MESSAGE TOPIC: THE POWER OF THE BLESSING

SERVICE OBJECTIVE: Understanding the power of the Blessing

One of the most powerful forces of the earth is the force of the Blessing. It is heavier than the force of money or of human connection (Gen. 1:28; 9:1)

The difference between a blessed person and an unblessed person is like the difference between daylight and nighttime; drastic! (1Chron. 4:9-10; 2:55)

WHAT POWER IS INSIDE THE BLESSING?

1. The Blessing is behind the making of the blessed (Prov. 10:22; Gen. 12:1; 13:2; Gen. 26:1, 12; Jer. 9:23-24)
Blessing makes people and Blessing-made people are superior to effort-made people
Blessing-made people stand out where others stand down.

1a. The Blessing processes and manufactures people from the realm of smallness to greatness, from the realm of emptiness to fullness (Prov. 10:22; Gen. 12:1; 13:2)

1b. The destiny and prosperity of Blessing-made people are independent of external circumstances (Gen. 26:1, 12; Jer. 9:23-24)

If you tie your life to a system, you die with that system; when men say they are cast down you cannot be cast down because you are tied to a system that cannot be cast down

1c. The destiny and outcome of Blessing-made people do not lie in the hands of mortal man
Anything (positive) you need to do to attain the Blessing, do it!

2. The Blessing fertilizes the mentality of the blessed (Gen. 41:39-44; Eccl. 8:1; Prov. 21:5; Gen. 26:18; 26:1, 12; Eph. 1:3; Gen. 30:37-38)
Blessed people are ‘enwisened’ the blessing
Mental fertility is a major product of the Blessing
Divine wisdom is a by-product of Divine Blessing
You cannot claim to be a New Testament Israeli and be a dullard!

DIMENSIONS OF MENTAL FERTILITY PRODUCED BY THE BLESSING:

2a. The Blessing produces productive reasoning, which is also wealth-producing reasoning (Prov. 21:5; Gen. 26:18; 26:1, 12; Eph. 1:3)

2b. The Blessing produces creative reasoning (Gen. 30:37-38)
Anyone married to tradition can never experience transformation; the way it has always been done is the enemy of the way it could ever be done.
Don’t let anybody tell you that it can’t be done!

2c. The Blessing produces strategic reasoning (solution-providing reasoning) (Gen. 41:39-44)
Strategic reasoning is the secret of dynamic existence; when you become strategic your life becomes dynamic; your life begins to flow

3. The Blessing accelerates the life and destiny of the blessed (Gen. 26:1, 12-13)
Blessed people can never be victims of stagnation
The Blessing places a man’s life on autopilot; it places people in the speed lane of life
When you are blessed, you are not permitted to be stranded; the blessing forbids ‘strandation’

HOW THE BLESSING MAKES YOUR LIFE TO ACCELERATE:

3a. The Blessing takes the limits off of life, it takes the brakes off (Gen. 26:1,12-13)
The same way that light is the answer to the night, in that same way the blessing is the cure for the curse

3b. The Blessing powers lives and destinies unto progress
The Blessing on your life is like a Blessing engine (‘blessingator’). It powers your life

3c. The Blessing dismantles oppositions and obstacles to life’s progress

4. The Blessing is a preservative for the life and destiny of the blessed (Isa. 65:8)
Blessed people can never be victims of stagnation
A blessed person is not an easily perishable entity

HOW THE BLESSING PRESERVES YOUR LIFE:

4a. The Blessing makes the blessed impregnable and indestructible (Isa. 65:8; Ps. 105:14-15; Prov. 23:7)

4b. The Blessing establishes the Divine hedge of protection around the life of the blessed (Job 1:1-10; Zech. 2:5)

4c. The Blessing imparts unbeatable strength and might on the life of the blessed making them indomitable and undefeatable (Gen. 26:16)

5. The Blessing establishes the generation of the blessed (Ps. 112:1-2)
The blessed man is great and his children can’t be small; you are not permitted to be a father of vagabonds or mother of jezebels

HOW THE BLESSING ESTABLISHES THE GENERATION OF THE BLESSED:

5a. The Blessing imparts greatness and success on the seed of the blessed (Ps. 127:3-5)
Revelation is the fuel for faith

5b. The impact of the Blessing transcends the generation of the blessed (Prov. 13:22)
Blessed people live beyond themselves

5c. The Blessing imparts durability and longevity to both the blessed and their products
God blesses people to last!

6. The Blessing is a guarantee of fulfilment for the blessed (Prov. 10:22)
It is not what happens to you or around you but what happens in you that determines your destiny

HOW THE BLESSING GUARANTEES FULFILLMENT FOR THE BLESSED:

6a. The Blessing releases a fountain of joy in the blessed (Gen. 40:6-7)

6b. The Blessing forbids the cycle of negativity and adversity
When you are blessed, people like you without provocation

6c. The Blessing facilitates the occurrence of positive events and results that guarantee fulfilment

WHAT TO DO TO ATTRACT THE BLESSING:

1. The maintenance of the lifestyle of integrity (Ps. 24:4-6; Job 1:1;20:4-5)
This is namely, financial integrity
If the Blessing of God is ever your desire, look away from what is not yours; anything that is not yours does not add anything to you
Crookedness is doorway to wretchedness
Anything God has not given to you does not add to you, it takes from you!
Iniquity is a destroyer of possibilities; crookedness is the enemy of blessedness
Until you are different from the world, you cannot make a difference in the world
If your hands are not clean, the blessing is not yours

2. The pursuit of God (Ps. 24:6; Matt. 6:33)
The place you give to God determines the place He gives to you on the earth
Come to the point where everyone, even those who hate you know that God is your number one priority
When the devil wants to deny you your garden, he tempts you with an apple

3. The lifestyle of giving and sacrifice (Mal. 3:10; Gen. 8:22; 9:1; Luke 4:38; Acts 20:35)
No major consumer can be blessed by God
Generosity is doorway to genuine prosperity

4. Existence as a Blessing (Gen. 12:2)
What you make happen for others God will make happen for you

5. Connection and submission to blessed spiritual authority (Heb. 7:7; 2 Chron. 20:20b)
When you are connected to a blessing, it is like being connected by genetics – an elephant can never give birth to an antelope
The Blessing you see around your life is as strong as the Blessing over your life
You cannot be connected to a crocodile and die like a wall gecko! – Dr Paul Enenche

PRAYER:

Father, I come before You today to thank You for Your goodness and mercies. Today, I confirm my spiritual connection to the Blessing of this altar. I receive the grace to fulfil the demands of the Blessing, in Jesus’ Name.

COMMUNION FOCUS (1 COR. 10:16):

Communion of the Blessing. Every Blessing pronounced and yet to be pronounced are transferred to you via this communion

PROPHETIC PARENTAL BLESSINGS:

1. I prophesy on you today, the Blessing of God that is behind the making of men; everyone who is in emptiness today, I declare your processing into fullness in the Name of Jesus.

2. I prophesy mental fertility, Divine ideas, world-changing ideas, receive them, in Jesus’ Name

3. I prophesy upon you today, acceleration for your life and destiny; every demon of slow motion and spirit of delay, their yokes are broken in the Name of Jesus.

4. I prophesy preservation on your life and destiny, whoever and whatever is looking for you to destroy you, they shall be destroyed!

5. I declare the establishment of your generation; you cannot have useless children! You cannot have children that are a liability or a burden. I declare your children shall make God proud, make you proud, and make their generation proud in Jesus’ Name.

6. I prophesy your fulfilment. Everything that is a cause of sorrow, frustration, and depression in your life and around your life, they die right now in the Name of Jesus.

7. Receive grace for upright living, grace for the pursuit of God, grace for the lifestyle of giving and sacrifice; grace to exist as a blessing; and grace to connect the Blessings of the blessed are released upon you

PROPHETIC PARENTAL BLESSINGS (MUMMY):

By this blessing pronouncement today, the month is open to you! The limitations of your life are over. It is your season of rising and increase; your days of smallness and littleness are over. Lack and stagnation are over in Jesus’ Name

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
– Your God will not fail you! He doesn’t know how to fail and your situation will not make Him a failure
– That journey ahead of you, you shall get there! Every empty handedness has come to an end!
– Any human being playing God in your life, today that agenda expires! They will never be able to determine your life, destiny and future
– Everyone who sees you will acknowledge you that something has changed in your life!
– Every devil saying no to you shall bow!
– Whatever is trying to waste your seed is wasted today in Jesus’ Name
– Anyone plotting to take you out before your time, God shall wipe them out in Jesus’ Name
– You will never die a sudden, painful or tragic death in Jesus Name
– Whatever the enemy took from you, I prophesy they lose their sleep and peace and rest until they return it from where they took it in Jesus’ Name
– Something is coming out of your life that will terminate your scarcity, stagnation and empty handedness

Handling Offences by David Ibiyeomie

Topic: Handling Offences

Offence is something that makes somebody feel upset, annoyed or insulted. You cannot have an unforgiving spirit and expect to excel in life.

Mark 11:25 (KJV) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

When you want to pray, the first thing you must do is to forgive people who had hurt you. As long as you are a child of God, you must surely see offences.

Matthew 18:7 (KJV) Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

People must offend you but as a wise person you have to ignore such offences. Forgiveness is not something you do for other people, it what you do for yourself to help you go forward. The more you forgive, the more you go forward and the more you get well.

Offence serves as a retarding factor to progress in the life of a Christian. Once you possess a nature of offence, you can never go forward in life. Learn to always guide your heart from offences.

Proverbs 4:23 (KJV) Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Similarly, you cannot be offended with God and expect a blessing. When you are offended with God, you cannot be defended by Him.

Isaiah 45:9 (KJV) Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker!

When there is a woe, there can never be a way. Being angry at God amounts to spiritual rascality for the creature to be angry at his creator. Offence is a thing of the heart; you do not have to say it. In the kingdom of God, He does not lack who to serve Him. If you are called upon to serve, it is a privilege.

1 Corinthians 10:32 (KJV) Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God.

If you get offended with the church, you cannot be blessed. Be joyful to give and serve. God passes through His servants to bless your life. Your grace is not at work in his (God’s servant) life, but his grace is at work in your life. The words coming from God’s servant is the word of God. Everything in the Bible is the word of God and anything you doubt or analyze is an offence against the word of God.

Also you cannot bear grudge against your spouse and expect God to answer your prayers; it will be hindered.

1 Peter 3:7 (KJV) Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Finally as child of God, live a life that is void of offences with everyone you come in contact with.

Acts 24:16 (KJV) And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men.

God expects your mind to be free of offence so that when inspiration comes, you can receive it. When your mind is occupied with offence, no blessings will come your way. Offence hinders your being sensitive to the voice of God; it also creates a barrier to answered prayers.

Begin today to start forgiving and walking in an offence-free life.

Do you know why so many believers are losing the battles in their lives?

They’re fighting the wrong enemy!

They’ve been deceived into believing that just because a person said or did something to hurt them, that person is the one they need to fight. But they’re wrong.

You see, the Bible says we don’t wrestle with flesh and blood. And since people are definitely flesh and blood, they’re never the source of our problem.

“But, Brother Copeland, you just don’t know what So-and-so did to me!”

It doesn’t matter. If you waste your time fighting So-and-so, your real enemy will get away scot-free.

Who is that real enemy? Look at Ephesians 6:12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Satan and his demons. They are your lifelong enemies! They are behind every personal affront you encounter.

The people who hurt you and persecute you are only Satan’s tools. When he wants to strike out at you, he uses them to get the job done.

Remember this: Persecution is not the manifestation of another person’s hate for you. It’s a manifestation of Satan’s fear of you. When you get into the Word and start swinging it around—using it like the sword of the Spirit it is—he gets scared. So he looks for some person he can send in there to stop you.

Next time someone hurts you, don’t let yourself get sidetracked into fighting them. Bind the spirit behind them. Put flesh-and-blood battles behind and war with the weapons of the Spirit. Zero in on Satan with authority and the Word of God and bring your real enemy down!

John 17:24 “Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.“

God the Father had the plan of salvation worked out before He even created the world. Most of us would not have created the world and man if we knew the heartache and terrible sacrifice it would cost. But God is not man. In His judgment (which is the correct judgment) the prize was worth the cost.

We were chosen in Christ before the world began. The Lord did not choose us by our merit, but solely by our acceptance of Christ which His foreknowledge allowed Him to do before the foundation of the world. In the strictest sense, we were not personally chosen, but Christ was chosen and all those who are “in Christ” partake of His being chosen by His Father. Just as we are the beneficiaries of the covenant between God the Father and His Son Jesus, so we are chosen because we chose God’s chosen, i.e. Christ. The Father would no more reject us than He would reject Jesus because we are accepted by the Father through Christ.

None of us can claim that we are without blame in the sight of men because man looks on the outward appearance (1 Sam. 16:7) and all of us have sinned (Rom. 3:23). But the Lord looks on our born-again spirit which has been regenerated in Christ and He sees us holy and without blame.

If you look at any color through a red glass, that color becomes red. The same thing would happen if you looked through a green glass. Everything would become green. In a similar way, God looks at us through Christ and everything in our life becomes covered by the blood of Jesus. We are holy and without blame before Him because of His love expressed through His Son.

Topic: Leverage On Your New Birth [TREM Devotional 5 November 2018]

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

Often, we think that the new birth is simply about getting saved and going to heaven. No! The moment you gave your heart to Christ, you became very important to heaven. You became a new species of being that never existed before. You became a royal priesthood, a peculiar people, a holy nation and the apple of God’s eye. Things cannot just happen to you. You have become too valuable for the enemy to toss about. If God be for you, who can be against you?

It is ignorance that is destroying the church. God is not in trouble. The last time I checked, He is sitting down. You only sit when you have finished what you’re doing. Jesus said it is FINISHED! It is finished and the work is completed. He is sitting relaxed at the right hand of the Father knowing full well that, no matter what, whatever the devil does is a waste of time. So your victory is already guaranteed. The devil cannot undo in time what God has perfected in eternity. God is not going to do it, He has already done it.

What is wrong with us believers is that we fail to receive. As believers, we don’t believe what we have seen. For we walk by faith and not by sight. For instance, if you are wearing a purple dress, I can’t say I believe you are wearing a purple dress. I know I am seeing it! You believe what you have not seen. That is why the Holy Spirit gave the name believers to the church. We have not seen it but we believe. If we understand this, we should also apply it to spiritual things. Take advantage of the new birth in Christ. Appropriate all that has been provided as a result of His death, burial and resurrection and enforce your victory on earth. God bless you.

Give your servant a discerning heart. 1 Kings 3:9

A man filed a lawsuit against a woman, claiming she had his dog. In court, the woman said her dog couldn’t be his and told the judge where she had purchased it. The real owner’s identity was revealed when the judge released the animal in the courtroom. Tail wagging, it immediately ran to the man!

Solomon, a judge in ancient Israel needed to settle a somewhat similar issue. Two women each claimed to be the mother of the same baby boy. After considering both arguments, he requested a sword to divide the infant in half. The real mother begged Solomon to give the baby to the other woman, choosing to save her son’s life even if she could not have him (1 Kings 3:26). Solomon gave the baby to her.

Wisdom is necessary as we decide what’s fair and moral, right and wrong. If we truly value wisdom, we can ask God for a discerning heart, like Solomon did (v. 9). God may answer our request by helping us balance our needs and desires with the interests of others. He may also help us weigh short-term benefits against long-term (sometimes eternal) gains so we can honor Him in how we live.

Our God is not only a perfectly wise judge, but He is also a personal counselor who is willing to give us godly wisdom in great amounts (James 1:5).

Prayer: I worship You, God, as the true source of wisdom. Please show me how to make choices that bring honor to Your name.

Scripture: Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob; Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters. Psalms 114:7-8

Thought For The Day: The atmosphere of God’s Presence is the atmosphere of all possibilities.

It has been confirmed that the Presence of God is the greatest asset of a person on earth. The atmosphere of God’s Presence is the atmosphere of all possibilities; anywhere God is present, everything is possible, because with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26b). Therefore, it is very vital to look at the Power of God’s Presence.

Now, the question is, how powerful is the Presence of God?
1. The Presence of God creates a way where there is no way
The Presence of God is a Way-Creator. For instance, God’s Presence created a way in the Red Sea (Exodus 14:15-22).

2. The Presence of God uproots obstacles and mountains (Psalm 114:4). Mountains cannot survive the Presence of God; obstacles are destroyed in God’s Presence.

Now, according to Psalm 114:1-8, what are the factors that enhance access to God’s Presence?
1. Separation from the wrong association
Israel came out of Egypt before they could experience God’s mighty Presence (Psalm 114:1). As long as you remain in your ‘Egypt’, you cannot see or experience God’s Presence.

2. The Avoidance of the wrong language (Psalm 114:1)
If your language is not correct, God cannot be present with you.

3. Availability as a vessel to carry His presence (Psalm 114:2). Judah who carried God’s presence was God’s sanctuary; God is willing to manifest himself to available and yielded vessels.

4. The possession of praise
Judah who was His sanctuary means praise. Praise attracts God’s Presence (Psalm 22:3)

Beloved, my counsel is, make God’s Presence a priority in your life; separate yourself from wrong every association, avoid the use of wrong language, be yielded to God and praise Him always.

Remember this: The atmosphere of God’s Presence is the atmosphere of all possibilities

Assignments:
1. Disconnect from every wrong association.
2. Surrender absolutely to God and refuse to stay outside His Will.
3. Live a life of praise and worship.

Text: Romans 2:12-24 (KJV)

Key Verse: “For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written“ – (ROMANS 2:24).

MESSAGE:

God’s word is not to be casually listened to or read. It must be obeyed and acted upon. He justifies the doers of His word and not the hearers.

Apostle Paul makes it clear that as many that sin without the law shall perish without the law and those who sinned in the law will be judged by the law. Those sinners who have not the law, but live according to it, are law unto themselves; for it is written in their hearts. He further said, “For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written”. That is, the conduct of the Jews is such that could lead the heathen world to blaspheme and reproach both the religion and its Author. By their hypocrisy and crimes, the pagan world is led to despise God and His word since they could not show any proof of transformation in their lifestyle.

Nothing else matters in the kingdom of God as living a life that steadfastly conforms to God’s principles as contained in the Scriptures. Christ Himself said, “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 7:21). By this, He reveals that mere profession without obedience is vain.

We must in all things – speech, attitude, conduct, dressing and lifestyle in general, maintain true biblical standards befitting of a genuine Christian in a world hopelessly bent on rebelling against God’s laws. If we do otherwise, we will be a distorted model of what a real Christian ought to be.

Thought For The Day: Only the doers of God’s word will be justified.

14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.

15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.

Open Heaven 5 November 2018 Monday MESSAGE:

When I came into full-time ministry as the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), I was confronted with the challenge of accommodation, as I had to move out of the mansion provided for me by the university I resigned from. So I prayed to God for a ‘boys’ quarters’ of three rooms that could accommodate me and my family. However, the Almighty God who called me told me not to even ask for a whole house, because He would build me a city. Since I knew His voice – He is my Daddy and I am His son – I believed what He said. Today, the city He spoke about, where nothing will be lacking is built on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Nigeria. Beloved, how big is your dream? Is God in that dream? No matter how big that dream may be, if God is in it, it will surely come to pass.

Dreams are a very important aspect of human life, because they influence the height a person will reach in life. It is an unfortunate thing for someone to dream small. It is like going to a river to fetch water with a table spoon. Only those who go to the river with big buckets and tanks will maximize the opportunity the trip to the river provides. In the same vein, the dream of eternal life in heaven with God should definitely influence your actions as a Christian. Today’s Bible text speaks about the heroes of faith and their dreams of better citizenship in heaven, for which they considered themselves strangers and pilgrims on earth. They sought a country that was far better than any in this world. When you see a person who professes to be a Christian greedily amassing wealth at the expense of expansion of God’s kingdom, don’t be surprised: such a fellow’s actions only indicate how earthly minded he or she is. In Matthew 6:19-21, the Lord Jesus Christ said:

“19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

Unless you are deceiving yourself, your dream of heaven should be big enough to swallow any earthly ambition you have. Our Lord promised us that He was going to heaven in order to prepare a place for us, after which He would come back to take us to Himself in eternal bliss. Let this dream drive you into godliness with contentment, which is great gain indeed (1 Timothy 6:6).
