There are many reasons a staff member may announce their resignation. There are an equal amount of questions as to how long the staff member should stay after they announce their resignation. Thom and Sam discuss this important question and share their thoughts about how to approach this situation.

Highlights:

  • It depends.
  • Retirements are usually different than resignations.
  • The reason for the departure is a big factor.
  • Resources for the interim period are factors as well.
  • Moral failure calls for immediate departure.

PODCAST: Manage Your Time, Part 15 of Step 11 (Get Things Done #89 with Daniel Whyte III)

I am Daniel Whyte III, president of GLM Omnimedia Group, and this is Episode #89 of the “Get Things Done!” podcast. The simple purpose of this podcast is to help you get things done every day so that you can accomplish something worthwhile with your life. I am a firm believer that God has put each person on earth to do something great for His glory.

In this podcast, we are going through the book “Doing It Now” by Edwin C. Bliss. I had just finished speaking at a meeting in Philadelphia many years ago, and as I was walking through the airport, I picked up this little book and read it in its entirety. It is one of the best books that I have ever read on the subject of productivity, getting things done, and avoiding procrastination, and along with prayer and the power of God, it is one of the reasons why I have accomplished so much in my life. Today, I will continue sharing with you some of the principles that Edwin C. Bliss talks about in his book.

As we begin, let me give you this reminder from the Word of God. James 4:17 says: “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.”

Our quote for today is from Henry Miller. He said: “Life, as it is called, is for most of us one long postponement.”

Today, in the Get Things Done podcast we are looking at Part 15 of Step 11: “Manage Your Time.”

The ninth item on your list was “rehashing.” What is rehashing, and why should it be avoided?

I use that term to describe the tendency to dwell in the past, reliving experiences that are over and done with, re-thinking decisions that have already been acted on, wasting time and energy in either reminiscence or regret.

Everyone does a certain amount of this, of course, but some people become virtual captives of the past. Some continually bemoan the mistakes or misfortunes of days gone by, living lives of frustration and resentment; others focus on past victories and achievements, replaying the mental tapes of yesterday’s applause. In either case, today’s opportunities and challenges are ignored. The results are passivity, procrastination, and inaction. One of the greatest mistakes we can make is to concern ourselves too much with what was and what might have been, instead of what is and what can be.

Banish the past. Put those mental tapes away until you’re in your nineties, when there’ll be time enough for reminiscence. Meanwhile, you have a future to be concerned about, and that future will be shaped for better or worse by what you do—or fail to do—today.

Make today count!

Lord willing, we will continue this discussion in our next podcast.

– – – – – – – – –

Now, let’s pray our prayer together —

Almighty and most merciful Father; We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against Thy holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; And we have done those things which we ought not to have done; And there is no health in us. But Thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare Thou those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore Thou those who are penitent; According to Thy promises declared unto mankind In Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for His sake; That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life, To the glory of thy holy Name. Amen.

Now, the greatest secret to getting things done with your life for the glory of God is to have the Lord Jesus Christ in your life. When you have Jesus in your life, you can say with Paul in Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” If you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, here’s how.

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 10:28: “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now this is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.

Romans 10:9-13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

God bless you, and remember: if you have something to do, there is no better time to do it than now.

PODCAST: Praying Men at a Premium, Part 6 (Prayer Motivator Devotional #769 with Daniel Whyte III)

Welcome to the Prayer Motivator Devotional Broadcast #769. This is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International. The simple purpose of this podcast is to encourage you, exhort you, and motivate you to Just Pray. This podcast is not necessarily for people who already know the secret and power of prayer and who actually practice genuine prayer on a regular basis, rather it is for those who may find it difficult to pray or for people who claim they do not have time to pray. I am convinced that most Christian people do not need to learn how to pray; they need to Just Pray! If I can get you to just pray, all sorts of wonderful things will begin to happen for you, your family, and whatever God has called you to do. We do not pray based upon our subjective feelings, we pray based upon objective facts in the Word of God.

Our prayer motivator passage from the Word of God today is Matthew 6:12 which reads: “And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”

Allow me to share with you some more important points regarding this passage from Matthew Henry’s Commentary:

5. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, (2.) An argument to enforce this petition; as we forgive our debtors. This is not a plea of merit, but a plea of grace. Note, Those that come to God for the forgiveness of their sins against him, must make conscience of forgiving those who have offended them, else they curse themselves when they say the Lord’s prayer. Our duty is to forgive our debtors; as to debts of money, we must not be rigorous and severe in exacting them from those that cannot pay them without ruining themselves and their families; but this means debt of injury; our debtors are those that trespass against us, that smite us (ch. 5:39, ch. 5:40 ), and in strictness of law, might be prosecuted for it; we must forbear, and forgive, and forget the affronts put upon us, and the wrongs done us; and this is a moral qualification for pardon and peace; it encourages to hope, that God will forgive us; for if there be in us this gracious disposition, it is wrought of God, and therefore is a perfection eminently and transcendently in himself; it will be an evidence to us that he has forgiven us, having wrought in us the condition of forgiveness.

My personal encouragement for you today is this: Many people do not like to pray because prayer to God will convict you to get sin out of your life. In order to effectively get through to God in prayer, we must be willing to confess and repent of our sins and allow God to create within us a clean heart so that He will not only hear us but answer us.

Our prayer motivator devotional today is titled “PRAYING MEN AT A PREMIUM” part 6 from the book, “The Weapon of Prayer” by E.M. Bounds.

E.M. Bounds goes on to say:

Jesus was preeminently a leader in prayer, and His praying is an incentive to prayer. How prominently prayer stands out in His life! The leading events of His earthly career are distinctly marked by prayer. The wonderful experience and glory of the Transfiguration was preceded by prayer, and was the result of the praying of our Lord. What words He used as He prayed we know not, nor do we know for what He prayed. But doubtless it was night, and long into its hours the Master prayed. It was while He prayed the darkness fled, and His form was lit with unearthly splendour. Moses and Elijah came to yield to Him not only the palm of law and prophecy, but the palm of praying. None other prayed as did Jesus nor had any such a glorious manifestation of the divine presence or heard so clearly the revealing voice of the Father, “This is my beloved Son; hear ye him.” Happy disciples to be with Christ in the school of prayer!

How many of us have failed to come to this glorious Mount of Transfiguration because we were unacquainted with the transfiguring power of prayer! It is the going apart to pray, the long, intense seasons of prayer, in which we engage which makes the face to shine, transfigures the character, makes even dull, earthly garments to glisten with heavenly splendour. But more than this: it is real praying which makes eternal things real, close and tangible, and which brings the glorified visitors and the heavenly visions. Transfigured lives would not be so rare if there were more of this transfigured praying. These heavenly visits would not be so few if there was more of this transfigured praying.

How difficult it appears to be for the Church to understand that the whole scheme of redemption depends upon men of prayer! The work of our Lord, while here on the earth, as well of the Apostle Paul was, by teaching and example, to develop men of prayer, to whom the future of the Church should be committed. How strange that instead of learning this simple and all important lesson, the modern Church has largely overlooked it! We have need to turn afresh to that wondrous Leader of spiritual Israel, our Lord Jesus Christ, who by example and precept enjoins us to prayer and to the great Apostle to the Gentiles, who by virtue of his praying habits and prayer lessons is a model and an example to God’s people in every age and clime.

Now, friend, it is time for us to pray…

Remember, the announcer will provide the information for you to send in your prayer request at the end of this broadcast.

Please join me in prayer……..

We pray collectively and individually for the following:
> 3 million people to come to know you as Saviour
> the revival of the church
> the healing of families
> the healing of this nation
> blessings and guidance for all pastors, church leaders, and missionaries
> Salvation, leadership, and wisdom for the president and for all governmental officials who run this country and all other countries.

Now, Lord, we pray for three people who have sent in prayer requests:

Name: Rose
Please restore Dickson’s eyesight and bless his restoration surgery this month with a successful outcome

Name: Adele
Please bring divine peace and love in her family

Name: Vicki
Please heal Lynn, give her peace and give the doctors wisdom; heal Henry of a brain tumor and heal his wife from a stroke, save them both

—-

Holy Father God, we pray for the following people who have accepted you into their hearts. We pray, Lord, that you would confirm them in the faith and have them grow in the faith to become the Holy Spirit-filled Christians that you want them to be. We pray specifically for —-

Ezekiel
Jairo
Ebisibah

Now, Lord we pray for the following people who have been saved for a while but who have recommitted their lives to You. We rejoice with them in this decision and pray that they will keep their commitments to you and be strengthened in the faith. We pray specifically for —-

Arup
Shamar
Linda

Now, if you are listening today, and you do not know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour, allow me to show you how.

Until next time,

Remember, friend, Pray, Think, Do! God Bless You!

In Shock Move, Bob Iger Steps Down as Disney CEO; Bob Chapek Named Successor

In a stunning move that marks the end of an era for one of the entertainment industry’s great corporate success stories, Bob Iger on Tuesday stepped down as chief executive of Walt Disney Co. after 15 years in the job.

Bob Chapek, a 27-year Disney veteran who most recently led the company’s massively important parks and consumer products business, was named Iger’s successor, effective immediately.

Iger, 69, has assumed the role of executive chairman, the company said. In that role, he will direct the Burbank entertainment giant’s creative endeavors and help guide the company’s board through the leadership transition until the end of his contract on Dec. 31, 2021, Disney said in a statement.

Disney’s CEO succession plan was the subject of speculation for years as Iger delayed plans to leave the company. Disney’s board last extended Iger’s contract in December 2017, when Disney announced that it was buying much of 21st Century Fox from Rupert Murdoch. As part of those negotiations, Murdoch requested that Iger stay on to run the company rather than leave when he’d planned.

Chapek, 60, was one of several top Disney executives who were potential successors, including Disney direct-to-consumer chairman Kevin Mayer, who recently oversaw the successful launch of streaming service Disney+. Former Fox TV executive Peter Rice, who is now chairman of Disney Television and co-chair of Disney Media Networks, was also thought to be a possible contender for the top job.

Nonetheless, the timing of the announcement surprised many in the industry because Iger still has 22 months left on his contract and he has relished his role as one of America’s most successful CEOs. Iger last year published a book detailing his rise through the entertainment industry and his time building Disney through key acquisitions, including those of Pixar, Marvel and, most recently, 21st Century Fox.

In a conference call with analysts, Iger explained the sudden move by saying he wanted to allow Chapek time to get a handle on all aspects of the company before he steps away for good. In the last 12 months, Disney has become an even bigger behemoth with the $71.3-billion purchase of the Fox assets, as well as the high-profile debut of Disney+, which is Disney’s all-in bet on subscription video services.

The Fox deal gave Disney additional weapons for its streaming arsenal, including a majority stake in Hulu, “The Simpsons,” FX Networks and a library of films including “Avatar” and “The Sound of Music.”

Iger said he wanted to free himself up to focus on creative aspects of the business.

“I felt that with the asset base in place and with the strategy essentially deployed, that I should be spending as much time as possible on the creative side of our businesses,” Iger said. “I could not do that if I were running the company on a day-to-day basis.”

By naming Chapek to the CEO role immediately, Disney’s board avoids a repeat of the messy situation that unfolded four years ago when Iger’s apparent successor, Thomas Staggs, exited after serving as chief operating officer. The question of corporate succession had dogged Iger’s predecessor, Michael Eisner, who resigned in 2005 after a fierce battle with with former director Roy E. Disney.

Iger, who was Eisner’s hand-picked successor, was praised by his old boss in a tweet Tuesday. “Fantastic job protecting the #Disney brand, expanding the breadth of the overall company, and orchestrating super growth.”

Iger told investors that the board had identified Chapek as a likely candidate to succeed him “some time ago” and his goal was to create “the smoothest possible transition.”

But some company insiders and industry analysts were taken aback by the news.

“Why is the CEO changing today?” asked Laura Martin, a media industry analyst at Needham & Co. “What is the urgency?”

Some on Wall Street had anticipated Mayer would get the coveted job, given the importance of streaming to Disney’s future.

“The market had no warning,” said Richard Greenfield, partner of Lightshed Partners. “The big question remains: What happens with Kevin Mayer? … It was Kevin Mayer’s job to lose.”

Disney’s stock dropped about 3% in after-hours trading on Wall Street after Chapek’s appointment was announced. In regular trading on Tuesday, Disney shares fell $4.82, or 3.6%, to $128.19.

Iger, who cut his teeth in TV as a weatherman and reporter, joined ABC in 1974. He arrived at Disney when the company swallowed Capital Cities/ABC Inc. in 1996, and was promoted to Eisner’s second in command in 2000.

He is leaving on a high note. Disney’s movie studio is coming off its biggest box office year ever, with megahits including Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame,” Pixar’s “Toy Story 4″ and live-action remakes of “The Lion King” and “Aladdin.”

Gunman Killed by Police During Incident at California Catholic Church

An armed man who entered a Southern California church in between Masses died on Sunday after an officer-involved shooting, the authorities said.

The episode happened at about 4:15 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Santa Ana, Calif., according to a police spokesman, who said that officers had been responding to two unrelated calls in the immediate vicinity when witnesses reported that an armed man went inside the building.

The spokesman for the Santa Ana Police Department, Cpl. Anthony Bertagna, said the authorities did not know if the man was killed by the police, or if he fatally shot himself. The authorities previously said they believed the man was shot by an officer in the church.

Corporal Bertagna was not able to say whether the man fired his weapon at the officer or how many shots were fired by the officer.

“This individual is believed to have been distraught over some family issues and was potentially inside the church to do harm to himself,” Corporal Bertagna said. “We got extremely lucky in the fact that this was between Masses.”

Corporal Bertagna said there were about 15 people inside the church, none of whom were harmed. He said the man fled from the church and collapsed in the street about 100 yards from the building, where he was pronounced dead.

Chief David Valentin of the Santa Ana Police told reporters that, based on the initial investigation, “this was not a mass casualty-intended incident.”

Daniel Whyte III Preaches and Adapts Part 3 of an Article Written for a Magazine That He Owns Called the Torch (Now Called the Torch Leader) by His Deceased Younger Brother Mark Anthony White on the Day of His Homegoing Service Perfectly Titled “The Next Level”

TEXT: Hebrews 11:6

6 For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

TEXT: Romans 5:1-5

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

———-

My Younger Brother Mark Anthony White Has Gone to ‘the Next Level’ and was Laid to Rest on Saturday, February 29. Please Pray for His Family. Today I am continuing to preach an Article That He Wrote for One of Our Other Publications ‘The Torch’ (Now Called ‘The Torch Leader’) Some Years Ago Titled ‘The Next Level.’ Out of my immediate family, Outside of My Father Bishop Daniel White Jr., the Mark Anthony White That I Remember, Who We Called Tony, Was the Most Sincere About His Christian Faith, and He is Now in That Most Beautiful Place Called Heaven and His Days of Pain, Heartache, and Sickness Are All Gone. Please Pray for His five Children That He Left Behind, Tsciena White, Danari White, Talia White, Salomé White, and Mark White Jr.

In the first part of this message, we saw that “without faith it is impossible to please God”. We must know in our heart that our heavenly Father is all that Scripture says He is. And further, by knowing these things, we rest in the assurance that our Lord always has our best interest at heart.

In the second part of this message we looked at the trials and tribulations that God allows us to go through so that we reach maturity in our Christian life. We reach this maturity by depending on God. “God uses each tribulation to enhance our knowledge base so that when the next challenge comes along we have a genuine confidence, not based on some pretense of clairvoyance, but one solely based on our Father’s impeccable track record.”

EXPECTING GOD’S BEST

The Lord preserves us as we face painful ordeals, as we faithfully reside in Him. This preservation plants within us an earnest expectation that all shall be well for us because we and our world are in His hands. Because He said that He would be with us, because He’s never let us down, we honour Him for His faithfulness by steadily anticipating His conclusion to the matters of our lives. Romans 5:5a states that, if we persevere, our Lord will not “leave us hanging.” We will not be fools for having trusted Him. After all, He will be to us what He is: faithful and true. As a result, we learn to look for the good that God has for us in the midst of a desperate situation. We look for His good, and in His time, we obtain it.

THE PURPOSE OF THE PROCESS

Certainly, God walks (or carries) us through this process to develop us into what He created us to be for His glory. But there’s an additional purpose to all of this, and it typifies His loving heart. You see, God uses our refined selves to further impact this world with His love. Indeed, He uses our tribulation to give us a divinely-inspired compassion for others. Second Corinthians 1:4 describes God as the One “Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” Our Lord creates within us the ability to lovingly empathize with others. This type of caring is not limited to the “There, but for the grace of God, go I” school of thought. But it is based on unselfish motivations that incline us to seek to relieve others of burdens that we may very well never have.

Romans 12:15 says, “Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.”

It is true that God is steadily molding our natural selfish selves into more perfect servants. You may recall that after all Job had suffered, it was after he displayed a servant’s attitude and prayed for his fickle friends, when God greatly blessed him with more than he ever had. Despite his humanity, Job trusted God. This is the enduring trust that takes us to a higher level and closer to His likeness.

——-

My Brother Mark Anthony White and My Father Bishop Daniel White Jr. Are Now in Heaven and Would Like for Me to Tell You How to Get There.

Jesus Christ said in Matthew 18:8: “Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now that is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.

Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your Salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and today I choose to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and I choose to follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! For more information to help you grow in your newfound faith in Christ, go to Gospel Light Society.com and read “What To Do After You Enter Through the Door”. Jesus Christ said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

If you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior today, please email me at [email protected] and let us know. There is some free material that we want to send you. If you have a prayer request, please e-mail that to us as well, and we will pray for you until you tell us to stop.

God loves you. We love you. And may God bless you.

Andrew Brunson Says Following Christ in the U.S. Will Soon Come at Personal Risk as Country Becomes ‘Increasingly Hostile’ to Christianity

American pastor Andrew Brunson, who was imprisoned for his faith in Turkey for two years, warned that being a Christian in the U.S. may soon come with great personal risk as the culture becomes increasingly “hostile” to believers.

“There is a price to following Jesus,” said Brunson told hundreds gathered at the National Religious Broadcasters Christian Media Convention in Nashville, Tennessee, last week. “There is a price in other countries. We hear about that. But increasingly, I think that there will be a price to be paid here.”

According to Brunson, the “media, political, the business classes, most of academia are becoming increasingly hostile to those who identify publicly with Jesus Christ and with His teaching.”

“I feel a sense of urgency in my heart for this generation in my country,” the pastor stressed. “I feel it especially for my children’s generation that they’re not prepared to stand. I’m not sure that everyone in this room is ready to stand for Jesus without apology.”

“We need to prepare ourselves now. We need to make decisions now about our commitment to Jesus because otherwise, the natural tendency when difficulty comes is to fear. And when we’re afraid, the natural instinct is to run away, is to compromise.”

“It is normal to be afraid,” he added. “The issue is, will you stand in spite of your fear? Will you remain faithful? In the end, people are going to pay a price for the sake of the Gospel. Overseas, yes, but also here … there is a cost to following Jesus.”

Brunson, a Christian missionary who lived in Turkey for more than 20 years, was taken into custody by Turkish officials along with his wife, Norine, in October 2016.

Norine was released soon after, but Brunson was thrown in prison, accused of plotting to overthrow Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government. Following two years in detention, Brunson was released last October after the Trump administration imposed sanctions on the country.

California Would Ban Boys’ and Girls’ Toy, Clothing Sections under New Bill

California Would Ban Boys’ and Girls’ Toy, Clothing Sections under New Bill

A new bill in the California state assembly would ban stores from separating their toys, clothing and childcare items into boys’ and girls’ sections and would fine them $1,000 if they did so.

The bill, sponsored by Democratic Assemblymember Evan Low (Silicon Valley), says each “retail department store shall maintain one, undivided area of its sales floor where, if it sells toys, all toys, regardless of whether a particular item has traditionally been marketed for either girls or for boys, shall be displayed.”

The bill, AB2826, includes similar language for clothing and “childcare articles” such as pacifiers. It would apply only to retail chains with 500 or more employees, with each violation costing $1,000.

A legislative counsel’s digest accompanying the bill makes clear its intent.

“This bill would require a retail department store … to maintain undivided areas of its sales floor where, if it sells childcare articles, children’s clothing, or toys, all childcare items, all clothing for children, or all toys, regardless of whether a particular item has traditionally been marketed for either girls or for boys, shall be displayed,” the digest says.

A press release from Low’s office said children should not feel “stigmatized for wearing a dinosaur shirt or playing with a Barbie doll.”…

Here We Go: Wisconsin High School Closes Gender-Neutral Bathroom After Sexual Assault

A Wisconsin high school has closed its gender-neutral bathroom after an 18-year-old student was arrested for fourth-degree sexual assault, child enticement and exposing his genitals to a child inside the facility.

Austin Sauer, a student at Rhinelander High School, was arrested last week, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office, WSAW-TV reported.

As per Wisconsin law, a fourth-degree sexual assault involves non-penetrative sexual contact with a person without his or her consent.

Media reports have not identified the sex of the minor victim, but the child is likely a girl.

Captain Terri Hook from the Sheriff’s office said that the gender-neutral bathroom has now been closed, and that the school hadn’t sent a message to parents because it was an isolated incident and the student had been removed from the school.

The sheriff’s office also said that the accused had not been charged, and the investigation was still underway.

In 2017, the conservative Family Research Council compiled a list of 21 incidents of men assaulting or violating women’s privacy in public bathrooms. The group warned that nondiscrimination laws that allow people to go into bathrooms based on their gender identity, rather than their birth sex, are giving sexual predators the opportunity to exploit the circumstances and commit voyeurism and sexual assault.
