Christian Post Report – With the release date of Apple’s highly anticipated smartwatch, the Apple Watch, already drawing nearer, a recent report indicated that for those who are planning to buy the device should first make their online reservations.

A report from IGN cited CNET saying that would-be buyers of Apple’s first wearable technology should bear in mind that unlike the company’s iPhone and iPad products, the Apple Watch won’t be available for them if they plan to just walk into their store to buy it.

The sales, according to the site, will only be made possible “through a reservation system” and this will be true “for the indefinite future.”

“Apple has no plans at this time to allow you to stop into a store and walk out with an Apple Watch, even after the device officially hits the market,” CNET wrote.

Buyers should be able to secure an appointment with a store representative before they can try the device for a fitting, not unless they are lucky enough to visit “an Apple Store during a lull.”

The Watch, which reportedly will cost from $349 to $17,000, will be made available on April 24. Pre-oders and online reservations will start this Friday, April 10 at 12:01 a.m. PT.

“The move to offer Apple Watch only by reservation is likely for two reasons — making sure Apple has the right inventory on hand for what consumers want and being able to walk through the process with potential buyers when they come into the store,” CNET speculated.

David Lynch, director of the cult series “Twin Peaks” that became popular in the 1990s, is no longer directing the upcoming reboot of the series with TV network Showtime. Lynch made the announcement on Twitter this past weekend citing lack of money “to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done.”

His announcement may not come as a surprise to some, as earlier reports revealed that he had not yet officially signed on to the series reboot. His tweet mentioned that negotiations on his contract had been going on for a year and four months. He also acknowledged that Showtime is not cancelling the show because of his withdrawal, and he thinks that the network it still likely to continue, according to a report in The Guardian.

In his tweet, he also expressed some regret over what has transpired: “I love the world of Twin Peaks and wish things should have worked out differently.” He also said that he has been informing all the actors involved in the show of his decision.

A spokesperson of Showtime issued an official statement about the news, apparently still hoping that Lynch will change his mind:

“We were saddened to read David Lynch’s statement today since we believed we were working towards solutions with David and his reps on the few remaining deal points. Showtime also loves the world of Twin Peaks and we continue to hold out hope that we can bring it back in all its glory with both of its extraordinary creators, David Lynch and Mark Frost, at its helm.”

According to the report, all the scripts for all the nine episodes have already been written by Lynch and the show’s co-creator Mark Frost. Fans, the report says, will be disappointed that Lynch who made waves on TV with a series that combined crime and a different kind of surrealism won’t be involved in its comeback.

Production was supposed to start this year, with the series scheduled to premiere in 2016 to commemorate 25 years since it first aired.

News has emerged Apple is geared to unveil its new and upgraded set top box for Apple TV at the WWDC this summer, but will withhold the 4K video streaming technology.

The next generation Apple TV is reportedly making its entrance at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference in June this year, and speculations have emerged Apple’s new revamped set top box won’t be supporting 4K video streaming.

While the upcoming version of the Apple TV will still include a variety of innovative features expected of an Apple product, including online-based TV streaming and A8 chip compatibility, it appears the Cupertino, California corporation will be keeping away from 4K streaming, despite peers like Amazon and Netflix having already embraced the technology.

While the technology innovation leader may be aware of the market potential of 4K streaming, it may have also computed the costs involved in the large scale roll out of 4K video streaming service with as yet unprojected adoption rates.

Set top box service providers and media streaming companies have been predicting 4K video streaming is set to dominate the market in the near future. However, both the technology and the market are still in their infancy, and there is a limited quantity of compatible hardware and an inadequate amount of 4K content available in a majority of households today.

In addition, there is the huge bandwidth requirement for 4K video streaming technology. A State of the Internet Report submitted by Akami Technologies in 2014 found that only 12 percent of global networks could supply connection speeds over the 15 Mbps average required to adequately carry 4K video streaming technology.

Instead, Apple will be focusing on a wider segment of their target market with its refurbished Apple TV, and is even looking into including “skinny bundle” packages in its list of offerings featuring a limited number of popular channels at less the cost. Dispensing with 4K video streaming technology will also allow Apple to offer more affordable service to a wider audience of consumers.

Whether Apple will include 4K video streaming in the future still remains the subject of speculation, however.

Pure Flix recently announced the July 1 release date for “Faith of Our Fathers,” a new film commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War with a star-studded cast.

The moving story of faith and friendship features an exemplary list of talents that include Stephen Baldwin and former “Full House” star Candace Cameron Bure, who marks her return to feature films with the release. Furthermore, “Faith of Our Fathers” sees David A.R. White and “Duck Dynasty” star Si Robertson, who is a Vietnam veteran, among many more.

“So many young men who went to Vietnam never came home,” Robertson said in a statement. “Hey, they left families behind who never got to know those great guys. This story is about two sons on a road to learn about their dads. It’s a story about Vietnam, but it happens in all wars, and I’m proud to be part of a film that helps bring peace to people.”

“Faith of Our Fathers,” which also stars Kevin Downes and Rebecca St. James, was helmed by “I Am… Gabriel” director Carey Scott. And from the same studio that created “God’s Not Dead,” the film stands up for faith, freedom and fatherhood. Furthermore, the July 1 premiere occurs just as the U.S. commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.

“From Vietnam battlefields to emotional battlefields of today, ‘Faith of Our Father’ shows the power of faith in God to transform lives,” the film’s producer and brother of Kevin Downes, Bobby Downes. “Uplifting and encouraging, ‘Faith of Our Fathers’ is an important journey – one that brings honor and, hopefully, healing to vets and families by their great sacrifices.”

Meanwhile, “Faith of Our Fathers” follows two men, Wayne (White) and John Paul (Downes) whose fathers served in the Vietnam War, which raged for almost 20 years in the Southeast Asian nation. A quarter-century after their fathers’ duty, Wayne and John Paul meet each other for the first time during a journey to The Wall, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. Along the way, they discover that not even war can break the love of father and son.

Rumors are abuzz once again that one of the Kardashian siblings Kylie is pregnant with rumored boyfriend Tyga’s child. This is not the first time this rumor has come out. Early March, the Internet was alive with speculation that Kylie and Kendall were pregnant. This was debunked by the sisters themselves through announcements on social media.

The pregnancy rumor has sprouted up for Kylie again. This time, there are reports that her sister Kendall Jenner had allegedly tweeted a congratulatory message to Kylie and Tyga with a photo of a pregnancy test, and the message: “I don’t care what anybody says. Congrats @Tyga.” She however allegedly deleted the tweet soon after. The report in Sugarscape, however, says that the existence of that tweet may not be true.

Another magazine article that cited a source close to the Kardashians that said Kylie Jenner was acting strangely during a recent trip to the U.K. – feeling nauseous, barely eating during dinner as well as getting upset after getting phone calls from her mom and one of her sisters. Sugarscape negated the rumors as evidence of pregnancy, though.

Kylie Jenner has yet to speak up about these recent rumors. Her rumored boyfriend, rapper Tyga, remains adamant that he is not dating the 17-year-old, let alone that she is pregnant with his child.

“We’re friends and that’s all I really want to talk about right now,” he told Yahoo! News. Kylie being under 18 could cause legal problems for the rapper.

Other people in Kylie’s circle may not see there’s a problem. Kanye West, husband of Kim Kardashian, admitted during a radio show that Tyga and Kylie were dating. Kendall also seems to consider Tyga as part of the family already, based on her social media posts.

Sonny arrives and gives Spencer a new boxing robe. Spencer said that Cameron destroyed his life, but everyone insists that the fire was an accident. Spencer wonders why Emma hasn’t come to visit him. Later, Spencer throws a tantrum when his father tells him that they have an appointment with a doctor, and he talks Nikolas into going alone.

In her hotel room, Hayden complains to Ric about not getting paid. He tells her that he can help her out if she’ll help him with Liz. Cameron arrives and he wants to hire a lawyer to protect him from Spencer. Ric tells him that everything will be alright.

Jake arrives at the hospital and startles Liz. He tells her that he’s staying in town. She tells him that Rick wants her back.

Later, Hayden shows up to tell Liz the big news and asks her to stay away from her husband. Hayden also advises her to patch things up with her ex, but Liz loathes that idea. Hayden leaves and Ric arrives. He tells Liz about his meeting with Cameron before walking away. Nikolas arrives and tells Liz that he’ll keep an eye on his son.

April 6 (Monday): Nikolas questions what Liz said about Jake; Ric gets a proposition.

In their last home game for the regular season, the Anaheim Ducks host the Dallas Stars at the Honda Center in the NHL. The match is on April 8, 2015 at 10:30 p.m. ET.

As the only team who has clinched a playoff spot in the heated Pacific Division, the Ducks are also trying to maintain their top spot in the whole Western Conference.

They had a four-game winning streak before their most recent loss to the Colorado Avalanche.

In that winning run, they beat the Boston Bruins, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and the Edmonton Oilers. However, they were unable to overcome an upset-minded Avalanche team when they met in California.

Down 1-0 after a Colorado goal, Jiri Sekac and Rickard Rakell scored in the first period to give Anaheim the lead. However, they surrendered three consecutive points to eventually lose at home.

That loss also broke their four-game home winning streak and they will try to impress their home fans in their final game before the post-season.

On the other hand, are already out of contention to make it to the playoffs but will surely want to go out on a positive note.

They are sixth in the Central Division but have won back-to-back games.

In those two wins, their most impressive performance was an away win over the San Jose Sharks. The match finished 5-1, with the Sharks offering little resistance as goals from Colton Scevious, Patrick Eaves and Jamie Benn gave the Stars a comfortable lead just into the second period. In the third, Benn and Ryan Garbutt completed the route as they found the back of the net.

Dallas and Anaheim have already met twice this season, with Anaheim getting wins on both occasions despite the match being played in Texas.

The last time Dallas won in California was back in February 2014 as as Anaheim have won six of their last eight meetings since then.

Christian Post Report – A.J. has retired from WWE

A few days after winning at Wrestlemania 31, the three-time Divas champion AJ Lee has retired from the WWE.

The WWE released the following statement on April 3 about Lee’s retirement: “AJ Lee (April Mendez) has decided to retire from in-ring competition with WWE. We wish AJ the very best.”

Lee has been in the WWE main roster since 2009. Her first Divas Championship win was the longest in the title’s history, as she held the title for 295 days. She was also Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s Woman of the Year for three consecutive years.

Lee suffered a neck injury in August 2014 and took some time to heal. On March 29, AJ and Paige teamed up against the Bella Twins at Wrestlemania 31.

She married former WWE wrestler CM Punk in 2014, and Punk made some controversial comments about the WWE back in November and he revealed that he was let go on his wedding day.

Just one day after Lee’s retirement was announced, Punk took to Twitter to echo the sentiment of his wife’s fans as he wrote, “#ThankYouAJ.”

WWE Legend Mick Foley paid tribute to Lee in a post on Facebook following the announcement.

“AJ Lee has retired from WWE—and somehow that just doesn’t seem right,” he wrote. “I have been talking for a while about a revolution in women’s wrestling—and I really do believe we are on the verge of a new dawn for women’s wrestling. When that new dawn arrives, it would only seem fitting that AJ be allowed to bask in the warmth of the rays she helped make possible.”

“AJ Lee was a pioneer—fighting her way up against all odds in the WWE developmental system, proving that unique talent, heart, and determination were just as important (if not more so) as the physical attributes that were generally accepted as necessary to find a spot near the top of the women’s roster,” he continued.

On April 5, Lee broke her silence about her retirement by tweeting, “Break the rules. Be a fighter. Any dream is possible if you are brave enough to do it YOUR way. Thank you all.”

Pop artist Taylor Swift and EDM DJ Calvin Harris seem to have declared to the rest of the world that they are dating. The pair has been seen out together the past few weeks, watching concerts and other events, the latest one being the Haim concert in West Hollywood on April 2.

Eyewitness accounts shared and reported in Hollywood Life said that the pair were “kissing” and “dancing” during the Haim concert at the Troubadour Club. Photos were also circulating online showing Taylor sitting on Calvin’s lap at one point in the night. After the concert, they were seen and photographed leaving the club holding hands. Some reports also cited their matching outfits.

Prior to this, the pair made another public appearance at the Kenny Chesney concert last March 25 in Nashville, where Taylor performed a song with Chesney. Concert goers, according to a report in ET Online, saw the pair walking hand in hand and at one point during the concert, Calvin had his arms around Taylor.

Before this, they were spotted at Whole Foods Nashville doing some grocery shopping together, also in matching outfits. As it turns out, Calvin may have taken a quick break from his hectic schedule — he was supposed to be in Brazil for a music festival — just to see Taylor who was rehearsing for her upcoming tour in Nashville, according to an E! Online report.

In late February, the rumor mill about Taylor’s love life was once again turning when she was reportedly seen cozying up with Calvin during the BRIT Awards after party. These rumors however were shot down by a subsequent report saying that Calvin was currently dating someone.

A few weeks after, according to a report in MTV, it was rumored that Calvin chartered a private jet so that Taylor and her friends could watch his concert in Las Vegas.

Mario Chalmers is in his seventh season with the Miami Heat, winning two NBA championships in the 2011-12 and 2012-13 season.

Earlier in the season, it appeared that Heat coach Erik Spoelstra was trying to find the perfect fit for the guard, starting him on point and sometimes shooting guard as Chalmers tried to settle in to his role.

The Heat had drafted point guard Shabazz Napier for added depth but ultimately traded off Norris Cole in a three-team trade which involved the New Orleans Pelicans, Phoenix Suns and Heat.

In the trade, the Pelicans acquired Cole, Shawne Williams and Justin Hamilton, the Suns got John Salmons, Danny Granger, Hamilton after his contract was bought out, and two first-round picks from Miami. And finally, the Heat acquired brothers Goran and Zoran Dragic, adding strength in the point guard position, but placing Chalmers’ role in question.

Naturally, Dragic was slotted automatically into the starting role, and star Dwyane Wade is on the number two spot, which leaves Chalmers in a tough position.

With all the change that had taken place, the 6-foot-1 guard has now questioned his role on the team.

“I don’t even really know what my role is on this team anymore,” Chalmers told The Miami Herald. “I don’t know what I’m supposed to be doing.”

His movement from point to shooting guard has been a result of players being injured and him being placed as a temporary solution – a decision that frustrates and baffles him. Chalmers understands the situation and revealed that it isn’t easy.

“A lot of people are out of rhythm, and you really don’t know what’s going to happen — when you’re going to get the ball, when you’re going to shoot it, you just never know. You just got to be ready for everything, I guess,” he continued.

As the Heat continue their push towards the playoffs, it should be interesting how this plays out, and to see what Mario’s future holds in Miami.

Chalmers’ importance to the Heat was evident as when he played his rookie season as a starter at age 22. He played 82 games and was in the starting five every game as he averaged 10.0 points, 4.9 assists and 2.0 steals in 32 minutes per night.

In their first championship run, Chalmers was also a very important factor in the team as he averaged 11.3 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field.

When they played against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals, “Super Mario” was a constant thorn on Russell Westbrook’s side, with the Heat guard using his size and strength to throw off his athletic rival.

And with LeBron James leaving for the Cleveland Cavaliers at the start of the season, many thought that he was one of the players due to step-up as the Heat started to rebuild past the era of the King.
