Temptations to commit some kind of sexual sin have become prevalent, but there are still ways for people to recover from such an act and start anew, said Pastor Rick Warren.

In a recent article on his website, Warren reminded readers that “God’s standards never change,” even when it comes to sexual sin.

Acts like engaging in premarital sex, cohabiting, having an affair outside of marriage and watching pornography “always has been” and “always will be” “unacceptable” to God, the Saddleback Church pastor stressed.

All is not lost if people are guilty of any of those sexual sins, however, and Warren has offered some advice regarding what people can do to “come clean” and “start over.”

The Southern California pastor said that the first thing people must do after committing a sexual sin is repent. The mindset that people had when they gave in to temptation has to be changed right away or else they cannot move forward.

After repenting, Warren urged people to receive the forgiveness the Lord will give to them. 

“God is waiting to forgive, cleanse, and restore you. He’ll release you from the shame, regrets, hidden hurts, and pain that come from your sin so you don’t carry them into your next relationship. God wants to wipe the slate clean. The good news is, once he’s forgiven you, you can forgive yourself.”

Scientists have discovered that a “surprisingly powerful and dynamic interaction” is taking place between Saturn, its rings, and one of its moons, known as Enceladus after studying information provided by the Cassini spacecraft.

Scientists observed that plasma waves traveling across magnetic field lines and the rings move to and from Saturn and Enceladus, one of the planet’s smallest of 50 known moons.

The researchers then converted and compressed those waves into an audio file that could be audible to the human ear. The end result of the conversion process is an audio file that produces a kind of “whooshing sound.”

NASA has said that the interaction between Saturn and its moon differs from how the Earth works with its own satellite because of the makeup of Enceladus itself.

Enceladus goes through Saturn’s magnetic field and it’s also “geologically active,” according to scientists.

Beyond just the way that Enceladus interacts with Saturn, there are other reasons to be interested in the planet.

Earlier in its journey, the Cassini spacecraft was also able to detect “complex organic molecules” coming from Saturn’s satellite. This discovery, scientists noted, has reinforced the notion that this specific moon of Saturn’s could feature “conditions suitable for life.”

The data that came from the since crashed Cassini also indicates that Enceladus could be home to molecules that are both larger and heavier than previously thought.

Millions of Americans have dealt with an eating disorder at some point in their lives, and it’s not always easy to identify who those people are.

There are times when even those who are striving to lead healthy lives can be affected by an eating disorder.

A recent article from the Duluth News Tribune details the story of Tara Haakonson, a St. Cloud, Minnesota, native who dealt with the eating disorder known as anorexia nervosa while she was at college.

Haakonson followed the guidelines of healthy living — exercising, eating fruits and vegetables while also avoiding processed and fast food.

She didn’t recognize it back then, but looking back on it now, Haakonson realizes that she developed the eating disorder as a response to the “culture shock” she was dealing with at school. In pursuit of retaking control of her life, she opted to focus more on working out excessively instead of socializing and she even completely avoided certain kinds of food.

She lost 25 pounds during her first year in college.

Haakonson remained in denial of her condition for a while, but a visit to the doctor together with her mother finally allowed her to realize what was wrong.

Things went well for a while before she relapsed back in 2014. That was followed by her committing to the treatment and getting better again.

Currently, Haakonson maintains a healthy weight and she has also learned how to better listen to her body to find out what she needs in terms of nutrition and exercise.

An 87-year-old man in the Ukraine has a large family, a potentially record-breaking one.

Pavel Semenyuk, a retired construction worker who resides in the village of Dobroslav in the Odessa Oblast province of southwestern Ukraine, is looking to claim the Guinness World Record for having the largest family on the planet, the Daily Mail reports.

It was reportedly Semenyuk’s dream to have a big family and that has been realized.

Semenyuk’s family is made up of 346 living members, and that includes his 13 children, 127 grandchildren, 203 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Vira Semenyuk, one of Pavel’s daughters, shed light on what it’s like to have such a big family. According to her, when birthdays or weddings are about to take place, they cook up large pots of food to feed everyone.

Many of the men in the Semenyuk family work in the construction business just like the patriarch, and they sometimes build new homes for their family members who are getting married. 

The younger members of the Semenyuk clan also see plenty of familiar faces when they go to school, as 30 of the children attend the same local school.

Semenyuk admits that he has a hard time remembering the names of everyone in his family, but he can still recall the names of the older members.
