Saul tried many times to destroy David. He insisted that David would not be on the throne. He used every available opportunity, but he could not stop him. For every attempt he made, God created a way of escape for David. In the name that is above every name, you will escape from your enemies. Their plans against your life will never succeed. All the traps that they have laid against you, you are coming out of them. Whosoever digs a pit for you shall fall into it and whoever rolls a stone against you, it shall be rolled back against him. For every evil they have sown against you, they would reap a hundredfold. The enemy will not cut your life short. Every promise God has made shall be accomplished. Your life will glorify God!
God made sure that at the appointed time, David sat on the throne. Beloved, in Christ you are pleasing to God. And when your life pleases God, He makes even your enemies be at peace with you. He will even use those that you least expected. You know what happened? God was orchestrating things in the life of David. Right in the bedroom of Saul, God raised up a Jonathan. Now if you read it so fast you may miss the whole point. Who was Jonathan? The heir apparent! In other words, he was next in line to Saul from the human standpoint.
Beloved, the Bible says, promotion cometh not from the east, west, or south but from God. He is the Judge; He sets down one and lifts up another. You don’t promote yourself! Saul said to his son Jonathan: “Is something wrong with you? You are the heir apparent!” Jonathan said, “I have enough sense to know that God’s hand is upon David, I don’t want to occupy the seat a is not my own.” No one will occupy your seat.

MESSAGE:
There are two things anyone who will remain relevant in God’s vineyard must do, and they are self examination and self purging. 2 Corinthians 13:5 says:
“Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?”
The word of God is a mirror, but unlike the physical mirror that can only show the physical image, it shows the spiritual image of the fellow in front of it. When you look into the mirror of the word of God, it reveals your impure thoughts, your hidden motives, and your bad ways, it then shows you how to correct them all and become more like Jesus. The more of God’s word you read and practice, the closer and nearer to Him God draws you.

One of the greatest assets of any human being is the asset of health. That is why it has been said that health is wealth. It does not matter how much money you have, if you are not healthy, it is a waste of wealth.
Living in Divine health is God’s Will for His children. Divine health is living free of sickness or living in the state of health by the Power of God.
As children of God, there are things we need to do in order to enjoy Divine health from God. One of them is living in Joy.
It is medically proven that when joy increases in the body, there are some hormones that are produced referred to as ‘happy hormones’ that improve the health and wellbeing of the body.
Living in joy or merriment is living on spiritual medication because joy has curative or therapeutic power. Living in joy is living with strength, but living in depression is invitation for both oppression and affliction (Psalm 42:11).
Determine to maintain your joy at all cost. Enjoy where you are to get to where you are going. Kill depression at all cost. Do not wait for anyone to celebrate you, celebrate yourself!

Many Christians are naive in business because of the ugly side of doing business. But, a Christian should be encouraged to participate in business so as to gain more people (especially the unbelievers) to Christ when they do legitimate business with them in truth and sincerity.
The Bible says, “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God; for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.” To get riches and wealth in business legitimately requires the hands and touch of God. So as a Christian in business, you should give all the glory and honour to God as you make progress in business so as to establish his covenant of prosperity and open heavens upon your life and totality.
Beloved, the plan of God for you especially in business is to succeed and to be productive and He will surely bring it to pass if you obey Him and do His will without lying and usury. God promises stand sure for you as a child of God to bless you and enlarge the coast of your business beyond your reasoning and thinking.
The Scriptures says in Number 23:19, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Believe in God’s word and you will not be put to shame.

Across 27 Countries, Most People Don’t Mind More Religion in Public Life
A new study from the Pew Research Center found that a majority of people in the 27 countries they surveyed are not opposed to religion having more influence on public life. They asked questions about religion as part of a larger survey on diversity, gender equality, religion, and family life. 30,133 people in 27 nations answered the in-depth questions.
More people think religion plays a smaller role in public life than it did 20 years ago. Although, the research report notes that there is “substantial regional variation on this question.” 58 percent of Americans and 64 percent of Canadians believe religion plays a less important role in their country, compared to 19 percent of Americans and 12 percent of Canadians who think it plays a larger role. However, majorities in several Asian and African nations believe religion plays a more significant role there than it did at the turn of the century. 83 percent of Indonesians, 65 percent of Nigerians, and 60 percent of Kenyans agreed that religion plays a larger role in their society.
European countries had the greatest antipathy towards an increased role of religion in public life. In Sweden, France, Netherlands, Spain, and Germany, a higher percentage of people opposed a more important role for religion, though the degree to which they opposed it varied greatly. Aretha Franklin Sings Sweet Sounds, Recalls Roots in Amazing Grace Documentary
(RNS) — Standing at the pulpit of a Los Angeles Baptist church in 1972, Aretha Franklin — known more for hits like “Respect” and “Chain of Fools” — started singing her own rendition of “Amazing Grace.”
As she sang the ode to divine deliverance, Franklin prompted members of the congregation at the recording of the gospel album to shake their heads and raise their arms.
The R&B star took on the role of a minister of music as she rendered one gospel song after another.
“You’ve got a mighty good friend in Jesus,” she sings at one point.
“Sing, Aretha,” someone in the church seats shouts.
“Amazing Grace,” the documentary about the making of what would become the best-selling live gospel album, spends 87 minutes giving viewers a chance to see the woman known just as Aretha go back to her roots. The singer, who died at age 76 last year, was first recorded singing gospel music at her father’s church at age 14.
The title track features Franklin’s unique arrangement — almost 11 minutes long — with multiple notes attached to the words “amazing,” “grace” and other words in that time-honored hymn.

Seminary President Admits She Doesn’t Believe in Heaven, Miracles or Christ’s Resurrection
The president of a seminary founded in 1836 on the “infallible” Word of God says in a new interview she doesn’t believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, the power of prayer, a literal heaven, or miracles.
Serene Jones, president of Union Theological Seminary in New York, made the comments in an interview with Nicholas Kristof of The New York Times for an article published Easter weekend. Although the author’s intent may have been to inspire readers, it also served to spotlight the leftward drift of many seminaries.
Union Theological Seminary’s founding constitution stated the seminary’s goal was to “promote” the “Kingdom of Christ.” Professors were required to affirm they believed “the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the word of God” and the “only infallible rule of faith and practice.”
But as Jones made clear, the seminary is a very different school today.
She rejects a literal bodily resurrection of Christ.
“When you look in the Gospels, the stories are all over the place. There’s no resurrection story in Mark, just an empty tomb. Open Heaven 26 April 2019 Friday MESSAGE:
Faith is a spiritual word that is a bit complicated to define. However, Hebrews 11:1 provides the best explanation on the subject of faith by defining it as the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Faith gives a Christian the assurance of things which do not exist, and provides the conviction that what we hope for will happen, not because we have all it takes to make it happen but because God said it will happen. Practically speaking, faith involves taking God at His word and acting according to it, despite the hopelessness of the situation and irrespective of what the odds look like. As children of God, we generally find it easier to apply faith when dealing with simple matters of daily life like sleeping and waking up, but find it difficult to apply the same faith when confronted with difficult life-threatening issues like sickness and death. This should not be so.
In Luke 17:5, the apostles pleaded with Jesus to increase their faith. To better understand how faith works, let us closely examine Jesus’ response to their request. Luke 17:6 says:
“And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”
From the apostles’ request, they obviously thought that they needed much bigger faith to accomplish spiritual tasks. Unfortunately, this is the same mindset a lot of Christians have today. Jesus’ response reveals that the size of faith does not really matter. The smallest faith is enough to accomplish the biggest spiritual assignment, once the required conditions are fulfilled. By the grace of God, I have had my own fair share of practically with the issue of faith, and God has always honored my faith irrespective of its size.
One area of the new covenant that requires faith is connecting with the power of divine life embedded in Christ’s flesh and blood. Anyone who partakes in the Holy Communion by faith is bound to receive whatever miracle he or she desires. The Holy Communion is the most powerful meal imaginable, but faith is required to activate its hidden power. This divine meal has brought about abundant testimonies of great miracles, such as healing from incurable and life threatening diseases, deliverance from deadly vices and demonic powers, incredible financial breakthrough, miraculous restoration of broken homes and relationships, and much more. The next time you partake of this miracle meal, apply your faith to it, and I assure you that you will experience divine healing and deliverance through its power.

Montana’s Attorney General Invites Chick-fil-A CEO to Open More Locations in His State
“I want you to know that Montanans don’t discriminate against others based on religious affiliation,” Montana’s Attorney General Tim Fox wrote in a letter to Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy on Monday.
According to Fox News, in the letter posted to Facebook, Fox, who is running for Montana governor for 2020, wrote a letter to Cathy asking him to consider opening more Chick-fil-A stores across the Treasure State.
Fox wrote, “While we have plenty of wonderful dining options here in the Treasure State, one is particularly hard to find: Chick-fil-A.” Fox notes that of the 2,100 Chick-fil-A restaurants across America, Montana is only home to one, and he would like that to change.
Fox continued, “While your company faces a barrage of unnecessary criticism from places like San Antonio, TX and Buffalo, NY, I want you to know that Montanans don’t discriminate against others based on religious affiliation.”
“That’s why I’d like to extend Chick-fil-A an invitation to expand its operations in Big Sky Country,” Fox added.
Fox also pointed out that he finds it inappropriate that other politicians use Chick-fil-A “to evoke division and outrage.”
