Arizona Wildcats’ Derrick Williams (L) drives to the net on Connecticut Huskies’ Roscoe Smith in this 2011 file photo.

Christian Post Report – The Arizona Wildcats will be in action against on Saturday in a massive NCAA 2015 March Madness game against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The No. 2 seeded Wildcats should be favorites to take this one, but it would be dangerous to write off the No. 10 seeded Buckeyes who would love nothing other than to cause a big upset today. The game is scheduled to start at 5.15 p.m. ET and takes place from the Moda Center at the Rose Quarter in Portland, Oregon. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through free live stream (details below).

The Arizona Wildcats have only tripped up three times this entire season, posting a record of 32-3, and they will be reasonably confident that if they can give their best today they won’t suffer a fourth defeat here.

The Buckeyes have had a much more mixed season and have shown some flashes of excellence, but also a certain degree of inconsistency that has seen them struggle at times. Their 24-10 season showed lots of promise through, and there is no doubt that if they are on top of their game today they can compete with the Wildcats and have a chance.

Arizona had a relatively easy time of it in the Round of 64, easing their way to a comfortable 21 point win over Texas Southern on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ohio State were forced to fight back and come from behind against VCU. The character that they showed to comeback will have given them confidence, however, and they will want to build on the momentum they finished the game with against VCU.

The Buckeyes though can ill afford to make such a lackluster start against Arizona, and if they fall behind early on today, they may find it a lot harder to fight their way back into the game than they did against VCU.

Today’s big NCAA 2015 March Madness game between the Arizona Wildcats and the Ohio State Buckeyes will start at 5.15 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through free live stream by clicking here.

Christian Post Report – Georgetown Hoyas’ Mikael Hopkins (C) drives to the basket through the defense of Syracuse Orange players C.J. Fair (L) and Baye Moussa Keita (R) during action in the first half in their NCAA men’s college basketball semi-final game at the 2013 Big East tournament at Madison Square Garden in New York, March 15, 2013.

Both the No. 4 seeded Georgetown and the No. 5 seeded Utah managed to see off lower seeded teams in their Second Round games earlier this week to make it through to the Round of 32. However, both will now need to make sure they are at their best to progress to the Sweet 16.

This season is Utah’s first appearance at March Madness since 2009, and this is the furthest they have gone in the NCAA tournament since 2005.

However, they have hit a run of inconsistent form, and over their last nine games they have been unable to string two straight victories together, alternating between wins and losses through that period. That is an inconsistent form running all the way back to Feb. 19, and if they don’t immediately end that run their tournament will come to an abrupt end.

Meanwhile the Hoyas are enjoying being back in the NCAA tournament after missing out last year. Last season was only the third time they had not featured in March Madness since head coach John Thompson III took over at Georgetown.

Today’s big NCAA March Madness 2015 game between the Utah Runnin’ Utes and the Georgetown Hoyas will start at 7.45 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the CBS network, or online through free live stream by clicking here.

‘Dredd 2’ News, Update: Screenwriter Alex Garland Says Sequel Probably Won’t Happen

Dredd FACEBOOK/ Dredd

Kate Urban as Judge Dredd in 2012 movie “Dredd”

Christian Post Report – An interview with 2012 “Dredd” writer-producer Alex Garland reveals that there might be a very slim chance that a sequel for the science action film would push through.

Speaking with the Collider, Garland seems to confirm that a “Dredd 2” movie would never happen. He shared his thoughts about the Karl Urban and Leda Headey-starred box office feature, and pointed out the support it garnered from fans despite its apparent financial failure.

“The ‘Dredd’ thing is a surprise. It’s a really complicated set of emotions. I have a lot of regret about how things worked out with ‘Dredd,’ but it’s very gratifying. The regret it – you do a kind of transaction, particularly with the creators of it, which is that we want to do this thing and honor what you did, and try to do it properly, and then the film will reward that trust. That act of faith and trust and decency. And I think that the film rewarded them in one sense, but not in another,” Garland said.

“I do believe it rewarded them creatively, unless they’re lying to me about that. But I think it has created this thing of this movie that fails. The story of ‘Dredd’ is that of a failed movie,” he added.

“How can I say this without being soppy? It’s touching,” Garland went on to say referring to the cult status of the 3-year-old movie. “It means something that these people support the film in that way, but the thing people want, which is a sequel, I don’t think is going to happen.”

“I think it will happen (let me rephrase that) I don’t think it’s happening with me and the people who made the last one,” Garland clarified.

NFL 2015 News, Rumors: League Proposes Rule Changes to Instant Replay System

Yesterday the NFL announced the various rule change proposals they will discuss at this year’s league meeting to be held in Phoenix, Arizona. Many of those rule changes involve tweaks to the current instant replay system and how plays are challenged and how many challenges a team will have per game, and exactly which plays are challengeable. All of these rule changes were proposed by one of the 32 NFL teams, with none coming from the league itself. That raises serious questions if any meaningful changes will happen.

NFL NFL

Christian Post Report – The NFL wants to expand its playoff tournament

Outside of the somewhat odd proposal put forward by the Indianapolis Colts about a potential opportunity to add a third point after a successful two point conversion some of the instant replay proposal are actually pretty good. The Detroit Lions proposed a rule that would allow teams to challenge penalty calls. Of all the proposals it is the most simply worded “all fouls identified by a game official.” Meaning a head coach could challenge any penalty call.

However, the Lions do not think they will get enough support to get that rule changed.

On the whole most of the 32 team proposed changes to the instant replay system that would expand the types of calls that are challengeable. The Colts also proposed a rule that would not charge a team a timeout for a unsuccessful challenge.

More than any tweaks to the roster, tweaks to instant replay and well before they add a three point conversion rule the NFL needs to clarify to its fans what constitutes a catch. There is a large disconnect between what the rulebook says a catch is and what a reasonable fan sitting in his man cave with his high definition TV expects a catch to be. If any one rule is to be tweaked this offseason it would behoove the NFL to seriously alter what its rulebooks defines as a catch.

Xavier Musketeers vs Georgia State Panthers Live Stream Free: Watch NCAA 2015 March Madness Online (Start Time)

Georgia State Panthers (Photo: Reuters/John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports)

The Georgia State Panthers bench surrounds Panthers guard R.J. Hunter (22) after their victory over the Baylor Bears in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament at Jacksonville Veteran Memorial Arena.

Christian Post Report – The Xavier Musketeers will play the Georgia State Panthers on Saturday as the NCAA March Madness 2015 Round of 32 gets well and truly underway with a massive game from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Today’s big game will start at 6.10 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the TNT network. The game can also be watched online through free live stream (details below).

Prior to this year’s NCAA tournament getting underway, most would have said that Xavier would be big favorites to win this one. The No. 6 seeded team went 22-13 this season but arguably were challenged by some much stronger teams than the No. 14 seeded Panthers who went 25-9 through the season.

However, Georgia State made a big statement that they are not just here to make up the numbers as they took down the No. 3 seeded Baylor in the Second Round earlier this week.

The Panthers therefore will not be fazed by coming up against the Musketeers today and will believe they can take down another higher seeded team to progress to the Sweet 16 Round next week.

However, Xavier will be in no mood to be part of Georgia State’s Cinderella story and they will look to stamp their authority on the game from the start and try and immediately put a halt to any momentum the Panthers gained through their win against Baylor.

The Musketeers will have to put the brakes on Georgia State’s R.J. Hunter though. He has very much been their star player, and is averaging a team-high 19.8 points per game this season. Hunter of course wrote himself into the Georgia State history books as he hit the team’s game-winning three pointer with just seconds on the clock against Baylor.

Whether he will be able to lead the Panthers to another famous win remains to be seen.

Christian Post Report – The Villanova Wildcats.

The No. 1 seeded Villanova Wildcats will be big favorites to win today and progress at the expense of No. 8 seeded North Carolina State.

Villanova went 33-2 through the season to get to this point, taking down some big teams on the way. The Wolfpack were not able to be as consistent and finished with a 21-13 record.

However, North Carolina State will feel good coming into this game after making an impressive comeback against LSU on Thursday night, claiming the win with a dramatic last second score. Their reward, a place in the Round of 32 and a game against the top team in the East Region.

Revealing the challenge facing the Wolfpack today, Villanova eased through their Second Round game earlier this week, demolishing Lafayette by a 41 point margin. Villanova shot 63.2 percent from the field in the 93-52 victory over Lafayette, with each one of their five starters scoring in double figures.

Villanova also come into this game on the back of a 16 games unbeaten run, and they will be in confident mood, not having tasted defeat since right at the beginning of the year on January 19 when they went down at Geogetown.

Today’s big NCAA 2015 March Madness game between the Villanova Wildcats and the North Carolina State Wolfpack will start at 7.10 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the TBS network, or online through free live stream by clicking here.

Kym Johnson Dating Robert Herjavec? DWTS 2015 Dancers Dating?

Is a new romance forming on the “Dancing With The Stars” dance floor?

Christian Post Report – “Shark Tank” boss Robert Herjavec is reportedly dating his pro partner, Kym Johnson. According to a source from Us Weekly, the pair was spotted getting cozy at an intimate viewing party for the show on Monday evening at L.A.’s Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails, and they were reportedly seen holding hands and dancing closely. The pair even allegedly kissed several times.

The magazine also reported that after placing fourth in Monday night’s episode, the pair left the studio lot together, speeding off to a party in Herjavec’s Rolls-Royce.

“Kym and Robert were definitely attracted to each other from the get-go,” said the source to Us Weekly. “They are constantly all over each other. She can’t stop talking about what a good, nice guy he is. They have insane chemistry and are actually a good match.”

Herjavec’s 24-year marriage to Diane Plese ended in July last year, and the 52-year old tycoon revealed that he hit rock bottom soon after when he contemplated suicide. He told People Magazine, “I just wanted to end it. It’s been a terribly difficult year. We were great parents and a great team, but over time we drifted apart.”

Apparently, competing in the latest season of the hit ABC show proved to be the perfect project where he could dive in head first as he told ETCanada, “This couldn’t have come at a better time in my life for me. I’m just trying to stay positive and Kym’s yelling at me a lot and that’s a little negative but I’m getting used to it.”

Johnson has never been married. She was previously engaged to cricket player Shane Watson, but the two split after three years together.

In an interview with the Daily Telegraph, the 38-year old dancer said, “I’ve never been opposed to dating someone famous. I’m looking for a good person I connect with…I can’t imagine myself without kids…I really want to be a mum. Hopefully, I can find the right man.”

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx Dating? Spotted Together Holding Hands

Are Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx secretly dating?

Christian Post Report – For the past year and a half, persistent rumors of the two dating have been around, but a new report and photo from Us Weekly appears to confirm that the “Dawson’s Creek” alum and “Annie” actor are indeed romantically involved.

The picture, which was reportedly taken in February, shows Holmes and Foxx holding hands. As detailed in the latest issue of the magazine, the 36-year-old actress has been allegedly secretly spending time with Foxx since the summer before last, when he wooed her at a benefit in the Hamptons.

Holmes shares 8-year-old daughter Suri with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, to whom she was married from 2006 to 2012.

“Jamie is someone she can trust and have fun with,” said a source to the magazine. “She’s getting everything from Jamie that she didn’t get from Tom.”

Meanwhile, another source from Mirror says that the relationship is not “an intense romance.”

“Jamie and Katie are friends and have been for a long time. They are two adults who are attractive and single, and so apparently conclusions will be drawn. They’re not about to run off and make some serious commitment,” the insider said.

Sources close to Cruise told TMZ that the actor is still involved with Suri and that he will be returning to Los Angeles once filming for “Mission Impossible 5” is done.
