Renowned Psychologist Jordan Peterson Tells Joe Rogan Why the Bible Is ‘Way More True Than Just True’

Famed psychologist Jordan Peterson spoke about the importance of the Bible as the centerpiece of ideas, noting it was essentially “the first book” and that it served as the basis on which other cultural knowledge was built.

“Now, in many ways, the first book was the Bible … for a while literally there was only one book,” Peterson told popular podcast host Joe Rogan. “Before it was the Bible, it was scrolls, writings on papyrus.”

The famous author and psychologist noted that most other books were, thus, birthed from the Bible, which he described as a robust collection of texts.

“All of those books in some sense emerged out of that underlying book,” Peterson said. “And that book itself … the Bible itself isn’t a book. It’s a library. It’s a collection of books.”

He argued that the Bible is a text “upon which other texts depend.” This essentially means that scripture occupies a special place in displaying, setting, and perpetuating truth.

“It isn’t that the Bible is true. It’s that the Bible is the precondition for the manifestation of truth, which makes it way more true than just true,” Peterson continued. “It’s a whole different kind of true. I think this is not only literally the case, factually. I think it can’t be any other way. It’s the only way we can solve the problem of perception.”

Influential Christian Rapper and Westminster Theological Seminary Grad Denounces Christianity

Influential Christian rap group, The Cross Movement’s Brady “Phanatik” Goodwin has traveled the world preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. This week, Goodwin announced he no longer believes what he wholeheartedly used to preach.

Goodwin has authored five books, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical and Christian Service from Lancaster Bible College, a Master’s degree from the Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, and has taught apologetics, Biblical studies, and cultural engagement at the Center for Urban Theological Studies, located in Philadelphia.

The Cross Movement is a two time Grammy Award nominee and has been recognized by many artists for setting the blueprint for mixing deep theological lyrics with hip-hop beats. Some have even called them the pioneers and trailblazers for today’s artists. They have collaborated with Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, Flame and others.

On January 17, 2022, Goodwin released a 24-minute video on his Facebook page addressing rumors that he had left Christianity. “Please, brace yourself as I share from my heart about my journey,” Goodwin wrote. “I love and care about you, and how this will impact many of you, but do try to hear me in the midst of it all.” Read more …

The Dangers of Sharing the Gospel in Nigeria

Nigeria : Oscar Amaechina, the president of the Afri-Mission and Evangelism Network of Nigeria, in a recently interview with The Christian Post (CP) spoke about the challenges of spreading the Gospel in Nigeria.

A former pastor, Amaechina told CP that an estimated 66 million Nigerians have not heard about Jesus. Islamic extremism in the country’s northern and middle-belt regions has made ministering in these areas extremely dangerous.

“I remember there was a particular mission field where we were ministering to people, and some people came to kill us,” he told CP. “We saw them with their machetes, we saw them with their swords, and we believed that that was our last breath. We thought we were going to take our last breath and go.”

But instead of being paralyzed by fear, the missionaries began serving the men who sought to take their lives.

“We gave them rice, gave them spaghetti, gave them cream and soup … and they moved away from us,” he recalled. “They returned, and one of their leaders spoke to us through an interpreter and said, ‘We were here to kill you. Since we are poor, no one has ever given us gifts, but because of these gifts, we want to become Christians.’”

Amaechina and his team were able to lead the men to Christ.  “It was an eye-opener,” he said. “Since that day, we have never resisted showing kindness. There’s power in kindness and love. And that is what we believe in ministry.”

Nigeria is arguably the most dangerous place to be a Christian in the world today. The north is the stronghold of Islam in the country, where hostile groups of Muslim extremists have devastated the minority Christian population. Since 2000, an estimated 70-100 thousand Christians have been killed throughout the Nigeria due to persecution.

“We are constantly harassed, threatened and beaten, our spirits are really willing but our fleshes are getting weaker on a daily basis,” wrote Amaechina in Afri-missions annual report.

“We are praying, asking God to help. We are trusting that God will be able to do it.”

Michelle Williams is an intuitive energy healer and the founder of Renew Life Healing, were she helps her clients create a divine life of healing, transformation and abundance.

“Renewing your life means coming into a whole new aspect of life,” says Michelle, “but it’s really about rediscovering yourself.”

Renew Life Healing specializes in Life Transformation using the Law of Attraction: the idea that we attract what we put out from an energy perspective. Michelle works with her clients to create positive energy in their world so they can attract what they want in life.

“The energy we give is the energy we receive,” says Michelle, “Let the Law of Attraction work for you.”

Michelle’s clients are typically people who are facing challenges in life, either with health, relationships or money, or they feel stuck, like they’re just not moving forward. Stagnant. She even helps business owners come into true alignment with their business vision, allowing them to bring in their perfectly aligned clients.

According to Michelle, these challenges are from subconscious limiting beliefs that they don’t realize are holding them back in life. Together, Michelle and her clients figure out what those beliefs are, and she uses different techniques to shift, change and remove them, allowing her clients to move forward in alignment allowing life to flow easily.

“Only by healing on all levels can we experience true life changing transformation,” says Michelle.

Michelle helps her clients conquer their challenges from the subconscious level, the physical body level and the soul level, and incorporates a number of energy healing modalities in her work, including Rapid Transformational Therapy, Spiritual Response Therapy, ThetaHealing, Diamond Dowsing, as well as The Emotion Code and the Body Code.

Each modality heals on different levels: ThetaHealing is about changing beliefs and clearing energy we’ve inherited at the DNA level; The Emotion Code and the Body Code are removing imbalances in the body caused by trapped emotions; Spiritual Response Therapy offers deep soul level healing; Diamond Dowsing removes negative energies from the environment and the Earth that could be causing harm in many ways.

“I’m constantly learning and continuing to expand my toolbox to make sure I can give my clients whatever they need,” says Michelle. “I am proud that I was able to figure out how to make deep transformation in my life so I can help other people do the same in an easy way.”

AD Christie Announces New Single – “All Have Sinned”

AD Christie, a Caribbean artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist, has released his latest single ‘All Have Sinned,’ another chapter of a 7-part single series, where each single explores a different element of the Gospel message. The Christian dark pop song was released on all platforms on the 20th January 2022.

“The lyrics for this song come directly from the Bible (Romans 3:23, Isaiah 64:6 and Galatians 3:10). The intent of this song is to provide some pretext for the Gospel message of hope.” explains AD Christie. ‘All Have Sinned’ is inspired by the scripture that all people everywhere are sinners, something we cannot escape. Christie expands; “There is no one who is faultless. All of humanity lives under the curse of sin.”

‘All Have Sinned’ is an enthralling composition, powerful and foreboding, a reflection of the sentiment of the song. Deep, dark piano opens the track, accompanied by orchestral strings for an ominous beginning. An electric guitar is introduced before haunting female vocals produce an evocative performance. Rhythmic drums are presented, bringing a pop-rock element to the Gospel genre, along with an acoustic guitar. There are moments of dissonance that weave in and out to accent the tension and suspense, another parallel to the title and meaning behind ‘All Have Sinned’. The strings continue to provide a cinematic and theatrical effect with flourishes of treble piano, before the song comes to a stirring close with the sound of a single bass, piano note.

AD Christie set out with the intention to use his talent to bring the influential teachings of the bible to listeners across the world. “I am not a preacher or a teacher by any means and see this more as bringing my 5 loaves and two fish in hopes that Jesus will use it for his glory” states Christie. With this concept in mind, he undertook a staggering project, writing seven songs in one single day, piecing elements of the singles together.

Throughout 2020, he produced and orchestrated the singles before hiring a vocalist in 2021, where he spent the rest of the year in post-production. Being involved with each stage of the project has been an eye-opening experience for AD Christie, who has been playing music since 1996. In 2017, he embarked on a production journey motivated by Jesus to compose music. Navigating this project has been a welcomed challenge for AD Christie and he hopes listeners will resonate with the teachings of the Bible.

Concerned Citizens League Stands with Texas Synagogue Hostages and for Security in Synagogues Across Chicago

Concerned Citizens League Stands with Texas Synagogue Hostages and for Security in Synagogues Across Chicago

A hostage situation in a Texas Synagogue was resolved Saturday night with the help of FBI hostage rescue teams. All four hostages were rescued. Concerned Citizens League stands with those hostages, and wants citizens in Chicago and around the United States to be better prepared for such situations in the future.

Concerned Citizens League (CCL) was founded to empower the Jewish community to protect their shuls and communities through training, education, and support. The group provides credible threat and incident information to its members through its official intelligence channel and serves as the community’s formal liaison with local and state law enforcement. Upon hearing of the news, Concerned Citizen League President and founding member Chiam Naiditch was concerned but not surprised. “Unfortunately, antisemitism is on the rise in our country and across the world. The Synagogue is a very visible sign, and so it’s a target,” said Naiditch. “We’re grateful to the federal and local authorities who resolved the terrible situation in Colleyville, and we’re doing our best to be sure it doesn’t come to that in Synagogues in our own region.”

Concerned Citizens League has developed training programs that enhance the security of Jewish communities and institutions. It undertakes threat and vulnerability assessments, provides community training and education, and offers consultation on safety and security matters to Shuls and Jewish institutions throughout the Chicagoland area. It also provides a Shul Safety Officers Program. Formally vetted and trained Shul Safety Officers (SSOs) receive 65 plus hours a year of training in Stop The Bleed, CPR/AED, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, de-escalation, safety, security, and self-defense. Members also undergo extra security training from top experts in the country and around the world. “Just this week, our SSOs are receiving an additional two-day training from Masada Tactical, LLC, in preparation for exactly these kinds of events,” said Naiditch. The two-day course in Israeli Active Shooter Response is being given by former Israeli Reconnaissance and American SWAT Instructor Tzviel “BK” Blankchtein, who founded Masada Tactical in 2011. The training was planned well in advance, but Naiditch said it couldn’t be more timely.

Avraham Hershkovich, Vice President of CCL and administrator of one of Chicago’s largest religious boys schools, agreed. “Antisemitism doesn’t go away,” said Hershkovitch “But can you imagine if every Shul in America had a dedicated community member, connected with local law enforcement and ready to respond? We’re working here in Chicago to make sure that our Shuls are prepared.”

About Concerned Citizens League: CCL was founded by members of Synagogues in the Chicago area to help Synagogue members obtain instruction, information, and support. Our goal is to educate and standardize advanced training for safety officers and citizens. Our graduates are well versed in Stop The Bleed, CPR/AED, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, de-escalation, safety, security, and self-defense. Our members are a diverse group of medics, educators, professionals, and businessmen. All concerned citizens. We provide increased safety and awareness, in compliance and communications with local law, for our houses of worship. We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Pope Francis prays for flood victims in Brazil

POPE Francis has prayed for flood victims in Brazil, hard hit in recent weeks causing scores of deaths and forcing major displacement.

The Holy Father’s thought for Brazil came after he prayed the Sunday Angelus with the crowd of faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square.

“I express my nearness to the people hit by strong rain and flooding in various regions of Brazil during these past weeks,” Pope Francis said.

“I am especially praying for the victims and their families, and for those who have lost their homes. May God sustain the efforts of those who are providing relief.”

Since the beginning of the year, hundreds of thousands of families have faced devastating flooding in the state of Bahia, Brazil.

The floods have displaced more than 93,000 people and have taken 26 lives.

People are scrounging for their few remaining belongings, and frantically searching for loved ones.

According to the website ReliefWeb, Brazil’s flood tragedy is man made.

In recent years, the country has continued building dams in order to expand hydropower despite the havoc caused to the environment and Indigenous communities.
