Maci with her son Bentley on Teen Mom

Christian Post Report – On Monday’s episode of “Teen Mom OG,” Amber Portwood and Maci Bookout take their kids for their first day of school, and Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra find out the gender of their baby.

Catelynn and Tyler can’t wait to find out if they’re having a little girl or a boy. Tyler, who has always wanted a son, prays for them to get a boy, while Catelynn hoped for another girl. They decide to have a gender revealing party, and at Catelynn’s ultrasound, they ask the technician to put the results in a sealed envelope. At the party, the pair opts to use a piñata filled with confetti. Their family and friends gather around as they rip open the piñata, and pink confetti rains on them—they’re going to have a girl!

Amber goes back to school shopping for Leah with Gary. At one point during the shopping trip, Gary starts flirting with her and tickling her.

Back home, Amber tells her cousin that although she’s confused about how Gary is acting, she says that she needed that and it made her smile. However, Gary’s brother, Robert, is not pleased about him leading on Amber.

Gary tells him that he still cares about Amber and what if he gave them a chance to be together again? Robert advises him to “pull out old episodes” of the show just to remind him that he and Amber weren’t good for each other.

Gary invites Amber over to help Leah get ready for school. On the way to school, Leah tells her mother that he needs to meet Kristina, Gary’s girlfriend. This upsets Amber and while she does drive to school, she stays in the car and doesn’t walk Leah to class. She lashes out at the camera man and drives off.

Meanwhile, Maci is upset because her ex, Ryan, continues to be absent in their son, Bentley’s life. Bentley is starting kindergarten and Maci is worried that Ryan won’t be there. Ryan tells his father Larry that he can’t make it to Bentley’s first day of school because he’s got work. He asks his mother to break the news to Maci. Larry is not pleased with Ryan’s behavior as he tells the camera, “I’m over it. Did you get this on camera?”

So Maci brings Bentley to his first day of school alone. She sobs when she goes back to her car and heads to therapy to talk about Ryan. She says that though she doesn’t want to change how Bentley thinks of his father, she doesn’t want to lie to her son anymore.

“Teen Mom OG” airs on Mondays at 10 p.m. on MTV.

‘The Big Bang Theory’ Season 8: Episode 19 Recap ‘The Skywalker Incursion’

The Big Bang Theory CBS/ The Big Bang Theory

When Bernadette and Howard battle over the fate of his Dr. Who TARDIS, Raj and Amy offer to settle the dispute with a game of ping pong, on THE BIG BANG THEORY

Christian Post Report – After a three-week hiatus, “The Big Bang Theory” returns with an all-new episode which sees Leonard and Sheldon as they scheme to get into Skywalker Ranch, while Howard fights to keep his beloved “Doctor Who” TARDIS from being sold at Bernadette’s garage sale.

Leonard and Sheldon have been invited to give a lecture at UC Berkeley, so they go on a road trip. They pass the time by playing games, and Sheldon is in an unusually good mood as he encourages Leonard to play music in the car.

Later, it occurs to them that they aren’t far from Skywalker Ranch, George Lucas’ famous headquarters, so Sheldon suggests that maybe they should drop by.

They arrive at the gate, and Leonard has no idea what to say to the intercom as a reason for being there. Sheldon yells that they want to play with George Lucas. Fortunately, the intercom appears to be broken so the gate attendant opens the gate.

Down the road, another security gate appears and Leonard tells the guards that they’re just two physicists killing time before they talk about their paper and that they just want to meet George Lucas. Sheldon interrupts and pretends to be the voice of Yoda. The guard declines to let them in but he offers them a t-shirt and a hat. Sheldon attempts to get past him and gets tased.

The roommates are sent to a detention room, where the other occupant is a man who is a huge fan of Lucas’ films. He said that he got caught kissing a Chewbacca sculpture. Fortunately, Lucas is not filing charges so the guard lets Leonard and Sheldon go.

Meanwhile, in the Wolowitz’ garage, Bernadette is rounding up objects for her garage sale. Howard discovers a yellow sticker on his “Doctor Who” TARDIS, and he argues with his wife about it since he never agreed to sell it. Raj suggests that they should decide the fate of the TARDIS by playing a game of ping-pong. Bernadette thinks this isn’t fair since Howard grew up playing the game.

So, Bernadette chooses Penny, and Howard chooses Raj who was a badminton champion in his posh school in India. When Raj appears to be winning, Amy says that he can take the TARDIS home if he lets Penny win, so Raj starts throwing the game. Howard then replaces him with Amy, who appears to be good at serving but can’t return the hits. Then, Amy chooses Raj to play for him.

As Amy is about to win, Bernadette says that if Raj wins, she can have the TARDIS for her bedroom doors.

The episode ends with Amy looking at the TARDIS, which is now a permanent fixture in her bedroom. Sheldon, in full “Doctor Who” regalia, bursts through the doors and says “The Daleks are on my tail, but I left my sonic screwdriver behind!” Amy thinks that she should have really thought this through.

“The Big Bang Theory” airs on Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa Live Stream: Watch Online English Premiere League Soccer

Wayne Rooney vs. Thorsten Stuckmann Reuters

Preston’s Thorsten Stuckmann (left) concedes a penalty against Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney during their FA Cup fifth round match at Deepdale, February 16, 2015.

Christian Post Report – Manchester United will try to win their fifth straight game in the Premiere League as they host Aston Villa at Old Trafford. The match is on April 4, 2015 at 1 a.m. ET.

Louis Van Gaal’s men are fourth in the league and are only one point behind Arsenal, who are in third place. They recently beat Liverpool 2-1 to put a five-point lead for the final European slot.

The win also gave the Red Devils their fourth straight victory in the competition, beating teams like Sunderland, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.

In their clash against Liverpool, Juan Mata turned on a sublime performance with a brace to secure three points. He scored in the 14th minute before doubling the lead in the 59th with a beautiful scissor kick to put the game to bed. Those goals put Mata’s output this season to seven, while Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie still lead the team with 11 and 10 goals, respectively.

Meanwhile, Villa are 16th in the league and are desperately trying to avoid reaching the relegation zone. As it stands, they are only three points above safety and need points as the season draws to a close.

They had their two game win streak snapped in a home loss to Swansea City, when they surrendered a late goal that cost them an important point. Gabby Agbonlahor leads the team with six goals so far this season, while Christian Benteke has five so far in 21 games.

When these two teams met earlier in the season, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw after Benteke opened the scoring in the 18th minute of the match.

However, Radamel Falcao found the equaliser eight minutes into the second half to make sure they go away with a point each.

Despite the score line, United dominated possession and the number of shots but were unable to convert against the stifling defence of the hosts.

Arsenal vs Liverpool Live Stream: Watch Online English Premiere League Soccer

Arsene Wenger Phil Noble/Reuters

Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger reacts as he takes his seat before their English Premier League soccer match against Liverpool at Anfield in Liverpool.

Christian Post Report – Arsenal and Liverpool will clash at the Emirates Stadium in the English Premiere League. The match is on April 3, 2015 and kick-off is at 10:45 p.m. ET.

Arsene Wenger’s men are in prime position to take over second place on the table with a win over the Reds.

Their match is scheduled before Manchester City’s so a win will put them two points above the defending champions and put pressure on City as they travel to play Crystal Palace a few days after.

The London club have won their last six league games and nine of their last 10.

Newcastle United were their latest victims as they won 2-1 at St. James’ Park behind a brace from Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman only needed four minutes to score two goals in the first half to secure three points for the Gunners. He has now 13 goals so far this season to lead the team alongside Chilean Alexis Sanchez to make a very threatening frontline for Arsenal.

Meanwhile, Liverpool lost their first Premiere League game since Christmas in a 2-1 loss to Manchester United.

That proved to be a vital loss as now they are five points behind the Red Devils in the race for the UEFA Champions League places with only a handful of matches remaining. Before that match they were considered as the best team in terms of form after going unbeaten in their last 13 games. They still have a chance to finish in the top-four but an important win over Arsenal is needed.

Liverpool will be playing without Steven Gerrard who is serving a match ban following his straight red card against United. Martin Skrtel will also be unavailable to play.

As a boost, Daniel Sturridge is deemed fit to play in this match after suffering a hip injury late in March.

For Arsenal, Mesut Ozil, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Mikel Arteta are only some of the players they are missing due to injuries.

Their first meeting this season ended in a dramatic 2-2 draw after Skrtel’s header in the seventh minute of injury time.

Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring in the 45th minute only to be equalised by Mathieu Debuchy at the end of the first half.

Giroud seemed to give the Gunners the important away win with a goal in the 64th but Skrtel’s powerful header at the last minute of injury time meant the two teams shared the spoils in this epic match.

San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker (L) drives to the net on Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh during the first quarter in Game 4 of their NBA Finals basketball series in San Antonio, Texas June 13, 2013.

Christian Post Report – The San Antonio Spurs will try to complete a series sweep on the Denver Nuggets when they meet at the AT&T Center on April 3, 2015 at 8:30 p.m. ET in the NBA.

With the two teams meeting three times so far, San Antonio have dominated their Western Conference rivals.

Their first meeting was in Colorado, with the Spurs winning 99-91 behind a balanced attack from the visitors.

Kahwi Leonard poured in 18 points, while Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan each had 15 points to keep Denver on their toes on defence. Six players finished the game in double figures while shooting 46 percent from the field.

Meanwhile, Denver’s offence was anchored by ex-Nugget Arron Afflalo who scored 31 points and shot 60 percent from the field. The closest player next to him was Wilson Chandler with 14.

In the second game, San Antonio utilized the same strategy they did previously to get the 109-99 victory. This time, Tony Parker led the charge with 18 points, with Leonard a close second with 17. Afflalo had 21 points but had enough help with Kenneth Faried scoring 26 and grabbing 14 rebounds.

Unfortunately, the Spurs made six more three-point field goals that helped them win by double figures.

The usual players again came up big for San Antonio in their 120-111 win as Leonard and Parker had 25 and 24 points, respectively.

For Denver, Ty Lawson led the team with 23 points while Faried had 20 in the losing effort.

Stats between the two teams were much closer in this game except for the fact that the Spurs took 10 more free throw attempts, converting 25 as compared to only 15 conversions from the Nuggets.

Furthermore, Denver committed 13 turnovers in the game while San Antonio kept theirs to only nine to keep control of the ball.

Zach Randolph of the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies gives a special needs fan his shirt on Wednesday.

Christian Post Report – The Memphis Grizzlies host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the FedExForum in the NBA regular season. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. ET on April 3, 2015.

Memphis are currently second in the Western Conference with a 51-24 record and are trying to hold off teams like the Houston Rockets and Portland Trail Blazers as the regular season comes to a close.

Meanwhile, the Thunder are holding on to the eighth spot, with only a few games as cushion over the New Orleans Pelicans.

Memphis recently broke their three-game losing streak with a 97-83 win over the Sacramento Kings. In their first of four straight home games, Memphis won behind 18 points from Mike Conley and 16 from Jeff Green. Marc Gasol struggled from the field and only scored eight points but also grabbed 11 rebounds. Kostas Koufos also had similar stats off the bench with eight points and 12 rebounds in less than 25 minutes on the court.

On the other hand, the Thunder lost 135-131 to the Dallas Mavericks and have now lost three of their last four matches.

Russell Westbrook had another big game with 31 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to help the team. However, his 10th triple-double this season was not enough as Oklahoma City could not stop Dallas’ hot shooting. Anthony Morrow also had a breakout game in the loss, scoring 32 points and draining six of his nine three point attempts, while Enes Kanter notched 30 markers and 16 rebounds.

As far as their head-to-head battle this season, Memphis leads the series 2-1 heading into their final meeting.

Memphis won the first two games 91-89 and 85-74, before the Thunder bounced back with a big 105-89 win at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

In their last meeting, Kevin Durant was still available and the current MVP scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in the win.

For Memphis, Zach Randolph scored a team high 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Justin Verlander, Bruce Rondon to Start 2015 Season on the Disabled List for the Detroit Tigers

Justin Verlander reuters.com

for the first time in his career Justin Verlander will go on the disabled list

Christian Post Report – In what was a day full of bad news for the Detroit Tigers, the team announced that starting pitcher Justin Verlander and relief pitcher Bruce Rondon will start the season on the disabled list. Verlander’s time on the list will go back to his last start and he will be eligible to return April 12th. Rondon’s circumstance is a bit more complicated.

This is the first time in Verlander’s 10-year career that he has spent any regular season time on the disabled list. He was scheduled to start the second game of the season for the Tigers, but due to the travel schedule and the day off following opening day, the Tigers will not have to make a roster move or bring in a pitcher. David Price will start the opener with the rest of the rotation being bumped up one start till Verlander’s returns. He is suffering from a triceps strain.

“Me speculating wouldn’t change the facts, and the facts are his arm will let us know when he is going to be able to pitch. I will say, and I’ve said it from the get-go, I don’t think this is an injury that is going to be a long-term issue,” manager Brad Ausmus told Mlive.com. “He said after throwing pretty firm (Wednesday) that he felt better today. So that’s a good sign.”

Rondon awoke Wednesday morning with a sore shoulder. Thursday he had MRI that showed bicep tendonitis and since he is returning from Tommy John surgery, the Tigers are likely to take cautious approach with him. This is the third season Rondon figured to be a big part of the Tigers bullpen and the third season in which he has not made the team out of spring training.

While the starting rotation was pretty much set and can survive without Verlander to start the season the bullpen has been in flux all spring. Without Rondon, the roster possibilities are endless and the team could carry an extra bullpen arm till Verlander is ready to return.

‘If You Were a Christian, You Were Shot on the Spot;’ Christians Suffered Brunt of Terror Attack at Kenya’s Garissa University

Christians, Kenya, Garissa University (Photo: Twitter)

Christians were reportedly shot on the spot during the terror attack on Garissa University College in Kenya Thursday which left 147 people dead and 79 others injured.

Christian Post Report – Nearly 150 people are now dead after four members of the terror group Al-Shabaab launched a brutal attack at Garissa University College in Kenya Thursday and Christians suffered the brunt of their fury.

“If you were a Christian you were shot on the spot,” Collins Wetangula, the vice chairman of the student union, noted in a FOX report.

He said when the gunmen arrived at his dormitory he heard them opening doors and asking people cowering for their lives if they were Christian or Muslim.

“With each blast of the gun I thought I was going to die,” he said.

Joel Ayora, who witnessed the attack on the campus, noted in a CNN report that the gunmen crashed a Christian service at the college and took hostages. They then “proceeded to the hostels, shooting anybody they came across except their fellows, the Muslims.”

“We were sleeping when we heard a loud explosion that was followed by gunshots and everyone started running for safety,” student Japhet Mwala told AFP. “There are those who were not able to leave the hostels where the gunmen headed and started firing. I am lucky to be alive because I jumped through the fence with other students.”

Kenya’s National Disaster Operation Centre confirmed via the agency’s Twitter account that the four terrorists were eventually killed in a face-off with government security forces, but they left a total of 147 dead bodies and 79 injured people in the wake of their attack. Some 587 students were also evacuated.

As families and friends grieved over their loved ones, Mervyn Thomas, chief executive of Christian Solidarity Worldwide, expressed his condolences.

“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those killed and injured in this attack. … CSW deplores this cowardly attack on civilians. The separation of hostages according to their faith echoes previous Al-Shabaab attacks and highlights the group’s deadly and divisive sectarian motivations. This is particularly poignant coming on the eve of the Christian celebration of Easter. We welcome the statement by President Kenyatta assuring the nation of the deployment of the necessary security apparatus, and call upon the international community to support the Kenyan government as it responds to the ongoing situation and formulates policies to address this heinous threat,” he said in a statement.

This is the deadliest terror attack on Kenyan soil since 1998 when 200 people died after the U.S. Embassy was bombed in Nairobi.
