Israel is set to start imposing a curfew in some cities where coronavirus cases have continued to climb.

According to CBN News, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu planned for the curfews to take effect Monday, but health officials and politicians delayed the curfews.

The curfews will now begin Tuesday at 7 p.m. and end at 5 a.m. the next morning. Forty “red” cities have been identified and will be under the curfew. Those cities include Nazareth, Bnei Brak, Elad and Abu Snan.

Health officials did not say how long the curfews will remain in place. Under the order, nonessential businesses will have to close and people will not be allowed more than 500 yards from their homes.

Meanwhile, mayors of the “red” cities say the curfews target ultra-orthodox communities.

Haredi mayors released a letter Sunday saying that Netanyahu was trying to turn the cities “into disease vectors and enemies of the people.”

Health officials say the country could face a nationwide lockdown if coronavirus infections continue to climb. City leaders are especially concerned as the country will be celebrating the Jewish New Year in less than two weeks.

“I know these measures are not easy, but in the current circumstances, there is no escaping them,” Netanyahu said. “We will continue to take responsible steps that are required to protect public health, lives and the economy.”

Pastor Greg Laurie on Tuesday said 1.8 million people watched Harvest’s A Rush of Hope evangelistic film Labor Day weekend, with 16,000 making professions of faith for Christ.

“We have a lot of bad news right now, I thought you all could use some good news!” Laurie wrote to his social media followers.

Laurie, senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship, is the host of the one-hour movie, which features clips from three Erwin Brothers films and performances from Christian artists For King and Country, MercyMe and Jeremy Camp. It streamed for free over the weekend.

The film answers “life’s greatest questions,” as Laurie put it.

“We’re breaking every record we’ve ever set in our history,” Laurie said in a Monday social media video, referencing the viewership.

The movie streamed for free Labor Day weekend. Laurie called the Labor Day screening “phase one” in the Rush of Hope campaign. Phase two, he says, involves purchasing “television time for next weekend and beyond.” He asked Christians to donate money to help get the film on TV

Over the Labor Day weekend, multiple calls to boycott Hobby Lobby were made after one of its stores featured a pro-Trump display, The Blaze reports.

According to Business Insider, the display was posted by Twitter user Kari Brekke after she took the photo from the Facebook group page of the Lincoln Project, an anti-trump organization comprised of Republicans and former Republicans.

Brekke’s post, which was made Sunday evening, showed a display of large decorative letters that was made to read, “USA VOTE TRUMP,” which has since sparked outrage on social media with the viral hashtag #BoycottHobbyLobby.

Worshipers from the Northside Assembly of God in Bonifay, Florida, are mourning the loss of their pastor, Rev. Chuck Glass, after he was killed in a crash while traveling to Louisiana to help Hurricane Laura victims on Labor Day.

“We are deeply saddened and grieving for one of our West Florida Churches.
Please help us lift up the family, friends, and congregation of Rev. Chuck Glass of Northside Assembly of God, Bonifay, FL,” the West Florida District Assemblies of God announced on Facebook Monday.

Students for Life of America partnered with two other pro-life groups Saturday to paint “Black Preborn Lives Matter” on a street outside a Baltimore Planned Parenthood clinic, saying the abortion provider targets minority-dense neighborhoods and that the unborn need a voice.

Police did not issue citations for the artwork, which was done with temporary paint that washes away during rain.

The pro-life activists used yellow paint to write the message on the 300 block of North Howard.

“[The message] will remain here unless the city wants to come take it out, and that would be outside the police department,” Baltimore Police Sgt. Vincenzo Julio told the Baltimore Sun.

Police also noted that the city has allowed other public artwork on streets in recent months.

Students for Life of America, The Frederick Douglass Foundation and the Human Coalition Action joined together to paint the letters.

Students for Life said African American women make up 13 percent of the female population but 38 percent of all reported abortions. In California, 12,000 people have gathered on the Capitol Grounds to worship God. The move was apparently illegal in California, but Sean Feucht, who held the service, says freedom of religion is a right that everyone should have, regardless of what State Officials have to say.

Sean Feucht has been leading worship services across the country, but the one in California is especially important, considering some parts of California, like Los Angeles, have some of the most stringent government lockdowns in the country, CBS Sacramento reports.

In a tweet, the worship leader and pastor insisted that “God is not done with California.” Feucht also noted that the official capitol police estimate said 12,000 people attended the revival event. The tweet included an aerial view of the event.

Author Jen Hatmaker revealed Monday that she and her husband Brandon are divorcing, and she requested privacy as her family seeks to “heal and rebuild.”

“Our loss is not for public devouring,” she wrote on Facebook.

Pastor and evangelist Greg Laurie’s annual Harvest crusade was held virtually this year because of the coronavirus, and thousands have committed to Christ for the first time. 

The longtime Southern California pastor noted the many ills that have proliferated given the pandemic and the shakiness of the economy. Yet the big questions, such as “Why do I exist?” remain with everyone.
