Topic: Difficult, But Not Impossible. Pt One [26/03/2017]

And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. 2 Kings 2:10. Read: 2 Ki 2:1-12

It may be difficult but never impossible to them that believe. Please note that the Word impossibility only exist in two places in this world. First, in the human minds and secondly in the dictionary. All things are possible with God Almighty because possibility is His nature and everyone that give their lives to Christ have been imputed with this nature of His possibility. We only become partakers of His divine nature of possibility (in this impossible world) when we totally surrender to the lordship of Jesus Christ. When all hopes were lost, everyone wailing and weeping over the death of Lazarus, suddenly the resurrection and life showed up and told Martha, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha thought Jesus was referring to the last day. But Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. Testimony ended the story. Jn 11:21-44.

When the rich young man walked away from Jesus, He told His disciples a parable that made them to say within themselves, Who then can be saved? But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matt 19:25-26. But to you that believe, you shall also experience this possibility. Your faith must be placed in the God of all possibilities.

Topic: Triumphing With God [Sunday March 26, 2017]

Scripture: The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I will look in triumph on my enemies. Psalms 118:7 (NIV)

Thought For The Day: To camp with God is to conquer the battles of life; to trust God is to triumph in life.

To triumph means to achieve victory, prevail or be successful over something or someone.

There can be no true success or victory in life without God. Thus, to triumph over the situations of life, you must refuse to rely on your strength and ability. Let God fight your battles for you.

The fact is, life is full of battles. It may be the battle of witchcraft attacks, barrenness, poverty, strife, near success syndrome, failure, depression, stagnation, satanic oppression or the affliction of the body. It may even be the battle to maintain your victory. However, for as long as you completely rely on God, triumphing is automatic.

From our anchor scripture, it is clear that God with man is the secret of triumphing in life. Beloved, you must allow God to have your heart. Let your greatest passion not be the pursuit of money or materialism but the pursuit of God. This is because you cannot company with God and be swallowed by any devil. To camp around God is to conquer the battles of life; to trust God is to triumph in life.

Today, I prophesy to you, you are coming out victorious from any current battle of your life in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: To camp with God is to conquer the battles of life; to trust God is to triumph in life.

1. Determine to maintain a buoyant relationship with God.

2. Trust and rely on God and His Word for your victory in the battles of life.

Topic: Let Your Light Shine [Sunday March 26, 2017]

. . . light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light . . . — John 3:19

The world’s difficulty is summed up in the words, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness understood it not.” The light of Easter is shining, but men refuse to turn to its healing rays for forgiveness, redemption, and salvation. Thus Christ is being rejected by the overwhelming majority of humanity today.

As a result, men stumble on in spiritual darkness blindly toward destruction, judgment, and hell. In the midst of the darkness and “void” at the creation of the world, God said, “Let there be light.” In your own mind-darkened, will-paralyzed, conscience-dulled soul, God can make the light penetrate and turn the darkness of your own life into day, if you will let Him. Many of you are living in spiritual darkness, confused, frustrated, disturbed, and fearful. Let the Light come into your heart by faith.

Prayer for the day: At Easter time, as nature breaks through into glorious re-creation, I am reminded of the glory of Your resurrection! I praise You, Lord Jesus, for Your light which shines through the dimness of my soul.

Topic: Ambassador for Christ [Sunday March 26, 2017]

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ…. – 2 Corinthians 5:20

You are an ambassador for Christ! If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, you have been sent to act as a representative for Him in this world. Just as nations send ambassadors to represent their interests in other countries, you’ve been sent here to look after the interests of the kingdom of God.

Think about that. Everywhere you go you are representing the King of kings and the Lord of lords. That’s a very high honor. It may also seem like a rather tall bill to fill. But God has equipped you to do it. He’s given you His Name and the power of His Word. He’s even put His very own Spirit inside you. And He’s given you the ability to hear and obey the directions of that Spirit.

I heard a prophecy years ago that said there would come a time when men on the earth would walk and talk and act like God. They’d be motivated by His power and His Spirit so strongly that people would say of them, “Look at those believers. They think they’re God.” No, the Holy Spirit said, they are not God. They are agents of God, children of God, ambassadors of God, sent to do the works of God.

I believe we’re living in the day and hour that prophecy was talking about. We’re seeing that army of light begin to grow.

This is no time to be half-consecrated and half-dedicated. This is the time to go all the way with God, to give Him your whole life. If you’ll do that, He’ll give you back such anointing and such power and such glory and goodness that you’ll shine for Him, as Philippians 2:15 says, as lights in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation.

Begin to think about yourself today, not as just another ordinary man or woman but as an ambassador of Almighty God. Let the interests of His kingdom be foremost in your mind and heart. Submit yourself to Him and say, “Lord, show me how to be Your representative in everything I do.”

You are an ambassador for Christ. Begin to live like it today.

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? Romans 14:4

When students from Southeast Asia met a teacher from North America, the visiting instructor learned a lesson. After giving his class their first multiple-choice test, he was surprised to find many questions left unanswered. While handing back the corrected papers, he suggested that, next time, instead of leaving answers blank they should take a guess. Surprised, one of the students raised their hand and asked, “What if I accidentally get the answer right? I would be implying that I knew the answer when I didn’t.” The student and teacher had a different perspective and practice.

In the days of the New Testament, Jewish and Gentile converts were coming to Christ with perspectives as different as East and West. Before long they were disagreeing over matters as diverse as worship days and what a Christ-follower is free to eat or drink. The apostle Paul urged them to remember an important fact: None of us is in a position to know or judge the heart of another.

For the sake of harmony with fellow believers, God urges us to realize that we are all accountable to our Lord, to act according to His Word and our conscience. However, He alone is in a position to judge the attitudes of our heart (Rom. 14:4–7).

Prayer: Father in heaven, please have mercy on us for presuming to judge the heart of those who see so many things differently than we do.

Be slow to judge others but quick to judge yourself.

Insight:

When we find ourselves in a position where we disagree with other Christians, it’s good to remember that God has given us room to disagree and help for how to handle our differing opinions. We can find such help in today’s text. How has knowing Scripture helped you to deal with conflicts?

Topic: Come Out Of Them [Sunday March 26, 2017]

Text: Numbers 16:23-35

Key Verse: “Speak unto the congregation, saying, Get you up from about the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram” (Numbers 16:24).

God is loving; He is a righteous judge who would not give any occasion for an excuse when He is to deliver His judgment. He had never judged any generation without giving them enough warning. Korah and his accomplices courted the wrath of God by challenging the leadership of Moses whom God appointed over His people.

God told Moses to tell the congregation to leave the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram so that they would not be destroyed with the rebels. In delivering the message to the congregation, the man of God prayed them to leave the camps of the rebels. The prayer of Moses worked on the congregation as their hearts were stirred to leave. Despite Moses’ condescension to go to their camp to make them see reason to desist from their destructive way, they continued in their obstinacy until the arrow of God’s judgment destroyed them.

They thought they could escape the judgment of God since they stood at a considerable distance to His glory. But the long Arm of the Lord can reach the sinner anytime, anywhere. Moses specified the kind of death they should die and God harkened unto him. What an agreement between God and His faithful servant! Believers are to condescend like Moses and take the gospel to backsliders and sinners. The gospel message coupled with intercessory prayers will change their hearts. We ought to be like Jesus our Master who spared no effort in bringing the lost back to God.

Thought for the day: Leave your comfort zone to save the sinner from the wrath to come.

Topic: When It Seems To Delay, Hold On [25/03/2017]

Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. Daniel 10:12. Read: Dan 10:11-14

From the story of Jairus the ruler of the synagogue in Mark 5:21-24 shows that God never want us to be afflicted beyond the day we present our case to Him for divine intervention. He cannot stop His ears from hearing and helping the afflicted because, whatever affects us affect Him too as His dear children created from His own image. Isa 63:9. Immediately Jairus made his request unto Jesus, the Bible said Jesus followed him, but could not get to his house until the child was died because there was delay on his way. Even when he was told that his daughter is dead, Jesus told him to hang on. He did and saw the glory of God. As you hold on on God, you shall not be disappointed in Jesus Mighty Name.

When angel Gabriel came to Daniel, he told him, for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days. God heard him the very first day he started praying but had to prayed and wait till twenty one days. Jesus said, ask until your Joy is full. Jn 16:24. Every power delaying the answers to your prayers, God Almighty shall deal with them now in Jesus name.
