Christian Post Report – On last Sunday’s episode of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Todd and Kandi do their “therapy homework” together, Phaedra and Kandi have a heart to heart talk, and Nene walks out of the group therapy session that she organized.

As advised by their counselor, Todd and Kandi are writing down the pros and cons in their marriage. Todd mulls things over for a bit before writing down that Kandi is “family oriented” in the pros column. Kandi says that all she wants is to get the spontaneity back in their marriage.

Later, Kandi visits Phaedra at her office. Kandi says she’s hurt and she has no idea why Phaedra turned to Nene instead of her. Phaedra says that Nene noticed that things were falling apart in her life, while Kandi seemed to be preoccupied with other things. Kandi said that the cancellation of her musical, “A Mother’s Love,” was the reason why she had been distant.

Though Phaedra thinks that that was a poor excuse, both of them agreed to let it go and move on.

“What people say, it doesn’t matter,” said Phaedra. As long as we have an understanding.”

Finally, it was time for the group therapy session with Dr. Jeff. Nene, Kenya, Claudia, Kandi, Cynthia, and Porsha show up, but Phaedra declined, saying that she didn’t want to be around “dark hearts.”

The ladies are seated in a circle, and Nene initiates the conversation.

“I thought it was important for us to come together,” she said. “I think it would be good if we can get on the same page.”

While the intervention was Nene’s idea, everyone soon agrees that most of the drama is caused by Nene herself. Before the session, she promised to keep an open mind, but Nene manages to find a reason to defend all her actions.

When Kenya asked Nene why they couldn’t get along—they’ve been having problems since Kenya moved to Atlanta—Nene tells her that they will never be friends.

Claudia says that Nene wasn’t very welcoming to her either and calls her encounter with Nene a “very bipolar experience.” Nene wasn’t happy with this and told Claudia to get her act together.

Cynthia said that she was offended when Nene insulted her husband. Cynthia adds that once the rift started, Nene “went above and beyond to destroy the friendship.”

“You’re not a victim!” Nene snaps at Cynthia. “You are a mean girl. You found your voice yet?”

Kandi says that Nene has always made it known that she was one of the first Housewives and finds the need to constantly “mark her territory”. Nene finally had enough and storms out of the session. Dr. Jeff follows her, but she refuses to come back.

“This must be Attack Nene Day,” she tells him. “Those people are very wrong.”

‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ airs on Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.

Christian Post Report – Keyshia Cole is making a conscious decision to step away from the negative fodder being dished out on social media and keeping her priorities in order.

Cole, the 33-year-old singer-songwriter, has always been vocal about her struggles in life and even filmed many of them for reality television cameras. While fans have witnessed her reconcile issues with her mother’s drug addiction and issues with siblings, Cole recently dealt with marital issues in a very public way off of television screens.

The singer has insinuated that her estranged husband Daniel “Boobie” Gibson was not being faithful in their marriage and the two engaged in a war of words in front of countless fans on social media. Cole realized it was a mistake to air the grievances about her marriage on social media and even took to Instagram to apologize to the public and make nice with her estranged husband for the sake of their son.

“At the end of the day @Daniel_GibsonJr is what matters! Was I wrong for bringing [it] to social media? #YES! And we both Apologize for that,” Cole wrote on Instagram March 16. “So we went out last night to discuss priorities and what#AsolutlyComesFirst #NoArguing #NoFighting#Daniel #Keyshia #DanielJr”.

Now that the dust has settled, Cole recently spoke to The Christian Post about beginning her journey of healing while keeping the focus on God, her career and son.

“At this moment I don’t know what’s going on with this and what’s the point of it not being able to be worked out. The thing is I’m trying to build myself and my career and I can’t do that if I’m always stressed out about a relationship that isn’t working,” Cole told The Christian Post. “I can’t lose myself trying to figure out a situation that isn’t able to be worked out. I think spiritually, I have to realize that and just do what’s best for my child.”

The singer is no stranger to overcoming adversity as her mother Frankie’s battle with drug addiction caused her to give Cole up for adoption. Instead of letting the circumstances of life get her down, Cole worked hard to make her dreams of becoming an entertainer come to pass and believes that her faith had something to do with that and the success in all of her varied ventures.

“Honestly if you stay focused and driven on what your motivations, are I feel like you can succeed in anything you want to do. I honestly believe that because whatever I have put my mind to I’ve been able to accomplish no matter what cards I was dealt,” Cole told CP. “I’m a strong believer that if you keep your faith right, you’ll make sure you get what you want out of life because it’s possible. I mean, anything is possible especially with God by your side.”

As a mother, the singer understands the importance of teaching her 5-year-old son Daniel Gibson, Jr. (DJ) the importance of prayer. Her own foundation of faith stems from being raised in the church where she learned about the power of prayer at a young age.

“My mother took us to church every Sunday, Wednesday Bible Study, student Bible Sunday. It was instilled in me at a very young age,” she recalled to CP. “But I definitely felt connected very young and prayed all the time as a child. So it’s the same thing that I try to teach DJ. We’re working on that, so he’s learning how to pray himself.”

Although Cole will be the first to admit that she does not have things all figured out, she would not necessarily warn her teenage self to do anything differently either.

“Everything is a lesson. Everything that you go through builds who you are and builds your character of the person that you are,” Cole said. “I wouldn’t tell myself not to do this or do that. You’ve got to try to stay focused, take the best view and try to be more positive because it could really take you under and damage you if you allow it to.”

Now that she is focusing on her priorities once again, Cole is going full steam ahead with her career. She is currently in the process of putting an independent album together where she will team up once again with Ron Fair, the songwriter and producer who executive produced her first three albums.

“We’re going to do an independent album that we’re meeting with a bunch of people about right now, we’ve been working on new music,” Cole revealed to CP. “It really never stop when it comes to music. It’s an ongoing process.”

The singer also has plans to reach back out to music mogul Kanye West, who she worked with early on in her career and is even thinking about doing an independent shoe line after learning from collaborating with footwear company Steve Madden. Now that her eight-episode BET reality television show “Keyshia Cole: All In” is currently airing on Tuesday nights, the singer is placing much of her focus on her business.

Despite cameras recording her family issues, marriage and music career for two previous reality television shows, Cole told CP she had more to share on the show because “I just felt like there were a lot of issues that needed to be addressed.”

Still, Cole is going to focus less on life’s problems and give more energy to what matters most.

“You’ve got to stay focused, keep your head above the water and I think that’s mainly where my priority is now,” she said. “Sometimes you’ll be caught up in the midst of it and I decided myself to pick a healing direction and work in that direction. That’s where I’m going to get my results from as a woman, as a mother.”

Christian Post Report – A 71-year-old Indian nun, who was gang raped by robbers last Friday night inside a Catholic missionary school in eastern India, is reportedly asking God to forgive the men who assaulted her.

A group of bandits raided the Convent of Jesus and Mary School in West Bengal on Friday and reportedly tried to assault another woman inside the school. The aging nun, who remains nameless, tried to prevent the men from attacking the woman.

The Times of India reports that the men locked the nun in a room while two other members of the church and a security guard were tied down to chairs in a separate area. After the three of them were tied up, the bandits went into the room where the elderly nun was being held and gang-raped her.

The men also ransacked the school, ripped apart a Bible, destroyed a bust of Jesus and stole cash, laptops, phones and other belongings.

After the four victims were discovered inside the school on Saturday morning, the nun was transported to the Ranaghat Hospital where she was treated for her injuries, according to the Times.

A mother of one of the school’s students who went to visit the nun at the hospital explained that she and other visitors were astounded to hear that the nun was more concerned about whether or not her attackers were forgiven, rather than her own physical state.

The Times reports: “Visitors could not hold back their tears when she prayed that the men who harmed her be forgiven.”

“That’s the greatness of spiritual soul like her,” the woman said. “But all of us want the miscreants behind such heinous crime to be arrested and given exemplary punishment.”

The hospital’s superintendent, Atindranath Mondal, said the nun was also deeply concerned with the safety of the school and its students. Mondal explained that the nun kept saying, “Dil mein dard hai (my heart is broken).

Distraught over the physical attack against the nun, citizens in the Nadia district of West Bengal shut down schools and shops on Tuesday and protested over what they perceive to be police inaction in regard to justice for the nun and school.

“We have called for the shutdown of businesses and shops in this town to support the nun … and the immediate arrest of the culprits,” Samiran Paul, a cloth merchant and spokesman for the local business association, told AFP. “We can’t imagine such inhumane torture on an elderly nun who devoted her life to service of humanity. It’s a shame on us.”

The school’s surveillance cameras captured six men in their 20s scaling the school walls. The video footage has reportedly captured the faces of at least three of the men.

Three days after the crime, key suspects are believed to remain at-large even though local police have detained at least eight individuals who they suspected as culprits. None of detainees faces, however, matched the faces of the men caught on video.

Although no arrests have been made, Nadia District Police Superintendent Arnab Ghosh told media outlets that five people are still being held in connection to the crime.

“CCTV footage showed that six men, aged between 20 and 30, scaled the boundary wall round 11:40 p.m. and entered the school and disconnected the telephone lines,” Ghosh explained. “At least two of them were armed and the rest were carrying burglary tools. In the chapel, a holy scripture was found torn and … a bust of Jesus was broken.”

A reward of 100,000 rupees has been offered for leads to an arrest.

Christian Post Report – The 20th season and 10th anniversary of “Dancing With The Stars” kicked off to a good start as the celebrity contestants hit the dance floor to prove that they’re ready to give it their all for the Mirror Ball Trophy. On Monday night, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, Julianne Hough and Len Goodman were in good spirits as a front runner emerged, a “Bachelor” proved that he could dance, and an ex-Army man’s performance brought the audience to their feet.

Here is a recap and scores of the DWTS week one performances:

Ryker Lynch and Allison Holker
Dance: Jive
Score: 31 (out of 40)
Ryker’s jive with Allison was fun and upbeat. While the judges appreciated their energy, they’re looking forward to more refinement and improved technical skill in the coming weeks.

Nastia Liukin and Derek Hough
Dance: Foxtrot
Score: 30
Nastia and Derek’s foxtrot to “New York, New York” was shown in black and white before switching to color and ended with an amazing flip by the Olympic gold gymnast. Julianne called it “the most explosive first dance ever.”

Willow Shields and Mark Ballas
Dance: Cha-Cha-Cha
Score: 25
The 14-year old was graceful in her movements, but the judges agreed that she needs to improve on her footwork. “I think you’re going to go far my dear,” said Carrie Ann.

Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson
Dance: Cha-Cha
Score: 28
The “Shark Tank” boss impressed the judges with his charisma and sharp moves. Their wildly energetic cha-cha was praised by Carrie Ann as she said that Robert’s energy matched that of a 14-year old.

Michael Sam and Peta Murgatroyd
Dance: Cha-cha
Score: 26
Their cha-cha to “Uptown Funk” showed off Michael’s great moves and hip action, though the judges said that he has to work on his footwork.

Chris Soules and Witney Carson

“I’m engaged to a Whitney and now I’m dancing with a Witney,” quipped Soules. The ‘Bachelor’ danced to “Footloose” which prompted Julianne to say, “Your feet were a little loose, but it was so much fun!”

Noah Galloway and Sharna Burgess
Dance: Cha-Cha
Score: 26
“What I’m lacking in limbs, I’ll make up in determination and hard work,” Noah promised Sharna in their rehearsal footage. Their cha-cha was sweet and soulful, and the audience gave them a standing ovation. “It was profound,” said Carrie Ann. Julianne said that this was the first time she saw a “genuine connection among the pairs that danced tonight.”

Dance: Cha-Cha
Score: 25
The pair paid homage to the 1980s as they danced to Olivia Newton John’s “Physical” complete with ’80s aerobics outfits, and Len praised the 68-year old, telling her, “You are in lovely condition.”

Dance: Foxtrot
Score: 25
Patti admits that while she has always sang, she has never danced in her whole life. Nevertheless, her partner effortlessly guided her on the dancefloor which resulted to an elegant foxtrot, and Julianne said, “You are a joyful, graceful goddess.”

Charlotte McKinney and Keo Motsepe
Dance: Jive
Score: 22
Charlotte lost her rhythm early and often, and she flubbed some steps. However the judges kept the criticism to a minimum and gave her some pointers to improve next time.

Redfoo and Emma Slater
Dance: Cha-Cha
Score: 22
The flamboyant “Party Rock Anthem” rapper appeared somewhat stiff on the dancefloor, and while the judges praised his showmanship, they all said that he needs to work on his technique.

Rumer Willis and Valentin Chmerkovskiy
Dance: Foxtrot
Score: 32
The pair was the last to perform, and they did not disappoint as their elegant and striking foxtrot impressed the judges. “Things just got real! You are in it to win it!” said Carrie Ann. Bruno praised Rumer’s form, and Julianne said that they were definitely the pair to watch this season. Rumer’s parents, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore were applauding wildly with the rest of the audience after the performance.

“Dancing With The Stars” airs on Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Christian Post Report – After last week’s unconventional episode wherein viewers got a glimpse of what goes on in Alicia’s mind, ‘The Good Wife’ came back with more traditional fare last Sunday with its episode titled “Open Source.”

Louis Canning is still in the ICU and asks to see Alicia. Louis wants to do something nice for the family of the donor who gave him a kidney—he wants to give them $18 million in stocks. However, David Lee is not returning his calls.

It turns out the family doesn’t want the money, they want it to be donated to the Strong Arm of Liberty, which is a pro-Palestine group that have ties to Hamas. David says that he’ll need approval from the state department because he doesn’t want to facilitate a group that supports Hamas and the killing of Jewish people.

Alicia goes to see Louis, and talks to him while he’s unconscious, she tells him that he’s a bad man but she doesn’t want him to die. She says that she’ll get the money to his charity. Later on, stories about Alicia supporting Hamas come out.

Meanwhile, Diane and Finn are in court and suing the designer who created a plastic gun from a 3D printer. The gun misfired while he was at the shooting range and paralyzed someone. Diane’s husband, Kurt, is on the stand and he says that it’s the responsibility of the designer Chris Fife, to make sure that the gun is safe.

Fife insists that he designed the gun to protect people. He argues that the technology he used made it hard for dictators to control technology.

Kalinda is checking the designer’s website and sees a video of Fife boasting about getting out of a cold basement. Kalinda asks McVeigh to try using the printer in a cold environment, and that was the problem all along why the gun was faulty. Moreover, Fife knew about the problem all along.

“The Good Wife” airs on Sundays at 9/8c on CBS.

Christian Post Report – Britney Spears is said to be releasing a new album as well as taking part in a collaboration with Australian rap artist, Iggy Azalea.

Britney Spears, whose eighth album Britney Jean was released in 2013, is reportedly gearing up for her ninth offering, which may feature a collaboration with rappe, Iggy Azalea. The album, which has an as yet unannounced release date, is likely to be launched after Spears finishes her contracted performance run in Las Vegas.

Spears, 33, who has signed on for 100 shows at Planet Hollywood, will be in residency for her “Piece of Me” run up to the end of the year, and is currently in negotiations with the casino resort for an extended run up to 2017.

However, Spears, who says her new music is emerging “slowly but surely,” has been busy in the recording studio since September last year, churning out new material in between shows. According to her manager, Larry Rudolph, the singer is concentrating on recording singles, but will get on to production on her next album soon.

Meanwhile, speculations have emerged the English girl group, Little Mix, has penned a song Spears is going to use for her collaboration with “Fancy” artist Iggy Azalea. The single, “Pretty Girls,” was written for Little’s Mix’s upcoming album until they weeded it out at the last moment. Spears is said to have taken a liking to the song, and is reportedly planning to unveil the single as her collaboration with Azalea within the next few weeks.

According to the Australian rapper’s Twitter feed, Spears is making “epic plans” for “Pretty Girls,” which the pop singer is preparing to use as the lead song in her ninth album. Azalea posted their collaboration may be released as a single at the beginning of 2016.

Christian Post Report – Just weeks after news emerged Lady Gaga would be appearing in the fifth season of “American Horror Story,” it was announced Matt Bomer of “White Collar” will be joining her when the show premieres late this year.

“White Collar’s” Matt Bomer will be joining Lady Gaga for a lead role the fifth season of 20th Century Fox TV and FX Channel’s “American Horror Story.” Late last month, it was learned the “Born This Way” performer had been cast for Season 5, titled “American Horror Story: Hotel,” which will premiere October 2015.

According to Bomer, he still doesn’t have the details of his role in the upcoming season, but is ready for whatever show creators Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have planned for him. Lady Gaga, who signed on last month, has an undisclosed role, as well.

“I only got to dip my toes in the freaky-deaky nature,” Bomer said in an interview with Buzzfeed. “I’m ready to go in the deep end, baby.”

It will be Bomer’s second appearance on the show after he played a male prostitute murder victim in a Season 4 episode, “Pink Cupcakes.” Season 5 will mark Lady Gaga’s first regular television role where she will be playing a character other than herself.

“30 Rock” actor Danny Baker, Cheyenne Jackson will also be joining Gaga and Bomer for the fifth Season of the horror franchise.

Filming for the 13-episode “AHS: Hotel” is set to begin late this summer in Los Angeles, bringing a change of scene from its previous New Orleans locations. The new season will also mark the first one without Oscar winner and veteran Hollywood actress Jessica Lange. Lange, who played four characters in all four seasons of “American Horror Story” will not be returning for the fifth season.

“AHS,” which first ran in October 2011, was well received by critics and consistently garnered high ratings for FX.

Christian Post Report – The much anticipated third-person shooter video game “Gears of War 4” for Xbox One still hasn’t got an official release date. However, this news doesn’t thwart the hopes of fans who have long been waiting for the fourth instalment of the Gears of War series.

There’s a high possibility for the title to come out during E3 2015 convention which will be held in June.

Development for the game will now be carried out by Black Tusk Studios, according to KPopStarz. Earlier this year, the franchise’s long time developer, Epic Games, announced that they won’t be making the follow-up series following the sale made with Microsoft.

The task was then later turned over to Black Tusk, whose head, Rod Fergusson, was also involved with Gears of War during his time as an Epic Games producer.

It really won’t be long before “Gears of war 4” hits the store shelves. Xbox manager Phil Spencer told Gamespot that Black Tusk is already “making massive progress” on the project.

There have been rumours that the fourth series might be a reboot. The Xbox official adressed those speculations as well.

“And Gears 2 did well, Gears 3 did well. So I thought the franchise continued to grow. But we’ve talked about getting back to something … I think the story and the setting and what they’re going through … in a Gears of War–the name of the game, it really meant something to what that game was about. We’ve got to get back to that,” he said.

Christian Post Report – Hip hop performer Kendrick Lamar’s much anticipated second album, To Pimp A Butterfly made digital waves Sunday after it leaked online.

“Overly Dedicated” rapper Kendrick Lamar’s second major album, To Pimp A Butterfly, made its debut on iTunes and Spotify one week before its scheduled March 23 launch.

The 16-song set appeared on iTunes briefly before being pulled down, but remains available for streaming via Spotify, earning the ire of Lamar’s record label, Top Dawg Entertainment head, Anthony Tiffith, who posted an angry tweet in response to the leak.

The highly-awaited release with all its 16 tracks features guest appearances by various artists including Pharrell Williams, Snoop Dogg, George Clinton and Flying Lotus.

To Pimp A Butterfly is the Compton emcee’s follow up to his critically acclaimed 2012 album, Good Kid, m.A.A.d City. According to Lamar, the title of his latest effort is a play on iconic author Harper Lee’s classic novel, “To Kill A Mockingbird.”

“Just putting the word ‘pimp’ next to ‘butterfly’… It’s a trip,” Lamar told Rolling Stone in an interview a week ago. “That’s something that will be a phrase forever. It’ll be taught in college courses — I truly believe that.”

Good Kid, m.A.A.d City revolved around the story of a young black man growing up in Compton, and it was one of the best-reviewed releases in hip hop in 2010. To Pimp A Butterfly tells an emotionally gripping and conflicted story of the same young man unleashed upon the world and coming to terms with his place in it.

Considered this generation’s hip-hop introspective rapper, Lamar’s forward-thinking and gravitas-laden second album cements his reputation as a serious artist.

Christian Post Report – Rap artist Tyga (short for “Thank You God Always”) has publicly professed his love for reality star and Kardashian family member Kylie Jenner through an Instagram post last March 13. This seems to go against denials from both parties that they are not dating.

Kylie was reportedly “on cloud nine” after the rapper’s gesture, according to Hollywood Life. A source close to the young star said that “she lit up like an overdone Christmas tree” and that “she felt that she was living a wonderful dream.”
