Christian Post Report – Bayer Leverkusen’s Hakan Calhanoglu (C) scores a goal past Atletico Madrid’s goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya.

In their first meeting at BayArena, Bayer got a surprise result as Hakan Çalhanoğlu scored the match’s only goal in the 57th minute. It was an intense affair as five Bayer players were cautioned, while Atletico had four of their own, including a red card on Tiago for getting his second booking. Diego Godin also had a booking in the match and, as a result, the two stars will not be available to play in the second leg.

As far as injuries are concerned, Saúl Ñíguez is out for Atletico due to a back injury, while Robbie Kruse will not take part for Bayer as he is recovering from an ankle knock.

Many still consider Atletico as favourites in the match, despite losing the first leg. This is due to them finishing as finalists last year and the team have advanced into the quarter-finals of the competition seven times.

Ironically, Leverkusen have never gotten past the round-of-16 and have a golden opportunity following the win in the first leg.

They are in excellent for as they have not lost in their last six matches across all competitions, winning their last five. As it stands, they are fourth in the Bundesliga and are only two points behind Borussia Monchengladbach for automatic contention in next year’s European competition.

Atletico have struggled as of late, failing to win in their last four matches in all competitions. Since their loss to Bayer in the Champions League, Madrid have drawn three consecutive matches in the Spanish La Liga.

They are also fourth in their respective league, one point behind Valencia and four points ahead of Sevilla.

Android Lollipop update is available for Verizon customers with Samsung Galaxy S5 devices

Christian Post Report – Samsung has officially released its Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Galaxy S5 and S5 Plus handsets.

Samsung’s Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S5 Plus now have access to Android 5.0 Lollipop after Samsung made the new OS update available for download this week.

The update, which includes an upgrade from Kitkat to Android v5.0 Lollipop, also features an enhanced VOWiFi UI and removal of the Lumen tool bar. Other changes feature an altered look for the home screen and app drawer, a different shade for new notifications and quick-settings menu, new lock-screen notifications and a recent apps list, as well as a different appearance for the settings menu and dialer screen.

The update is already available for both carrier-based and unlocked Galay S5 LTE-A devices in South Korea. Nordic countries in Europe can also start downloading their update from the Samsung KIES website.

In the U.S., Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon have already rolled out their Android Lollipop 5.0 updates. However AT&T customers and Galaxy S4 owners across all carriers may have a longer wait ahead of them.

According to AT&T, which has lately gained the reputation of being the last carrier to release Android updates, they are putting the new software through rigorous testing “to avoid any bugs.”

Meanwhile, AT&T customers are still on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat.

AT&T may have a point in the delay. Some bugs have been discovered on the new OS running on the Galaxy series, particularly on S5 and S4 devices. The randomly occurring kink causes the phone and Contact apps to crash and freeze, and the handset to brick until users perform a hard restart.

Other bugs cause the Alarm app to fail intermittently, resulting in complaints from customers who slept through important meetings or woke up late for work.

On the other hand, the delay with the AT&T rollout may prove beneficial in the long run for users who appreciate their devices not crashing or freezing in the middle of a critical phone call or important video conference.

Apple has been so busy lately. Earlier this week, the company has officially launched the iOS 8.2 which is now available for public consumption. However, recent reports indicated that the Cupertino-based tech giant may be already working for yet another update of the mobile OS.

Christian Post Report – For those who missed it, Apple has been rolling out two test versions of the iOS 8.3 exclusively for licensed developers. Now, a report from GSM Arena indicated that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus maker is also releasing the said iOS beta version to the general public.

Providing more details for the said mobile operating system release, the tech review site posted a guide for those non-developers who want to take part in the testing.

Participants must first go to their official Apple Seed website (see link here). For them to join, they have to sign in first to enroll at the beta program, which is free.

Entrants must be able to backup their devices to iTunes. After that, they can download the configuration profile from the Apple Seed site. By doing so, it allows the beta release to show up in their devices’ Software update section.

Rhe new iOS 8.3 beta has been primarily designed with the Apple Watch in mind. As an integral part for the latest iOS 8.2 release, the new OS sees the messaging settings getting a “conversation list filtering” option which can be found in the Messages app.

Users also now have the ability to report unwanted messages from unknown contacts through the “Report Junk” option.

There is good news for those who still cling to their Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus smartphones. The latest tech news indicates that the 2014 device will now be getting Android’s newest Lollipop OS.

Christian Post Report – Sam Mobile reported that the South Korean tech giant has started rolling out the official Android Lollipop update for those users of the Galaxy S5 Plus with model number SM-G901F “in Nordic countries.”

Instead of version 5.0.1 like in most Samsung handheld devices, the S5 Plus will get the more recent 5.0.2 version.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is basically a crossover between the Galaxy S5 and the S5 LTE-A device that is exclusively released for South Korean mobile market. The smartphone in question boasts the latter’s QHD touchscreen and a more capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 while getting the best of the 2014 flagship’s 1080p display resolution as well as its faster LTE data transfer features.

The software update, the site wrote, can be downloaded through Samsung Kies desktop software.

For those waiting for the over-the-air (OTA) rollout, GSM Arena said it will “commence soon too.”

Should the update be successful, the device will now carry the build number G901FXXU1BOC4.

More related Android OS news from Sam Mobile pointed out that other Samsung devices included in the Galaxy lineup like the S4, the S5 and its other variants such as the Note Edge, Note 3 and Note 4 are also getting the attention from the Korean tech manufacturer.

For those owning S5 minis, reports indicated that the devices should be rolled out with the Lollipop update by next quarter.

The latest “Teen Wolf” Season 5 cast news and update reports indicated that cast member Tyler Hoechlin will be leaving the hit supernatural drama series.

Christian Post Report – But this decision doesn’t entirely mean that fans won’t be seeing Derek Hale anymore — the mysterious werewolf won’t be gone for good.

“Tyler Hoechlin decided he wanted more time to pursue movies,” executive producer Jeff Davis informed the media at the PaleyFest held on Wednesday. “We talked and creatively agreed that maybe this was a good season to refocus on the teens of Teen Wolf, and while he won’t be a series regular anymore, I can say that you probably won’t have seen the last of Derek Hale.”

“We love him and miss him,” the showrunner went on to add.

Fans may remember Derek undergoing a drastic transformation last season. With a new set of skills and abilities, the character is really something to look forward to in the upcoming season.

“We did see him go off into the sunset in the last episode, but Derek could be back,” Davis said. “I wouldn’t count him out.”

As for what to expect when Teen Wolf returns to the small screen, Davis went on to say that this season will see the characters “growing.”

“A season of seeing of seeing our teenagers turn into adults and question whether their going to be able to keep their friends. A lot of high schoolers have the fear that when you graduate you move on and you lose your friends. That’s something that happens everywhere I think,” he said.

“Teen Wolf” is slated to air its premiere episode for its brand new fifth season this summer.

Christian Post Report – Is the iPod Touch gone for good? For years, there have been rumors of a sixth-generation iPod Touch, but the device was a no-show last September when the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were announced, and it wasn’t mentioned at last Monday’s Apple Spring Forward Event.

It has been a while since Apple has released a new iPod Touch. The fifth generation device was released back in September 2012, with shipments beginning the following month. The launch marked a significant improvement as the iPod Touch 5 came with a 4-inch Retina display found in the iPhone 5, a faster dual core A5 chip, a 5MP camera and a looped wrist strap.

Though the iPod Touch fifth generation sported major upgrades which sets it apart from its predecessors, the product line saw declining sales in recent years as customers have shifted to smartphones for their media player, camera, and app needs. Given that news about the 6th generation iPod has been scarce as of the recent months, it remains unclear when the device might see its next upgrade. However, there are rumors that the gadget could be released this year, specifically by September, when Apple traditionally launches its latest flagship devices.

If there’s any truth to the rumors, then it’s possible that the iPod Touch 6th Generation could launch alongside the iPhone 7. The device is expected to come in pink, silver, blue, yellow, space grey, orange, green, and red.

According to iTechWhiz, the device could have a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with pixel density count of 440ppi. The iPod Touch 6 will reportedly have an 8-megapixel iSight camera and a 1.5MP front facing shooter.

As for the price, the iPod Touch 6th Generation will reportedly cost the same as what an iPod Touch 5G costs today, which is $299 for the 32GB model and $399 for the 64GB model. Once the iPod Touch 6 is released, it is expected that the iPod Touch 5 will see a marked decrease in price.

Techland and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s “Dying Light” has just released its 1.5 Patch featuring free content and other features.

Christian Post Report – Patch 1.5 has just been made available for “Dying Light,” the horror survival game for Windows, Linus, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 launched last January. The Techland and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment video game update was released March 10 in the U.S. and yesterday in Europe, with the promise of more features to come.

The DLC provides players with free content, Hard Mode for PC versions of the game, Time Trial Mode, dune buggies, and 50 new weapons. Players who finish the story campaign will be rewarded with four new outfits as well.

Polish developer Techland has added new twists and enhancements to the gameplay, improved visuals, new character art, and a new option activating a zombie invasion quest once players disable the co-op.

Fans of the best-selling title will have access to new national outfits, weapon rarity levels with rare Gold level weapons, and experience the new tweaks added to shops, crafting, and loot chests, as well as improved general movement flow in the game.

Paul Milewski, Techland’s PR Manager revealed the developer is currently working on more improvements, saying Version 1.5 has been the result of player feedback.

The zombie apocalypse open world game has allowed players to explore an expansive urban world suffering from an infestation of the living dead. Players in the melee-based title are tasked with scavenging for supplies and crafting weaponry to defend themselves against a growing infected population.

Despite its modest critical review, “Dying Light” has become a massive hit with worldwide audiences since its release in January 2015, breaking the first month sales records in the U.K.

Christian Post Report – LG has announced a new high end device, the LG G4 Note phablet. It will come in the latter half of the year to rival the iPhone 6 Plus and the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

While Apple and Samsung are currently dominating the phablet market, LG may soon be joining in the competition with its own high-end version soon. The South Korean electronics manufacturer has said it will be revealing its new premium handset, the LG G4 Note phablet, that is speculated to be on the level of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and iPhone 6 Plus, by the second half of 2015.

While LG G4 Note may not be the final name choice for the new device, the company has reportedly filed a patent for the name in South Korea last month. Rumors are rampant the upcoming phablet may sport a curved 5.5-inch 3K display with a resolution of 600 ppi, the highest pixel density of any phablet or smartphone in the market today.

Specs run from a 16 megapixel front-facing camera to a 5-megapixel rear camera, switching the usual shooter specifications compared to what is currently the norm for most handheld electronic devices, giving rise to the idea that LG may be planning to heavily market the LG G4 Note phablet’s selfie capabilities.

This isn’t the first time LG has brought phablets into the market. They have previously introduced the Optimus G Pro in 2013 and the G Pro 2 a year later, but dropped the phablet lines when it was apparent the devices were eating up on its main flagship phone sales.

This year, LG looks to be mimicking Samsung’s business model by introducing a device in the first half of the year, then following it with an upgraded version during the second half.

Christian Post Report – Rumors surrounding Apple may point to a new device arriving in the market sooner than expected — the iPad Mini 4.

Less than a year after the iPad Mini 3 was released, there are reports Apple is ready to unveil its successor, the iPad Mini 4. The new arrival to the iPad Mni line is speculated to run on a powerful A8 processor, the same one the iPhone series runs on, as well as feature an 802.11ac connectivity.

The most prevalent of the rumors Apple device users are banking on is the news the iPad Mini 4 may be announced sooner than expected, with a number of tech websites claiming an unveiling may be on the horizon for April.

While logic dictates Apple would have unveiled the iPad Mini 4 at last week’s San Francisco “Spring Forward” event together with the Apple Watch and its new gold Retina MacBook Pro, the media has pointed out the number of times company has launched new devices weeks after an official release, although moves like these have happened few and far between in the last few years.

Motley Fool conjectured that Apple may have been holding back when it launched the iPad Mini 3 last October to keep costs down by not loading the device with a full host of features, while getting the A8 processor ready for the next generation iPad Mini device.

Users expressed major disappointment when the iPad Mini 3 was released using the same A7 processor, 802.11 connectivity, RAM and display as the iPad Mini 2, with only Touch ID and a gold variant in terms of upgrade.

With rumors of the upcoming iPad Mini 4, there have been conjectures its specs may live up to the iPad Air 3.

The iPad Mini 4 may be unveiled by April and released on the market by September or October this year.

Christian Post Report – Gia Giudice is coming to her family’s defense as the 14-year-old recently took to social media to deny rumors that her dad Joe is cheating on her mom Teresa while she’s in prison. On Wednesday, the aspiring singer took to Twitter with a message about the rumors.

“Honestly hilarious how people go out of their way to make my family look bad…#nicetryppl,” she wrote.

Gia followed it up by posting a quote about relationships.

“There’s a reason why people stay together. They give each other something nobody else can,” the teen wrote.

Last week, InTouch claimed that Joe allegedly had an extramarital affair with a woman named Jamie Jackson just weeks before his wife turned himself in. However, an insider told E! News that “100 percent, nothing happened between the two.”

“Joe was in Atlantic City for a meeting about getting a wine that he’s involved with into one of the casinos. He was also there to discuss a potential appearance with Teresa for later that month before she surrendered,” the source added.

E! News reports that the woman in question turned out to be a model hired by the wine company to do promotional work. As for the photo of Joe and Jamie, the source explains that it was taken during a “business meeting that turned into lunch” where they were joined by other people.

Joe gave a statement to Us Weekly completely denying the accusation.

“I did not flirt with her … nothing happened between us. Everything In Touch is saying that happened between us is a lie,” he said.

Clearly, Gia has had enough of the rumors as she tweeted on Thursday, “I need a break from all this…a new beginning.”

It was earlier reported that Gia has been helping her father take care of her younger sister since Teresa reported to Danbury prison in Jan. 5. Though she is behind bars, Teresa has made it a point to get in touch with her eldest daughter.

“Emails at night from my mom make me so happy,” Gia wrote earlier this month.

Teresa is expected to be released from jail by March 2016.
