Jill Duggar Dillard Shares Christian Conversion Update From Central America Mission

Jill and Derrick Dillard announced on social media Saturday that their young family is settling into their lives as missionaries in Central America; though their son, Israel, is adjusting faster than his parents are at the moment.

In a blog post shared with their followers, the former “19 Kids and Counting” stars said they’ve adjusted well to being missionaries and said their 2 month old son, Israel David, is adapting well to the new environment. Jill, 24, and Derrick, 26, said previously that they felt called to share the Gospel of Jesus around the world and already the pair has helped at least one woman give her life to Christ.

“We are so excited to announce that we have safely arrived on the mission field and we can now tell you that we are in Central America! Israel seems to be adjusting to the new climate, culture, food (via mom’s milk), and language faster than Jill and I are,” they wrote on July 18.

Earlier this month, the Duggar family opted to not disclose Jill and Derrick’s destination, citing “security reasons.”

“It is encouraging to already see some of the ways God is changing the hearts of the people here,” the Dillards’ blog post read. “Just seven days ago, I had the joy of witnessing one elderly woman give lordship of her life to Christ.

“This transpired just one day after her Christian son was restored to fellowship in his local church. We were at the man’s house ministering to him with encouragement from God’s Word when the opportunity was presented to share the hope of the Gospel with his mother. It’s our prayer, and we ask you to please pray with us, that many more would repent of their ways and turn to God’s way for their life.”

The couple, who wed on June 21 of last year, previously opened up about why they felt called to do missionary work abroad.

“We have a deep love and care for all of the world and a real passion for those in the nations, as many have even seen in the early stages of our relationship, and our hope is that all peoples of the world would come to repentance and put their hope in the Lord, Jesus Christ,” the pair wrote earlier this month in a blog post titled “Ministry.” “God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip.”

The Dillards’ decision to travel abroad came more than one month after Jill came forward as one of five victims allegedly molested by her brother, Josh, when he was 14. Jessa Duggar, 22, is also identified as one of his victims, although both sisters have since forgiven him.

The molestation scandal sparked a firestorm of criticism in May which led to Josh resigning from his position as a director with Family Research Council Action and issuing a heartfelt apology, which stated that he’s “deeply sorry” for what he described as “my wrongdoing.”

Last week, TLC, formerly known as The Learning Channel, announced the cancellation of its long-running reality TV series “19 Kids and Counting,” less than two months after the show was suspended in the wake of Josh’s molestation case.

Singer Fantasia Barrino is asking fans to be happy for her now that she’s married the man she believes God created for her.

Barrino, 31, took to social media to share images from her wedding ceremony held on a boat with her new husband, Kendall Taylor, the CEO of Metro Transportation in Charlotte, North Carolina.

“Can you see it? How Happy I am ..,” the singer wrote. “This man … God made him just for me and me just for him. This man covers and prays for me and my children EVERY morning.”

The season three “American Idol” winner posted images of herself in her wedding gown standing next to her husband while on a boat Monday, but didn’t reveal any details about the date or location the nuptials took place.

Barrino shared her newlywed excitement with over 1 million Instagram followers while insisting that God remembered her in her time of need.

“HE COVERS ME. Be Happy with me you guys cause I’ve been thru SOOOOO much. Some stuff was my wrong decisions but all I ever really wanted was this. Real Love,” she wrote on Instagram. “This Man and this smile is real. Later you guys bye bye for a while. God did not forget about me.”

Since 2014, Barrino has been showcasing Taylor on social media while thanking God for answering her prayers in the form of her husband.

“God, I thank you!!! He’s everything I prayed for,” Barrino wrote on Instagram last November. “To feel protected and to have someone to Cover me in prayer. To believe when I don’t Believe. Man!!!”

Taylor serves as a mentor in the Charlotte Mentors of Valor Empowered program, where his biography states that he has given his life to Jesus Christ after overcoming a sordid past filled with sex, drugs and alcohol.

“He was arrested and incarcerated in a facility hundreds of miles from home and it was in that place, at that time, that he began to clearly hear and respond to the call of God on his life. He laid down the failures of his past and began to carry his cross for the sake of Christ,” his biography states on the organization’s website. “Today, Kendall is determined to win souls who are lost or who lack direction. … He has set his sights on the work of the Lord and prepares himself daily as he battles for the men who want to be what God has destined for them to be.”

Radar Online previously published information about the details concerning Taylor’s criminal past, which included a number of arrests from 1996 to 2007.The website reported that Taylor was a convicted felon who was previously arrested for a number of charges that include firearm possession, assault of a female, and drug possession. While some of Barrino’s fans took to social media to warn her about the relationship, the singer insisted Taylor’s past provides a platform for God to use him.

“I think about all the things he has told me and I’m like, man!!! Nothing but God,” the singer wrote on Instagram last year. “You can’t tell me God won’t take something out of nothing and turn it into SOMETHING I love this man and he is crazy about me.”

    While Evelyn Lozada is devastated over the miscarriage she suffered earlier this year, the reality TV star said she wholeheartedly believes it was in God’s will, because He “doesn’t make mistakes,” and hopes other women can find hope and healing after learning about her painful ordeal.

    Two years after her departure from “Basketball Wives,” the VHChristian Post Report – 1 reality TV series that launched her to stardom in 20Christian Post Report – 10, Lozada is back on TV, this time in her own reality TV show “Livin’ Lozada,” which premiered July Christian Post Report – 1Christian Post Report – 1 on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.

    On Saturday’s episode, viewers saw the 39-year-old mother of two come to grips with the devastating loss of her pre-born baby during the sixth week of pregnancy.

    “This was just another tragic incident in my life that I had to deal with. But I say God doesn’t make mistakes. Women just need to hold out hope,” Lozada told People.com.

    The Bronx native shares a Christian Post Report – 15-month-old son, Carl Leo, with her fiance, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Carl Crawford, and has a 2Christian Post Report – 1-year-old daughter, Shaniece, from a previous relationship.

    Lozada, who did not respond to CP’s request for comment for this story by press time, told People that she initially blamed herself for the miscarriage.

    “It’s just something that a woman deals with alone. You have a million and one questions in your mind as to what happened. You just feel responsible. It’s your body. It’s a loss that only you can relate to,” she said.

    Eventually, she came to understand that miscarriages are more common than people realize, particularly during the first trimester of a woman’s pregnancy. She also accepted that she was not at fault for her loss.

    “It’s nothing that you ate, or did; it’s not your age. One out of all four to five pregnancies end in miscarriage,” she said. “I have three girlfriends and it’s literally happened to each and every one of them.”

    The reality star has come a long way since she made headlines in 20Christian Post Report – 12 following a headbutt incident involving her ex-husband, NFL star Chad Johnson. After facing a very public divorce from Johnson, Lozada has since found happiness with Crawford.

    “He came into my life at a perfect time. Everything that happened makes me appreciate him Christian Post Report – 1,000 times more and he also makes me a better person,” she previously told Life & Style magazine. “I appreciate everything and I thank God every day for my life. … I’m really lucky and really, really blessed.”
