Love Your Beautiful Wife

Love Your ‘Own Beautiful Wife’

● Don’t shout at your wife when you are talking. It really hurts her.

● Do not share her love or affection with another woman. It is called Adultery.

● Never compare your wife to another woman. If the other woman was good for you, God would have given her to you.

● Be gentle and accommodating. She has sacrificed so much to be with you. It hurts her deeply when you are hash and irritating. Be tender.

● Hide nothing from her. You are now one and she’s your helpmeet. Let there be no secret you are keeping from her.

● Do not make negative comment about her body. She risked her life and beauty to carry your babies. She is a living soul not just flesh and blood.

● Do not let her body determine her worth. Cherish and appreciate her even till old age.

● Never shout at her in the public and in private. If you have an issue to sort with her, do it in the privacy of your room.

● Thank and appreciate her for taking good care of you, the kids and the house. It is a great sacrifice she is making.

● All women cannot cook the same way; appreciate your wife’s food. It is not easy to cook three meals a day, 365 days a year for several years.

● Never place your siblings before her. She is your wife. She is one with you. She must come before your family because you are starting your own family with her without her that cant be possible.

● Make time to play with her and enjoy her company. Remember when you are dead, she’s gonna be by your grave but your friends may be too busy to attend your funeral.

● Never use money to manipulate or control her. All your money belongs to her. She is a joint heir with you of the grace of God.

● Do not expose her weakness. You will be exposing yourself too. Be a shield around her.

● Honour her parents and be kind to her siblings.

● Never cease to tell her how much you love her all the days of her life. Women are never tired of hearing that.

And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

Morgan Freeman in search of the truth about God

Oscar-winning actor Morgan Freeman says he is in search of the truth about God and he is looking at everywhere possible including churches, mosques and temples for “the truth.”

Freeman has played the white-suited God in Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty, but then, does it qualify him to talk about God especially as he claims he is not a religious person? If not, who is qualified to talk about God?

He said “I have always been fascinated by God. Why do people all around the world worship their God or gods so differently?”

“The Story of God with Morgan Freeman” is a new film for which he’s host, narrator and executive producer. The film premieres April 3 on National Geographic and in Spanish on Nat Geo Mundo.

In this film, Freeman appears to have a lot of questions about how God actually works. Like where do we come from? What’s our purpose on earth? Why does evil exist? And where do we go when we die? As a result, Freeman visited the world’s holiest sites to produce the show.

He travels to religious landmarks in seven countries – including Jerusalem’s Western Wall, India’s Bodhi Tree, Guatemala’s Mayan temples, Egypt’s pyramids and a Neolithic settlement in Turkey that dates to 7500 B.C. – According to Freeman, this gave him the scoop on the similarities and differences among different faiths.

Freeman states: “I’ve sung the call to prayer at a mosque in Cairo, taken meditation lessons from the Buddhist leader of the oldest line of reincarnating Lamas, discussed Galileo with the head of the Papal Academy of Sciences and explored the first instructions for the afterlife rendered in hieroglyphs inside the pyramids… The constant … is that we’re all looking to be part of something bigger than us.”

The Hollywood megastar Morgan Freeman surprised worshipers who saw him at Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church when he stopped by for a Sunday service last December. 78-year-old Oscar winner referring to his visit to Lakewood Church said “In the Houston megachurch I connected somewhat,” Freeman said “I was encouraged to think positive. You don’t just get some things just like that! You have to go do it to get it. God’s plan for us is to succeed.”

“Just hearing him(Joel Osteen) lift I don’t know how many thousands of people,” he explains. “He wasn’t preaching, he was merely saying, ‘God has given you everything you need to succeed in life, now it’s up to you’. Don’t get up in the morning saying, ‘Oh, I have an audition for a job but I know I’m not going to get it for whatever [reason]’. Negativity breeds failure. God has given you tools. God has given you talent, God has empowered you.”

As a child, “well, I think I’m like most people. You grow up with God. My grandmother was a studious believer and a church goer.” However, Freeman felt much less of a connection to God when attending church as a youth. “I went to churches only it never caught hold. At 13, I stopped.”

“We are all in search of our truth,” Freeman adds. “I found that a very unifying and surprising revelation as I was on this journey.”

Sandra McCracken Releases “God’s Highway”

Title Track, First Single “Steadfast” Both Available Now With Preorder

McCracken Joins All Sons & Daughters for Fall Tour

Singer, worship leader, record producer and modern-day hymn writer Sandra McCracken, whose soulful, folk-gospel sound carries influences of artists like Emmylou Harris and Nora Jones, is set to release her eleventh independent studio album, God’s Highway, on Towhee Records with Tone Tree Music distribution.

While Sandra McCracken’s most recent and critically acclaimed Psalms album (2015) has served as a healing balm to audiences globally, sharing an honest conversation about suffering and faith, God’s Highway moves the conversation ahead with 11 new songs inspired by sacred Biblical poetry. A collection of prayer songs, the album reminds listeners that the circumstances of their lives can be both broken and beautiful, and that they can take great hope in a God who is with them even still.

“We are singing ourselves forward,” declares McCracken. “We are singing ourselves out of the shadows. The voices of the saints who have walked this path before us are in our ears and in our memories. And the shepherd’s voice is ever before and behind us, clear and beautiful-altogether trustworthy.”

For McCracken, who spent her childhood harmonizing in the church choir, accompanying groups on the piano, singing solos during the offertory and writing new hymns for her congregation to sing, and who now serves as worship minister for a small, Anglican church plant, God’s Highway feels like a ‘coming home’ to her heart for the church.

“When I wrote and recorded the Psalms album, it was like walking through a doorway into a new landscape,” says McCracken. “After many fulfilling years as an independent singer and songwriter, writing songs about my experiences and relationships, God began to recalibrate my heart more specifically toward writing songs for people to sing together.”

This intentional, communal aspect of God’s Highway is being encouraged through free song sheets and chord charts for the album that will be available from www.SandraMcCracken.com when the album releases. McCracken will also travel coast-to-coast sharing the new songs while on tour with All Sons & Daughters this fall.

McCracken was also joined by All Sons & Daughters’ Leslie Jordan, as well as Joshua Silverberg, to write “Steadfast,” the first single and video from God’s Highway that is available now with a preorder of the album on iTunes. The song calls attention to the faithfulness of God.

“It’s the Tom Petty-language of basically saying, ‘I won’t back down.’ It’s God’s defiance against all that is broken and His ultimate victory over those things,” says McCracken. “And the way He accomplishes that is by His own steadfast, unrelenting, pursuing love. So I am staking everything on that and it gives me confidence to sing it even on the days that I’m not so sure how I feel.”

The album also features the song “Love Will Bring You Home,” which highlights a believer’s ultimate destiny, while the title track, written with Thad Cockrell and available with preorder now, was sparked by a painful day in McCracken’s life. “In the pain, there was triumph and strength coming up around my heart, too. God’s strength was tangibly becoming my support…I know now how much I was being carried. I hope this song goes on with God’s Spirit, to carry others as well.”

The full Sandra McCracken, God’s Highway track listing follows:
01) Steadfast
02) God’s Highway
03) Call Him Good (Psalm 104)
04) Trinity Song (Feat. All Sons & Daughters)
05) Love Will Bring You Home
06) The Lord’s Prayer
07) He Walks With Me (1 Peter)
08) Come Light Our Hearts
09) Be Still My Soul (Psalm 131)
10) Doxology (Jude 23-24)
11) Song For Rachel

“This is a record worth listening on repeat, and it’s full of great songs for the church to sing together,” says Mike Cosper, author and worship pastor at Sojourn Community Church in Louisville, KY.” …Sandra has given us a wonderful gift.”

About Sandra McCracken:
Sandra McCracken’s prolific contributions as a songwriter, modern-day hymn writer, and record producer has brought grace and clarity to her soulful, folk-gospel sound. Whether in a theater or in a chapel, she is a dynamic performer who blurs the lines of what church music sounds like, captivating and inviting audiences to sing along. While many of her songs like “We Will Feast In The House Of Zion” and “Thy Mercy My God” have settled into regular rotation in Christian worship services internationally, she has also had songs recorded by All Sons & Daughters, ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, Audrey Assad, BiFrost Arts, Caedmon’s Call and others. She is further a founding member of Indelible Grace Music and Rain For Roots (children’s music) and has been a guest writer for Art House America, She Reads Truth, The Gospel Coalition, Christianity Today, RELEVANT Magazine and more.

Low on cash? Now there is layaway for airline tickets

Back in her college days, Ama Marfo often spent holidays in the dorms.

Her family was back in her home country of Ghana, and the round-trip fare of $2,000 just didn’t fit into her student budget. She wanted to make the trip, but there were no services out there to help her pay for the ticket.

“I was familiar with layaway, so I was curious why that didn’t exist for flights since they are so expensive,” Marfo told Yahoo Finance.

That question inspired Marfo to start Airfordable, a site that lets travelers buy plane tickets on a payment plan. Along with co-founders Craig Henry and Emmanuel Buah, Marfo launched the service last December and has already amassed a community of 10,000 users.

The whole process is pretty simple. After finding the ideal flight, you take a screenshot of the itinerary and upload the photo to Airfordable. From there, the site calculates the deposit amount,  and applies an interest rate of 10% to 20% of the ticket cost. This interest rate is determined by demand, the date of travel and the period of time between when you book and when you travel.

Airfordable then presents you with the total cost and a payment plan. If you agree to the terms, they buy your ticket, and you pay it off in increments. The best part about Airfordable is that you have to pay off the ticket before the trip, so you don’t have to deal with debt once you return home.

For instance, let’s say you find a round-trip ticket to Spain for $800 and the trip is two months away. Airfordable would charge you a $104 layaway fee, making your total cost $904. After putting down a deposit of $296, you would have to make two more payments of $304 before you receive your boarding pass.

Marfo, who worked in financial consulting for years, believes Airfordable is actually helping people to be more financially responsible. “The concern from some people is that we are like a Payday loan for flights, but that’s not the case,” she said. “You have to pay off the ticket before you travel, so if you can’t afford it, you don’t get the ticket, and you can’t fly.”

In the event of a default, the payment plan and ticket are canceled. The deposit paid is non- refundable, but any other payments made by the customer can either be refunded in cash or used as a credit towards their next booking.

Considering the one-time layaway fee can get costly (depending on the price of the ticket), Airfordable isn’t necessarily for everyone. For example, travelers who don’t need to buy a ticket right away could put away a little money every paycheck and earn interest rather than pay a fee.

Still, Marfo said her most frequent clients are people who don’t have a credit card, and who find a good deal on a ticket, but are short on the money until payday. For someone who doesn’t want to miss out on a trip to see family or a friend’s destination wedding, this can be a really great service.

“If people don’t fit one of these cases, they might not understand the value in having Airfordable as an option,” she said.

As Airfordable continues to grow, the site is constantly evolving. Previously, trips couldn’t be put on layaway unless they were at least two months out. That window has now dwindled down to one month. Additionally, users can now have up to five bookings at a time, allowing them to plan out a year of travel.

Airfordable started as a simple idea to solve a personal dilemma. Today, Marfo says it’s turning a profit, and she hopes that one day the site will include layaway options for vacation packages, hotels and rental cars.

“The overall response has been really positive,” she said. “Getting the chance to change lives by helping people finance travel has left a positive impact on my life.”  …. read more

This Bride Refused to Wear Any Makeup on Her Wedding Day — and Her Photo Is Going Viral

Not all women are fans of wearing makeup, but when it comes to those big, special occasions, even the most makeup-opposed tend to opt for a few coats of mascara and a swipe of lipstick.

However, one women decided to throw this notion aside and go makeup-free on her wedding day, proving that natural beauty can be just as gorgeous as a flawless makeup application. Unsurprisingly, the Internet has blown up over this, causing the bride’s photo to go viral.

The unnamed Ghanaian bride, who uses the Twitter handle @Kofi_Batsa, refused to wear the typical face full of makeup found on most brides on their wedding day but ended up looking incredible for the big event anyway. Contrary to what one might think, the young bride, who’s trending on social media, ended up receiving hordes of support for her decision rather than criticism. Check out a few reactions for yourself, below:

A few, on the other hand, weren’t convinced that she had made the right decision for such an important day:

With so many other things to worry about on your wedding day, why add makeup to that list? Considering that going makeup-free has become a trend these days (remember whenAlicia Keys went bare-faced on the red carpet for the BET Awards?), women shouldn’t feel pressured to wear any makeup at all, even if that means skipping it on a special occasion.  …  read more

Harrowing images show police ‘removing suicide vest from distressed young boy’

Security workers can be seen grappling with the young boy, who is visibly emotional.

The images were taken of the boy in Kirkuk, Iraq, this evening as four men apprehended him.

After a brief tussle, the suspected vest was removed and the boy was detained.

The incident comes just 24 hours after 51 wedding guests killed while dancing at a wedding in Turkey.

The boy’s arrest comes after two other suicide bomb attacks in Kirkuk today.

After attack, which took place in Gaziantep on Saturday, President Tayyip Erdogan blamed the murders on Islamic State.

He claimed the killer, who wore an explosive belt, was between the ages of 12 and 14.

It is the deadliest bombing this year in Turkey.

More wounded are still being treated in hospitals around the province.

“The celebrations were coming to an end and there was a big explosion among people dancing,” said 25-year-old Veli Can.

“There was blood and body parts everywhere.”
