – Stay Balanced

Topic: Stay Balanced [Thursday March 23, 2017]

Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour. — 1 Peter 5:8

Listening to the Holy Spirit will keep us balanced in every area of our lives. The Spirit will tell us when we’re spending too much money or not spending enough, when we’re talking too much or not talking enough, or even when we’re resting too much or not resting enough. Any time we are doing too much or too little of something, we are out of balance.

The verse for today states that we are to be well-balanced so Satan cannot take advantage of us. For years, he took advantage of me because I was not balanced in my approach to work. I felt that my whole life should be arranged around work. As long as I was working and accomplishing something, I didn’t feel the guilt that the devil used against me. But that urge to work all the time was not from God; it did not push me toward godly balance in my life. Work is a good thing, but I also needed to rest and have enjoyment.

Each day as you seek to hear from God, ask Him to show you any area in your life that is out of balance and work with Him to make adjustments. We have many things in life to juggle and therefore it is easy to get out of balance, but God is always available to help us in this area. Simply ask Him if you are doing too much or too little of anything and make the changes He recommends.

Kenneth Hagin’s Unpublished 1963 Vision – Now Published

This vision was given to the late Kenneth E. Hagin in 1963. It was shared with me by a friend with inside connections to old archives of teachings and prophecies never before published or made public. I believe it is now the time to share such prophecies for the hour of the manifestation of these things is upon us.

Yea, the hand of the Lord was upon me … the Spirit of God moved upon me … the voice of God spoke unto me and said, “Come up, come up hither son of man.”

I went, as it were, up into the air and stood with Him, the Head of the church, even the Lord Jesus Christ…in the air. And as I looked down upon the ground I could see as a map laid out before me the entire nation—all the states of the continental United States. And as I looked He said, “Behold son, and I shall show you that which shall come to pass, and that which the eyes of many shall see. And they shall remember that their ears heard that it shall come to pass.”

For there came a dark hand up out of the ocean from the east, even from the Atlantic Ocean. It came up out of the sea as a hand and as it rose up into the air it became a dark cloud and it filled the whole atmosphere. Yea, and it swept in like a storm at sea. And I said, “Oh Lord! Oh Lord! Oh Lord! What’s the meaning of this?” And He spake unto me and said, “Son, that is the darkness of atheistic communism that is sweeping across the nation—even in the minds of men in high places and politicians with great power. And this nation shall not grow more strong and you shall not have more liberty than you have now, but liberties that you’ve known and you’ve seen shall be seized and taken from you.”

And I looked again, and I could see upon the mountain a blotch, as though a bottle of ink had been spilled and spread out over several states in the south and east. And then I looked and I could see spots splotched all over the map and I said, “Lord, what meaneth this?” And He said, “Communistic inspired hatred among races shall cause greater turmoil than your nation has seen heretofore. Yea, it is not the will of God but men’s hearts are perverse and they walk without the love of God and seek to have their own way. And so it shall be worse than you have seen.”

And I said, “Oh Lord! Oh Lord! Is there a remedy? Is there a remedy? What shall the answer be?”

And He said, “Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceived and being deceived.”

And then I said, “Oh, Lord! Do we have nothing to look forward to in the future except the darkness, the blackness, war, destruction and evil?”

And He said, “Son of man, forget not your text for you look at the things not seen (the title of his message was, Looking At Things Unseen).” And so then I looked into the spirit realm and I saw falling upon that mountain a ball of fire from heaven. The closer to the Earth, the bigger it got, and then when it came to the Earth it divided into small balls or sparks of fire, and it fell upon men. And I saw an army of men rise up, and it seemed as though their hands were fire. And there sat upon their heads a tongue of fire. (When I first saw it, it seemed like their whole heads were on fire but it was tongues of fire leaping.) And I said, “What meaneth this?”

And He said, “Before the worst shall come and the day of darkness encompasses there will be those who shall go and who shall carry the fullness of My truth and the fire, not only to the states of this nation but to many other places. For there is a work that must be done, first spiritually, before the Lord shall come.

“Now prepare ye your hearts, for the time is at hand and the beginning is now; and ye shall see and ye shall know for the hand of the Lord is upon you and many of you shall be used in these last days and the work shall progress.”

Hallelujah to Jesus! Hallelujah to Jesus!

And I said to Him, “Oh Lord! May I have a small place to work?” And He said, “I shall cause thy tent to be enlarged. Yea, thou shalt have an enlarged ministry and thou shalt minister to many where you ministered to a few. Therefore, go ye back to the Earth and be thou faithful and give forth that which I tell you to give for you have been reluctant in days gone by to tell it. Now tell it boldly and speak it true for now is the day that it shall be so.”

Oh hallelujah! Oh hallelujah! Praise God! Praise God! Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!

For the word of the Lord came unto me saying, “The prophetic vision shall be restored unto the church, for even in the days of old under the old covenant the prophet would see by vision and prophesy, and so the prophetic vision shall be restored unto the church. And this is the time, and this is the hour, and this is the place.” … read more

Open Heavens 23 March 2017: Thursday daily devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Fruitfulness: A Must!

Topic – Fruitfulness: A Must! [Thursday 23, March 2017]

Memorise: And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.Genesis 17:6

Read: Genesis 17:4-6 (KJV)

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.

6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

Bible in One Year: Exodus 24-25, Isaiah 66:15-24

MESSAGE:

The very first mandate of God to mankind is to be fruitful (Genesis 1:28). This tells you how important your fruitfulness is to God. I declare that this is your season of fruitfulness! Today, everything standing in your way to fruitfulness shall be uprooted and destroyed in Jesus’ Name. Speaking of fruitfulness, you can be fruitful in different areas of life. Do you know that it takes just an idea to become a billionaire? Yet there are people who receive idea after idea. Ideas just keep coming to them because they are fruitful. Every spiritual embargo hindering you from receiving workable, lucrative, life-changing ideas is destroyed today in Jesus’ Name! From now on, you are connected to God’s storehouse of ideas, and you will never run out of them!

The Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:8-17 had everything: a good name, financial resources, political connections and a supportive extended family, but she did not have her own child. Sometimes, life turns out this way. You may be okay in every area of life, except one. You may be making progress in every area except one. Do you know that God is interested even in that area where you are challenged? Yes, He is. If you are experiencing such, today, the Lord will make a way for you! It is your turn to be fruitful.

I was in Britain not too long ago, and among the testimonies I heard was one from a friend of mine, who is a professor. This testimony made me dance. His secretary had been trusting God for the fruit of the womb for some time, and so he called me, requesting to bring her to me for prayers. However, I was already on my way out at this time, and so I asked him to give her the phone. I prayed with her, and the Almighty God backed up the voice of His servant. By the time he called again, she had delivered triplet! Are you trusting God for a baby? The door is opened to you now. Receive your children in Jesus’ Name! Has your intellect been unfruitful? Have you been struggling with poor grades in your academic work? Receive a touch from God today. I command your intellect to be fruitful from today! Draw closer to God. Show Him how much you love Him. Worship Him, praise and thank Him. Give to Him and minister to His servants. Make Him happy by winning souls. The Lord will arise for you today.

Action Point: Make these declarations over your life: I receive the grace to be fruitful from now on, and every hindrance to my fruitfulness is destroyed today in Jesus’ Name!

5 Easy Ways to Prevent Stretch Marks during Pregnancy

When a woman is pregnant, a lot of changes happen to her body. One of such changes is the appearance of stretch marks. For some women, it is only when they are pregnant these marks appear while for others they don’t have to be pregnant. Although stretch marks are very easy to get, they are not difficult to get rid of. The only thing women fear is the stigma, especially from men. Some men say that they dislike stretch marks. Whatever the case may be, Jumia Travel, the leading online travel agency, shares 5 ways to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy.

Keep your body hydrated

Your body needs to be hydrated for maximum skin elasticity. Skin elasticity is the skin’s ability to stretch and then go back to normal. So, drinking between 8 and 12 cups of water daily can help skin elasticity and thus prevent these stretch marks. Generally, it is not good for pregnant women to be dehydrated.

Use moisturizers and creams

Creams and moisturizers can be used to keep the skin moist and damp. It is advisable to use creams that contain Vitamin E or Vitamin A. This types of cream cannot cause any damage to the skin and can also prevent these marks. You should use it preferably after having your bath. Important, avoid using harsh chemicals on your skin.

Don’t eat for two

Yes, you are carrying an extra life in your belly and the temptation or craving will be there to eat for two. You don’t need to eat for two no matter how hungry you are. You should eat enough that will satisfy you. The only thing you need to do is to eat a balanced diet. Eating for two or eating too much during pregnancy can cause stretch marks.

Exercise during pregnant

Not all pregnant women will be disposed to exercise during pregnant. But it is good you try to do it as exercising help retains skin elasticity by improving the circulation. There is no gainsaying that the exercises you perform should not be intense.

Gain weight gradually

This is perhaps the quickest way to get stretch marks. The faster you gain weight, the more you are vulnerable to stretch marks. You should follow your doctor’s recommendation for slowly gaining weight. Usually, women add weight when pregnant.

Winning Wisdom: Unto God

Topic: Unto God [Thursday, 23rd March 2017]

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men. Colossians 3:23

Everyday we do stuff. We have to do things for people around us: our father, mother, siblings, friends, even people we don’t know. Some we like and are interested in, some we detest and wish we never had to do them. Sometimes, we even grumble through the tasks we have to do, maybe because we don’t like the persons we do them for, but we can’t say no for one reason or another.

Now, we’ve been clearly instructed from scriptures not to murmur (Philippians 2:14). How then do we go about doing things for people we don’t like, or unappreciative people without murmuring? Colossians 3:23 gives us the answer: to do everything we do heartily to the Lord, and not to men. How does this help us? When we do things for men, we expect them to notice our efforts, and then appreciate us, or even reciprocate the things done. But since man is insatiable, and usually bound to disappoint, they may not notice the efforts we put in, and sometimes when they notice, they may not appreciate us as much as we want them to. They may even criticize the work done! But if we do it as unto God, we know that “God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shown toward his name…” (Hebrews 6:10).

Nothing we do for the Lord is forgotten by Him, and though we may not get recognition for it, He will surely reward us.

Again, when everything we do is unto God, our daily activities will be continual worship to Him. Romans 14:7-8 says “For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.”

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear God thank You for life, and the strength to do the things I’m able to do. Help me everyday to do all things to You, and for Your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Joy of Intercessory Prayer

Author: Emode Victor

A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: The Joy of Intercessory Prayer [23/03/2017]

I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7. Read: Isa 61:1-3

There can never be a greater joy than the one intercessors enjoy. When you intercede on behalf of someone pertaining a particular challenge and seeing the person freed from that challenge suddenly springs joy in your heart. When you intercede for a sinner and not too long, the sinner gives his/her life to Jesus, there could not be joy measurable to that. Jesus said, when a sinner repent of his/her sin, there is joy in heaven and if you are the one that turns that sinner to Christ (by the grace of God), heaven will always return that joy to you in multiple folds. As children of God, the Ministry Christ has left us is that of reconciliation – reconciling the dying and lost world back to God the Father. 2 Cor 5:18-20.

As children of God who walk according to the dictates of the Spirit of God, we are to be zealous for every good works. We are to be concerned with the freedom of men. Men that the devil have held captive to do his will. 2 Tim 2:26. The best way to keep the joy of Salvation is to give it out to those (sinners) that need it. The reward of intercessors is joy unspeakable full of glory. 1 Pet 1:8.

#BiblePromisesPrayer

* Father, as I intercede for others and they get their results, let me not be left behind, let my joy be full in Jesus name

Dunamis’ Daily Devotional March 23, 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche – The Way of Service

Topic: The Way of Service [Thursday March 23, 2017]

Scripture:So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority” Genesis 39:4

Thought For The Day: There can be no quality leadership without quality service. Until you have served successfully, you cannot lead effectively.

The word ‘service’, in this context, connotes the act of going out of one’s way to be useful to someone or an organization in achieving and satisfying the desired need(s) of that person or organization. Literarily, service is assisting the visions, desires and aspirations to see fulfilment.

There can be no quality leadership without quality service. Until you have served successfully, you cannot lead effectively.

The truth is, there can be no wasted service. How you serve today determines how you will be served tomorrow. What you make happen for others, God will make happen for you. (Mike Murdock).

Assisting others to see the fulfilment of their vision makes God assist you in the fulfilment of your vision. Joseph interpreted the dreams of the butler and the baker, the outcome was that God interpreted his dreams.

Zig Ziglar once said, “You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”

My counsel is: do not struggle for status; struggle for service and service will give you status. Those who struggle for status only end as statues. That shall not be your portion in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: There can be no quality leadership without quality service. Until you have served successfully, you cannot lead effectively.

Assignment(S):

1. Make yourself available to serve in any capacity.

2. Obey the Word of God.

DCLM Daily Manna March 23, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Sundry Counsels For the Wise

Topic: Sundry Counsels For The Wise [Thursday March 23, 2017]

Text: Proverbs 18:13-24

Key Verse: “The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge” (Proverbs 18:15).

The unbridled tongue has always led to the waterloo of many. And who is a wise man? One who is able to tame his tongue; he thinks and reflects before talking. Sadly, the unregenerate heart does the very opposite. Our text today opens with a counsel on how to wisely use the tongue. It also lays emphasis on other vital lessons of life. We must give much thoughts to every question before answering it. Similarly, before passing comments on any issue, we must first get the facts. Those who fail to heed this timeless counsel have always reaped the reward of thoughtless speeches.

The importance of courage and good conduct which produce clear conscience and a healthy heart is stressed in this study. A believer with good courage and a good heart can never be easily overwhelmed by any calamity. A good conscience void of offence towards God and man will produce a blessed rest with God. Wise people who seek more knowledge, readily make a judicious use of all means of grace; they not only read the word of God and meditate upon it, they single-mindedly practise its precepts.

A truly gifted individual does not lobby for any position in life. He is identified and placed in the right position by God who indeed promotes. Identify your own gift therefore and use it for God. Try as much as possible to prevent offences among the brethren. If there is any dispute to settle, we should make the Bible our standard. If we make positive confession about ourselves, drawing strength from God, we will have positive results ultimately.

Thought for the day: Soft, measured words draw away wrath and calamities.

Our Daily Bread Devotional, March 23, 2017 – Cradled in Comfort

Topic: Cradled in Comfort [Thursday March 23, 2017]

Read: Isaiah 66:12–16, Bible in a Year: Joshua 13–15; Luke 1:57–80

As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you. Isaiah 66:13

My friend entrusted me with the privilege of holding her precious, four-day-old daughter. Not long after I took the baby into my arms, she started to fuss. I hugged her closer, my cheek pressed against her head, and began to sway and hum in a gentle rhythm to soothe her. Despite these earnest attempts, and my decade and a half of parenting experience, I couldn’t pacify her. She became increasingly upset until I placed her back into the crook of her mother’s eager arm. Peace washed over her almost instantaneously; her cries subsided and her newborn frame relaxed into the safety she already trusted. My friend knew precisely how to hold and pat her daughter to alleviate her distress.

God extends comfort to His children like a mother: tender, trustworthy, and diligent in her efforts to calm her child. When we are weary or upset, He carries us affectionately in His arms. As our Father and Creator, He knows us intimately. He “will keep in perfect peace all who trust in [him], all whose thoughts are fixed on [him]” (Isa. 26:3 nlt).

When the troubles of this world weigh heavy on our hearts, we can find comfort in the knowledge that He protects and fights for us, His children, as a loving parent.

Prayer: Lord, help me to look to You for my comfort in times of distress.

God’s comfort soothes us perfectly.

Insight:

In reflecting on the exile of Israel under divine discipline, the prophet Isaiah offers hope and comfort. He sees very clearly that “the Holy One of Israel” and the Creator of all things in heaven and earth are connected. Israel had a wayward heart that is characteristic of the human race. Yet the ultimate goal of Israel’s discipline was to secure their repentance and therefore a future blessing in the eternal covenant established with His people. Certainly God’s plan for Israel’s redemption included an unexpected impulse of divine grace extended to all the peoples of the world—from every tribe, tongue, and nation: “After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb” (Rev. 7:9).
