Your proper positioning in God’s master plan is vital in determining your levels of breakthrough. This means that where you are positioned determines the outcome of your life. You must therefore be covenantly positioned to command supernatural breakthroughs in life. Your breakthrough in life will demand the following:

Believe God’s word:  Gen.1:3 -And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
God’s word is creative; when God speaks. He creates. In Genesis 1, God created everything by His spoken words. Every time God tells you something, believe it because His word has the power to bring it into existence. If you want supernatural breakthrough, never doubt the word of God; your duty is just to believe because God speaks according to His size.

Believe God’s true messenger: 2 Chron.20:20b -…Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
Your prosperity is tied to believing the prophet God has sent to you. If God has sent you a prophet, then believe when he speaks to you. God speaks through prophets to make you have profit. There is no point following a man of God you don’t believe because his words will not profit you.

Do something about your situation: 2 Kings 7:3-4 – And there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?4 If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
Stop watching what you don’t want. You cannot fold your arms and expect God to act. Rise up and face that challenge with God’s word. If your health is deteriorating, face it with God’s word. Face that ugly situation with God’s word! Get up and do something! Until you make a move, you cannot be a mover on earth. You should not sit down in one place and be analyzing situation, take a step!

Be a proclaimer of the Gospel:
John 4:28-30 – The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, 29 Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? 30 Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.
To enjoy supernatural breakthrough, share your testimonies with unbelievers to bring them to Christ. When the lepers came with the good news in 7 Kings 7, nobody remembered their conditions anymore. Success has a way of making people remember where you are coming from. Success covers errors and defines new level.

Be a generous giver:
2 Kings 7: 8-9 – And when these lepers came to the uttermost part of the camp, they went into one tent, and did eat and drink, and carried thence silver, and gold, and raiment, and went and hid it; and came again, and entered into another tent, and carried thence also, and went and hid it. 9 Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.

Learn to give to God’s kingdom and bless humanity. Giving is living. In life, don’t always want to eat alone. Always learn to be a blessing to others. Every time you are blessed, bless people too if you must enjoy supernatural breakthrough. The lepers in 2 Kings 7 did not take all the blessings, they invited others to join them.

Pay your tithe faithfully, give quality offering and bless humanity as well. As you do these and more, supernatural breakthrough will be your portion in Jesus name –Amen!

Topic: Praise; a Key to Supernatural Supplies [Seeds of Destiny 30 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

Scripture: Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us…. Psalm 67:5-7

Thought For The Day: The earth cannot withhold the supplies of a praiser.

Our anchor Scripture establishes a clear connection between praise and supernatural supplies. Praise provokes the release of the blessing of God on the life of the praiser. Wherever what is yours is, praise reveals and releases it to you by putting the earth under pressure and retains it for you. The earth cannot withhold the supplies of the one who praises God. So, to praise God is to be blessed.

Now, let us see how praise puts the earth under pressure for the release of supernatural supplies.

Psalm 67:5, 6 says,… let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield…

The earth here refers to three things:
a. The People of the Earth.
If you know how to praise God, no human being can keep what is yours in their possession. Your praise would make your boss in the office lose his/her sleep until he/she releases your due promotion.

b. Governments, Organisations or Institutions.
The Persian Empire was put under pressure because of Mordecai (Esther 6:1-11). When you know God and know how to praise Him, there is no system or government that can hold back what is yours.

c. The Enemy, Satan the Devil and his Agents.
No witchcraft coven, occultic shrine or marine warehouse can withhold the consignment of a praiser.

Beloved, I declare that today, individuals, governments, systems and agents of the devil shall release to you by force, whatever belongs to you in their possession, in Jesus’ Name.
Remember this: The earth cannot withhold the supplies of a praiser.

Topic: Wealthy Paupers [DCLM Daily Manna 30 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

Text: Matthew 19:23-30 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven“ (Matthew 19:23).

MESSAGE:

The New York Times of March 15, 1931 carried the obituary of Ella Wendel who died at the age of 78. She was unmarried and left a family fortune of more than $100,000,000. She was the youngest of the Wendel family of six sisters and one brother, John, who was the eldest. John was able to influence his sisters not to marry and they all lived in the same house like paupers. By the time she died, Ella Wendel had only one dress which she made herself and she used it for 25 years. She died a wealthy woman, but her family’s compulsion to hold on to their possessions made her live like a poor person. The Wendels provide a classic example of how not to handle wealth.

In our passage for meditation today, Jesus gave His disciples true perspectives on wealth. He made them to understand that many wealthy people would not be able to get to heaven because of their wealth. Jesus also compared the ephemeral things of this earth with the true riches that His followers will have here and hereafter. He said that the believer would be happier and richer by far in the regeneration when He shall sit “in the throne of His glory”.

Wisdom demands we learn from the mistakes of the rich fool, the rich young man and even the Wendels of this world. Material wealth, position and power do not last forever. We must therefore “lay up our treasures in heaven”.

Topic: Fasting and Praying is not a Function of Age [TREM 30 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

“And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day.” Luke 2:37 (KJV)

I have heard many people joke about been too old to fast or too young to fast. Fasting is not a function of age. Whether you are young or old does not affect your fasting. However, if you have a medical condition why you cannot fast, then you can abstain from corporate fast but don’t just abstain, let the leader or the authority God has placed over you know the reason why you are unable to fast.

Our text today talks of a widow of about 84 years who chose to serve God in fasting and prayers. Can you imagine that? The woman knew she had no strength to work again but she did not write herself off. She knew that she may not be able to join the sanitation department or the ushering department because of physical strength, but she knew she could still contribute positively to the congregation where she has been planted. That tells me that you have no excuse. You have been planted for a reason and God has a purpose for keeping you alive today. So, don’t give up on yourself and don’t write yourself off.

Like the widow, find your place. You may not be able to do the physical activities, but you may be able to counsel the younger people and mentor them. You may not be able to provide mentorship, but you may be able to babysit for the younger mothers or run a crèche; no matter who you are and where you are today, you have something to contribute. Even the younger ones, no one is too young to be useful in the house of God. You may not be able to fast till 6 p.m., but you can fast till 3:00 p.m. or 12 noon (for the very young ones). The most important thing is for you to stay connected in the place of prayer.

Topic: Unlocking a Mystery [Our Daily Bread 30 September 2018 Devotional]

Read: Ephesians 3:1–12, Bible in a Year: Isaiah 9–10; Ephesians 3

This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel. Ephesians 3:6

When I came home from work one day and saw a pair of lady’s high-heel shoes next to the driveway, I was sure I knew whose they were. So I put them in the garage to give to my daughter Lisa when she returned to the house to pick up her children. But when I checked with Lisa, I found they didn’t belong to her. In fact, no one in our family claimed them, so I put them back where I’d found them. The next day, they were gone. Mysterious.

Did you know that the apostle Paul wrote of a mystery in his letters? But the mystery he described was so much more than some kind of “whodunit.” In Ephesians 3, for example, Paul spoke of a mystery that “was not made known to people in other generations” (v. 5). This mystery is that, while in the past God revealed Himself through Israel, now, through Jesus, Gentiles—those outside of Israel—could be “heirs together with Israel” (v. 6).

Think about what this means: all who trust Jesus as Savior can love and serve God together. We can all equally “approach [Him] with freedom and confidence” (v. 12). And through the church’s unity the world will see God’s wisdom and goodness (v. 10).

Praise God for our salvation. It unlocks for us the mystery of unity as people of any and all backgrounds become one in Jesus.

Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, for the unity all believers can enjoy in You. Help us to serve together as equal members of Your body.

Unity in Christ breaks down barriers and builds the church.

Topic: Compassion in Action [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland 30 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. – Matthew 9:36

Compassion. That’s the one thing people need more than anything else in this world. They need someone to reach out to them with the compassion of God.

Compassion is a deep yearning that responds to the needs of people. It’s much deeper than sympathy. Sympathy can just sit around feeling sorry for people. Compassion has to do something for them.

Compassion is what motivates God, and Jesus’ life on earth was a picture of that compassion in action. His whole ministry was driven by it. It was compassion that caused Him to multiply the loaves and fishes, heal the sick, cast out demons and raise the dead. It was compassion that compelled Him to go to the Cross. And it’s that same compassion that He now longs to pour out through you.

That’s a staggering thought, isn’t it?

It’s staggering to realize that we believers are the only body Jesus has on this earth now. His healing must flow through our hands and our faith. His compassion must move us to provide for the hungry. It must compel us to cast out demons and set the captives free.

“But, Brother Copeland, I don’t have that kind of compassion!”

Yes, you do. If you have the Spirit of God dwelling inside you, you do—because He is that kind of love! You simply need to activate it.

How? Just like Jesus did when He walked the earth. Through prayer and fellowship with the Father. Look through the Gospels and notice how much time Jesus spent alone with the Father. That time activated the compassion of God within Him. It caused Him to feel what God feels about the suffering of mankind. It stirred Him so much that whenever He encountered a need, He met it by the power of God.

Follow His example. Spend time in fellowship with your Father. Meditate on His compassion until it rises up strong on the inside of you. Stir it up until the desire to see others set free becomes paramount in your thinking.

Jesus has sent you to reach out and touch a love-starved world with His compassion.

Topic: God Recognizes Our Sacrifices [Andrew Wommack 30 September 2018 Daily Devotional]

Mark 12:41-42 “And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.“

Text: Mark 12:41-44

The treasury that is spoken of here is a place located in the Women’s Court that was in the temple complex but was not part of the temple itself. Women were not allowed in the temple, so the fact that this widow was casting her offering into the treasury verifies the location of the treasury.

Jesus used this instance to teach His disciples a very important lesson. He did not say these things to this widow personally. God’s promises concerning giving give us an assurance that this offering was blessed back to this woman in this life, but the widow did not hear His commendation. There is no indication that this poor widow ever knew that anyone recognized the extent of her sacrifice.

Likewise, there are times when we may feel that no one knows or appreciates our sacrifices. However, just as surely as Jesus saw this woman’s giving and knew of the sacrifice involved, God takes note of our smallest deeds and one day, will reward us openly.

The Lord does not judge the size of our gifts by how much we give, but rather by how much we have left over after we give. Men tend to compare themselves with each other but the Lord doesn’t judge our giving by what others give. He judges our gifts by what we have to give. The Lord looks at the heart of the giver more than at the gift. The Lord weighs the giver more than the gift.

When we stand before the Lord, all of our works, not only our giving, will be tried to determine what sort – not what size they are.

Not long ago I visited the dean of a great American university. We looked out the window of his office and watched hundreds of students walking to their classes. I asked the dean, “What is the greatest problem at this university?” He thought a moment and answered, “Emptiness.” So many people today are bored, lonely, searching for something. You can see it in their faces.

One girl home from college told her wealthy father, “Father, I want something but I don’t know what it is.” That’s true of many people; we want something to meet the deepest problems of our lives, but we haven’t found it. David said, “I have found it. I shall not want.” The Apostle Paul expressed it, “I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.”

You don’t have to give up on life, to throw up your hands and cry, “It’s no use.” . . . You can have God’s peace, God’s joy, God’s happiness, God’s security; and yours can become the most thrilling life in the world.

Prayer for the day: Lord Jesus, You quench the thirst and longing of my soul. Praise Your blessed name.

Matthew 5:14-16:

Open Heavens 30 September 2018 Sunday MESSAGE:

I would like to share an important truth with you today. To be effective in your assignment in life, you need both a private and public ministry. In private, you minister to the Lord with prayers and fasting, like Anna and the prophets and teachers in Antioch did (Luke 2:36-37). Many spiritual battles won in the public were settled in the place of private spiritual warfare. A good example to show the importance of private ministry is when Moses confronted the Amalekites in the place of private intercession. Moses was still grappling with the grumbling and murmuring of the people he was leading when the Amalekites confronted them with war. Immediately, he activated both a private and public ministry to tackle the Amalekites. He told Joshua to lead the physical battle, while he and his two lieutenants went into private spiritual warfare. Confirming the popular saying that the spiritual controls the physical, Exodus 17:11 says:

“And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.”

We can safely conclude that there is no success in public ministry without a solid private ministry. This principle is constant and relevant from generation to generation. It also applies to people in business. Even our Lord Jesus Christ combined these two dimensions of ministry, as seen in today’s memory verse. After public ministration, our Lord would retreat to His private ministry of prayer, where He recharged His spiritual battery.

However, private ministry without public ministry is like a sumptuous meal that is not brought into the banquet hall for consumption. As revealed in our Bible text, our light is not meant to be hidden under a bushel. We must be wary of being lopsided as Christians. Some of us even say “I am called to be this and not that” thereby limiting the extent to which the Lord can use us. There is no reason a prayer warrior cannot witness to the perishing souls around him or her. In the same vein, an evangelist who claims to be called to propagate the gospel may end up frustrated without a private ministry of intercession for the souls he or she is going out for. This is because we are not wrestling with flesh and blood when we go out to fulfill our public ministry (Ephesians 6:12). Beloved, God is speaking to you today so that you can fulfill your assignment in life. You can combine giving, which should be done in private, with witnessing. You can combine your evangelism with serious intercession. Make full proof of your calling by engaging in both private and public ministry. God bless you.
