Our Daily Manna July 22, 2017: ODM devotional – I Refuse Emergency Death!

Remind God daily of this word (covenant of long life). Stand in the gap for your loved ones using the same covenant. You will not die before your time! You cannot be touched and you cannot be killed.

Topic: I Refuse Emergency Death! [Saturday 22 July, 2017]

(Hebrews 9:27; Psalm 91:1 -End)

Welcome to today’s devotional with the Shephard of your soul. In this second half of the year, the Holy Ghost wants you to know that there is a difference between being killed and dying. To be killed means to die before your time without fulfilling your destiny or fulfilling the number of your God-appointed days! But to die means to fulfil the number of your God-appointed days. In this year of EVIDENCE, the Holy Ghost is asking you to cancel DEATH BY MISTAKE which is also called EMERGENCY DEATH. Death by mistake or emergency death is also called, THE DEATH OF A FOOL ( 2 Samuel 3:33). I am led to ask: “If Jesus tarries on His return, will you be killed or will you die on this earth?”

Note that te life expectancy of an African has risen to between 59 and 60 years. European life expectancy is between 75 and 81 years. North American life expectancy is between 77 and 81 years. Years ago, The UNO (United Nations Organisation) forecasted that most Africans would not see their 48th bithday. Wow! While the United Nations continue to release reports of caution and fear, you must listen to what the “Covenant of long life” says concerning you and your family: Heb 9:27 proclaims: “It is appointed for a man to die but once………”Notice that it did not say, “It is appointed for a man to be killed but once.” So in this fasting programme and beyond, decree that you shall not be killed by armed robbers, sickness and diseases, accidents, hired assasins or manipulation such as witches and wizards, etc.

Psalm 91:16 declares: “With a long life will I satisfy him and shew him my salvation.” The, Isaiah 46: 4 summarizes: “And even to your old age, I am he, and even to hoars hais( gray hairs) will I carry you. I have made and I will bear; even I will carry and will deliver you.” Yes! This is the covenant of long life: Death in old age with satisfation! Remind God daily of this word (covenant of long life). Stand in the gap for your loved ones using the same covenant. You will not die before your time! You cannot be touched and you cannot be killed. Your life and ministry are too hot for Satan now! But stay within the hedge and long life will be your EVIDENCE! Amen!

Joyce Meyer's Daily 22 July 2017 Devotional – It’s Like Going to the Bank

Topic It’s Like Going to the Bank [Saturday July 22, 2017]

… Because of our faith in Him, we dare to have the boldness (courage and confidence) of free access (an unreserved approach to God with freedom and without fear). — Ephesians 3:12

We should never feel insecure when we approach God in prayer. He knows all of our weaknesses and loves us anyway. God wants to give us more than enough, not barely enough, and we need to ask boldly.

Approaching God boldly in prayer can be likened to going to a bank to make a withdrawal. If I know I have fifty dollars in the bank because I deposited it there last week, I will not hesitate to pull up to the drive-through window and cash a fifty-dollar check. I know I have the money; it’s mine, and I can get it out of the bank if I want to. When I present my check, I fully expect to get my fifty dollars.

We need to approach God with that same kind of boldness, not because of our own righteousness, but because of the privilege of being joint heirs with Jesus. We need to understand what is available to us because of Jesus and we need to pray confidently, with full expectation that we will receive what belongs to us. God has made incredible provision available to us in Christ and we simply need to ask in Jesus’ name for the blessings He has already purchased for us.

When we struggle with feelings of unworthiness, we should go to God’s Word and let it remind us of our privileges as children of God. Ask the Holy Spirit to help us enter boldly into God’s presence and receive the help we need because, the Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ (Romans 8:16-17 NKJV). He will speak to us and remind us that we belong to God!

God’s word for you today: You are God’s child and He is looking and longing to be good to you.

Control your thought to control your life

Letting loose your thought is letting loose of your life.

Letting any kind of thought in your mind is letting go of your life.

TREM’s Daily 22 July 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – Be Resilient

Topic: Be Resilient [Saturday July 22, 2017]

“For we are made partakers of Christ if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.’’ Hebrews 3:14 (KJV)

In Christianity, there is nothing like retreat. You don’t go back. In Luke 18, there was a widow who entreated a wicked judge to avenge her of her adversary. Though the judge did not fear God nor regarded any man, yet he avenged her because of her resilience.  She refused to take no for an answer. She kept going to the judge continually.

Beloved, don’t run away from battle and don’t ever give up. There is so much you would achieve if you keep at it without faltering. If you continually go forward in-spite of the challenges, you will see the salvation of your God. Whenever you go forward, you see God in another dimension. You see Him do the unusual.

Child of God, I challenge you to do it again. Keep moving!  When you are faced with a mountain and you are determined to go on irrespective of obstacles, supernaturally the mountain will either give way or you would climb over the mountain, or you would go under it, or you bore a hole through it. One thing is sure; you will get to the other side. I see you getting to the other side. God will honour your faith. You will not be denied. Be rest assured that your testimonies will surely come.

Begin to see the change you have always desired take place in your life. See the doors of favor opening for you. Open your eyes and see endless possibilities. You may not know how it will happen, your assignment is to see it and believe what God has said and pretty soon you will see the manifestation. I declare that the desires of your heart will be granted. Your ground will yield her increase and you will eat of the good of the land. For your shame my God will give you double. Your best days are here.

Andrew Wommack’s Daily 22 July 2017 Devotional – No Denial of Deity

Topic: No Denial of Deity [Saturday July 22, 2017]

John 10:34 “Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?”

JOHN 10:30-39

Some people have tried to interpret this scripture to say that Jesus was disclaiming deity by associating Himself with the gods spoken of in Psalm 82:6. However, Jesus is not saying that He is a god only in the sense that the scriptures, spoke of men with divine authority as gods (Ex. 4:16; 7:1; 22:28; Ps. 82:1). In the verses before this, Jesus proclaimed His oneness with the Father and in His statements after this, He says that the Father is in Him and He is in the Father, making clear His claim to deity. Also, the Jews were not pacified by His answer, but they tried again to stone Him. If they would have understood His statements to mean that He was not proclaiming His deity, they would have left Him alone.

The comparison that Jesus is making is between the scriptures clearly stating that the Christ was God (Isa. 9:6) and the scriptures saying that rulers were gods (this refers to having divine authority – not deity). Jesus accepted their position and authority, because of the infallibility of the scriptures, and they should have done the same with Him. The scriptures prophesied His coming and the works that He would accomplish; and He fulfilled these prophecies as no one else could. His works proved He was the Messiah prophesied through scripture.

Jesus had already manifested supernatural power by His ability to walk through the midst of those who were trying to kill him and He eventually does the same thing here. But first, He refers back to Psalm 82:6. In this passage, God was speaking to the rulers of His covenant people, the Jews, and He called them gods. Jesus was saying, “If those in authority were called gods, how can you fault me for claiming to be the Son of God when I have fulfilled so many scriptures?”

Billy Graham’s Daily 22 July 2017 Devotional – Establishing Peace

Topic: Establishing Peace [Saturday July 22, 2017]

Being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. — Romans 5:1

Before the Big Four Conference in Geneva I watched President Eisenhower kneel in a chapel and ask God for divine guidance in the deliberations to follow. I felt sure that God would answer his earnest prayer. I believe that He did, for President Eisenhower during those days displayed the spirit of a true peacemaker on the international level.

The only corrective measure in establishing peace is for men as individuals to know the peace of God. Though I am not wholly averse to movements which strive in one way or another for world peace, I have a strong conviction that such peace will never come unless there is a spiritual dynamic at the core. I pray for wars to cease, just as I pray for crime to stop; but I know that the basic cause of both crime and war is the inherent sinfulness of human nature. The world cannot be reborn until men are born again and are at peace with God.

Prayer for the day: Heavenly Father, I pray for the peace of the world through individuals surrendering to Your Son, Jesus Christ. Bless all today who are spreading the Gospel here and abroad.

Winning Wisdom: The Beginning and the End 1

Topic: The Beginning and the End 1 [Saturday, 22nd July 2017]

“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.” Revelation 1:8

One thing with the Lord is that He is unwaveringly committed to any course He starts. The Lord never backs down on whatever He starts. In short, anything the Lord starts, know that He has already finish it. Because He knows and does the end from the beginning. Has God began anything in your life, be rest assured He has finished it. Scriptures say God has finished the works concerning you from the foundation of the world (Hebrews 4:3).

Apostle Paul says in Philippians 1:6 “I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.” This is a sure word of prophecy. The Lord is not only the Alpha, He is at the same breathe the Omega. With God, you can’t get Alpha without Omega. Both of them are siemese twin that can never be separated. They are both a total package.

Never lose sight on the completeness of God’s work. He is not a workman that abandons his work, even though he has already built a finished model. God doesn’t do model with us, He does the actual work and He finishes it. He is the Beginning and also the End. You might have been thinking God is not going to bring to an end what He has started in your life, I am sure you will start thinking differently now. The Lord will always end what He begins.

Keep winning daily.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for being the Beginning and End of all things in my life. I trust You that You have finished all that You’ve started in my life, and I am certain I will see the end result, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Iniquities Shall Abound

A Promise For You From Bible Promises:

Topic: Iniquities Shall Abound [22/07/2017]

And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Matthew 24:12. 2 Tim 3:1-8

One day the disciples of Jesus Christ came to meet Him on Mount Olives and began to ask Him, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Jesus began to tell them many things which one of them is, And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

When you look at the world today, many new ways have emerge to commit sin. Yet, Jesus knew this beforehand that, sin, wickedness will grossly increase which will cause many who have once given up on the things of the world to return to their vomit. Daniel 12:10 says, Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. Only the righteous shall understand that, the end is around the corner, so they won’t join the world in their wickedness. Paul calls it a perilous time in the history of man.

Glory to God Almighty who has made grace abound much more than sin through Christ Jesus. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abound, grace abound the more. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 5:20-21. To escape the horror of this end time sin, you must abound in the grace of God daily. God’s grace is to help you uproot the root of sin.

Kenneth Copeland’s daily July 22, 2017 Devotional – Nothing to Lose

Topic: Nothing to Lose [Saturday July 22, 2017]

Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him. – Isaiah 3:10-11

Have you ever been afraid to give yourself totally to the Lord because you think you might be deprived of some pleasure in this life? Chances are, you have. That’s because Satan is working overtime to convince you that he can really make your life worth living. But don’t believe him for a minute. The real truth is, yielding completely to the Lord won’t cost you anything that’s worth having. It will only cause you to live life to its fullest!

Jesus’ life on earth was a perfect example of a totally yielded life. He was a walking example of the benefits godly living brings. Everywhere He went, Jesus made the deaf to hear, the blind to see, the lame to walk. He lived in perfect peace and absolute victory.

That all sounds pretty good to me. All He missed out on was the devil getting dominion over Him to steal, kill and destroy. In fact, the devil couldn’t do anything to Him until, by the Father’s will, He laid down His life. Until that time Jesus walked in total victory over the enemy.

Do you think you would miss out on a lot if you lived that way? Of course not! You can walk in that same anointing and power and glory of God that Jesus did.

Do you have to give up your whole life to do it? Yes! You have to trade your life for the life of God. You have to trade your sickness for His healing, your poverty for His prosperity, your anxiety for His peace, your sin for His salvation.

So why hesitate? When it gets right down to it, you really have nothing to lose.

DCLM Daily Manna 22 July, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – True Lifeguard

Topic: True Lifeguard [Saturday July 22, 2017]

Text: Mark 10:17-27

Key Verse: “And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?” (Mark 10:17).

“Eternal, eternal life, Eternal, eternal life, I want to live eternal life, God save my soul, I want to live eternal life, God save my soul.” The lyrics above used to be a very popular chorus many years ago. It is seldom sang today, because many are not too conscious or may have forgotten there is an eternal life after this present life.

The young rich man in the text, who ran to Jesus in the way, knew better, as he realised that he needed eternal life, though he was very comfortable. It was the missing thing in his life and he sought how to inherit it. He came to the right Person, for Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life; no one can get to the Father (Eternal life) except by Him. Jesus is the only Lifeguard to eternal life.

A lifeguard is a beach or pool attendant, trained in rescue operations. His job is to watch over swimmers at a beach or swimming pool and save those in danger or drowning. To the individual struggling strenuously against life’s stormy waters of sin, sickness and Satan, Christ is the only Lifeguard. His suffering and death on Calvary’s Cross is the miraculous rescue for all troubled souls.

All are sinners by birth, choice and practice. The nature of sin is native to every human that descended from Adam. Sin leads the sinner away from eternal life, far away from God. Perhaps, you trust in your religious zeal, almsgiving, fasting and praying and moral uprightness. Yours is false confidence! Like the rich young man, depending on your personal works of righteousness cannot save.

It is like attempting to roll your car merrily across a furious river on a bridge suspended on a spider’s webs. A terrible disaster is inevitable. You stand at a crossroads today. You must receive Christ’s offer of rescue (free pardon) and be saved, or refuse Him and be lost into a dreadful eternity.

Thought for the day: No gift is more needed by the drowning world than the Lifeguard, the Saviour.
