Ready for a Breakthrough – Billy Graham Devotional 15 March 2019

. . . may the God of peace . . . produce in you through the power of Christ all that is pleasing to him . . . – Hebrews 13:20,21 (TLB)

When I was a boy, radio was just coming of age. We would gather around a crude homemade set and twist the three tuning dials in an effort to establish contact with the transmitter. Often, all the sound that came out of the amplifier was the squawk of static; but we knew that somewhere out there was the unseen transmitter, and if contact was established and the dials were in adjustment, we could hear a voice loud and clear. After a long time of laborious tuning, the far distant voice would suddenly break through and a smile of triumph would illuminate the faces of all in the room. At last we were tuned in!

In the revelation that God established between Himself and us, we can find a new life and a new dimension of living, but we must “tune in.” There are higher levels of living to which we have never attained. There is peace, satisfaction, and joy that we have never experienced. God is trying to break through to us. The heavens are calling. God is speaking! Let man hear.

Prayer for the day: Lord, help me to be so attuned to Your will that I will experience all that You so lovingly wish to bestow.

MFM Daily Devotional 15 March 2019 – Christian Discipline (I)

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 15 March 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Christian Discipline (I)

TOPIC: Christian Discipline (I) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 15 March 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 25-27; Mark 14:27-53

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 5:9-13

MEMORY VERSE: “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33

The MESSAGE:

Lust for sex, drugs, looting of public funds and lack of contentment are serious vices. This life is full of many terrible sicknesses and diseases brought by sexual promiscuity, and this cuts across all strata of the society regardless of sex or social affiliation.

How can a university professor who is almost clocking 70 years of age be harassing a 23-year-old undergraduate for sex which will eventually lead to his unexpected dismissal and tarnish his image after thorough investigation? This is indiscipline.

The prevalence of many indescribable diseases, has been a source of concern to the disciplined mind. Those who commit crimes in all forms, confess to the use of drugs and alcohol after being caught. People take drugs and alcohol in order to get ‘high’, which eventually transforms them to criminals, not worthy to live in a decent society. Drugs and alcohol have so pervaded the society that no activity or festival comes up without seeing some of the participants misbehaving. There was a masquerade festival in Ibadan, Oyo State, some years back. There were two leaders of the said masquerade groups, entangled in a superiority contest. The leader of the group A was drenched in alcohol and drugs while the group B leader depended on his magical power.

When the contest proper started, Group A leader left his Group and faced Group B leader and a fight ensued. Group A leader brought out a waist band called Igbadi in Yoruba, and hit the Group B leader. He fell down and started chanting some incantations. All of a sudden, he was nowhere to be found, but just before anybody could ask question, he was seen standing behind Group A leader.

Both of them started displaying their magical prowess to the admiration of all. After a while, the Group A leader brought out a short axe with all manner of charms on it and hit the Group B leader on the neck. Suddenly, there was blood all over the place and the masquerade who perpetrated the act took to his heels. It was later discovered, that he was under drug influence. Stories like these abound everywhere. We also see in the Bible where a father was drugged by his daughters to have sexual affairs with them (Genesis 19:30-38). Christians need to be disciplined to stay clear of these vices. Beloved, be not drunk with but be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Through prayer, wage war against every act of indiscipline and let your life be pleasing to God.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
BAD COMPANY ABORTS PROMISING DESTINY.

PROPHETIC WORD:
God will be glorified in my life.

  1. I reject and cancel every plot of fraud and deceit against me. It shall not stand, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Every fetish preparation against me and my family, explode by fire now, in the name of Jesus.

DCLM Daily Manna 15 March 2019 – Arrogant Sinners

Topic: Arrogant Sinners [DCLM Daily Manna 15 March 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Isaiah 9:8-21 (KJV)

Key Verse: “For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts” – (Isaiah 9:14).

MESSAGE:

The Christian Value Magazine tells the story of a group of people who planned a “hurricane party” to welcome hurricane Camille in Pass Christian, Mississippi in 1969. They wanted to hold a party through the storm even though they knew the apartments were directly in the line of danger. They spurned the persuasion of the police chief, Jerry Peralta, and the officer left after collecting the addresses of their next of kin. Scientists clocked Camille’s wind speed at more than 205 miles-per-hour and the worst damage came at the houses known as Pass Christian, Mississippi, when 20 people were killed at a party in the Richelieu Apartments. Nothing was left of the three-storey structure except the foundation. They were warned, but they chose to arrogantly ignore the warning.

Israel sinned against God and He allowed her to be invaded. The invasion of the Assyrians was a warning that God sent to jolt them to the reality of divine displeasure. But instead of repenting, in their pride, the leaders and the people of the Northern Kingdom of Israel ignored the Lord and His Word.

The twenty-first century has also produced the generation of arrogant sinners who mock God and His Word. Irreverent behaviour and lifestyle, arrogance and stubbornness have increased in many religious circles. In the face of natural and, sometimes, man-made calamities, men remain unrepentant and sometimes insensitive to prevailing dangers. They would not humble themselves and turn from their wicked and rebellious ways.

God’s judgement is real and certain. His desire is that every sinner of any status, shape or colour will come to Him in contrition and humility. He wants you to forsake sin and live, for He is a God of mercy that pardon iniquities.

Thought For The Day: Fools mock at sin.

TREM Devotional 15 March 2019 – God’s Plan for your Life can Never be Aborted

Topic: God’s Plan for your Life can Never be Aborted [TREM Devotional 15 March 2019]

“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew”. Genesis 4:25 KJV

I come your way today to tell you that God has a great plan for your life and His plan cannot be aborted. In Christ, you are called to glory. God cannot bring you thus far to forsake you. I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread. You have a High Priest that sits at the right hand of the majesty on high speaking for you. That’s why I know that every prayer you have made has already been answered.

After the death of Abel, the scripture says Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth (meaning Appointment with God). Beloved, you have an appointment with God. Please don’t be late to that appointment and don’t let the devil delay or postpone it. Eve said, He hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. In other words God’s plan can never be aborted. No matter what man or the devil does, the plan of God for your life remain, unchanged.

In Genesis 4:26, the Bible says ‘Seth had a son and called him Enos’; (Enos means mortal, weak, or inability to pull through). In other words Seth got a son and called him ‘weakness.’ Looking at it from the surface you will think that it’s negative, but it is not because the next statement tells us that ‘then began men to call upon the name of the Lord’. The reason people fail is because they fail to call on God to help their weakness. You cannot fulfill divine purpose in life without Him. By strength shall no man prevail! Seth said ‘Look, the reason we have been failing is that we are mortal, so God if you don’t help us no one can. Child of God, don’t go about with your life as though you don’t need God! You need Him! You need Him in order to fulfill His destiny for your life.

Seeds of Destiny 15 March 2019 Devotional – The Power of Persisting Faith

Topic: The Power of Persisting Faith [Seeds of Destiny 15 March 2019 Devotional]

The battles of life are not won by the physical size or might of a person but by the audacity of faith.

SCRIPTURE: And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. Luke 11:9

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The battles of life are not won by the physical size or might of a person but by the audacity of faith.

Sometime ago, I saw a little video clip; a tiny goat engaged a big cow with its tiny horn in a battle and pushed the cow. The cow pushed the goat backwards but the goat still remained. The cow pushed it back the second time but the goat still remained and then pushed the cow backward also. Angrily, the cow threw the goat to a far distance but the goat got up, shook itself, came back and engaged the cow again in the combat. Suddenly, the cow started reversing and after a little while, it turned back and started going its way.

Can you imagine? A tiny goat beat a big-for-nothing cow because of its audacity.

Beloved, I want to let you know that you do not win by size, you win by faith. The battles of life are not won by the physical size or might of a person but the by audacity of faith. It is not your physical size that would make you win the battles of life but your faith. You win by faith and your faith is fed by your light.

Beloved, it takes faith to engage the enemy in every battle of life. My counsel is, build your faith and increase your audacity in life.

Remember this: The battles of life are not won by the physical size or might of a person but by the audacity of faith.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to engage your faith in God in the battles of life.
  2. Persist in prayer and the study of the Word consistently in order to build a solid faith.

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive the grace to persist in knowing You through the practice of prayer and the study of the Word. Help me not to give up on You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Avoid Contaminants – Open Heavens for Teens 15 March 2019

Topic Avoid Contaminants [Open Heavens for Teens 15 March 2019]

Memorise: “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” – Proverbs 4:23

Read: Philippians 4:8

8.Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Bible In One Year: Deuteronomy 26-27, Mark 15:1-26

MESSAGE:

A contaminant is a polluting or poisonous substance that makes something impure. The death of Jesus Christ gave you a totally clean life to the extent that God dwells in you. This is a very unfortunate fact for the devil, so he does everything possible to contaminate you and make you unfit for God’s presence and use.

The devil knows that once he is able to influence a person’s mind, that person becomes his own. The battle for your mind is very active, and for you to win it, you have to consciously keep your mind pure. In the world we live in today, contaminants are everywhere you turn to; there are impure words and pictures on T.V, books and songs. Impure friends also frequently try to influence you negatively, but if you are conscious about what you allow into your mind, you will be untouchable to the devil.

You have to always remember that little by little, with every impure thing you listen to or watch, the devil gains control of your mind. If you are not careful, if you do not consciously and wisely combat the devil by constantly feeding your mind with the word of God and frequently saying “No” to contaminants, you will gradually become polluted.

Action Point:

Read the word of God for at least 30 minutes every day. While going through your day, cultivate a habit of meditating on the passage that you read.

  1. Christian, seek not yet repose
    Hear thy gracious Savior say;
    Thou art in the midst of foes:
    Watch and pray.
  2. Principalities and power
    Mustering their unseen array
    Wait for the unguarded hours:
    Watch and pray
  3. Gird the heavenly armor on,
    Wear it ever night and day;
    Ambushed lies the evil one:
    Watch and pray.
  4. Hear the victors who o’ercame,
    Still they mark each warrior’s way;
    All with one sweet voice exclaim,
    Watch and pray.
  5. Hear, above all, hear thy Lord,
    Him thou loves to obey;
    Hide within thy heart His word:
    Watch and pray.
  6. Watch, as if on that alone
    Hung the issue of the day;
    Pray, that help may be sent down:
    Watch and pray.

Open Heaven 15 March 2019 – Don’t Get Carried Away!

Open Heaven 15 March 2019 Friday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Don’t Get Carried Away!

Topic: Don’t Get Carried Away! (Open Heaven 15 March 2019)

Memorise: “Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.”- Psalm 37:1

Read: Psalm 37:1-9 (KJV)

1 (A Psalm of David.) Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

Bible in One Year: 1 Corinthians 7-9, Isaiah 63:15-64:12

Open Heaven 15 March 2019 Friday MESSAGE:

In today’s Bible reading, the Lord instructs us three times not to fret (worry or be envious) over the prosperity of evildoers. This should indicate to us how important this issue is to His heart, and it should also establish the fact that the righteous can fall into temptation of aligning with evildoers because of their prosperity. We must not get carried away by the “success” of unbelievers, especially when they dangle their evil carrots at us so that we can join them in their unrighteous deeds. Even Asaph, a chief Levite, was faced with the dilemma. In Psalm 73:3-8, he confessed as follows:

3 For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. 4 For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. 5 They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. 6 Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. 7 Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. 8 They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.”

He was in this state until God opened his heart to comprehend the final destiny of all unbelievers (Psalm 73:17-22). In like manner, so many children of God are becoming envious of sinners today. If you feel this way, God is asking me to tell you that your godliness is not in vain. He is taking account of your watchfulness in doing His will, and in due season, He will show the wicked world that you were right and they were wrong.

Beloved, it is a lie of the devil when people tell you that everyone is crooked and so you should join them in being corrupt. Just as He did in Elijah’s time, God has reserved in this generation an unimaginable number of His children who have made up their minds to follow Him wholly (1 Kings 19:14&18). The story was told of two soldiers during the reign of terror in the Soviet Union, who stormed the meeting place of some Christians and threatened to kill whoever confessed Jesus Christ. They also gave the opportunity of freedom to those who wanted to change their minds on their faith. Unfortunately, some of these Christians denied Christ and were allowed to go. Once they had left, the soldiers shut the door and revealed their true identities as children of God. They deliberately did what they did to weed out false brethren so that they could safely worship with true Christians. Today, ungodliness is in vogue because it seems to pay off. It is not true, beloved of God, especially when you consider what becomes of unbelievers at the end of their lives. I encourage you to stay on the path of holiness because whosoever endures to the end shall experience the ultimate in God’s salvation (Matthew 10:22).

Open Heaven 15 March 2019 Friday Prayer Point:

Father, please help me to keep holding fast to the word of salvation till I see You in glory.

Open Heaven 15 March 2019 Friday Hymn 2: Oh Jesus I Have Promised

  1. O Jesus, I have promised
    To serve Thee to the end;
    Be Thou forever near me,
    My Master and my Friend;
    I shall not fear the battle
    If Thou art by my side,
    Nor wander from the pathway
    If Thou wilt be my Guide.
  2. Oh, let me feel Thee near me;
    The world is ever near;
    I see the sights that dazzle,
    The tempting sounds I hear;
    My foes are ever near me,
    Around me and within;
    But, Jesus, draw Thou nearer,
    And shield my soul from sin.
  3. Oh, let me hear Thee speaking,
    In accents clear and still,
    Above the storms of passion,
    The murmurs of self-will;
    Oh, speak to reassure me,
    To hasten, or control;
    Oh, speak, and make me listen,
    Thou Guardian of my soul.
  4. O Jesus, Thou hast promised
    To all who follow Thee
    That where Thou art in glory
    There shall Thy servant be;
    And Jesus, I have promised
    To serve Thee to the end;
    Oh, give me grace to follow,
    My Master and my Friend.
  5. Oh, let me see Thy footmarks,
    And in them plant mine own;
    My hope to follow duly
    Is in Thy strength alone.
    Oh, guide me, call me, draw me,
    Uphold me to the end;
    And then to rest receive me,
    My Savior and my Friend.

Man Shows Simple Act of Kindness, Buys Servicemen Chick-fil-A in Honor of Late Brother with PTSD

Man Shows Simple Act of Kindness, Buys Servicemen Chick-fil-A in Honor of Late Brother with PTSD

Jonathan Full didn’t hesitate before choosing to pay for the meals of 11 servicemen and women at a local Chick-fil-a in Durham, North Carolina, choosing to honor his late stepbrother who suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

The man’s brother, Stephen Full, told the story on Facebook, sharing his pride in his brother’s kind gesture. Many on social media have responded to Jonathan’s generosity, and his desire to raise awareness of PTSD among veterans.

“[My] message to them was to reach out to their fellow servicemen and help anyone with PTSD because I just lost my brother to it,” Jonathan Full told Yahoo Lifestyle. “It was a way for me to express my gratitude for what they do and help me grieve for my brother, … And [I wanted to] give back to them for what burdens they will now carry for life to help us.”

It was a normal day in March, when Jonathan, who works as an equipment technician, and his brother, Stephen Full, took their children to Chick-fil-A to give their wives time to shop, CBS News wrote. Two servicemembers entered the restaurant and went to order their meals. Jonathan “immediately got up and went to pay for their meal,” wrote Stephen on Facebook. “Little did he know, about 9 more walked in lol. He didn’t’ even bat an eye and asked everyone in line to allow the 9 come to the front of…

Report Claims Church Paid People to Fake Medical Miracles

Report Claims Church Paid People to Fake Medical Miracles

After a video of a man being raised from the dead went viral, an investigation found that one South African Church paid people to pretend that the pastor performed miracles on them.

According to Church Leaders, South African news channel funded by the South African Government, SABC1, began to look into Pastor Alph Lukau and his Alleluia Ministries International church (AMI) after a video began circulating the web in February of a man named “Elliot” who was supposedly resurrected.

The video shows Elliot lying in a coffin surrounded by hundreds of people during a church service, some who were claiming to be his family members and one claiming to be his landlord. As the man laid in the coffin with his eyes wide and mouth gaping, Pastor Lukau asked the people claiming to know him how and when he died. One woman who said that she was the man’s landlord, told Lukau that Elliot died on Friday because he could not receive medical care. At that, Lukau placed his hands on the man – who was already visibly breathing – and yelled: “Rise Up!” Elliot immediately sat up and Lukau along with several other men removed him from the coffin. Lukau can then be heard yelling into a microphone, “The dead man is alive! The coffin is empty!” A woman also holding a microphone then yelled, “Jesus! This is what you call an uncommon miracle!”

The video, which has now garnered over…

Christian MPs defend Brexit delay

MPs want to extend the deadline past the current one of March 29 to allow more time for a smoother exit from the EU.

While some hope it’ll give more time for Theresa May to negotiate further with European leaders, others hope a delay will lead to a rethink of the whole process.

Any delay to the process would have to be approved by the EU

Speaking to Premier, Stephen Timms, a Christian and the Labour MP for East Ham suggested at this late stage, a delay in inevitable.

He said: “I think it’s clear that we just don’t have time, whatever happens to get it all sorted out by the end of this month.

“So we must go to the European Union to make it clear we want to extend the deadline. They will want to know the reason.

“I think there is a strong case for us to have quite a long extension rather than a short extension, for example, to allow us to hold a further public vote because it may well be but the only way now that we can resolve the situation that we’re in.”

Timms also addressed criticism that MPs haven’t been able to deliver the will of the British public,

“Yes, I do understand that,” he said. “It’s the result unfortunately of the fact that there was absolutely no plan for leaving the EU in place when article 50 was triggered two years ago. I think people thought there must have been some idea about what the basis for our departure was going to be. But it turns out…
