Christians and Bible-reading communities around the world are marking November as Global Bible Month, an initiative encouraging people to reconnect with Scripture and make God’s Word a greater part of their daily lives.
The annual initiative, supported by YouVersion and various Christian ministry partners, features a 30-day Bible challenge designed to encourage consistent reading, reflection and engagement with the Bible.
As part of this year’s celebration, the Bible has also been highlighted through public displays in prominent locations, including Times Square in New York, Piccadilly Circus in London and Osaka in Japan. These displays aim to draw public attention to Scripture and encourage people to explore its message.
YouVersion also reported significant growth in digital Bible engagement. According to its October 2026 report, daily use across its platforms reached 18.5 million people worldwide, representing an increase of more than 13 per cent compared with the previous year. The organisation also recorded more than 160 million new app installations across its family of apps during 2026.
Global Bible Month provides an opportunity for individuals, churches and Christian organisations to encourage one another to study Scripture, strengthen their faith and apply biblical teachings to everyday life.
