Lorraine Jones was named the Daily Mail Inspirational Woman of the Year during a gala at the Marriott Hotel in Mayfair last night.
The 46-year-old founded ‘Dwaynamics’ on the Angell Town estate in Brixton – the estate where her son Dwayne, 20, was stabbed in the heart when he intervened in a fight.
She was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying: “Of course, I really would prefer that I am not here and have my son.
“But in life we face situations we can’t avoid and I have to think, ‘What would Dwayne want me to do because of this experience?’
