Tim Tebow Ranks Among NFL’s Most Liked and Disliked Quarterbacks in National Poll

Christian Post Report – Tim Tebow arrives at the 48th Country Music Association Awards in Nashville, Tennessee, November 5, 2014.

Even though Tim Tebow hasn’t played in a regular season NFL game since 2012, he remains one of America’s most liked and disliked quarterbacks among current players, according to a national survey released this month.

The 28-year-old SEC college football analyst is ranked as the fifith most favorite NFL quarterback in a Public Policy Polling survey that posed the question to 410 self described NFL fans. Tebow came in fifth behind Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton among a list of nine players named in the poll. Respondents also had the option to select a quarterback not named in the list.

Football fans were asked: “Given the choices of Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning, Cam Newton, Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Tim Tebow, and Russell Wilson, who is your favorite NFL Quarterback.”

While Tebow’s popularity managed to upstage that of Russell Wilson, Eli Manning and Drew Brees, he also managed to rank highly as people’s least favorite NFL quarterback, among the same choices. While Brady was chosen first, Tebow followed behind as the second least favorite quarterback, with Newton coming in third.

Tebow proved to be a strong college football player after he helped the University of Florida Gators win a national championship as the team’s starting quarterback in 2008. He was also on the team when it won a championship in 2006 and was the first college sophomore to win a Heisman Trophy in 2007, which honors the best football player in a given season.

Although he has struggled to find his place in the NFL after being drafted to the Denver Broncos in 2010, Tebow signed to the New York Jets in 2012, before getting picked up by the New England Patriots in 2013, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2015.

His last regular season game was with the Jets. Last year, Tebow was passed over for an open quarterback position on the Philadelphia Eagles.

Still, he handled what many would view as an upset with grace.

“Thanks @Eagles and Coach Kelly for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love! Romans 8:28 #Blessed,” Tebow tweeted back in September.

Former Eagles-turned-San Francisco 49ers coach Chip Kelly opened up about some of the improvements needed from Tebow that prevented him from being signed as the third string QB in Philadelphia.

“Tim’s really progressed but we didn’t feel like he was good enough to be the three right now,” Kelly said when Tebow was cut from the Eagles last year, according to CBS Sports. “He just needs to get out there and get more reps.”

Before he was cut from the team, Tebow said he was trying to improve but knew he could not control whether he made the Eagles team or not.

“That’s not up to me. I just try to go out there and do what I’m coached and try to improve every day and compete,” Tebow told CBS Sports. “I’ve said this a lot of times to you guys and I really genuinely mean it: I’m not going to worry about what I can’t control. It’s a blessing being able to come out here and play the game I love.”

During his speech at a Liberty University convocation in 2013, Tebow spoke about the impotance of being defined by his faith, instead of football. “In the end, football is just a silly game. Greatness comes from serving,” Tebow told the students. “You want to be great? Be a servant. You want to be great? Humble yourself.”

Last July, the Carnes announced that they were expecting their first child together.

“Adding a member to the band in February 2016!! ‪#‎BabyCarnes‬” Kari posted on Facebook in an image where the husband and wife were holding a mini guitar.

Jobe and Carnes were married on November 21 of 2014, and released their wedding video for fans to witness in celebration of their one year anniversary last November.

“11.21.14. The day the waiting met the promise. I never dreamed life could be as adventurous as this first year of marriage has been,” Carnes captioned a photograph of he and Jobe’s wedding day on their anniversary. “And to think we’re just getting started. I’m so happy to be married to this beautiful girl. We’re inviting you to celebrate our anniversary with us by releasing our wedding video for the first time.”

“One year ago today I married my best friend,” she wrote. “We want to celebrate with all of you by releasing our wedding highlights video.”

Jobe has openly shared about her marriage since the day she became a wife. Even before sharing her wedding video highlights, she could not hold her excitement back from fans in a Facebook message written the day after she got married.

“I’m married!!! Yesterday was more than a dream, more than a reality–it was a taste of Heaven. I’ve decided that God loves weddings,” she wrote on Facebook last year, “His presence was stronger than I’ve ever felt in my whole life. I’m so very thankful for those of you that were there with us–we experienced such a sweet time with you. Thank you for always celebrating and supporting what God is doing in my life–and now my husband @codycarnes. What a day. #Carnes2014.”

The “Majestic” singer, who is expected to drop an album at the end of the year, leads worship at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. She previously spoke to The Christian Post about how honored she is to be able to create worship music that people can be inspired by.

“It’s one thing to really dream and do what you’re called to do and it’s another when people say ‘we recognize the gift on your life and we honor what God’s saying to you and we want to hear what you’re singing,'” she told CP. “It’s a huge honor!”

Madonna’s ‘Rebel Heart Tour’ in Singapore Blasted by Catholic Archbishop as Anti-Christian

Madonna REUTERS / Benoit Tessier

Christian Post Report – Singer Madonna performs during her concert at the AccorHotels Arena in Paris, France, December 9, 2015, on her Rebel Heart Tour.

Madonna’s “Rebel Heart Tour” is passing through Singapore Sunday and Catholic Church officials there are urging their parishioners not to attend.

Archbishop William Goh is speaking out against the 57-year-old singer’s show that will take place at the Singapore Sports Hub Feb. 28. In a statement released by his office, Goh insists that Catholics in Singapore should make their faith a priority over Madonna’s show, which has anti-Christian values.

“There is no neutrality in faith; one is either for or against. Being present (at these events) in itself is a counter witness,” he said according to The Strait Times. “Obedience to God and His commandments must come before the arts.”

While the Media Development Authority restricted some of the singer’s religiously offensive content from her show, including her song “Holy Water,” Goh insists Catholics supporting Madonna is in direct opposition to them supporting God.

“As the people of God, we should subscribe to authentic Arts that lead us to God… and not support the ‘pseudo arts’ that promote sensuality, rebellion, disrespect, pornography, contamination of the mind of the young, abusive freedom, individualism at the expense of the common good, vulgarity, lies and half-truths,” he said.

The singer’s current tour is rife with religious symbolism including the giant stripper pole cross and a recreation of the Last Supper table that she uses to dance provocatively on. Close to 10 years ago, the former Catholic was excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

During her 2006 “Confessions Tour” stop in Rome, where she rose from a glittery cross with a crown of thorns atop her head, the Catholic community was outraged. With the approval of Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal Ersilio Tonino called for the singer’s excommunication from the church.

“This time the limits have really been pushed too far. This concert is a blasphemous challenge to the faith and a profanation of the cross,” a previous statement from the cardinal reads. “She should be excommunicated.”

The famed Grammy Award winning singer also spoke about her excommunication from the Catholic Church in a Rolling Stone article last year.

“I have a long relationship with the Pope, with the Vatican, with the Catholic Church, with my excommunication,” Madonna revealed. “Anyway, you know, I was raised a Catholic, and no matter what spiritual path I might go down, I always feel some kind of inexplicable connection with Catholicism. It kind of shows up in all of my work, as you may have noticed.”

The entertainer said she purposely fuses sex and religion in an attempt to “provoke people with concepts of sex and religion’s point of view about it” to challenge them, and said she believes the Pope would actually enjoy her show.

ISIS Awards $10K to Winners of Quran Reciting Contest in Mosul

ISIS (Photo: Reuters/Stringer)

Christian Post Report – Militant Islamist fighters wave flags as they take part in a military parade along the streets of Syria’s northern Raqqa province June 30, 2014. The fighters held the parade to celebrate their declaration of an Islamic “caliphate” after the group captured territory in neighboring Iraq, a monitoring service said. The Islamic State, an al Qaeda offshoot previously known as Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, posted pictures online on Sunday of people waving black flags from cars and holding guns in the air, the SITE monitoring service said.

The Islamic State terrorist organization has awarded $10,000 to four winners of a recently held Quran reciting contest in Iraq, the IS-affiliated Amaq news agency has reported.

According to Amaq, the contest was divided into four different levels and hundreds of people from different IS strongholds participated in regional qualifiers that led up to a national final.

The top-three participants in each region advanced to the final contest, which was held in IS’ largest Iraqi stronghold, Mosul.

A video posted to YouTube by Amaq shows various participants in the final, both male and female, reciting the Quran in song form in a conference room inside a Mosul hotel. The recitations were judged by a special committee of IS leaders .

The end of the video shows an IS leader announcing the various winners of the contest.

The winners of each of the four levels were presented with a certificate and given $10,000 as a prize. Others who advanced to the final competition in Mosul but were not victorious were given a consolation prize of $1,000 per person.

According to Breitbart, one of the grand prize winners was a blind man from the Nineveh region who knew the entire Quran by heart and recited it without one mistake.

Heavy.com reports that IS caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi made his first public appearence in 18 months at what appears to have been one of the regional qualifying Quran reading contests in Fallujah, Iraq earlier this month.

Baghdadi, who has laid low since he gained notoriety in 2014 when he declared himself as the leader of the barbaric terrorist group, was thought to have been killed or severely wounded in an airstrike last year. The United States has placed up to a $10 million bounty on Baghdadi.

Breitbart previously reported in June that IS had sent out pamphlets advertising a Quran reciting contest that was to be held during Ramadan.

Rather than being rewarded $10,000, the pamphlet explains that the top-three winners of the contest were to be given Yazidi sex slaves as grand prizes. The fourth place winner was to be given about $535.

“Allah willing, winners will be chosen between 21 Ramadan 1436 and 27 Ramadan 1437,” the English translation of the pamphlet reads. “We ask allah the great to ease and help you on your way in serving him as he desires.”

NY Jets Cornerback Antonio Cromartie Glorifies God After Losing NFL Job

Antonio Cromartie REUTERS

Christian Post Report – Antonio Cromartie officially ended his second stint with the Jets after the team released him to attain better financial stability.

In the midst of losing his job, New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie is glorifying God.

News that 31-year-old Cromartie was cut came Monday, after returning to the Jets for just one season. He previously played for the New York Jets from 2010-2013, but played for the Arizona Cardinals in 2014. His contract was not guaranteed for 2016.

“First I would like to give thanks to my Lord and Savior because everything that I’ve been blessed with is because of you. Thank you again,” Cromartie wrote on Instagram before thanking his fans, Jets Organization and teammates. “I had a lot of fun and I know my first half of the season didn’t go well and I thank you guys for pushing and believing in me while keeping me on the field so I could finish strong. Today is a sad day for me not because of my release but the guys I became really close to in our DB room.”

Cromartie went on to wish the organization and its affiliates blessings.

“God bless y’all boys in the future and let God lead the way for you. To the Jets Nation, the most important people that make Sunday’s so fun…thank you for welcoming me back,” he wrote. “I vow to be the person and player my Heavenly Father has asked me to be. God Bless You.”

The NFL player’s wife, Terricka Cromartie, is pregnant with her husband’s 11th child and spoke about God’s plans for him after being cut from the team.

“This is always the Hard part of this business but we know what we are dealing with and prepare for whatever comes our way. Thank You Jets Nation for all the Love you shower our family with,” she wrote on Instagram before telling her husband, “I love the man you are and can’t wait to see what God has in store for you. Man Plans God doesn’t.”

In a Us Weekly report earlier this year, Terricka revealed that she didn’t believe she was pregnant since her husband previously got a vasectomy. The couple, who married in 2008, are parents of two children together, while Antonio had eight children before they got together.

However, Antonio believes it is God’s will that his wife is expecting.

“It was shocking news for the both of us. It took me a while to process it, but Antonio stood firm and was saying, ‘It’s God’s will,'” she revealed to Us Weekly earlier this year. “And he’s been excited the whole time.”

Although some have criticized her husband for the amount of children he has, she calls them all a blessing.

“All my children are blessings and all of Antonio’s children are blessings, for that matter,” she told Us Weekly. “It was made to seem that my children weren’t a blessing because they were categorized by a number, and for that reason and that reason alone, I hid both of my [first two] pregnancies with my husband, just so I could enjoy them with those who were really happy for me.”

China Cracks Down on Christian Leaders by Ordering Pastors to Carry ‘Nazi-Like’ ID Cards

Christians in China (Photo: Reuters/Kim Kyung-Hoon)

Christian Post Report – Believers take part in a weekend mass at an underground Catholic church in Tianjin November 10, 2013.

The Communist Party in China is enforcing a new policy requiring Roman Catholic officials to carry ID cards stating their religious affiliation or risk losing the right to preach. Christian groups say this is another attempt by the regime to thwart the growth of the Christian faith in the country.

Catholic News Site UCA News reported that Buddhist monks are already being required to carry such ID cards, and by the end of the year the same will be expected of Catholic and Taoist priests.

“Protestantism and Islam — the other two of China’s five officially recognized religions — will surely face orders to follow suit in the near future,” the report suggested.

Persecution watchdog groups, such as International Christian Concern, have called the ID card requirements “Nazi-like.”

“ICC is distressed to hear of the Nazi-like identification credentials for Christian leaders in China. Our concern is that this new requirement will force many churches and their leaders underground,” said ICC Advocacy Manager Nate Lance.

“It is becoming ever clearer that the communist government and ardent Maoist President Xi Jinping is concerned over the growth of the Christian faith in China. We strongly request that the government rescind these requirements for all faiths, allowing the Chinese people to worship as they please,” Lance added.

Religious leaders found without their ID cards will reportedly be banned from engaging in religious activities, said the State Administration for Religious Affairs, which governs religious activity across the world’s most populous nation.

There has been an increasingly growing crackdown of churches in China, with a government campaign forcefully removing rooftop crosses from churches in several different provinces, which has led to the arrest of hundreds of activists and church goers.

Earlier in February, the Chinese government also arrested and formally charged Pastor Gu Yuese of Hangzhou’s Chongyi Church, the largest government sanctioned church in China. Though Communist Party officials say that Gu is being investigated for embezzling funds, groups such as China Aid have said he is being punished for standing up to the crackdown on churches.

News of the new ID card requirement follows a Human Rights Watch report which highlights the growing problems of religious persecution in China. The report noted that the government’s campaign has led to the demolishing of entire churches in Zhejiang Province, considered the heartland of Chinese Christianity.

The Communist Party continues to deny that it is infringing upon the religious freedom rights of its citizens, with party member Li Yunlong writing in China Daily that human rights criticism is “a product of subjective bias and prejudice” with “no foundation in reality.”

“In China, all citizens can freely choose their own religious beliefs, express their beliefs and take part in religious activities. The social environment is constantly improving for the prosperity of religion in China, and society has become more and more objective and reasonable toward religions,” Li argued.

China Aid President Bob Fu told The Christian Post in an interview earlier this month, however, that the government is very concerned about the growth of Christianity, since Christians now outnumber the members of the Communist Party.

“The top leadership is very increasingly worried about the rapid growth of Christian faith and their public presence, and their social influence,” Fu told CP.

ISIS Threatens Next Target Will Be Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter’s Jack Dorsey

Mark Zuckerberg (Photo: Reuters/Albert Gea)

Christian Post Report – Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, arrives for a keynote speech during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, February 22, 2016.

Supporters of the Islamic State terror group are threatening that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter head Jack Dorsey will be their next targets for continuously shutting down jihadist social media accounts.

“To Mark and Jack, founders of Twitter and Facebook and to their Crusader government. You announce daily that you suspended many of our accounts and to you we say: Is that all you can do?” states the 25-minute video by a group calling itself the “sons of the Caliphate army.”

Media and tech company Vocativ discovered the video, which apparently shows images of Zuckerberg and Dorsey covered with bullet holes.

The message continues: “You are not in our league. If you close one account we will take 10 in return and soon your names will be erased after we delete you (sic) sites, Allah willing.”

Facebook and Twitter have both been closing down social media accounts that support terrorism, with the latter stating that it has suspended 125,000 accounts “for threatening or promoting terrorist acts, primarily related to ISIS.”

A 3D plastic representation of the Twitter and Youtube logo is seen in front of a displayed ISIS flag in this photo illustration in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, February 3, 2016. Iraq is trying to persuade satellite firms to halt Internet services in areas under Islamic State’s rule, seeking to deal a major blow to the group’s potent propaganda machine which relies heavily on social media to inspire its followers to wage jihad. Picture taken February 3, 2016.

Still, the IS supporters claim to control more than 10,000 Facebook accounts, 150 Facebook groups and 5,000 Twitter profiles.

A spokesperson for Twitter told The Guardian that it wouldn’t be releasing a response to the video, noting that such threats have become very common.

IS has become infamous for spreading its jihadist propaganda online, which sometimes includes their mass murder and beheading videos.

Supporters of the terror group have addressed Dorsey in the past as well, stating in March 2015: “Your virtual war on us will cause a real war on you.”

The statement added: “You started this failed war. We told you from the beginning it’s not your war, but you didn’t get it and kept closing our accounts on Twitter, but we always come back.”

Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has also spoken out about IS’ online initiative, calling the militants “the first Internet terrorist network.”

Back in January, a top executive at Google suggested that IS’ access to the Internet should be blocked because of the way it uses social media platforms as a recruitment tool, especially for young people.

“What ISIS is doing is reflective of the times, as opposed to some sort of new sophistication that magically appeared,” said Jared Cohen, Google’s head of ideas, speaking at the Royal Institute of International Affairs at Chatham House in London.

“What is new is that they’re operating without being pushed back in the same Internet we all enjoy. So success looks like ISIS being contained to the dark web.”

Cohen explained that a “short-term win” would be to contain IS to the “dark web,” which would make it more difficult for Internet users to get exposed to the Islamic militants and risk recruitment into their ranks.

‘God’s Not Dead 2’ Realistic, But Might Not Be for Skeptics, Says Theologian

NRB convention(Photo: Christian Post/Scott Liu)

Christian Post Report – A theologian who frequently reviews biblically-themed and Christian films believes that the sequel to the surprise hit “God’s Not Dead” is realistic but probably not for skeptics.

Professor Darrell Bock, executive director for Cultural Engagement at DTS’ Hendricks Center, is part of a panel discussing current Christian films at Proclaim 16, the NRB International Christian Media Convention.

In comments given to The Christian Post, Bock said that “God’s Not Dead 2: He’s Surely Alive” deals with “quite real” issues in its plot and is very “direct” in its message.

“I think it resonates with those who have faith and see a rising more hostile culture. My one question is if it is really too direct to really reach a skeptic like I was before I became a believer,” said Bock.

“This is the fourth faith based movie I have previewed in the last three weeks. This is by far the most direct presentation. The other films I saw had subtlety and still brought home the message.”

Bock also told CP that his involvement with the panels on Christian films came because of his past work on the subject matter.

God's Not Dead 2(Photo: Pure Flix Entertainment)“God’s Not Dead 2” will be released in theaters on April 1, 2016.

“I am involved in media with the broadcasting of the Table podcast from Dallas Theological Seminary on the Net,” explained Bock.

“I am on panels discussing three movies, one movie each night of the conference: ‘Miracles from Heaven,’ ‘God is Not Dead 2,’ [and] ‘The Young Messiah.'”

Via the Table podcast, Bock has offered insights and reviews of various biblically themed movies as well as films produced by Christian companies.

For example, in April of 2014, Bock reviewed God’s Not Dead, calling it “in your face” and clear in its message, even if not always perfect in its portrayal of the typical college setting in America.

“There was a little bit of it that had an aura of, I thought in relationship to the way the University really is, unreality to it and that took away from the value of it to some degree,” said Bock on the podcast.

“On the other hand, there were very substantive things said about worldviews in the exchanges that were very much appropriate to the conversation our culture has with itself.”

According to its website, the NRB’s Proclaim 16 is a multiday convention that “connects, equips, and edifies thousands of Christian communicators – from broadcasters to producers, writers to publishers, managers to pastors, artists to consultants.”

“You will hear outstanding internationally known speakers and artists, have the opportunity to attend numerous networking events, and receive helpful industry insights,” reads the site.

This is not Bock’s first NRB convention, as he has attended the past three years and also a fourth one earlier on. He tells CP that he hopes the multiday event is a place of learning.

“It is a way to see what people are doing and discuss issues in broadcasting and culture. My hope is that we can learn to be more effective in the gospel message we proclaim and are to reflect,” said Bock.

Featured speakers for Proclaim 16 will include Media Research Center President Brent Bozell, actress and producer Roma Downey, Hobby Lobby President Steve Green, Answers in Genesis President Ken Ham, Fox News social commentator Judge Jeannie Pirro, and former Iraqi-based Anglican clergyman Canon Andrew White.

Boko Haram Atrocities Have Left Children Suicidal, Over 6,500 Malnourished, Reports Say

Nigeria children (Photo: Reuters/Afolabi Sotunde)

Christian Post Report – Women and children rescued from Boko Haram ariving at the IDC camp in Yola, Adamawa State in this undated photo.

The various atrocities being carried out by Islamic terror group Boko Haram, an ISIS affiliate, on the civilians in Nigeria, have left children suffering mental issues and thinking about suicide, reports warn.

As many as 6,500 children have also been left malnourished due to the conflict.

“I witnessed people’s shock and disbelief at the devastation suffered by their communities. I saw trauma in children’s eyes. The scale of the suffering is way beyond what I anticipated to find. The people I met demand and deserve urgent protection,” said Leila Zerrougui, the United Nations (UN) Special Envoy to Nigeria.

Boko Haram has been carrying out shootings and suicide attacks in Nigeria since 2009, forcing over 900,000 people, many of them women and children, to flee their homes in the North-East, Nigeria’s This Day reported, while over 300 schools have been destroyed.

Children have been killed, kidnapped, forced into sexual slavery, and been victims of a number of other crimes carried out against them.

Aliyu Ndajiwo, a medical student in the West Indies, noted that the continued stress worsens the conditions of children who have pre-existing mental conditions, and some are developing psychological symptoms due to the terror acts, including thoughts of suicide.

“Children and adolescents inflicted with trauma are more likely to show suicidal tendencies and some of them eventually end up committing the act,” Ndajiwo said.

The report noted that many children in Nigeria ‘invariably walk in fear with a feeling that they could be the next to be attacked.’

Ndajiwo added that “excessive and prolonged activation of the body’s stress response system could lead to what is referred to as toxic stress. This type of stress can hinder healthy development in children by affecting the child’s cognition and behaviour, and can also alter the expression of stress regulatory genes, thereby increasing the risk of stress-related physical and mental ailments later in life.”

Sule Mele, the head of the Borno State Primary Health Care Board, has separately said that another critical factor affecting children is the rise in malnutrition at the refugee camps set up for people affected by Boko Haram.

“We recorded about 6,444 severe cases of malnutrition in the IDP (internally displaced persons) camps during the period,” Mele said earlier this week, according to AFP.

“25,511 others have mild to moderate symptoms, while 177,622 among the children were not malnourished,” he added.

Mele also said that at least 459 children aged between one to five died last year at the camps from preventable childhood diseases such as diarrhea, vomiting and measles, which were exacerbated by malnutrition.

The health official further warned that even if the children are given enough to eat, they still face the risk of malnourishment if the food does not meet the daily nutritional requirements.

A separate report by UNICEF and International Alert warned earlier in February that some women and their children rescued from Boko Haram are being rejected by their communities back home, due to social stigma and fear.

“As they return, many face marginalization, discrimination and rejection by family and community members due to social and cultural norms related to sexual violence,” the report warned about the freed women, noting that some community members are afraid they have been radicalized by the Islamic terrorists.

Pope Francis’ Pregnant Secretary Found Dead, Vatican Calls for Investigation

Pope Francis (Photo: Reuters/Gary Cameron)

Christian Post Report – Pope Francis (C) departs the Vatican Embassy in Washington on the third day of his first visit to the United States September 24, 2015. The pope will address a joint meeting of the U.S. Congress today.

The seven-months pregnant secretary of Roman Catholic Church leader Pope Francis was reportedly found dead at her apartment in Rome, with the Vatican calling on police to investigate the matter.

“Pope Francis had been informed of the death. We are all pained by this news,” said Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi.

The Mirror noted that 34-year-old Miriam Wuolou, who is of Eritrean origin, had worked for years at the Santa Marta guesthouse, where the pontiff lives. Francis had opted to live at the more humble guesthouse instead of the lavish papal apartments when he was chosen as Pope back in 2013.

Italian press noted that Wuolou suffered from a serious kind of diabetes, which doctors had warned could put her pregnancy at risk, but it is not yet known if that is related to her death. The secretary is believed to have missed several weeks of work due to her condition.

She was found dead at her apartment last Friday by her brother who came to see her.

The ANSA news agency reported that prosecutors have ordered an autopsy to be carried out on Wuolou’s body, as there were no signs of physical violence discovered at her Rome apartment.

“A DNA test will also be carried out on the fetus. Wuolou’s body was found by Carabinieri police at her flat in the Pisana area south of Rome after her brother raised the alarm. It allegedly presented no signs of violence,” the report stated.

The Vatican will reportedly be following the case closely, but officials are not expected to be directly involved in the investigations. The Vatican News website is also yet to report on Wuolou’s death.

Italian newspaper il Messaggero reported that police suspect it could have been a case of neglect, and have interviewed family members, her ex-husband from whom she was separated, and most recent boyfriend, who is believed to be a policeman who works at the Vatican.

Catholic Culture suggested that questions have been raised about her ex-husband, who did not live with her, and whether “their union was arranged simply to enable her to become a citizen.”

DNA tests are also set to be carried out on the fetus, with investigators seeking to confirm the paternity of her unborn child.
