Rapper Pop Smoke Dead After Being Shot in the Hollywood Hills

Pop Smoke, a rising New York rapper, was fatally shot in a home in the Hollywood Hills early Wednesday, law enforcement sources confirmed.

Officers responded after someone calling from the East Coast reported that several people, at least one of whom wore a black mask and was armed with a handgun, had entered their friend’s home in Los Angeles shortly before 5 a.m., said LAPD Capt. Steve Lurie.

When officers arrived at the $2.5-million home in the 2000 block of Hercules Drive, they found the 20-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officers detained several people inside the house, but they were later released. Two to six suspects fled the scene and had not been found, Lurie said.

Investigators think the home where the rapper was staying was likely targeted by the assailants. In recent years, several home invasions in Los Angeles have been aimed at homes being rented by musicians, according to law enforcement sources.

Photos and videos on Pop Smoke’s Instagram story showed him in L.A., getting a haircut on Tuesday, and posing by the infinity pool in the backyard of the Hollywood Hills home where he was staying. Later that evening, he posted a photo of the Los Angeles skyline from what appeared to be the home’s backyard.

The Hollywood Hills home is owned by Teddi Mellencamp of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” and her husband, Edwin Arroyave, according to property records. Mellencamp wrote on Instagram that she was informed about the shooting early Wednesday by a third-party leasing and management company that oversees the rental property.

“Foremost, we would like to extend our prayers and condolences to the family and loved ones affected by this tragic loss of life,” she wrote.

The rapper’s death came days after his second mixtape, “Meet the Woo 2,” landed at No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200 list. His breakthrough mixtape, “Meet the Woo,” released last year, has 280 million streams globally.

Pop Smoke was signed to Republic Records through Victor Victor Worldwide, according to the label.

“We are devastated by the unexpected and tragic loss of Pop Smoke,” said a Republic Records spokesperson. “Our prayers and thoughts go out to his family, friends and fans, as we mourn this loss together.”

Christian Professor Must Use Student’s Transgender Pronouns, Judge Rules

Christian Professor Must Use Student’s Transgender Pronouns, Judge Rules

A federal judge last week ruled that a Christian professor was properly disciplined by an Ohio university when he refused to use the preferred pronouns of a biological male student who identifies as female.

Nicholas Meriwether, a philosophy professor at Shawnee State University in Ohio, filed suit in 2018 after the university placed a written warning in his personnel file for not calling a biological male student “Miss” and “she” – the student’s preferred title and pronoun.

“His speech – the manner by which he addressed a transgender student – was not protected under the First Amendment,” U.S. District Judge Susan J. Dlott wrote in a three-page opinion, accepting the recommendation of a magistrate to dismiss the case.

Meriwether, who is a professing evangelical Christian, argued in his initial complaint that calling a biological male “Miss” would violate his “sincerely held religious beliefs” that “God created human beings as either male or female” and that “gender is fixed.”

Meriwether often uses titles such as “Mr.” and “Miss” and phrases like “yes, sir” and “yes, ma’am” in class, believing it benefits dialogue and shows respect.

He was willing to use the student’s first or last name, but the student opposed this compromise and filed a complaint with the university.

The controversy began in January 2018 when Meriwether…

PODCAST: Whyte House Family Devotional Reading of Charles Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening #33 (with Daniel Whyte III)

This is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International with the Whyte House Family Devotional Reading of Charles Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening podcast. This is Episode #33.

Charles Spurgeon was a prominent English Particular Baptist preacher. He was very influential among the Christians of various denominations during his age and even today, and is commonly called the “Prince of Preachers”. After some time of alternately searching for God and running from God, he had a powerful encounter which led him to give his life to Christ. Spurgeon was only 16 when he preached his first sermon and he began publishing books shortly afterward. At the time of his death, he had preached nearly 3,600 sermons and published 49 volumes of commentaries, sayings, anecdotes, illustrations and devotions. Spurgeon said, “encouraging thoughts are like honey to the heart”, and wrote this devotional in hopes that its uplifting messages for each day of the year would bring comfort and refreshment to our walk with God. He was inspired by Isaiah 50:4 which reads, “He wakeneth morning by morning. He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned” and Psalm 63:5-6 which says, “My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips; when I remember Thee upon my bed, and meditate on Thee in the night watches.”

Revelation 14:1 reads: “And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.”

The apostle John was privileged to look within the gates of heaven, and in describing what he saw, he begins by saying, “I looked, and, lo, a Lamb!” This teaches us that the chief object of contemplation in the heavenly state is “the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world.” Nothing else attracted the apostle’s attention so much as the person of that Divine Being, who hath redeemed us by his blood. He is the theme of the songs of all glorified spirits and holy angels. Christian, here is joy for thee; thou hast looked, and thou hast seen the Lamb. Through thy tears thine eyes have seen the Lamb of God taking away thy sins. Rejoice, then. In a little while, when thine eyes shall have been wiped from tears, thou wilt see the same Lamb exalted on his throne. It is the joy of thy heart to hold daily fellowship with Jesus; thou shalt have the same joy to a higher degree in heaven; thou shalt enjoy the constant vision of his presence; thou shalt dwell with him forever. “I looked, and, lo, a Lamb!” Why, that Lamb is heaven itself; for as good Rutherford says, “Heaven and Christ are the same thing;” to be with Christ is to be in heaven, and to be in heaven is to be with Christ. That prisoner of the Lord very sweetly writes in one of his glowing letters—“O my Lord Jesus Christ, if I could be in heaven without thee, it would be a hell; and if I could be in hell, and have thee still, it would be a heaven to me, for thou art all the heaven I want.” It is true, is it not, Christian? Does not thy soul say so?

“Not all the harps above
Can make a heavenly place,
If God his residence remove,
Or but conceal his face.”

All thou needest to make thee blessed, supremely blessed, is “to be with Christ.”

PRAY.

Thank you for listening to the Morning and Evening podcast. If you do not know the Lord as your Savior, here is how you can be saved from Hell and walk with the Lord morning and evening until you go to that wonderful place called Heaven when you die:

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Third, accept the fact that you are on the road to hell. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 18:8: “Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.” Also, the Bible states in Revelation 21:8: “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

Now that is bad news, but here’s the good news. Jesus Christ said in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Just believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead by the power of God for you so that you can live eternally with Him. Pray and ask Him to come into your heart today, and He will.

Romans 10:9 & 13 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved… For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

If you believe that Jesus Christ died on the Cross for your sins, was buried, and rose from the dead, and you want to trust Him for your Salvation today, please pray with me this simple prayer: Holy Father God, I realize that I am a sinner and that I have done some bad things in my life. I am sorry for my sins, and today I choose to turn from my sins. For Jesus Christ sake, please forgive me of my sins. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus Christ died for me, was buried, and rose again. I trust Jesus Christ as my Savior and I choose to follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Lord Jesus, please come into my heart and save my soul and change my life today. Amen.

If you believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried, and rose again, allow me to say, congratulations on doing the most important thing in life and that is accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour! For more information to help you grow in your newfound faith in Christ, go to Gospel Light Society.com and read “What To Do After You Enter Through the Door”. Jesus Christ said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”

If you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior today, please email me at [email protected] and let us know. There is some free material that we want to send you. If you have a prayer request, please e-mail that to us as well, and we will pray for you until you tell us to stop.

God loves you. We love you. And may God bless you.

Beth Moore Urges SBC to Stop ‘Infighting’ over Women Preachers

Beth Moore Urges SBC to Stop ‘Infighting’ over Women Preachers

As the Southern Baptist Convention continues its infighting over women preachers, popular author and speaker Beth Moore stepped into the fray to encourage peace.

“There are no women trying to take over SBC pulpits, least of all me. It’s a straw woman. One woman speaking on Mother’s Day 2019 does not a takeover make. PEACE,” she tweeted, as The Christian Post reports.

“This infighting over women preaching in the SBC is a distraction & an enormous waste of energy. Be honest about what these fights are over. Perhaps my memory fails me in old age but I thought we were gospel people, all sent out to share the good news of salvation through Christ,” she continued.

Much of the controversy was sparked earlier last year when Beth Moore preached during a Sunday morning service at an SBC church.

In her most recent tweets, Moore emphasized the role that women can play in the church and encouraged them to keep going. “I will indeed speak occasionally in services on Sundays when asked by a church, depending upon the occasion & pastor’s request. If that’s a…

PODCAST: Whyte House Daily Devotional Bible Reading Episode #84: Leviticus 25, Psalm 142, and Acts 10 (with Daniel Whyte III)

This is Daniel Whyte III, president of Gospel Light Society International with the Whyte House Daily Devotional Bible Reading Episode #84. Where I read three chapters of the Holy Bible in the King James Version a day with my family as a part of our family devotions, to encourage you to read the Holy Bible in a year’s time. We are using a modified version of the Five Day Bible Reading Plan. It is modified because we read the Bible everyday and not just five days a week. The benefit of using the Five Day Bible Reading Plan is: you can read the entire Bible in a chronological reading plan that helps the Bible make sense. Today we are reading Leviticus 25, Psalm 142 and Acts 10.

John Quincy Adams said, “I speak as a man of the world to men of the world; and I say to you, Search the Scriptures! The Bible is the book of all others, to be read at all ages, and in all conditions of human life; not to be read once or twice or thrice through, and then laid aside, but to be read in small portions of one or two chapters every day, and never to be intermitted, unless by some overruling necessity.”

Someone said, “Reading the Bible without meditating on it is like trying to eat without swallowing.”

Leviticus 25
1 And the Lord spake unto Mo’-ses in mount Si’-nai, saying,

2 Speak unto the children of Is’-ra-el, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.

3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;

4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.

5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.

6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee.

7 And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.

8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.

9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the ju’-bi-le to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.

10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a ju’-bi-le unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

11 A ju’-bi-le shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.

12 For it is the ju’-bi-le; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

13 In the year of this ju’-bi-le ye shall return every man unto his possession.

14 And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour’s hand, ye shall not oppress one another:

15 According to the number of years after the ju’-bi-le thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:

16 According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.

17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:for I am the Lord your God.

18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.

19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.

20 And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:

21 Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

22 And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.

23 The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.

24 And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.

25 If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.

26 And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;

27 Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.

28 But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of ju’-bi-le: and in the ju’-bi-le it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.

29 And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.

30 And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the ju’-bi-le.

31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the ju’-bi-le.

32 Notwithstanding the cities of the Le’-vites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Le’-vites redeem at any time.

33 And if a man purchase of the Le’-vites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of ju’-bi-le: for the houses of the cities of the Le’-vites are their possession among the children of Is’-ra-el.

34 But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.

35 And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.

36 Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.

37 Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.

38 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of E’-gypt, to give you the land of Ca’-na-an, and to be your God.

39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:

40 But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of ju’-bi-le.

41 And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.

42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of E’-gypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.

43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.

44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.

45 Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.

46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Is’-ra-el, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.

47 And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger’s family:

48 After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:

49 Either his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.

50 And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of ju’-bi-le: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.

51 If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.

52 And if there remain but few years unto the year of ju’-bi-le, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.

53 And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.

54 And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of ju’-bi-le, both he, and his children with him.

55 For unto me the children of Is’-ra-el are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of E’-gypt: I am the Lord your God.

Psalm 142
Mas’-chil of Da-vid. ; A Prayer when he was in the cave.
1 I cried unto the Lord with my voice; with my voice unto the Lord did I make my supplication.

2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

Acts 10
1 There was a certain man in Cae-sa-re’-a called Cor-ne’-li-us, a centurion of the band called the I-tal’-ian band,

2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.

3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cor-ne’-li-us.

4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.

5 And now send men to Jop’-pa, and call for one Si’-mon, whose surname is Pe’-ter:

6 He lodgeth with one Si’-mon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.

7 And when the angel which spake unto Cor-ne’-li-us was departed, he called two of his household servants, and a devout soldier of them that waited on him continually;

8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Jop’-pa.

9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Pe’-ter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Pe’-ter; kill, and eat.

14 But Pe’-ter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.

15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.

16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

17 Now while Pe’-ter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cor-ne’-li-us had made enquiry for Si’-mon’s house, and stood before the gate,

18 And called, and asked whether Si’-mon, which was surnamed Pe’-ter, were lodged there.

19 While Pe’-ter thought on the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold, three men seek thee.

20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: for I have sent them.

21 Then Pe’-ter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cor-ne’-li-us; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?

22 And they said, Cor-ne’-li-us the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.

23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Pe’-ter went away with them, and certain brethren from Jop’-pa accompanied him.

24 And the morrow after they entered into Cae-sa-re’-a. And Cor-ne’-li-us waited for them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends.

25 And as Pe’-ter was coming in, Cor-ne’-li-us met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.

26 But Pe’-ter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.

27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.

28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.

29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?

30 And Cor-ne’-li-us said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,

31 And said, Cor-ne’-li-us, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

32 Send therefore to Jop’-pa, and call hither Si’-mon, whose surname is Pe’-ter; he is lodged in the house of one Si’-mon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

33 Immediately therefore I sent to thee; and thou hast well done that thou art come. Now therefore are we all here present before God, to hear all things that are commanded thee of God.

34 Then Pe’-ter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

35 But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

36 The word which God sent unto the children of Is’-ra-el, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)

37 That word, I say, ye know, which was published throughout all Ju-dae’-a, and began from Gal’-i-lee, after the baptism which John preached;

38 How God anointed Jesus of Naz’-a-reth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Je-ru’-sa-lem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Pe’-ter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Pe’-ter, because that on the Gen’-tiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Pe’-ter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

When I was a teenager I wanted to get wisdom and knowledge, so I set out the read the big family Bible that many families had in those days. But I couldn’t get past Genesis 2 before I got bored with reading the Bible. I found out later in life that you have to believe on Christ and get saved before you can understand the Bible. So here is how I became a Christian and how you can too:

First, accept the fact that you are a sinner, and that you have broken God’s law. The Bible says in Romans 3:23: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”

Second, accept the fact that there is a penalty for sin. The Bible states in Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death…”

Abortionist Says Repeat Patients Are a ‘Huge Compliment’; Makes His Day to See Them Again

Abortionist Says Repeat Patients Are a ‘Huge Compliment’; Makes His Day to See Them Again

A family physician who specializes in abortions created a frenzy on Twitter after he said having returning abortion patients is “a huge compliment” and that seeing them again “makes my day.”

As Faithwire reported, Dr. Joe Nelson, who describes himself as “your friendly neighborhood abortion provider,” stirred up debate on Twitter last week when he wrote, “Every single day, I see patients who I’ve seen before for abortion services but end up with another undesired pregnancy. When they come back, they are often quite embarrassed to be in that position again and are worried we might be judging them. We don’t.

“In fact, as a family physician who does exclusively abortion work now,” he continued, “It makes my day to see a familiar face. Those of us who do this work understand that this can happen to anyone at any time, and we take it as a huge compliment if you trust us with your care again.”

Nelson’s initial tweets attracted attention from pro-life Twitter users, many of them questioning how or why the doctor would be happy…

Mass Revival Breaks out across Tennessee: ‘The Holy Spirit Came and Took Control’

Mass Revival Breaks out across Tennessee: ‘The Holy Spirit Came and Took Control’

Some 1,000 churches in Tennessee are joining together for prayer and fasting as part of Awaken Tennessee, a 30-day prayer event.

Awaken Tennessee kicked off Jan. 26 and runs through Feb. 23.

According to CBN News, 220 churches in East Tennessee are joining in the event. Another 800 from central and west Tennessee have also committed to the month of prayer.

Pastors in Tennessee say the event has already generated interest in the community with revival services happening all over the city. CBN News reports that the pastors say visitors attending the services have said they can “feel the Holy Spirit as soon as you enter the building.”

“This is not about my church or a denomination, we are simply hosting an event in partnership with churches to see true lasting revival take place,” said Rev. John Butler, pastor of East Rogersville Baptist Church.

“The Holy Spirit came and took control,” he said. “From the first worship song, people began to flood the altar for prayer, and continued to do so for restoration and to receive Christ. We haven’t manipulated our people. They came expectant and God simply showed up.”

The revival has been described as “exploding” in Tennessee.

“This rally is not about our church or any particular denomination, but it is our effort to join the concentrated prayer effort across the state for true revival in our churches that precipitates…

Glory to God; the Pastors Won’t Say Anything, but the Rappers Are Speaking Up: Boosie Badazz and Young Thug Tell Dwyane Wade to Not Cut Off His Son’s Penis at 12 Years Old and He is Too Young to Make Any Decisions

Rappers Boosie Badazz and Young Thug criticized Dwayne Wade via social media Wednesday for supporting his daughter Zaya, 12, amid her revelation she identifies as female.

Young Thug, 28, used misgendering terminology in his tweet (that he later deleted), writing, ‘All I wanna say to dwade son is “GOD DONT MAKE MISTAKES” but hey live your true self.’

Boosie Badazz took to Instagram with his video message, which he captioned, ‘IM GO SAY IT SINCE THIS P**** A** WORLD AINT GO SAY S****‼️U TRIPPIN N**** #period.’

In the clip, the 37-year-old rapper also misgendered Zaya, arguing that Zaya is too young to identify her gender.

‘I gotta say something about this s***, bro – Dwyane Wade, you gone too f***ing far, dawg,’ Boosie said. ‘That is a male. A 12-year-old. At 12, they don’t even know what they next meal gon’ be.

‘They don’t have s*** figured out yet. He might meet a woman, anything, at 16 and fall in love with her. But his d*** be gone – how he gon’ – like, bruh, you going too far, dawg.’

Boosie, a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, repeatedly pleaded for Wade to prohibit Zaya from undergoing any potential surgical procedures.

‘Don’t cut his d*** off, bruh,’ he said. ‘Like, bruh, for real, if he gon’ be gay, let him be gay. But don’t cut his d*** off, bruh. Don’t – and dress him as a woman, dawg. He’s 12-years-old.

‘He’s not up there year. He hasn’t made his final decisions yet. Don’t cut his f***ing dick off, Dwyane Wade, bruh. You f***ing trippin’, dawg.’

The comments came about a week after Wade, who retired from the NBA last year after a 15-season career opened on Ellen about a key exchange with Zaya, his child from his marriage to Siohvaughn Funches.

‘Zion, born as a boy, came home and said, “Hey, so I want to talk to you guys. I think going forward I am ready to live my truth,’ said the 13-time All-Star. ‘I want to be referenced as “she” and “her.” I would love for you guys to call me Zaya.’

Wade added: ‘When our child comes home with a question, when our child comes home with an issue, when our child comes home with anything, it’s our job as parents to listen to that, to give them the best information that we can, the best feedback that we can – and that doesn’t change because sexuality is now involved in it.’

It is Time for Joel Osteen and T. D. Jakes to Man Up and Step Up and Take Control of the Redemption Church/Relentless Church Demonic Disaster and Pull This Out of the Civil Court and Put it in the Church Court and Resolve This Christ/Church Embarrassing Fiasco

Normally, when the people of God allow the devil to get in the midst of a situation through pride, sin, and dishonesty, it becomes very convoluted and full of confusion and then it begins to unravel to the point where the former thing that probably was of God is not even recognizable and this is what has happened with the Redemption Church/Relentless Church debacle. As Relentless Church employee Jacob Johnson, who left Lakewood Church in Houston to join John Gray’s team in Greenville, basically said in the third video, God was in it in the beginning, but pride, sin, and dishonesty has brought it to this.

Black Christian News Network One (BCNN1) does not have the time nor the interest to give a blow-by-blow report on what we know is a devil-inspired, convoluted, unraveling mess. We have and do give initial news about such situations and one or two follow-ups. That is pretty much as far as we are going to go with it because after that you start getting into the weeds of foolishness.

Even though we disagree with some of the things that Larry Reid of Larry Reid Live says in his monologues and reporting, nobody, in our opinion, deals with the blow-by-blow reporting of these messy church situations like he does. Whether you love him, like him, or hate him, we believe we can speak for the respected Christian Post and Black Christian News Network One (BCNN1) that we have used some of his reporting because some things have gotten so out of hand in the church and so demonically ridiculous that somebody has to do the painful, nasty job that Larry Reid is doing, and when we can, we use some of his reporting because he uses credible sources such as court documents. In light of the Scripture, “judgment must begin at the house of God”, and because we have to be honest and transparent before a dying and lost world about the mess in the church, we have to recognize that there are some people who are actually called to do this kind of work and we believe that Larry Reid is called to do this. Now, some of the crazy things that he says regarding stuff that is gossip, regarding sex, and made-up curse words, we don’t support that, but in things where the devil has gotten in the midst of a church situation and it has unraveled, nobody is more gifted in explaining this mess in a blow-by-blow fashion than Larry Reid. So, we give you three videos that he has done over the last week dealing with this sad, unfortunate situation.

The reason why we are calling on Joel Osteen and T. D. Jakes to get involved in a public and out-front way is because this is going to be a mess that goes on throughout the year and maybe even beyond and it needs to end now. These two prominent pastors were there at the beginning laying hands on John Gray and agreeing with Ron Carpenter that this was of God. Now, they need to get involved at the end of this thing to shut it down. One of the sad things that has happened down through the past 30 years is when so-called “pastoral fathers” who basked in their sons’ gifting and talent, and even generated millions of dollars off their sons’ gifting, talent, and ability, but as soon as they mess up they pull back from them and we don’t hear anything from them because they follow the advice of their PR people who tell them, “This is the Titanic, don’t get near it,” when, in fact, we need to see those same “pastoral fathers” who basked in their sons’ glory, gifting, and talent and when the money was flowing in, when he foolishly messes up with pride, sin, and dishonesty to come and help him get out of a bad situation and hire him back where he came from. For the truth of the matter is, some gifted, talented young men are good at being a second man but not the first man. They are good at being a relief pitcher but not the main marquee pitcher. They are good at being a pinch hitter but not the main hitter. They are a good second man, but they are not equipped to be the first man even though everybody thought they would be.

What probably needs to happen at this point and what Joel Osteen and T. D. Jakes need to facilitate with the quickness is for Ron Carpenter to not only get his building back but get all of the people back who want to stay even the ones that came in under John Gray and for John Gray to humble himself and resign and to admit that he messed up with pride, sin, and dishonesty as he has admitted to Larry Reid, and move back to Houston or get a second man job position under T. D. Jakes. But whatever is the conclusion of this matter, it needs to conclude now because in the words of the crazy but gifted Larry Reid, “This is a whole mess.”

14 Parents Sue School District over Policy Allowing Children to Change Name, Gender Identity at School without Parental Consent

14 Parents Sue School District over Policy Allowing Children to Change Name, Gender Identity at School without Parental Consent

Fourteen parents representing eight families from a Wisconsin school district have filed a lawsuit against the district over a policy that requires teachers to call students by their preferred names and pronouns without parental permission or acknowledgment.

According to The Christian Post, the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty – which is representing the families – filed the lawsuit against the Madison Metropolitan School District this week.

At least 11 of the parents involved in the lawsuit are Christians, The Christian Post reports.

“Madison schools have adopted policies that violate constitutionally recognized parental rights,” WILL President and General Counsel Rick Esenberg said in a statement. “A public school district should not, and cannot, make decisions reserved for parents.”

A school district spokesperson said they could not comment on the lawsuit.

The lawsuit says that the school district cannot allow children of any age to change their gender identity without parental consent.

The school district approved its guidelines on transgender and nonbinary students in April 2018. The adopted policy says that any of the district’s children can change their gender identity at school.

While the school district does require parental consent to officially change a student’s name in the district system, the…
