Michael Schumacher Health Condition Latest News: Vettel Pays Tribute to Racer, Younger Schumacher Returns to the Track

Christian Post Report – Sebastian Vettel, who is now competing for Ferrari, won his first trophy on Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia Grand Prix for the current Formula One season. Right after receiving his accolades, the 27-year-old German driver pays tribute to the racetrack legend, Michael Schumacher.

“It’s been my dream, Michael was my hero. All the kids at the go-kart track looked up to him,” Vettel said. “When he turned up to shake hands every year it made our lives. I don’t understand yet how special it is.”

The racer meanwhile took the chance to express his gratitude to the people of Scuderia Ferrari for their warm welcome and the eager support they have given him.

In terms of legacy, Schumacher’s son, Mick, is also reported to be running his way for glory just like his father in Formula 1.

A report from the Daily Mail said that the 16-year-old has returned to the racing circuit just weeks after the 100mph crash in the Lausitzring speedway in Brandenburg, eastern Germany.

As said by the report, he was travelling at speeds of up to 100mph when he “skidded out of control.” Fortunately, the crash was nothing serious. He walked away from the track unharmed.

“Of course we know that his father is a seven-time world champion,” coach Frits van Amersfoort said. “But I want to emphasize that Mick will take the time to learn the trade of the racing driver.”

As for Schumacher’s current condition, it has been reported that the recovery rate of the seven-time F1 Racing champion has been very slow.

Philippe Streiff, a former Formula 1 driver like Schumacher told a French media outlet earlier this year that Schumi “has yet to recover the power of speech” but he’s “nevertheless starting to recognise those close to him.”

Detroit Red Wings vs Tampa Bay Lightning Live Stream: Watch NHL Hockey 2015 Playoffs Online

Christian Post Report – After dropping the first game at home, the Tampa Bay Lightning will try to rebound against the Detroit Red Wings in Game 2 of their NHL playoff match in the Eastern Conference.

Game 2 will start on April 18, 2015 at 3:00 PM ET, and can be watched on TV on the NBC network or online through live stream (details below).

Pavel Datsyuk celebrates his goal against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

It was veteran Pavel Datsyuk who displayed his usual brilliance in the first game as he scored a tip-in in the 10th minute of the first period to give Detroit the lead.

Tampa Bay had an answer as Brian Boyle scored a short-handed goal after five minutes to keep things level after the first period.

However, Datsyuk had more up his sleeve as nifty re-direction stunned the Tampa Bay defense as he scored in only eight seconds of the second period.

Mesmerized by his performance, Tampa Bay could not find an answer and saw themselves failing to capitalise against an aging and lower-seeded squad.

In fact, Luke Glendening scored a short-handed goal for Detroit in the third period to go up 3-1.

Nikita Nesterov answered back for Pittsburgh with a goal in the 49th but they could not find the game-tying goal to extend the game.

With the win, Detroit now hold the home advantage heading into Game 2.

For Tampa Bay, it is important that they get this second game at home in order to restore some order in the series for if they fall for a second straight time at home, the next two games at Detroit could be their final games of the season.

Detroit will look to get another big win in order to have a big advantage of moving on to the next round of the competition.

Real Madrid vs Malaga Live Stream: Watch Online Spanish La Liga Soccer

Christian Post Report – Real Madrid will host struggling Malaga at Estadio Santiago Bernabeau in the Spanish La Liga. The match is on April 18, 2015 at 2 p.m. ET.

Two points behind Barcelona as of this time, Madrid have pulled off three straight wins since their loss to the Catalans late in March. They thrashed Granada 9-1 behind five goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, before visiting Rayo Vallecano and leaving with a 2-0 victory. In their home clash against Eibar, Ronaldo, Javier Hernandez and Jesse Rodriguez scored for the Los Blancos as they comfortably collected three points.

Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale (R) celebrates with teammates Daniel Carvajal (L) and Xabi Alonso after scoring a goal against Borussia Dortmund during their Champions League quarter-final first leg soccer match at Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid April 2, 2014.

With only a handful of matches left in the season, Madrid must continue to keep getting maximum points and hope that Barcelona stumble along the way in order to retake their place atop the standings.

Meanwhile, Malaga are seventh in the league and are five points behind Villarreal for the final UEFA Europa League spot.

Despite the difference mathematically reachable with seven games left in their schedule, Malaga’s form has been less than impressive. They have not won in their last four league games, alternating losses and draws.

Losses to Rayo Vallecano and Eibar alternate with a 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad and 2-2 against Atletico Madrid.

In their first meeting this season, Madrid won 2-1 behind goals from Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale. Roque Santa Cruz got a consolation goal late in the game but the points went to the visitors.

In that match, Madrid played with 10 men for the last minutes after Isco was sent off for his second yellow card. It was an intense game, with six total cards issued on both teams and a total of 27 fouls were committed.

Malaga have never won in the Bernabeau, while Madrid have beaten their opponents four straight times.

Arsenal celebrate after scoring a goal.

Arsenal booked their place in the semis with a big 2-1 win over United in the sixth round of the competition.

In the match, Nacho Monreal scored the match’s first goal in the 25th minute to give the Gunners an early advantage. Unfortunately, Wayne Rooney leveled the score only after four minutes to set-up an intriguing second half. The game was ultimately put to bed when Danny Welbeck scored against his old club in the 61st minute and Angel di Maria was sent off following a second yellow card to help Arsenal overcome United at Old Trafford.

On the other hand, Reading are currently 18th in the Championship and have not won in their last five league games.

In all competitions, their last win was their 3-0 win over Bradford City in the sixth round of the FA Cup.

United have been impressive and have only lost three league games since November 2014. They have found their scoring touch and now look to continue their climb on the table.

In their most recent win and possibly their most impressive performance, United toppled neighboring rivals City 4-2 behind goals from Ashley Young, Marouane Fellaini, Juan Mata and Chris Smalling.

Despite conceding early, United never lost focus and dominated the match to pick up three important points and avenge their loss to City earlier this season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have not lost in their last 11 league games and have only tasted defeat once in their last 16. They are also in a three-match win streak against Hull City, Stoke City and Queens Park Rangers as they gear up for their final matches of the season against tough opponents like Arsenal, Liverpool and United.

Diego Costa is a big loss as the Spaniard is out due to a hamstring injury but the Blues have found goals through their talented midfielders like Eden Hazard, Oscar and Cesc Fabregas.

The teams settled for a stalemate in their first meeting this season as they drew 1-1 at Old Trafford. Didier Drogba scored in the 53rd minute and Chelsea looked poised to get three points but Robin van Persie found the back of the net in the fourth minute of injury time to split the points in game week nine.
