Pastor John Gray says he has ‘submitted to a process of restoration’ after new infidelity allegations

Megachurch pastor John Gray announced that he has “submitted to a process of restoration” that will sometimes take him away from his church in the wake of new allegations of infidelity, some of which he admits are true.

“I’m sorry for the areas of my life that I left unattended, that I was apathetic about, the areas where I have treated the calling of God, the grace of God and the hand of God casually in my life. For every area of behavior that has dishonored the holiness of God, I want to tell you that I’m sorry. There have been a number of things, blogs, some of them accurate, some of it not. But all of it, my responsibility,” the embattled leader of Relentless Church in Greenville, South Carolina, said in an address to his church and family Sunday.

“I apologize for putting the name of God in harm’s way and I and I alone take the responsibility for the actions that harmed and injured God’s sheep. No matter how many pseudo-excuses one can hurl in a moment like this, for the purposes of self-preservation, all of them ring hollow when all that is truly needed is the truth,” he said.

Gray’s address comes after his…

Evangelical Leaders Harassed by Rioters following Trump’s RNC Speech

Evangelical Leaders Harassed by Rioters following Trump’s RNC Speech

As the 2020 Republican National Convention came to a close on Thursday, multiple attendees and prominent evangelicals were met by profanities, threats and violence from rioters as they were leaving the South Lawn of the White House.

According to Christian Today, Trump’s faith advisor, Paula White, condemned the incident on social media.

“150 faith leaders were invited to be with @realDonaldTrump last night as he addressed the country.  As we left the WH, Marxist, leftists, ‘Wanna be Che Guevara’s’ bullies threatened everyone – women, elderly, no limits! Vulgar! In our face, harassment! NO MORE! Stand up- ENOUGH” she wrote on Friday.

Prior to the incident, attendees heard President Trump accept the party’s nomination for a second term in a 70-minute speech.

In attendance were prominent faith leaders, Pastors Robert Jeffress, Ed Young, Jack Graham, Jentezen Franklin, Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, Bishop Harry Jackson and radio host Eric Metaxas, among others.

“What happened last night outside the White House was not a protest. It was a vicious mob whose only purpose was to spew hatred and vitriol — even on the elderly and disabled,” Rodriguez said, according to CBN News.

Pastor Johnnie Moore, leader of the Kairos Company, a public relations firm, was reportedly among those who were assaulted Thursday night.

“Violent provocateurs waited for us (and others) outside the White House…

‘A Priority’ – Pelosi Will Push for Taxpayer-Funded Abortion in 2021, She Tells Allies

‘A Priority’ – Pelosi Will Push for Taxpayer-Funded Abortion in 2021, She Tells Allies

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has told allies that she will push Democratic lawmakers in 2021 to approve federal funding of abortion, thus ending a four-decades-long compromise between the two major parties on one of the most contentious issues in Congress.

At issue is the Hyde Amendment, a legislative provision dating to the 1970s that prohibits federal funds from being used for abortions. It originally passed a Democratic-controlled House and Senate just a few years after Roe v. Wade and has been backed publicly by Democratic presidents, including Presidents Carter, Clinton and Obama. Obama signed an executive order opposing taxpayer funding of abortion in his healthcare plan.

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden opposes the Hyde Amendment.

Because the Hyde Amendment must be renewed by each Congress, its future has always been tenuous.

Prior to the amendment, roughly 300,000 abortion were performed each year in the 1970s using taxpayer funds.

Two of Pelosi’s legislative allies – Democratic Reps. Barbara Lee (Calif.) and Rep. Diana DeGette (Colo.) – say she told a small group of House Democrats last month the House will not add the Hyde Amendment to budget bills next year, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Democrats are framing the issue as one of justice for lower-income women.

“It’s an issue of racial justice and it’s an issue of discrimination…

One Man Slain, Children and Others Kidnapped in North-Central Nigeria

One Man Slain, Children and Others Kidnapped in North-Central Nigeria

JOS, Nigeria, August 28, 2020 (Morning Star News) – Fulani herdsmen attacked a predominantly Christian village in north-central Nigeria, killing one resident, burning a church building and kidnapping four children among others on Monday (Aug. 24), sources said.

More than 20 herdsmen rode into Damba Kasaya village, Kaduna state, on motorcycles at about 8 a.m. in an attack in which they kidnapped four students, including a 10-year-old girl, from a school.

“Our church, Aminchi Baptist Church, here in Damba Kasaya, was burned, and Mr. Benjamin Auta, aged 35, was killed during the attack,” village resident Nuhu Aruwa told Morning Star News by text message.

Local news reports said Auta was killed while pursuing the fleeing herdsmen, but Aruwa said they killed him in his house, which is close to the school where the students were kidnapped. The herdsmen abducted seven Christians from the village in Chikun County, he said.

“Among them were four students of Prince Academy and one of their teachers,” Aruwa said. “Two other Christian farmers, a woman and a man, were captured and taken away too by the herdsmen.”

Village resident Emmanuel Zakka said three girls were kidnapped among the students – 10-year-old Favour Danjuma, Miracle Saitu Danjuma, 15, and Happiness Odoji, 16 – along with Ezra Bako, 17. Zakka identified the kidnapped teacher as Christiana Madugu, 29.

Hurricane Laura Strikes Gulf Coast

Hurricane Laura Strikes Gulf Coast

Hurricane Laura, a category 4 hurricane that was one of the strongest to ever hit the United States, has left hundreds of thousands in Louisiana without power, and at least 11 dead. The Associated Press reports that basic facilities like power and water could take weeks to be back up and running.

Laura made landfall between Texas and Louisiana Thursday at 1 a.m. It brought with it maximum sustained winds of 150 mph, only the 10th such hurricane to make landfall in the continental US since record keeping began in 1851, reports NPR.org.

The storm’s aftermath has left 600,000 homes and business in Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas without power, according to utility tracking website poweroutage.us. Additionally several hospitals in Louisiana were moving critical patients to other facilities due to the lack of water and electricity.

However, despite the damage, and warnings of an “unsurvivable” storm surge, state officials are thankful that it wasn’t quite as bad as expected.

Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards said “It is clear that we did not sustain and suffer the absolute, catastrophic damage that we thought was likely. But,” he continued, “we have sustained a tremendous amount of damage.”

Edwards called Laura the most powerful hurricane to strike Louisiana. That would make it stronger even than Hurricane Katrina, which devastated parts of the state in 2005.

The Associated Press reports that a full assessment of…

Chadwick Boseman’s death and faith: The power of purpose and the “two great days” of your life

Chadwick Boseman, the actor who played the title character in the Oscar-winning film Black Panther, died last Friday at the age of forty-three.

Boseman drew accolades for his depictions of Thurgood Marshall, Jackie Robinson, and James Brown. He died on the fifty-seventh anniversary of the March on Washington and the day baseball honored Jackie Robinson.

In his memory, ABC showed Black Panther commercial-free last night. I watched the marvelous film again as well as the tribute show to Boseman that followed. One person said of him, “He played icons and now has become an icon himself, and his legacy is one for the ages.”

Why Chadwick Boseman died and what he believed

The tweet announcing Boseman’s death is now the most liked tweet of all time. In it, his family reported: “Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.”

He filmed Black Panther in 2018, reprising the role in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame (the latter became the highest-grossing movie of all time). He starred last year in 21 Bridges and then in the Netflix war drama Da 5 Bloods. We now know that he made each of these movies, as his family stated, “during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.”

Chadwick Boseman died of cancer, but he died in faith.

Rev. Samuel Neely, the pastor who baptized Boseman as a child, said the arts were always part of his life, singing in the church choir and producing plays in high school. According to Rev. Neely, Boseman continued to live out his faith as an adult.

In explaining Jackie Robinson’s remarkable courage, Boseman quoted the “fruit of the Spirit” (Galatians 5:22–23) and said, “I…

Six Reasons Your Pastor Is about to Quit

About one-third of you readers are laypersons. This article is for you. Of course, I know pastors and other vocational ministry leaders will be reading as well. Perhaps, more than my article, they will be reading your comments. They will be searching eagerly to see if anyone has a word of encouragement. They may be anticipating the responses will be a barrage of negativity they have become accustomed to receiving.

Please hear me clearly. The vast majority of pastors with whom our team communicates are saying they are considering quitting their churches. It’s a trend I have not seen in my lifetime. Some are just weeks away from making an announcement. They are looking for work in the secular world. Some will move to bivocational ministry. Some will move to marketplace ministry.

But many will move.

Why has this period of great discouragement ensued? Of course, it is connected to COVID-19, but the pandemic really just exacerbated trends already in place. We would have likely gotten to this point in the next three to five years regardless.

I also want you to know that these pastors do not think they will be leaving ministry. They just believe the current state of negativity and apathy in many local churches is not the most effective way they can be doing ministry.

So, they are leaving or getting ready to leave. There are many reasons why, but allow me to share the top six reasons, understanding that they are not mutually exclusive.

  1. Pastors are weary from the pandemic, just like…

Knowing You – GUC ( EeZeeConceptz )

The single. “Knowing You” by GUC is not just another song, it is a supplication, a deep yearning for God, a heart cry to rid the flesh of its lust and be found in Christ-likeness.

Minister GUC in his usual style reaches for the depth of communion, latching on to his message while deeply immense in worship for the purpose of cleansing, spiritual infilling and an overwhelming outpouring. No doubt, the end result will be abounding testimonies yet again.

“There comes a time when we feel the incomparable depth in Christ and the desire to know Him more. Beyond the demands that life imprints on us, here is a song that expresses a genuine heart cry of the believer .

“”To know the father beyond what life offers”

“God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth; in doing this, there must be a hunger and a yearning for deep brooks in Him.

“Philippians 3 vs 10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.” – Minister GUC

“Knowing You” follows the release of “Yours”, which dropped in June of 2020, ahead of “The Bill,” a song which resonated with the resurrection season. There has been a hint that an album may be in the works. Considering the magnitude of releases, it is not far fetched but we await further details as released by EeZee Conceptz Global.
