TOPIC: Christians In Business (III) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 27 April 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 1 Kings 1-2; Luke 19:28-48

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Leviticus 19:11-13

MEMORY VERSE: “He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.” – Ecclesiastes 11:4

The MESSAGE:

A Christian in business should be heavenly conscious and be very careful about losing his/her faith and ending his/her Christian race in hell fire as a result of wanting to maximise profits and to gain the whole world. Mark 8:36 says, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

The answer to the question above is nothing, nothing and nothing repeatedly. Because, there is nothing a man can give in exchange for his soul as it was asked in verse 37. There is nothing we brought to this world and we are going with nothing, So, ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie to one another according to the Scripture in Leviticus 19:11.

In doing business, you should remember not to swear by God’s name, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God (Leviticus 19:12). It is an abomination.

My beloved entrepreneur, hear the conclusion of everything as recorded in Proverbs 22:1, “A GOOD name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.” Shalom!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
WHATEVER YOUR HANDS FINDS TO DO, DO IT WITH YOUR MIGHT, FOR THERE IS NO WORK OR THOUGHT OF KNOWLEDGE OR WISDOM IN GRAVE, WITHER THOU GOEST.

PROPHETIC WORD:
As the Lord liveth, doing business as a Christian will not lead you to hell fire but eternal home.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Every stagnation in my business, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
  2. My soul shall not be replaced by my business, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Every agenda of dark power assigned against my life and business, die, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. Every agenda of darkness for my life and business, burn to ashes, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Thou troubler of my life and business, the God of Elijah shall trouble you today, in the name of Jesus.
  6. My life, receive the fire of revival and become fire, in the name of Jesus.
  7. I shall not be a candidate of hell fire because of my business, in the name of Jesus

Text: Jeremiah 20:1-6 (KJV)

Key Verse: “For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword(Jeremiah 20:4).

MESSAGE:

Emperor Nero carried out the first persecution of Christians in Rome in AD 67. He gave vent to atrocious barbarities. He arranged the burning of large portions of Rome and several thousands of lives perished in the flames. Nero finding that his conduct was greatly censured and severe odium cast upon him, determined to lay the whole blame upon the Christians. He designed cruel methods of annihilating Christians among who were Paul, Peter, Erastus, Aristarchus, Trophimus and countless others. Nero even designed new means of cruelty and contrived all manner of punishments for the Christians that the most infernal imagination could think of. This persecution was general throughout the whole Roman Empire; but it rather increased than diminished Christianity. His five-year reign was suddenly terminated and he became the first Emperor of Rome to commit suicide!

Pashur, the priest who was also the Chief Governor in the house of the Lord, seriously persecuted Prophet Jeremiah. Not only did he incarcerate Jeremiah, he also put him in stocks like a common criminal. This did not shut the mouth of Jeremiah. Rather, the Lord God, through him prophesied the gruesome end that awaited the treacherous and lying Pashur.

People often recline on their power and privileged position to vex the righteous and persecute them because of their just stand. They may threaten, molest, afflict and oppress the righteous and for a moment, they may seem to have the upper hand. But God has the final say. He will not only defend His saint but will also curtail the oppressor.

We should check our actions and avoid anything that might amount to persecuting a righteous person for God is his avenger. If we are being persecuted, let us not despair, renege or foolishly charge our God, for He “will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you” (Isaiah 35:4).

Thought For The Day: Night does not last forever; a bright day will ultimately come!

Seeds of Destiny 27 April 2019 Devotional — Preserved By Grace

Topic: Preserved By Grace [Seeds of Destiny 27 April 2019 Devotional]

Click HERE for Previous MESSAGES by Pastor Paul Enenche

Grace brought Noah and his family preservation. Noah was not permitted to be drowned by the flood that drowned others. He was not permitted to be swallowed up by what swallowed others. It was Noah that found grace, but the preservation of that grace extended to his family members.

SCRIPTURE: But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. Genesis 6:8

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is grace that makes your case to be different.

A major secret in the difference between people on earth today in terms of results and outcomes is the grace of God. God’s grace is a difference maker.

• It was grace that differentiated Noah from the people of his generation (Genesis 6:8). Everyone was a victim of the prevailing circumstance in the generation of Noah, except Noah and his family because of grace.

• Paul the Apostle in First Corinthians Chapter 15, and in Verse 10 said, but by the grace of God I am what I am… Paul seemed to be saying, ‘If you notice any difference between me and Peter, James or John, or any of the other apostles, it is the grace of God.’

Now, what were the products of grace in the life of Noah?

1. Distinction: The grace of God that Noah experienced caused him and his family to stand out. The same flood that sank others was the flood that lifted him. It is the grace of God that makes a man to stand out in a community, in a city, in a nation, in a family, or in a class above all others.

It is grace that makes your case and your portion to be different (Romans 9:16). Grace can make you come out with the same certificate as others but with a far better outcome than them in life. At times, grace can make you ask yourself questions like, ‘What did I do differently?’

2. Preservation: Grace brought Noah and his family preservation. Noah was not permitted to be drowned by the flood that drowned others. He was not permitted to be swallowed up by what swallowed others. It was Noah that found grace, but the preservation of that grace extended to his family members.

3. A New Beginning: God made Noah to become the progenitor of a new generation of human beings. As that world was wiped up, God gave Noah a new beginning (Genesis 9:1). It is grace that makes God to do something new in the life of a person.

Beloved, in this season, the God of new shall do something new in your life, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: It is grace that makes your case to be different.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Always apply for the grace of God at the place of prayer
  2. Believe God for a change of level in this season

PRAYER: O Lord, I apply for the grace for a continuous walk with You. Help me not to stray from Your Presence, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: As long as your hope is alive, your help is on the way. And as long as your faith is alive, your change must come. Culled from 30 SECRETS TO THE TOP by Dr Paul Enenche

DAILY READING: Judges 7:1 to 8:17, Luke 23:13 to 43, Psalm 97:1 to 98:9, Proverbs 14:7 to 8

AMAZING FACT: The hands and feet together make up more than half the bones in the human body.

His Jewels – Open Heavens for Teens 27 April 2019

Topic: His Jewels [Open Heavens for Teens 27 April 2019]

Memorise: “For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.” – 1 Peter 2:19

Read: Malachi 3:14-18

  1. Ye have said, It is vain to serve God: and what profit is it that we have kept his ordinance, and that we have walked mournfully before the LORD of hosts?
  2. And now we call the proud happy; yea, they that work wickedness are set up; yea, they that tempt God are even delivered.
  3. Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
  4. And they shall be mine, saith the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
  5. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

Bible In One Year: 2 Samuel 17-18, Luke 21:1-19

MESSAGE:

Today’s Bible reading reveals benefits from serving the Lord. In the passage, some Israelites served God faithfully for a period while some looked at their lives to see if there was a benefit of their service. When they thought they could not see any benefit, they decided that it was vanity to serve God. The problem here is, that they decided to check if there was any benefit in serving God meant they had the impression that there was no benefit in serving God. Such people never really serve God with all their heart because they have a divided mind.

When you look at the blessings of some of the children of God, it would seem like God is being partial. Their level of service is usually the reason. Anyone that will get great rewards from God must be willing to spend and be spent for Him. He said if you are not ready to leave all your treasures for Him (Luke 18:18-24), then you are not yet ready. Having stated that, there is no one that doesn’t enjoy God’s benefits, but we don’t recognise it because we are focused on other things. Read my testimony in August 6 of this devotional to see God’s response to me the day I also thought He had not really done anything for me.

Key Point: Work on your level of service today.

Hymn 7:

1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Chorus:
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

6 Questions with Sri Lankan Christians following the Easter Bombing Attacks

2. What is it typically like for Christians in Sir Lanka? What about missionaries?

Sri Lanka is #46 on the Open Doors World Watch List—a comprehensive ranking of the most difficult places in the world to be a Christian. This means it is not one of the ten or twenty most hostile countries, where this sort of violence would be expected. But life for Christians can still be challenging there.

Local Christian leaders and our staff have reported they face tensions between some adherents of the majority religion, Buddhism, and another minority group, Muslims. (Christians in Sri Lanka are the smallest religion in the country, making up just 1.9 million of the 21-million-person population.)

Typically, these believers are subject to harassment, discrimination, or exclusion from their families and communities. Sometimes they are pressured to return to the native Buddhist faith.

Open Doors has seen Christian churches attacked by its neighbors and mom protests outside of churches. For example, in September of 2018, a group of 100 people interrupted the worship service at a church at Beliatta. They damaged a window and vehicles in the parking lot, they took down crosses, and they threatened to kill the pastor. Still, with routine harassment and violence going on, we had no reason to expect the scale of attack that unfolded in Sri Lanka a few days ago. The severity and coordination seen in this attack is…

‘Avengers: Endgame’ shows us how to find purpose in our pasts

Avengers: Endgame, the latest Marvel movie and a film eleven years in
the making, is the most fun I’ve had at a theater in a long time.

The story picks up directly following
the events of last year’s Avengers:
Infinity War
and spends the next three hours deftly weaving together a
story that ties up the previous twenty-one movies while setting the stage for
films yet to come.

Despite the long runtime, few scenes
felt wasted, and it featured a healthy balance of comedy to go along with the
drama and action. And, while having a general awareness of the previous films in
the Marvel Cinematic Universe would help, only the most basic plot points are
necessary to understand the story.

I’m hesitant to say much more about the plot for fear of lessening the film for those who have yet to see it. As IGN’s Laura Prudom wrote, “Endgame is truly a story that needs to be experienced. Forget all the external noise from the deliberately vague teaser trailers, perfectly-calibrated celebrity soundbites, and footage leaks, and just strap in for the ride” (emphasis hers).

What I will say, though, is that what
made the story so fulfilling was how the characters repeatedly lived up to
their potential by embracing who they are rather than who they feel like they
should be.

(Warning: Infinity War spoiler, even though it’s been out for a year): The
Avengers’ journey to own and overcome the sense of failure evident among the
survivors of “the snap” provides an honest and revealing canvas upon which
their respective stories in Endgame
can be painted.

That struggle is something I think
all of us can relate to in some way.

After all, we typically have far more
vivid memories of our failures than our successes, and the former frequently remain
firmly implanted in our memories for far longer than the times when things went
well.

Our spectacularly failed role models

One of my favorite aspects of the
Bible is how no character…

School Stops Saying ‘God Bless America’ after Atheists Complain

School Stops Saying ‘God Bless America’ after Atheists Complain

A Pennsylvania school stopped saying “God Bless America” over the loudspeaker after a parent complained and an organization comprised of atheists and agnostics got involved.

Sabold Elementary School in Springfield, Pa., had a custom of allowing users of the loudspeaker to say “God Bless America” after the morning Pledge of Allegiance.

The Freedom From Religion Foundation, acting on a complaint from a parent, wrote the superintendent March 25 and argued the action was unconstitutional.

“The repeated recitation of a religious message in the school setting violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment, which prohibits public schools from advancing, supporting or promoting religion,” FFRF attorney Christopher Line wrote. “‘God Bless America’ is a prayer. The song that the phrase originates from begins, ‘As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer.’ A prayer hosted by a publicly supported school does not pass constitutional muster.”

An FFRF press release said saying the phrase “sends a message to its students that the school is endorsing and compelling belief in God.”

The school ended the practice.

“After the school district’s receipt of your letter, Sabold Elementary School has ceased its practice of announcing the slogan ‘God Bless America’ over the loudspeaker immediately following the recitation of the Pledge…

Kansas Church Pays Off $2.2 Million in Medical Debt for Families in Need

Kansas Church Pays Off $2.2 Million in Medical Debt for Families in Need

A Kansas church changed the lives of nearly 2,000 people on Sunday when they paid off some $2.2 million in medical debt.

In an Easter Sunday sermon, lead pastor Todd Carter of Pathway Church in Wichita, Kansas paralleled the excitement a person feels when they find out that their medical debt has been forgiven, to the excitement we should feel every day for the debts that Jesus paid for us on the cross.

According to Relevant Magazine, He told his church that this year, instead of spending money to advertise for their Easter church service, they gave the money to a company called RIP Medical Debt, which works to buy and forgive peoples medical debts for pennies on the dollar.

In a video of the church’s service posted to Facebook, Carter told his congregants, “We decided to take some of the money that we would normally give to people who are in financial need and we took some of the money that we would normally use to be able to promote our Easter services.”

He continued, “When I say ‘promote our Easter services,’ I’m talking about the money that we would normally use to pay for -s about our weekend services for Easter as well as the direct mail that we would send to people’s homes, but we decided to do something different this year. We wanted to send out a different kind of mail.”

Carter told the church that this year, they decided to send…

College Women Should Have Abortions to ‘Stay on Track,’ Calif. Bill Says

College Women Should Have Abortions to ‘Stay on Track,’ Calif. Bill Says

A California bill that would force public universities to provide women easy access to the abortion pill so they can “stay on track” passed a legislative committee Wednesday.

The bill, SB 24, passed the state Senate education committee 5-2, three weeks after it also passed the Senate health committee, 7-2. Its next stop is the appropriations committee.

If passed, it would require “each student health care services clinic” on a “California State University or University of California campus” to “offer abortion by medication techniques,” according to the bill’s text. Each campus would receive a grant of $200,000.

There are more than 400,000 female students within California’s public university system.

“The state has an interest in ensuring that every pregnant person in California who wants to have an abortion can obtain access to that care as easily and as early in pregnancy as possible,” the bill says. “When pregnant young people decide that abortion is the best option for them, having early, accessible care can help them stay on track to achieve their educational and other aspirational life plans.”

Abortion, the bill says, is a “constitutional right and an integral part of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health care.”

The abortion pill includes two drugs: mifepristone and misoprostol. Mifepristone blocks the…

Topic: Are You Among The Nine? (Open Heaven 27 April 2019)

Memorise: “And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?”- Luke 17:17

Read: Luke 17:12-19 (KJV)

12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:

13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,

16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.

19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.

Bible in One Year: Genesis 34-35, Jeremiah 25:34-26:11

Open Heaven 27 April 2019 Saturday MESSAGE:

Ingratitude is a character trait that manifest itself as a lack of appreciation or thankfulness due for a favour received. The Bible tells us that it is important for believers in Christ to appreciate and show gratitude to God for the manifold blessings that He gives daily. It is especially important for us to appreciate God for who He is and constantly give Him thanks for the salvation of our souls, the redemption of humanity, the favour He surrounds us with, and for the glorious future that awaits us. In Psalm 136, the Holy Spirit emphasizes the importance of gratitude and gives reasons why we should appreciate God. In Psalm 100:4, He also says:

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”

1 Thessalonians 5:18 teaches us that giving thanks in all situations is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.

If you only praise and worship God whenever you are in a congregation or whenever you are told to so, then your praise is not overflowing from a heart of gratitude – you are just following orders. Always remember that God does not want people to give Him thanks because they are told to do so; He wants people whose heart would rise joyfully and spontaneously everyday with gratitude to him whenever they remember His numerous benefits in their lives. I pray that God will always ensure you have reasons to praise Him in Jesus’ Name. The Bible contains examples of people who showed ingratitude to God in spite of all the blessings and gifts He bestowed on them. The story of today’s Bible reading is one of such examples of the ten lepers that Jesus miraculously healed, only one returned to glorify God. The question is, are you among the nine ingrates?

In the beginning the Lord in His infinite wisdom created man in His image and in His likeness, for the purpose of showing forth His praise. Revelation 4:11 says God created all things, including human beings, for His pleasure. Isaiah 43:21 further says:

“This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.”

Ingratitude to God is therefore considered an act of wicked rebellion against Him (Romans 1:21). No wonder it is listed as one of the evil traits that men will manifest in the last days (2 Timothy 3:2). May the heart of genuine appreciation to God develop in you today in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 27 April 2019 Saturday Action Point:

Show gratitude to God today for all He has done for you by counting your blessings and naming them one by one before His throne of grace.

1 Let us, with a gladsome mind,
praise the LORD, for He is kind:
for His mercies shall endure,
ever faithful, ever sure.

2 Let us blaze His Name abroad,
for of gods He is the God:

filled the new-made world with light:
for His mercies shall endure,
ever faithful, ever sure.
