Naughty Dog’s upcoming video game title “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”
Christian Post Report – Fans of the hit video game franchise series Uncharted have long been waiting for its upcoming sequel “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.” They were understandably disappointed when they heard the game is now pushed back for a “Spring 2016” release date.
Game directors Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann admitted that the installment “is much more ambitious” than what they initially envisioned.
“After spending so many years with Nathan Drake, he means a lot to the team, and telling the climactic chapter of his adventures is a task we don’t take lightly – this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for,” they wrote on their official PS Blog update site.
Given the immense challenge to keep up or perhaps surpass the success they had with the past series, the studio chose to hold off the game for them to make sure that fans won’t be disappointed when it hits the store shelves.
“So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title,” the directors went on to say.
Straley and Druckmann then said that Naughty Dog will use the remainder of 2015 to polish “The Thief’s End” and make sure that its main protagonist, Nathan Drake, gets “the closure it deserves.”
The game studio did confirm a multiplayer mode for Uncharted 4, which could possibly add to the wait for the highly anticipated sequel.
