Australia to Implement New Program that Has Kids Wearing Clothing of Opposite Gender

Australia is introducing a new program in a handful of their grade schools that will have boys and girls wearing clothing of the opposite gender and wearing religious clothing including Islamic Burkas.

According to CBN News, 10 schools in Perth will be adopting the “Respect Relationships Program” at the beginning of February in hopes that it will encourage third-grade kids to explore different genders and religions.

According to the Daily Mail, the curriculum meant to teach younger students about multiculturalism and gender fluidity.

The program will also be implanted with high school students, CBN News reports. Ninth graders will reportedly be taught about the sexual relationships of “one-night stands,” “hook-ups” and “booty calls.”

While some leaders in the Western country including, the minister for Prevention of Family and Domestic Violence Simone McGurk, support the new program, others are starkly against it.

Peter Abetz, of Australian Christian Lobby, voiced his discontent for the program in an interview with 9 News Perth. He said, “It will indoctrinate children with the idea that they can choose to be a boy or a girl. Why do boys need to get dressed up in girls’ clothing? Let’s get real about education.”

Christian Prime Minister Scott Morrison also questioned the need for the program noting that he would not want his children to…

How the World’s Most Important & Beautiful Cities Looked 100 Years Ago in Vintage Photographs – Urban Christian News

These colour pictures from the turn of the 20th century reveal what European capitals looked like a hundred years ago.

Some of Europe’s historic landmarks have barely changed since the pictures were taken, including the Colosseum in Rome which has stood since ancient times.

Piccadilly Circus now features cars, buses and an Underground station rather than horse-drawn vehicles but the junction in London‘s capital is instantly recognisable in the old picture.

Others have been transformed, such as the Reichstag in Berlin with its modern glass dome and the Louvre in Paris with its now-famous pyramid.

When the pictures were taken some of the now-iconic landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower in Paris which faced some opposition at the time, had only recently been installed.

Many of them wear the scars of the century that has passed since, damaged during World War II or the Cold War and sometimes put to very different uses over the years.

Reichstag building, Berlin. The German parliament building was relatively new at the time, having opened in 1894 following the unification of the country in 1871. Located near the Brandenburg Gate, it was severely damaged by the 1933 fire that helped cement Hitler’s power and by Allied bombing during World War II. Largely disused during the Cold War, it re-opened in 1999 with the glass dome designed by Norman Foster replacing the original dome pictured in the 19th-century image

Piccadilly Circus, London. The junction in central London looks familiar even in the older picture, with the Eros statue - put up in 1893 - in its original position in the centre of the circus. The horse-pulled traffic has since been replaced by cars and buses, and the Underground station opened in 1906 on what was then the Great Northern, Piccadilly and Brompton Railway

9-Year-Old Boy Empties His Savings, Donates it to Homeless Shelter

9-Year-Old Boy Empties His Savings, Donates it to Homeless Shelter

A nine-year-old- boy emptied his savings account this week and donated around $300 worth of goods to a local homeless shelter.

CBN News reports that Nathan Simons of Rock Island, Illinois decided to donate almost all of the money in his savings account after watching YouTubers donate large sums of money to various charities.

Initially, Simons’ father Ethan was hesitant to allow his son to empty his savings account, but after thinking it over, Ethan decided to not only allow his son to do it, but to also match his son’s donation dollar for dollar.

Simons told WQAD 8 News that he would be donating all of the goods to a local homeless shelter called Christian Care.

He said, “It feels good, I wish I could have it myself, but I have to think about other people sometimes.”

According to CBN News, Simons and his father called Christian Care to ask them what sort of supplies they needed at the shelter.

Once their list was written out, the pair headed out to their local supermarket where they bought shoes, barbeque sauce and some refreshments for a New Year’s celebration, among other things.

“It makes me feel happy and proud of myself,” Simons told WQAD 8, “It’s just hard to give it away sometimes. But I’m thinking about other people.”

Once all of the supplies were purchased Simons and his dad headed over of Christian Care where they were greeted by…

Was George Washington a failure?

Poverty around the world is plummeting; half the world is now middle class; and illiteracy, disease and deadly violence are receding.” So reports the Wall Street Journal, probably to the surprise of many.

We might wonder if optimists are reading the same news as the rest of us. The stock market plunged yesterday after Apple warned it would miss its quarterly sales forecast due to weakening growth in China. The standoff over the partial government shutdown continues, with few predicting that today’s talks will make significant progress.

It even turns out that, according to The Smithsonian, the world’s oldest woman might have been her daughter masquerading as her mother.

Was George Washington a failure?

But, as Rick Newman points out in his book, Rebounders, the key to success is not a lack of failure but our response to it. Examples:

  • George Washington “lost more battles than he won during the Revolutionary War.”
  • Norman Vincent Peale’s wife rescued the manuscript of The Power of Positive Thinking from the trash after it had been rejected repeatedly by New York publishers; it became an all-time bestseller.
  • A 1914 fire destroyed Thomas Edison’s manufacturing operations, but the sixty-seven-year-old rebuilt and modernized factories that revolutionized technology.

According to Newman, “A whole body of scientific research has shown that overcoming setbacks can make people stronger, smarter, and more durable.”

If you’re like most of us, you’re facing significant challenges today. So, let’s ask a practical question: What’s the key to becoming a “rebounder”?

The value of a positive attitude

In a recent Daily Briefing, Dr. Nick Pitts cited a Yale University study of people carrying a gene linked to dementia. Those with positive attitudes about aging were 50 percent less likely to develop the disorder than less positive people.

Dr. Pitts also reported that positive thinking has been shown to reduce anxiety and improve overall…

Joyce Meyer Devotional 4 January 2019 — Living Large

Topic: Living Large [Joyce Meyer Devotional 4 January 2019]

And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. — 2 Corinthians 9:8

When I feel like my “get up and go” has got up and gone, I purposely stir myself up through aggressive expectation!

God is the God of abundance, the one who wants us to live a large, free, and full life.

Dare to have big faith, big plans, and big ideas, because God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above and beyond all that you can ever dare to hope, ask, or think (see Ephesians 3:20 AMPC).

It is time to start asking God to do greater things! Have great expectations!

Don’t be afraid to ask God for big things. The truth is that you cannot ask for too much as long as your heart is right and you are willing to not only be blessed by God, but also be a blessing everywhere you go.

The Bible says God is searching for those in whom He can show Himself strong (see 2 Chronicles 16:9), and it can be you if you are willing to believe. You don’t need a perfect performance to qualify for God’s best; just love Him with all your heart. Don’t settle for less than the best life that you can have.

Prayer Starter: Amazing heavenly Father, I am humbled that You want to offer me an abundant life. I know that I don’t deserve Your goodness, but I do ask in faith that You would do great things for and through me. Thank You! In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

TREM Devotional 4 January 2019 – The Million-Dollar Question

Topic: The Million-Dollar Question [TREM Devotional 4 January 2019]

“What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?” Romans 6:1 KJV

Each time the gospel of Grace is taught, the average religious mind would always come with the question: ‘Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound?’ The answer is capital NO. When Jesus paid the price, what He actually did was to remove the law; and when there is no law, there is no sin because sin is nothing but the breaking of the law.

Are we now lawless? Far from it. But what governs the believer is no longer the law but the love of God. The believer who has experienced grace understands the love of God and lives his or her life in a constant reminder of the love of God. When you come to this point, you are overwhelmed by the love of God that all that you want to do is to please Him.

Have you seen a couple who are so in love with each other? You will discover that their hearts literally beat as one. They do things for each other out of a heart of love. They do not cheat on each other, not because the Bible says you should not commit adultery, but because they so love each other. Every time you see them talking, they practically talk about any and everything and in this era of telecommunication, they use it to the maximum, just to enjoy a close walk one with another.

That is exactly the type of relationship God wants from us. He wants you to be so in love with Him that all you want to do, at every point in time, is to please Him. Your ears are to His mouth, you are led by His Spirit and you gladly do the things that He desires of you, not because there is a law, but because there is the strong bond of love.

MFM Daily Devotional 4 January 2019 – Mercy Triumphs Over Judgement

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 4 January 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Mercy Triumphs Over Judgement

TOPIC: Mercy Triumphs Over Judgement (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 4 January 2019)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Matthew 5:7-12

MEMORY VERSE: “For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.” – James 2:13

The MESSAGE:

The book of James is a letter from Apostle James to the Church about practical Christian living. It deals with how to respond to God and how to maintain Christ-like relationship with others. In the Beatitudes, Jesus proclaims, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will obtain mercy (Matthew 5:7). In James 2:13, our Memory Verse for today, Apostle James gives the opposite of the statement. In essence, Apostle James is saying, “Cursed are the unmerciful, for they will be shown no mercy.” The truth is that a Christian is not under God’s curse but is expected to show mercy and compassion toward others. What does “mercy triumph over judgement” mean? It means that mercy rejoices, glories and boasts against judgement. Whenever mercy conflicts with Judgement concerning us, mercy will win. As children of God in Christ, God’s mercy toward us will triumph over His judgement of us (Romans 8:1). Our sins may stand against us, the accuser may level charges before the throne of God against us, but Christ is our Advocate, who argues for us and prevents us from receiving the judgement we deserve.

God’s message to us in James 2:13, therefore, is that since God judges us with mercy and deals with us with his lovingkindness, we too should judge with mercy and appreciate God’s lovingkindness by demonstrating same to others.

How do we show mercy to others? This injunction requires action not talk. Jesus is our model of mercy. He demonstrated His love and mercy towards us by practically laying down His life for us. On our parts, showing mercy to others require that we take an action. We must walk the talk. The blind, the lame, the oppressed came to Jesus, asking Him for mercy because He had the reputation of showing mercy. We should emulate Jesus. In the Parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus taught us that the Samaritan had compassion on the man and took steps to get him medical treatment so that he could live. When you feed the poor, clothe the naked and provide shelter to the homeless, you are showing mercy. Your action will not go unrewarded. Heaven will shower mercy on you as well.

Beloved, you may not be able to do all this in your power, but you will, if you ask for the help and enabling of the Holy Spirit. Whatever you may be passing through today, connect the mercy of God. Cry for mercy; approach the throne of grace boldly and obtain mercy and help! It is yours for the asking because you have an Advocate –Jesus Christ!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
SHOW MERCY TO OTHERS SO THAT YOU CAN RECEIVE GOD’S MERCY.

PROPHETIC WORD:
May the covering of grace over you and your family never be removed.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. O Lord, forgive me for the times I have been ungrateful to You, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I repent of my murmurs and complaints, in the name of Jesus.
  3. O Lord, help me to be merciful to others, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. You spirit of ingratitude, lose your hold over my life, in the name of Jesus.
  5. I will not be a hindrance to my blessings, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Holy Spirit, help me to increase my trust in God’s word, in the name of Jesus.
  7. My blessings shall be perfected, in the name of Jesus.
