Christian Post Report – Fans of the hit psychological thriller drama series “Bates Motel” Season 3 were still kept in the dark as to what really happened about Annika (Tracy Spiridakos) who was last seen driven around town by Norman (Freddie Highmore).

This week, the said issue could still be put in the side line as spoiler reports pointed out the relationship between Norman and Emma (Olivia Cooke) will be on the highlights.

Ecumenical News revealed that in the upcoming episode titled “Persuasion,” Norman will get even closer with his best friend and while their bond gets stronger, another weakens.

Citing TV Guide’s episode summary, it is said that Norman’s relationship with his mother will wither. A sneak peek for this episode released by A&E even pointed out the romance budding between Norman and Emma. Could this create a problem with his mother?

The synopsis meanwhile added that the young Bates will be asked with some hard questions by Romero (Nestor Carbonell).

And no, this couldn’t be about Annika’s disappearance. In fact, the sheriff will inquire about Norman’s teacher, Miss Watson (Keegan Connor Tracy) who disappeared back in Season 1.

For all the mysteries that have been keeping avid followers glued into the show, executive producer Kerry Ehrin said in an interview with TV Guide (Latin Post) that the “worst” should always be expected.

“I think that you should always assume the worst because it is Bates Motel,” said the showrunner. “There’s no reliable narrator and the audience often has to interpret or project what they think something is. The ending was very much designed for that.”

“Bates Motel” airs Monday, 9 p.m. on A&E.

Pope Francis Performs ‘Miracle’ In Naples; Turns Dry Blood to Liquid (Video)

Pope Francis attends a meeting with youths at the seafront during his pastoral visit in Naples March 21, 2015.

Christian Post Report – Pope Francis has been credited with performing a miracle in Naples on Saturday by the Archbishop of Naples, Cardinal Crescenzio Sepe.

During a visit to Naples Cathedral, the pontiff venerated a vial of blood belonging to the Neapolitan patron St. Gennaro, who was once the bishop of Naples until he was martyred in 305, and it began to liquify. The dry blood turned to liquid after the pontiff prayed the “Our Father” over it and kissed the relic, prompting the Archbishop of Naples, Crescenzio Sepe, to declare the rare phenomenon a miracle.

“The blood has half liquified, which shows that Saint Januarius loves our pope and Naples,” said Sepe whilst showing the sealed glass ampoule to congregants.

The pontiff then joked about his failure to secure the full love of St. Gennaro, known in English as St Januarius.

“The bishop just announced that the blood half liquefied. We can see the saint only half loves us. We must all spread the Word, so that he loves us more!” the pontiff said.

The blood of St. Gennaro, who was beheaded during the persecution of Christians under the Roman Emperor Diocletian in 305, last liquefied in the presence of Pope Pius IX in 1848. Back in the day it was common for Christians to collect the blood of their martyrs and store it with the corpse of the deceased.

Believers say that traditionally the relic liquefies three times a year after much prayer on Sept. 19, the saint’s feast day; Dec. 16, and the Saturday before the first Sunday of May. In some instances, there have been reports of this happening up to 18 times a year.

While addressing religious leaders at the cathedral, the pontiff touched on the importance of not giving into temptation and he also likened gossip to terrorism. He had a special message for seminarians.

“If Jesus is not central, postpone the ordination. If you are not sure that Jesus is the center of your life, wait a little longer,” he said.

Also while in Naples, the pontiff met with 8,000 people, spoke out against the mafia and corruption, and shared a meal with 120 prison inmates.

Ronda Rousey UFC 190 News, Update: Beth Correia Will ‘Leave That Arena Embarrassed,’ Says MMA Champ

Ronda Rousey Reuters/File

Ronda Rousey wins the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title in March 2012.

Christian Post Report – Ronda Rousey, the UFC Women’s current bantamweight champion, is slated to go up against challenger Beth Correia at the upcoming UFC 190 which as reported, will be held at the latter’s home, Brazil, this August 1, 2015.

Aside from the fact that this would be the first time for the 28-year-old undefeated MMA star to fight in an enemy territory, the scheduled bout will also be a personal affair.

Speaking during a press conference, Rousey said the timing has never been so perfect as she opted to defeat Correia in her own home.

“My dad had a great saying when someone needed to be shown what’s up,” the 2008 Beijing Olympics Bronze medalist said. “He would say that this person needs to have a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting. Beth is going to have her own ‘come to Jesus’ meeting in Brazil.”

“I don’t just want to defeat her. I want her to leave that arena embarrassed. And the best way to do it is to come here and to beat her in her own backyard,” she added.

The Rousey-Correia rivalry sparked following the defeat of two of Rousey’s fellow “Horsewomen,” Jessamyn Duke and Shayna Baszler, last year.

“I want to go and fight her in Brazil and beat her in her hometown. That would be the best way I could really feel like I’ve vindicated my friends, to go to her hometown and beat her in her hometown and be total Rocky IV on it,” the mixed martial artist reiterated to Jay Mohr Sports.

“She said she wants to teach me a lesson in Brazil, that she’s going to put a finger in my face — and we all know which finger. But I’ll tell you one thing. She is dealing with a woman with attitude this time,” Correia meanwhile replied in a separate interview.

Tim Tebow Meets Christian Boxing Champion Manny Pacquiao Before Crucial Fight

Floyd Mayweathe Jr. and Manny Pacquiao Reuters/File

Boxing icons Floyd Mayweathe Jr. and Manny Pacquiao present during the press conference for “the biggest fight in boxing history” held in downtown Las Vegas.

Christian Post Report – Former Jets quarterback Tim Tebow met with Manny Pacquiao, a world-famous Filipino professional boxer who is also a vocal Christian like the football star, as the boxing champion prepares for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May in Las Vegas.

Tebow and Pacquiao know each other and embraced when Tebow came to the gym Saturday, New York Post quoted Pacquiao spokesman Fred Sternburg as saying.

Tebow, who was born in the Philippines to missionary parents, posted on Instagram pictures of his meeting with the Christian boxer in Pacquiao’s gym.

The Filipino boxer is preparing for a fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., an American professional boxer who is currently undefeated as a professional and is a five-division world champion, on May 2 in Las Vegas.

He recently recounted in a media interview how his life changed after he heard the voice of God and saw two angels, and says he wants the world to know “there is only one way of salvation, only through Jesus Christ.”

“I heard the voice of God and I saw two angels,” Pacquiao, who is also a politician, told TheBlaze.

“When I heard the voice of God I felt like I died. … I was in the middle of the forest and I was kneeling and praying with my face on the ground and then I saw a light, a very white light and I heard the voice,” the 36-year-old boxer, who has won 10 world titles, said.

Pacquiao, the 14th highest paid athlete in the world as of 2013 according to Forbes, added that he doesn’t take credit for his devotion to God. “I’m really thankful that God has given me this kind of a heart,” he said.

Tebow has also talked about the primacy of faith in his life. “You get bashed against the rocks sometimes,” he said earlier. “But when you have a relationship with Christ … One of my favorite quotes is, ‘I don’t know what my future holds, but I know who holds it.’ I know what my rock is. I know who’s holding my future. It’s easy to get hurried and too busy and distracted from your priorities. Mine are faith, family and football, in that order. When those get jumbled up, you’re putting the wrong things first in life.”

President Obama Delivers a Message to the Nigerian People

President Obama released a message to the Nigerian people to highlight the opportunity that the upcoming elections present for all Nigerians to stand together in rejecting violence and extremism and instead show their support for a more peaceful, secure, and prosperous future.

The Message

Hello.  Today, I want to speak directly to you—the people of Nigeria.

Nigeria is a great nation and you can be proud of the progress you’ve made.  Together, you won your independence, emerged from military rule, and strengthened democratic institutions.  You’ve strived to overcome division and to turn Nigeria’s diversity into a source of strength.  You’ve worked hard to improve the lives of your families and to build the largest economy in Africa.

Now you have a historic opportunity to help write the next chapter of Nigeria’s progress—by voting in the upcoming elections.  For elections to be credible, they must be free, fair and peaceful.  All Nigerians must be able to cast their votes without intimidation or fear.

So I call on all leaders and candidates to make it clear to their supporters that violence has no place in democratic elections—and that they will not incite, support or engage in any kind of violence—before, during, or after the votes are counted.  I call on all Nigerians to peacefully express your views and to reject the voices of those who call for violence.  And when elections are free and fair, it is the responsibility of all citizens to help keep the peace, no matter who wins.

Successful elections and democratic progress will help Nigeria meet the urgent challenges you face today.  Boko Haram—a brutal terrorist group that kills innocent men, women and children—must be stopped.  Hundreds of kidnapped children deserve to be returned to their families.  Nigerians who have been forced to flee deserve to return to their homes.  Boko Haram wants to destroy Nigeria and all that you have worked to build.  By casting your ballot, you can help secure your nation’s progress.

I’m told that there is a saying in your country: “to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done.”  Today, I urge all Nigerians—from all religions, all ethnic groups, and all regions—to come together and keep Nigeria one.  And in this task of advancing the security, prosperity, and human rights of all Nigerians, you will continue to have a friend and partner in the United States of America.

Pastor Rick Warren: What Are the Differences in Seeing With Eyes of Faith, Fear?

RickWarren Screengrab

Pastor Rick Warren speaking on faith

Christian Post Report – Pastor Rick Warren of California’s Saddleback Church, which celebrated 35 years of global impact Saturday, started a new sermon series on faith Sunday, listing several differences between seeing with the eyes of faith and the eyes of fear.

“Faith is seeing from God’s point of view,” Warren told the members as he started his sermon, titled, “Daring Faith: Key To Miracles,” Sunday morning.

He quoted Romans 1:17, which reads: “The Gospel shows us how God makes people right with himself—that it begins and ends with faith. The Scripture says those who are right with God will live by trusting in Him.”

Faith is not desire, although it may lead you to faith, he said, adding it’s not psyching you up or a feeling either.

He read out Hebrews 11:1, “What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen and to be certain of things we do not yet see.”

God wants to open our eyes of faith, he said.

Faith is about “things we do not see,” Warren explained, and said it still has something to do with our vision. There are many ways of seeing or looking at something, he added, and what matters is how God sees things.

He quoted Ephesians 1:18, which states, “I pray that the eyes of your heart will be flooded with light so that you can see the wonderful future God has promised to those he called . . .”

There’s an unseen realm in the world, which is more real than the seen realm, Warren told the congregants. The Bible says anything you see is temporary, and the things that last are unseen, he added.

In Numbers 13 and 14 in the Old Testament, Joshua and Caleb were part of a team of 12 who were sent to survey the Promised Land and report on whether it was feasible for all God’s people to go there, Warren said, as an example. While the two said the land was ready for them to claim, the others looked only at problems and challenges saying the people who live there are much stronger and taller. “It’s a magnificent land but the people living there are powerful, and their cities are fortified and large! What’s more, we saw Anakim giants there!” (Numbers 13:27b-28)

The pastor then listed things that happen when we see with the eyes of fear.

We exaggerate our difficulty and we underestimate our own abilities, Warren said. “We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.” (Numbers 13:33)

We also get discouraged, we criticize and we give up and blame God, he added.

Pastor Warren then explained what happens when we see with the eyes of faith.

Faith shrinks my problem, he said. God is a big God who can work it out; there is nothing too hard for the Lord, he added.

Faith opens the door to miracles, Warren told the members, saying God does miracles even today. “Every time you stretch your faith, God does a miracle,” he said, and quoted Mark 11:22-24: “Have faith in God! If you have faith in God and you don’t doubt, you could tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it would. Whatever you ask for in prayer will be yours, IF you only have the faith.”

Faith also moves God to act on our behalf, Pastor Warren added. He cautioned, however, that he doesn’t believe in “health and wealth” spirituality. But as Mathew 9:29 says, “According to your faith it will be done to you.”

Faith unlocks all the promises of God, and there are 7,000 promises listed in the Bible, the pastor said, reading out 2 Corinthians 1:20a: “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are all ‘Yes’ in Christ!”

When we have faith, God can do more than we can even dream of, Warren said. “Glory be to God, who by his mighty power at work within us, is able to do FAR MORE than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes!” (Ephesians 3:20)

Faith also gives us the power “to hold on in tough times,” the pastor said. Faith takes you through the problem; it doesn’t necessarily provide the solution to the problem, he added, and quoted 2 Corinthians 4:8-9: “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we’re not crushed and broken. We’re perplexed, but we don’t give up and quit. We’re attacked but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up and keep going!”

Jon Gosselin Accuses Kate Gosselin of Abusing Their 8 Children

Kate Gosselin Youtube/file

Kate Gosselin

Christian Post Report – Reality TV personality Kate Gosselin has just been accused by her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, of abusing their eight children, an allegation she has vehemently denied.

The “Kate Plus 8” reality star is under fire from accusations leveled upon her by former husband and reality show partner, Jon Gosselin, who has filed an action in court alleging her abuse of their eight children. Court documents filed at the Berks County Court in Pennsylvania detail the alleged abuses the 39-year-old mother of a pair of twins and sextuplets committed.

In Jon Gosselin’s statement, he reported finding physical marks on the children, who admitted their mother physically disciplined them regularly.

He has also alleged Kate Gosselin left her six younger sextuplets, Aaden, Joel, Collin, Hannah, Leah, and Alexis with a baby sitter for six days while she traveled with the older twins, Mady and Cara, refusing to give Jon Gosselin the option of caring for the children while she was away. She further instructed the babysitter to refuse the children’s father entry to their home, nor accept phone calls from him, or provide him with any information on the children, violating the right of first refusal.

The court documents also contain information detailing the children’s school lunches. Kate Gosselin allegedly packs the same lunch for the children if they come home with items still uneaten. According to Hannah and Leah, they have had moldy strawberries, stale sandwiches and weeks’ old food for lunch.

Kate Gosselin has also allegedly thrown out toys, gifts, pictures and stuffed animals Jon Gosselin has given the children, leading some of them to hide their possessions and live with fear their mother will find them eventually.

Another accusation involves Kate Gosselin locking the children in their bedrooms at night, refusing to let them out even to go to the bathroom. According to Jon Gosselin, Kate Gosselin switched the children’s bedroom doorknobs so they would lock only from the outside.

These allegations have had Kate Gosselin taking to social media and posting angry tweets about the spitefulness of the claims, saying they were dismissed five years ago during a custody battle following their divorce.

The court documents state that Jon Gosselin is seeking additional custody and the option to care for his children when his ex-wife is unable to do so.

‘Stronghold Crusader 2’ New DLC Pack News, Details: 7 New Missions to Include 2 New AI Opponents

Stronghold Crusader 2 – The Princess & The Pig DLC YOUTUBESCREENSHOT/ fireflyworlds

Stronghold Crusader 2 – The Princess & The Pig DLC

Christian Post Report – The awaited sequel to the classic castle-building and medieval siege sim from Firefly Studio, Stronghold Crusader 2, is now getting an expansion called “The Princess and the Pig.”

The latest content offers players seven new missions, a couple of new AI opponents, and unique castle designs found exclusive in the DLC pack.

Returning from the original series, The Pig is known for using lighting attack tactics often carried out by his brute macemen which often make players frustrated.

A straightforward tactician, The Pig often lacks the knack when it comes to castle building. Laden with short-ranged but nonetheless deadly crossbowmen, Pig’s fortress can be easily subdued due to its weak points.

The Princess, meanwhile, relies on her gold to carry out her plans. Players need to be prepared to face the royalty as she approaches her enemy’s castles with multiple siege equipment.

If not countered immediately, these stone-throwing war tools will reduce your walls in no time.

The two mentioned opponents will come as part of the DLC’s new seven-episode missions. Players may utilize their unique characteristics as they can also be played with as allies.

The Princess and the Pig expansion is currently on 33 percent off sale from its original $5.99 base price.

The new DLC will also arrive with the “Blow the Horn, Bang the Drum” update which adds four more new skirmish maps and an improved enemy AI.

Per the Firefly Studio press release:

“To coincide with the launch of our first Stronghold Crusader 2 DLC, we have released a free update for all players adding a new map pack and improved enemy AI. Dive into new Custom Skirmish and Multiplayer experiences on a set of challenging new maps, in an ultimate test of your prowess on the battlefield. Challenge your friends online or go up against improved enemy Lords, updated with more effective AI when attacking or defending against the player.”
