Christian Post Report – General Hospital

Yesterday on “Christian Post Report – General Hospital,” Nina and Franco bask in the success of their scheme as they have managed to blackmail Olivia into giving them a room at the Metro Court. They turn on the news and see the report about Michael and how he’s lost a huge percent of ELQ to an unknown investor. The report also covers what happened between Sonny and Michael which resulted in Avery’s accident. Franco finds the report amusing, but Nina is worried about the baby. Franco thinks that she worries too much about the baby and reminds her that it’s not hers, but he apologizes to her anyway.

Downstairs, Carly and Olivia are watching the same thing and Carly gets upset. Olivia tells her that she’s sure Michael is sober now.

Across town, Ned is also watching the news and heads to Metro Court to talk to Olivia, as Michael says he has no idea how the reporter got the story. Sabrina arrives and Michael says he doesn’t know having just two drinks could make him that drunk. Sabrina asks if his allergy medication has something to do with it, and Michael says that he always felt fine after taking them, except for that one time.

At Julian’s place, Alexis and Julian are watching the report when Kiki arrives. She confesses to Julian that she was the one who leaked the story to the reporter to prove that Michael was unfit. Later, Morgan calls Kiki and tells her that his father has called child services.

At the Quartermaine’s, Alexis warns Michael to brace himself as he could lose custody of Avery because of the report. A few minutes later, a woman from Child Protective Services arrives to get the baby.

Here’s what to expect on “Christian Post Report – General Hospital” on Friday, April 10:

Michael tells Morgan and Kiki that they need to stop scheming for Avery’s sake; Nina runs into Silas and asks him what he’s doing there, while Spinelli presses Maxie for an answer as to if they will get back together.

Christian Post Report – The current cast of ‘The Bold and the Beautiful

Yesterday on “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Maya and Rick are getting cozy in his office when Quinn arrives and gives him a present—a letter opener. Quinn leaves and Ridge arrives. Ridge complains about Rick’s comments on his designs. Brooke comes in and tells Ridge off for taking to Rick that way, he’s the CEO of the company after all. Maya and Brooke talk about the company’s profits since Rick took over, and Ridge, not wanting to hear it, leaves.

Rick thanks the ladies for sticking up for him. They talk about keeping Ridge in line, and Rick offers Brooke to work full time once again so she can deal with Ridge. Brooke agrees to this and tells Rick and Maya that she’s very happy for them.

Outside Rick’s office, Wyatt praises Ivy’s design. She tells him that she’s uncomfortable working with Quinn and that she could do anything to sabotage her career. Quinn hears this and asks Ivy if she’s “talking smack” about her already. Quinn tells her that she gave Rick a gift, and Ivy accuses her of trying to win the boss’s favor. Quinn tells Ivy that they can work together if only Ivy will put the past behind her.

Later, Carter joins them and Ivy tells him about Rick’s rule of designing: always think of Maya’s beauty and femininity. Carter makes a remark about Maya not being what she seems.

Here’s what to expect on “The Bold and the Beautiful” on Friday, April 10:

Atheist Greek PM Tsipras Holds ‘Tense Meeting’ With Russian Orthodox Leader; Patriarch Kirill Tells Him Only ‘Spiritual Base’ Brings Social Justice

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras being sworn in on Jan. 26, 2015.

Christian Post Report – The openly atheist Prime Minister of Greece, Alexis Tsipras, held on Thursday a “tense meeting” with Patriarch Kirill, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church. Kirill told Tsipras that only a “spiritual base” can bring social justice to a nation.

AFP reported that the meeting occurred in Moscow, during Tsipras’ state visit to Russia.

After congratulating Tsipras on his election victory in January, Kirill said:

“I hope that your government will do all it can to preserve the spiritual foundations and morality of your people.”

He added: “Don’t forget that being Christian is not a political stance,” and said that only a “spiritual base” could deliver true social justice in a country.

Tsipras, who the report said was “clearly exasperated,” replied by thanking Kirill for taking the time to “do some research on my personal convictions.”

Kirill and the Greek PM found common ground when they discussed the value of tolerance and a drive for greater social solidarity in society, however.

Tsipras was sworn in on January 26 after winning the elections with his left-wing Syriza party, and became Greece’s first openly atheist leader. At the ceremony he broke from tradition and decided to take a civil, rather than a biblical oath.

The CIA World Factbook states that as much as 98 percent of the country’s population officially belongs to the Greek Orthodox Church.

Back in February, a Greek church from the village of Asprokampos, Corinthia, claimed that a statue of Jesus Christ had begun “weeping” in the form of an “oily liquid,” ever since Tsipras and Syriza came to power.

The church of St. Nicholas drew crowds of people who flocked to see the weeping icon, with church officials reportedly calling on scientists and Greek Orthodox superiors to come and investigate the occurrence.

Yiannis Baboulias, a Greek investigative journalist, said, however, that stories of weeping icons are not uncommon in Greece.

“The weeping icon is an urban legend that resurfaces every now and again in Greece. Stories like this happen all the time, and this one is really funny,” Baboulias said.

“What is really happening is simply that the paint on the icon is starting to leak due to environmental changes,” he offered.

ISIS Executes 10 Doctors for Refusing to Treat Wounded Jihadis in Terror Group

ISIS (Photo: Reuters/Azad Lashkari)

Members of the Iraqi security forces take part in training, as they prepare to fight against militants of the Islamic State, at a training camp on the outskirts of Mosul, January 10, 2015.

Christian Post Report – Members of the Takfiri ISIS group in Iraq executed 10 doctors in Mosul on Wednesday as part of their continued terrorism against Christians and other religious and political groups throughout the Middle East.

The doctors were executed in the Hammam al-Alil area south of Mosul after refusing to treat wounded ISIS members, Iraq’s al-Sumaria satellite TV network first reported. The doctors reportedly refused to do so because they did not support ISIS’ activities; they were then forced to sit and shot in the back of the head. A photograph taken at the exact moment has been widely circulated, confirming the brutality of the radical Islamic jihadists.

ISIS members murdered 60 Sunni tribal fighters in the Anbar province on Friday, and accused members of al-Karableh, Albu Ubaid, Albu Mahal and Albu Salman tribesmen of working with Iraqi security forces before killing them. A struggle between Iraqi forces and ISIS has led to a significant number of deaths: 997 Iraqis were killed in March alone.

The United States has joined in the fight against ISIS by leading airstrikes, but the terrorist group continues it murderous rampage in controlled areas of Iraq and Syria, killing Christians, Yazidis, and other religious minorities. On Friday, U.S. Defense Secretary Ash Carter told a gathering of reporters at a news conference in Seoul, South Korea, that the U.S. has made progress against ISIS but cannot predict how long it will take to win the struggle against them.

“The jury’s still out, but the momentum is in the right direction,” Vice President Joe Biden said at the National Defense University in Washington on Thursday, claiming: “The the irony, the irony of all ironies, is that Iraq actually helped form its government because of ISIL. It actually united Iraqis.”

Religious leaders have also spoken out to condemn ISIS’ actions, and in February, Pope Francis addressed the beheadings of 21 Coptic Christians in Libya.

“The blood of our Christian brothers and sisters is a testimony which cries out to be heard,” Francis said. “It makes no difference whether they be Catholics, Orthodox, Copts or Protestants. They are Christians! Their blood is one and the same. Their blood confesses Christ.”

San Diego Padres MLB 2015 Trade News, Rumors: Padres Pull Off Another Blockbuster Trade

The San Diego Padres have been very active during the offseason over turning their roster and looking for way to get better on the field. That continued as the MLB was getting ready to officially launch the 2015 regular season yesterday when the team pulled off another big trade with the Atlanta Braves. The Padres were the last club this year to submit its 25 man active roster for he regular season and know the reason why has been discovered.

San Diego Padres MLB/San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres remain active on the trade market looking to improve themselves on the field

First the details of the trade: San Diego gets Closer Craig Kimbrel and OF Melvin Upton Jr.

Atlanta gets pitching prospect Matt Wisler, minor league outfielder Jordan Paroubeck, and outfielders Cameron Maybin and Carlos Quentin, along with the 41st pick in the MLB draft to be held this Summer.

This is the side effects of two teams that are over turning their roster and rebuilding. Maybin and Quentin were purchased out of the San Diego outfield after the team traded for Matt Kemp, Justin Upton, and Wil Myers.

Kimbrel was entering the second year of a $42 million our year deal and Melvin Upton Jr. has a little north of $46 million and three years left on his deal. Obviously this was cost cutting move for the Braves as they today designated Quentin for assignment and will look to trade him and whatever amount of his 8million dollar salary they can get another team to pick up.

It is being reported by multiple sources that Quentin was only included in the deal to balance out the money and because the Padres simply had too many outfielders. When healthy Quentin is a above average bat with middle of the lineup skills. However his defense in the outfield is a big minus but he might fit a lot better with an American League club.

Kyle says that he wants to think it over, but Jack says that he must act quickly because their company is in trouble. Phyllis arrives, and Kyle tries to slip away but Jack insists that he has to make a decision now to fight against Victor. Kyle finally says no, but he agrees to attend a charity function that night.

After he calms down, Jack tells Phyllis that he’d really like to pass the torch to Kyle. Phyllis tells him to give him time to consider it.

Kyle arrives at Summer’s place and complains about Jack pressuring him. He says that he really doesn’t want to attend the charity event. Summer offers to go with him. Later, when he returns to pick her up, he gushes about how beautiful she looks.

Meanwhile on the patio at Crimson Lights, Neil tells his son that nothing he can say will help his case. Devon says that he’ll still try, no matter what. But, in this week’s showing titled “The Fortification Implementation,” Amy might be getting some from Sheldon as it was revealed that the two will go into a sleepover.

On the other hand, a report from The Hollywood Reporter confirms a guesting appearance of “Victorious” actor, Matt Bennett.

Kate Middleton Baby News: What Is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s Baby Name?

Christian Post Report – The world is clueless about the sex of Duchess Kate Middleton’s baby. Regardless, many are speculating, and some have even created a list of names the royal couple may choose.

If the British bookies are right about their hunch that it’s a baby girl, the next royal family member might be called “Alice, Charlotte or Elizabeth,” according to one CBC report.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William

However, if Prince William’s next baby is a boy, the report said that he could be named “James or Arthur” – the middle names which he and his father Prince Charles have.

Toronto-based royal historian and blogger Carolyn Harris said it is highly probable that the family will choose a traditional name.

“With Prince George, it was clear that he would receive a name that had been the name of a previous monarch,” Harris told CBC. “For the second royal baby, we’ll probably still see a traditional name, but it may not necessarily be the name of a reigning monarch.”

But perhaps the most traditional name that the public has been betting heavily upon is Alice.

The name, which Queen Victoria allegedly considered “one of the most attractive girl’s names,” has appeared several times on the Royal Family tree.

For the choice of Charlotte, the blogger said that this would be a salute to the baby’s grandfather.

“Charlotte would be the feminine version of Charles so it would certainly honour Prince William’s father,” according to Harris. The name also symbolizes a “very sterling pedigree,” she added.

Elizabeth is of course, another name that people would gladly bet on. It’s an homage to the current Queen and the British monarchy’s longest-serving royal. It would be “honouring her decades of service and the pivotal roles she’s played in Prince William’s life,” Harris explained.

Ed Skrein Signed to Play Villain Ajax in ‘Deadpool’ Movie

Ed Skrein YouTube/screengrab

Christian Post Report – Ed Skrein. “Transporter: Reueled” YouTube trailer screengrab.

Ed Skrein has just signed on to play the villain Ajax in “Deadpool,” which also stars Ryan Reynolds in the titular role.

“Game of Thrones'” original Daario Naharis actor, Ed Skrein has just been confirmed to play the villainous Ajax in the Marvel Comics movie adaptation of “Deadpool.”

Skrein took to his Twitter account Tuesday and posted a photo of Ajax’s movie chair, captioning it “#deadpool #ajax That’s all!!!”

Ed Skrein @edskrein/Twitter

Ed Skrein tweets confirmation of his Ajax role in “Deadpool.” April 7, 2015.

His character, Ajax plays one of the movie bad guys responsible for turning Ryan Reynold’s Wade Wilson character into Deadpool for the Weapon X program. Ajax, being part of the same program, received genetic enhancements to boost his speed and strength, as well as the ability to feel no pain.

Ajax’s character begins as a man known only by one name, Francis, who is one of the enforcers in the medical facility where the Weapon X program is held in progress. Francis has his nerves removed, deadening his ability to feel pain and other sensations, and begins his reign as a bully among the program washouts, which include Wade Wilson.

When Ajax attempts to kill Wilson after a Weapon X surgery failure, Wilson defends himself and “kills” Francis instead. However, Francis soon reappears having taken on the identity of Ajax, and starts seeking out and murdering all the former subjects of the Weapon X program.

Based on the comic books, Ajax and Deadpool get into several seriously bloody fights, which will presumably be carried over into the movie, hence Reynolds’ persistent lobbying to get “Deadpool” an R-rating.

Skrein, 32, has recently wrapped up filming “The Transporter: Refueled,” a prequel of the “Transporter” franchise where he plays a younger Frank Martin, a role previously made famous by Jason Statham. Being cast in “Transporter” was one of Skrein’s reasons for leaving his “Game of Thrones” Daario Naharis role in season four, which was subsequently taken over by Michiel Huisman.

“Deadpool” will also star Morena Baccarin, Gina Carano, and T.J. Miller and is scheduled to premiere in theaters on February 16, 2016.

Justin Verlander Injury, Condition News Latest 2015: Verlander on Disabled List After Spring Training Injury

Christian Post Report – For the first time in his professional career, Justin Verlander has been placed on the disabled list. Verlander strained his triceps in his final Sprint Training start. The Detroit Tigers were hopeful he would be healthy enough to pitch on April 12, but that was not to be. He will be eligible to return April 13.

Justin Verlander reuters.com

for the first time in his career Justin Verlander will go on the disabled list

To replace his spot on the roster, the Tigers will turn to left hander Kyle Lobstein, who never really had a shot to make the big league roster and was assigned to the Triple A Toledo Mud Hens. Lobstein will make the start on April 12 against the Cleveland Indians. Lobstein spent 2014 in Toledo recording a record of 9-11with a 4.07 ERA and 1.479 WHIP.

“It’s disappointing,” Verlander told Mlive.com. “Obviously, everything I’m doing was to try to get ready for Sunday. The days just kind of stack up. I needed to be able to pitch on Tuesday to be able to do that. I just wasn’t ready.”

Now the Tigers have to find a way to get Verlander back into the rotations once he is 100 percent. They will have run through their starting five (four) once this Friday when Alfredo Simon takes the mound in Cleveland. That would leave David Price tentatively set to start Saturday with Lobstein set to go Sunday. The next series is a three-day affair in Pittsburgh.

Tigers’ manager Brad Ausmus said “I can’t tell you where we’re going to slot him in. After Sunday, we can kinda slot him in wherever we want, based on where he is physically and how he feels.”
