The Purpose of The Blessing by Pastor Paul Enenche

ANOINTING SERVICE – 10TH MARCH 2019
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S): 3 JOHN 1:2
MESSAGE TOPIC: THE PURPOSE OF THE BLESSING

SERVICE OBJECTIVE:

Understanding God’s plan and purpose for the blessing and the prosperity of His people.

Many misunderstand the purpose of the Blessing and prosperity. They feel it amounts to materialism.

FACTS ABOUT THE BLESSING:

  1. God is interested in the Blessing and prosperity of His people (Ps. 35:27; Job 36:11)
  2. God’s people were the most blessed and prosperous people throughout Scripture (Gen. 13:2; 24:1; 26:12-14; Job 1:1-3; Matt. 27:57)
  3. Jesus Christ exemplified supernatural abundance and the Blessing of God (John 12:4-6; 13:29; Mark 4:36; John 4:7-8)
    i. Jesus was financially stable enough to have a treasurer, and the treasurer was a thief! (John 12:4-6; 13:29)
ii. Jesus moved with sufficient transportation all the time (Mark 4:36)
iii. Jesus bore the responsibility of 12 mature men and their families (John 4:7-8)
iv. Jesus had those who ministered substance to Him (Luke 8:3)
  4. The love of money, not money itself, is the root of evil (1Tim. 6:10)
Money is neutral, it is amoral; it takes on the character of the possessor

THE PURPOSE OF THE BLESSING OF GOD:

  1. Serving God in satisfaction without distraction (Mark 12:28-30; Joel 2:26; Prov. 30:8-9).
God wants to bring you to a point where there is no infirmity, poverty or calamity that is taking your focus off of Him (Joel 2:26).
    Supernatural provision facilitates deeper devotion.
Many wrong decisions are made from scarcity and shortage.
    Nothing brings dignity like prosperity.
  2. Glorifying God with our lives and attracting the lost to God (Isa. 61:9; Matt. 5:16; 1Kings 10:1-10)
Your result is more evangelistic than your utterance.
There is something God will do with you that will make people want to identify with the God that did it for you
  3. Existing as a blessing to the world (Gen. 12:2-3; 14:14; Jam. 1:27; Job 29:11-13; Ps. 72:10-15; Gal. 6:10)
The purpose of income is impact; riches without outreach is wretchedness .
God is permanently interested in the welfare of the widow, orphan, needy and under-privileged
  4. Expanding the Kingdom of God on the earth (Zech. 1:17; Ps. 122:9; 132:1-5; Ex. 12:36; 35:4-10; 36:5-7)
Churches are built, missionaries are sent out and tracts are printed with money
  5. Fulfilling Covenant promises about the Blessing (Deut. 8:18; Ps. 1:1-3; 35:27; 37:25-26; Job 36:11; Obad. 1:17,21; 2Cor. 8:9; Rev. 5:12; 1Tim. 6:17-18; Num. 23:19; Ps. 89:34-35)
God blesses His people to validate His promise

HOW TO QUALIFY FOR THE BLESSING:

  1. Possess quality understanding concerning the purpose of God for the Blessing (Isa. 33:6; Ps. 82:5; Prov. 1:32)
  2. Research the secrets of the Blessing and walk in them (Deut. 28:1-2; Job 29:2-4)
There is no success without secrets and no products without principles

PRAYER:

Father, thank You for Your provision for the Blessing. I am ready for the Blessing and I thank You Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Activate the Power – Kenneth Copeland Devotional 14 March 2019

Topic: Activate the Power [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 14 March 2019]

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us. – Ephesians 3:20

As a believer, you have the power of the Holy Spirit inside you. But that power won’t go to work until you put it to work!

The Holy Spirit won’t just muscle in on you. He won’t come in and turn down the television set and jerk you up off the couch and say, “Now you listen to Me.”

No, He’s a gentleman. He’s sent to help you to do the will of God, to strengthen you, to counsel you…but He won’t do a thing until He’s asked.

That’s why the book of James says if you’re in trouble or afflicted, pray. It’s prayer that puts the power within you to work.

Also Read: Maintaining Spiritual Fervency in Marriage (Part 4) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Just think about that. The Spirit of Almighty God. The Spirit that hovered over the face of the deep and carried out God’s Word at Creation, that same Spirit is inside you—waiting for you to call on Him!

If Jesus came into your house and sat down at your table, you’d put aside everything to talk to Him, wouldn’t you? You wouldn’t just rush through and say, “Jesus, I’m so glad to see You. I wish I had the energy to talk to You, but You wouldn’t believe what kind of a day I had today. I mean, everything in the world went wrong and now I’m just too tired to do anything but lay here and watch TV. Maybe we can spend some time together later.”

You wouldn’t do that, would you? No! If Jesus were sitting there in your room where you could see Him, you’d fall on your face and begin to worship Him. You wouldn’t care how tired you were or what kind of day you had. You’d jump at the opportunity to fellowship with Him.

The Holy Ghost is in you. He’s waiting on you. He’s ready any time of the day or night. He’s saying, “I’m here to help you and strengthen you. I want to comfort you today. You know that problem you’ve been having? I want to help you get that out of your life.

The Holy Spirit has some things He wants to show you—things you’ve been trying to figure out on your own. He’s waiting there with the power to overcome every obstacle in your life. Take time to pray. Pray in the spirit. Pray with understanding. Pray and activate the power that works within you today.

Happiness – Billy Graham Devotional 14 March 2019

Topic: Happiness [Billy Graham Devotional 14 March 2019]

So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time. —Matthew 6:34 (TLB)

King George V wrote on the flyleaf of the Bible of a friend, “The secret of happiness is not to do what you like to do, but to learn to like what you have to do.” Too many think of happiness as some sort of will-o’-the-wisp thing that is discovered by constant and relentless searching. It is not found by seeking. It is not an end in itself. Pots of gold are never found at the end of the rainbow, as we used to think when we were children; gold is mined from the ground or panned laboriously from a mountain stream.

Jesus once told His disciples, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” The “things” He spoke of were the things that make us feel happy and secure—food, drink, clothes, shelter. He told us not to make these the chief goal of our lives but to “seek the kingdom” and these needs would be automatically supplied. There, if we will take it, is the secret of happiness.

Prayer for the day: Forgive me, Father, for the times when I am anxious. You have promised to take care of all my needs.

A Lifestyle Check – Andrew Wommack Devotional 14 March 2019

Topic: A Lifestyle Check [Andrew Wommack Devotional 14 March 2019]

Matthew 7:20, “Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”

Text: Matthew 7:12-20

The way that you can tell whether a person is genuine or not is by the fruit they produce. This fruit is speaking of lifestyle. Jesus made the point that you don’t get bad fruit from a good tree, and you don’t get good fruit from a bad tree. Many people say one thing, but their actions speak so loudly that you really can’t hear what they are saying. If you are in doubt about whether a person is genuine or not, or whether you should receive from them and follow their teaching, look at the fruit they are producing.

In evaluating ministers and ministries, more attention should be given to the fruit that is being produced. Failure to do this could lead someone to reject and even discredit a minister who simply makes a mistake or is wrong in one area. Every minister has shortcomings, just as every other member of the Body of Christ does. But that doesn’t mean his ministry is bad. Look at the fruit.

Fruit is the true test of ministers and ministries. If people are being saved, if lives are being changed, there is good fruit. Even though the minister may say something bad and make mistakes, the fruit is good.

Therefore, you can say that the tree is good. When a person says all of the right things and may seem sincere, but you see the lives of people around them shattered and torn, and in confusion and distress, then the fruit is bad. You can judge the effectiveness of a person by the fruit that they are producing in their life. In ministry you can judge the effectiveness of a minister by the fruit that his ministry is producing.

Today, make sure that the fruit that comes from your life is positive. Make sure that you are making a positive impact on people’s lives, that you are turning people to the Lord and not leaving them hurt and confused. People are looking at you to see what type of fruit you are bearing.

Access To Divine Secrets by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Access To Divine Secrets by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Topic: Access To Divine Secrets

It is access to divine secrets that can cause a man’s star to rise and shine. Divine secrets are treasured assets; one secret can turn a nobody into a star overnight.

Dan. 2:19 – Then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven.

By the secret that Daniel had access to, his star came alive and a captive all of a sudden became a captain in a foreign land to the point that the king of the land made obeisance to his own subject. That is what divine secrets can do.

Dan.2:46 – Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshipped Daniel, and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him.

Job 29:4 -As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle;

Divine secrets are indeed highly treasured assets. In this season of praying until something happens, I pray that as God begins to unveil the secrets of prevailing in prayers, that you will embrace them with all your heart and trade them with all diligence.

Also Read: Commitment To Your Family by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

It is not enough to have divine secrets revealed to you; it is important that you be alert enough to embrace it when it comes. For instance, if you can understand the divine secret behind Matt.6:33, you will embrace and trade it for your change of story.

A sleeping man cannot know when opportunity passes by; therefore be alert to embrace every divine secret that is being unveiled in every scripture and you will walk in reality of them all the days of your life in the name of Jesus!

You need to know how to prevail in the place of prayer and compel answers to your prayers. To prevail in prayers, you must learn how to approach the throne of grace boldly.

Heb.4:16 – Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Blind Bartimaeus was screaming and calling on Jesus despite been asked to shut up by the crowd. Jesus had to stop and attend to him because he came boldly.

Dan.2:16 – Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation.

Daniel and his brethren were too confident in their God that HE will give them the interpretation of the king’s dream. Your son-ship consciousness will enhance your boldness as you approach God in prayer. It took boldness for the prodigal son to return home. That was how favour found him and his story changed.

Therefore, as you partake in this month’s Week of Spiritual Empowerment program, be conscious of your son-ship and come boldly before your Father in prayers and your life will never ever remain the same again in Jesus mighty name –Amen!

God bless you

No Cheating – Open Heavens for Teens 14 March 2019

Topic No Cheating [Open Heavens for Teens 14 March 2019]

Memorise: “A false balance is abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is His delight.” – Proverbs 11:1

Read: Luke 19:8-9

8 So then Zacchaeus stood up and solemnly declared to the Lord, See, Lord, the half of my goods I [now] give [by way of restoration] to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone out of anything, I [now] restore four times as much.

9 And Jesus said to him, Today is [messianic and spiritual] salvation come to [all the members of] this household, since Zacchaeus too is a [real spiritual] son of Abraham;

Bible In One Year: Deuteronomy 23-25, Mark 14:51-72

MESSAGE:

Every day, we are faced with decisions that test our honesty even as teenagers. In fact, just because you are a child of God, the devil will test you very often, hoping that you will make wrong decision and disappoint God. It is a big mistake to think that the devil only comes with big temptations, because more often than not, the devil tempts with little things and it is the little things we fall for that lead to the big falls. Luke 16:10 says:

“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”

Do you tell your parents ‘small lies’? Do you take ‘tiny amounts’ of money from your parents without their consent? Do you modify the truth to your friends in school just to ‘feel among’? What of during tests and exams? Rather than study well, do you cheat? God is very interested in every single decision you make.

In Deuteronomy 30:19, God said it is always our responsibility to choose between life (right) and death (wrong). Every time you choose to do the right thing, you make God proud and he blesses you with life.

Key Point: According to Song of Solomon 2:15, it is little foxes (little sins) that often spoil the whole vine (a holy life).

Hymn 2:

1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey, for theres no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

MFM Daily Devotional 14 March 2019 – The Mysterious Power Of Forgiveness

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 14 March 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – The Mysterious Power Of Forgiveness

TOPIC: The Mysterious Power Of Forgiveness (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 14 March 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 22-24; Mark 14:1-26

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Luke 15:20-24

MEMORY VERSE: “And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” – Ephesians 4:32

The MESSAGE:

Speaker A: “I have forgiven my father for the shame he brought to the whole family but…”

Speaker B: “But what?”

Speaker A: “But I cannot relate with him like a daughter till I die”.

Speaker B: “What did he do?

Speaker A: “He was a notorious armed robber until he repented. He robbed even people in our neighbourhood and mistreated them. He was a very bad man and was never a good father. Today he is a Pastor, and I wonder why ‘they’ made him one after all he did. What kind of Pastor would he be? Why didn’t ‘they’ consider his past life to know that he is not qualified to occupy that position? Anyway, I have forgiven him for all he did but I will never forget the shame nor will I ever relate with him as a daughter until I die”

What is your own sad story? Have you vowed never to forgive that rapist, that school friend that introduced you to stealing, lesbianism, homosexuality and other bad habits that you are now struggling with? No one may perfectly understand your pain, but God does. Today, choose to be healed by forgiving.

Unforgiveness is living in eternal bondage; it can lead one to hell even after all the years of serving God.

It stops God from equally forgiving you (Matthew 6:12). When you forgive, you please God and truly prove to be His image and He blesses you for this. Unforgiveness stops you from willingly giving or not even giving your love, care, help, mercy, and more to others at all. And when you do not give, you will not be given either, especially by God.

Why must you forgive?* Forgiveness goes a long way in bringing your blessings to you. We are heirs with Christ because God forgave us, and there is no blessing that is greater than this. We should also not find it so difficult to forgive.

Forgiveness makes you look younger and stronger. Forgiveness gives you freedom from heart attack. Forgiving is obeying God’s command (Proverbs 3:3). You will be favoured and you will have a better understanding of life when you easily forgive. You should not just love God with your lips alone. If you love Him, forgive. Even, forgive in advance.

Partial forgiveness is simply not forgiveness. No matter how badly you have been hurt, accused or disappointed, forgive. Let go. Allow the mysterious power of forgiveness to bring you divine healing, restoration, peace, joy, refreshment, etc. Outside the sin of sexual immorality, the next thing that will make people miss heaven is unforgiveness. So, forgive now.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
AN UNFORGIVING HEART WOULD SUDDENLY FAIL, BUT FORGIVENESS IS LIFE.

PROPHETIC WORD:
Receive grace to forgive.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Holy Spirit, come and overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Spirit of unforgiveness in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
  3. O Lord, take away the heart of stone and give me the heart of flesh, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

  1. Blood of Jesus, rid my heart of every hurt and heal me, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I receive the grace to forgive everyone who has hurt me, in the name of Jesus.
  3. My Father, forgive me also as I have forgiven others, in the name of Jesus.
  4. I shall not miss heaven, in the name of Jesus.

DCLM Daily Manna 14 March 2019 – The Messiah is Here

Topic: The Messiah is Here [DCLM Daily Manna 14 March 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Isaiah 9:1-7 (KJV)

Key Verse: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).

MESSAGE:

In a time of national distress and affliction, people usually look up for a saviour that would deliever and set them free from bondage and oppression. They may even seek for a revolution that would change political leadership so that tyrants and wicked rulers would be eased out of office. Similarly, in time of sorrow and despair, we should not fear but take comfort in the promise of God.

Our reading today contains the prophecy of Isaiah about a coming Deliverer, who shall lead God’s people into a life of joy, peace and a right relationship with God. This was at a time when Zebulun and Naptali, two northern tribes of Israel were hit hard by Assyrian invasion. The invaders devastated the land and brought untold suffering on the people. There was a real need for a messiah to remedy the situation. Isaiah’s prophecy therefore described the character of the expected Messiah. The prophecy maintained that in the darkness of Israel’s distress and affliction, the Child being born shall be a great light to the people. And of His kingdom, there shall be no end. It is eternal.

The world today is in darkness of sin and ungodliness. God has sent His Son Jesus Christ as the Saviour. He is the Child that was born and the Son that was given. He is the Light of the world and anyone who fails to accept His Lordship is in darkness and has deliberately spurned the love of God. Such individuals are still in darkness. That is not the desire and plan of God who desires all men to be saved and reflect His light in their lives.

Thought For The Day: Light repels darkness everytime and everywhere.

Seeds of Destiny 14 March 2019 Devotional – Building your Faith through the Word

Topic: Building your Faith through the Word [Seeds of Destiny 14 March 2019 Devotional]

Faith is an indispensable necessity in the life of the child of God. The necessity of faith in the journey of life cannot be overemphasized. Faith in God is the secret of moving mountains (Matthew 17:20). Everything is possible for a person who has faith in God.

SCRIPTURE: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Every new insight from the Word of God raises your faith level.

Faith is an indispensable necessity in the life of the child of God. The necessity of faith in the journey of life cannot be overemphasized. Faith in God is the secret of moving mountains (Matthew 17:20). Everything is possible for a person who has faith in God.

Also Read: God’s Perspective of Marriage By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Now, the question is, how do you build your faith in God?

Faith is built by the Word of God (Romans 10:17). Beloved, every new insight from the Word of God raises your faith level. Light is the food of faith, Rhema (the revealed Word) is the fuel for faith. Any time you see something you have never seen before from the Word of God, your spiritual audacity shifts to the next level. A chicken-hearted or timid Christian can be turned into a lion-hearted or bold Christian by the virtue of light or revelation from the Scripture. The difference between eagles and vultures is in what they eat. The eagle only eats fresh meat while the vulture eats rotten flesh. Seeing an eagle in a vision is a great vision but dreaming of vulture is a nightmare. It is not a good omen or testimony if you see a vulture in your dream. This is because no one likes the vulture by virtue of its horrible looks which is a product of what it eats. Both the eagle and the vulture are products of what they eat. So, you are a product of your word intake. The Word of God builds faith.

Beloved, make up your mind to build your faith today by a consistent intake of the Word of God.

Remember this: Every new insight from the Word of God raises your faith level.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to build a solid faith in God.
  2. Study God’s Word consistently in order to build strong faith in God.
  3. Ask God for fresh insight in the Word.

Firebomb Attack at Temple Mount Incites Riot
