Asia Bibi’s daughter begs for mother to be allowed to join them

Asia Bibi was moved to a safe house in Karachi in Pakistan after her acquittal was upheld by the country’s Supreme Court last month but is reportedly experiencing very low blood pressure.

Despite being released after nine years on death row, with protests calling for her execution, and a petititon for a reconsideration rejected she has not been able to join her family in Canada and is thought to be being denied medial care.

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, Asia’s 18 year old daughter Eisham said: “I am missing her so much, I think about her all the time and I speak to her on the phone all the time. I say to her, ‘Have faith in God, because if God can release you from jail, God can release you from where you are now. He will bring you out.'”

Ms Bibi was accused of insulting the Islamic prophet Mohammad after a row involving a group of Muslim women over the use of a water cup. She always denied any wrongdoing.

Her family travelled around the world making her case (shown in Premier studios pictured above) and were then granted asylum in Canada, where it is thought Asia Bibi will be able to join them when she is allowed to leave Pakistan.

Last month, The Times reported that she is being stopped from completing her asylum paperwork while authorities put pressure on her to refrain from criticising Pakistan during media appearances once she leaves.

Eisham said: “When…

God’s Promise of Fruitfulness by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

God’s Promise of Fruitfulness By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Topic: God’s Promise of Fruitfulness

Dear Reader,

A wonderful New Month to you! God’s awesome presence shall be made manifest in your home, bringing about great signs and wonders. If you have waited a while to hold your baby in your hands, I am glad to let you know that this month is your time of visitation!

Barrenness is an issue that transverse geographical, economic and social barriers. This challenge has made many people engage in unspeakable things, so they could be called parents or be successful in life. Many people have found themselves in strange places, sacrificing to strange gods; yet, to no avail. The truth is, your long-awaited answer is in Jesus Christ. From the beginning, God blessed man: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis 1:28).

When God blesses, He adds no sorrow to it! So, receive your long-awaited blessings now, in Jesus’ name! This month, we will be examining the topic: God’s Promise of Fruitfulness. When God told Adam to be fruitful, it was not intended for him alone, but all human beings that would come after him. So, from the beginning, before you ever came into existence, you have been proclaimed blessed.

You must understand that the word ‘fruitful’ does not only include physical fruitfulness or childbearing but to be successful and have good results. In other words, God blessed the family and said, “Be successful, have good results”. If God said, “Be fruitful”, it means He had made adequate provisions for you to be fruitful in all ramifications. God is not wicked; He will not ask you to do what He knows you do not have the ability to do. So, when He said “Be fruitful and multiply,” it should dawn on you that you have what it takes!

Fruitfulness is not reserved for a few people; every child of God is ordained to be fruitful. The Bible says:

Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren among you, or among your cattle (Deuteronomy 7:14). You need a working knowledge of your covenant of fruitfulness

to take what belongs to you. Just in case you have been looking up to God for the blessing of children, you can be sure that God will put your own miracle into your hands right now! God has designed your home to be a heaven on earth, and in heaven, there is no barrenness, everything is productive, you cannot remain barren.

But what are the factors that make the covenant of fruitfulness effective?

1. Consecration: God through several Scriptures have made it clear that righteousness provokes or gives room to His blessings upon our lives. If being fruitful is part of God’s blessing, then consecrating ourselves will grant us access to these blessings. The Bible says: The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing (Psalm 92:12, 14)

What does consecration mean? It is to ”set apart, or be separated, for use by the Lord”. It is the giving of our whole being to God for service. Many people have undertaken risky and frustrating journeys, all in search of fruitfulness. Until you find your place in Christ, this journey will be more frustrating. There is a covenant of fruitfulness with Christ and this comes by truly dedicating your life to Him. God’s foundation as stated in 2 Timothy 2:19 cannot be changed, whoever builds on it can be sure of all-round fruitfulness, including having your biological children.

2. Service: The Bible says: And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfill (Exodus 23:25-26). When you genuinely serve God, you commit Him to your welfare. Service means giving yourself to the advancement of God’s Kingdom through prayers, fasting, reaching out to lost souls, seeking the welfare of other believers and giving your time and energy to the advancement of God’s work on the earth. When you are truly committed to these, God’s integrity is intact to ensure your fruitfulness. Take the story of the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4, as an example. She devoted her time and resources for the care of Prophet Elisha and she received the blessings of a son in return. Even when that child was challenged, he was raised instantly by her devotion to the Prophet (2 Kings 4:16-17).

When you are actively in God’s service, you are entitled to a reward and Psalm 127:3 says: Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As you covenant to serve God today, I see Him making you fruitful.

Marriage is designed for fruitfulness. Barrenness is not of God and should not be seen as a lesson or punishment from God; He tempts no man with evil. If there is anything like that, it is of the devil. Remember, the devil is the thief who has come to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). If you are married and reading this article and you are expecting the fruit of the womb, know that God is very interested in your being fruitful and multiplied. The devil is the cause of your affliction. A loving father does not give his son a stone in place of bread. Splash the Blood of Jesus on the devil and collect back your inheritance from him now!

For instance, you have been married for a few years now, and you are running out of patience with God. Maybe, there are even some mockers around you saying it to your hearing that you are ‘Baba or Mama nobody’, rejoice and be glad. Why? The will of your heavenly Father is that you be fruitful and the Word says: For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly (Psalms 84:11).

He will not ask you to come back tomorrow for this good thing; It is in His power to give you and He will surely give it to you now. This is your hour. God has made known His will to you. Who can turn His hand back? What kind of medical report can annul what the Almighty Himself says? Whose report will you then believe? Relax and stop panicking and running helter-skelter! Stop cursing and abusing your mockers! Be at peace with yourself and with your God and let His Word come to pass in your life.

If you are already born again, rejoice because your case is settled. If you are not yet born again and you desire to do so right now, please pray this prayer with faith in your heart: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.

Congratulations! If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).

TREM Devotional 10 March 2019 – Be Strong In Grace

Topic: Be Strong In Grace [TREM Devotional 10 March 2019]

“Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus”. 2 Timothy 2:1 KJV

The grace of God upon your life is intended by God to take you high above contrary situations and circumstances so that you can soar where others are crawling. In other words, when men are saying that there is a casting down, you are saying ‘there is a lifting up.’ That is what makes you different from the world! And they cannot understand how you function.

In his letter to his spiritual son Timothy, Apostle Paul encouraged him to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. That grace was to enable him endure hardship like a good soldier of Christ and yet stay on top of his game. In other words, hardship was not enough to stop God’s call upon Timothy.

Beloved, in a world such as ours today, you really cannot function without the grace of God upon your life, because everything is designed to work against you. If God does not help you, there is no way you can make it. But functioning by the grace of God is just the starting point. The truth is that you need to grow in that grace. In other words, for you to be strong in the grace of God, you must grow in it. And since growth can only come through the knowledge of Jesus Christ, you must take a quality decision to get to know Him intimately.

It is not all about just coming to church or getting involved in activities. It goes beyond that. You must make up your mind to personally seek the Lord in the study of the Word and in prayers and fasting so that you can know Him for yourself. Today, believers are easily satisfied with just attending church programs and there is nothing wrong about that, but unfortunately that is where many stop. No! Don’t stop there! You must develop an insatiable thirst for God in this day and time.

Seeds of Destiny 10 March 2019 Devotional – The Sin of Prayerlessness

Topic: The Sin of Prayerlessness [Seeds of Destiny 10 March 2019 Devotional]

Sin keeps you from prayer and prayer keeps you from sin.

SCRIPTURE: Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: 1 Samuel 12:23.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Sin keeps you from prayer and prayer keeps you from sin.

It has been established that the buoyancy of one’s prayer life is a proof of one’s dedication to God.

Prophet Samuel was given to prayer and sacrifice in Scriptures. By the power of his prayer and sacrifice, God sent thunder from heaven against the enemies of Israel (1 Samuel 7:7-10). On another occasion, he prayed and brought down both thunder and rain from heaven (1 Samuel 12:18).

Samuel was a man of prayer and from his life and practice of consistent prayer, he made us to understand that prayerlessness is a sin. Samuel told the children of Israel that God forbid that he should sin against Him in ceasing to pray for them. This means, dedicated people see the act of prayerlessness as sin. Beloved, to be prayerless is to sin according to Prophet Samuel. People who neglect prayer are not far from sin. Prayerlessness, especially failure to pray for those who are your spiritual responsibilities, is a sin of omission.

Beloved, you sin against God when you refuse or neglect the practice of prayer. To be prayerful is be easily sin-free. Sin keeps you from prayer and prayer keeps you from sin. That is to say, to be prayerful is to be easily sin-free, and to be prayerless is to be sin-prone. Prayer keeps you from sin because the Presence of God is a sanctifier, and prayer attracts God’s Presence. When you live with God at the place of prayer, His nature of holiness robs on you.

Beloved, my counsel is, make up your mind like Samuel not to sin against God by refusing to pray. Maintain a life of purity by maintaining a consistency of prayer life.

Remember this: Sin keeps you from prayer and prayer keeps you from sin.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to hang around God in prayer always in order to absorb His holy Nature.
  2. Decide not to fall into the temptation of prayerlessness.

PRAYER: O Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the sin of prayerlessness. I ask for forgiveness Lord in any area I have sinned against You by being prayerless in the past. Set your fire on my prayer altar, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

MFM Daily Devotional 10 March 2019 – How to Open the Windows of Heaven

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 10 March 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – How to Open the Windows of Heaven

TOPIC: How to Open the Windows of Heaven (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 10 March 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Deuteronomy 10-12; Mark 12:1-27

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 9:6-11

MEMORY VERSE: “Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.” – 2 Corinthians 8:7

The MESSAGE:

In today’s Fire Scripture, God commanded the Children of Israel to pay their tithes and see Him open the windows of Heaven’s prosperity to them. This indeed is a mystery. How can paying tithe become a key to open the windows of Heaven? But God had said so and it cannot be challenged. God Himself is a mystery and what He does is mysterious. A mystery is something beyond human understanding. So, we can never comprehend God (Job 37:5).

A tithe is a tenth of one’s income given willingly to God in appreciation of His many blessings to us. The law of Moses detailed tithing in Leviticus 27:30-32. A tithe is an expression of gratitude to God considering the fact that God is the owner of everything on earth.

What are the benefits of this mystery?

  1. In the reforms of the cities by king Hezekiah, He commanded the people to bring their tithes to God. The people responded with alacrity and the house of God was filled with offerings. Their tithes and offerings were part of the reasons the reign of Hezekiah was prosperous. The tithe the people paid produced immense prosperity.
  2. In John 12:24, Jesus said, a grain of wheat must fall into the ground and die before it could produce much grain. In other words, you do one grain of wheat and reap a plantation of wheat. This is a mystery beyond understanding.
  3. In 2 Kings 4:1-7, we read the story of Elisha and the widow’s oil. By the spirit of prosperity provoked by Elisha, the widow’s jar of oil was multiplied to many jars. This is another mystery that God performed to make us fear and honour Him. From a little thing you give to God, He gives it back to you abundantly. If you want to live a life of abundance, develop the habit of giving something to God.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
GIVE SOMETHING TO GOD TO RECEIVE A LARGE REWARD.

PROPHETIC WORD:
The spirit of abundance will not depart from your life.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. I shed off every embodiment of evil, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I shed off every garment of poverty, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Let the scribe of Heaven register my name now in the book of prosperity, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. I enter into the covenant of favour for my life, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Lord, open independent wells of prosperity for me, in the name of Jesus.
  6. I receive divine visitation now, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Lord, let Your covenant of divine provision work for me now, in the name of Jesus.

DCLM Daily Manna 10 March 2019 – Sowing and Reaping

Topic: Sowing and Reaping [DCLM Daily Manna 10 March 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Psalm 18:20-28 (KJV)

Key Verse: “With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful; with an upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright; With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself froward (Psalm 18:25,26)

MESSAGE:

There’s this story of a man who lived an honest life, and died without leaving much for his children in form of inheritance. His daughter felt her father’s life was not good enough, until she attended an interview for recruitment into a certain corporation. She changed her opinion when she learnt from the Chief Executive Officer of the establishment that it was her father’s help years back that lifted him to become what he was. The lady got the job and later rose to become the CEO of that corporation with a resolve to uphold the virtues of her late father.

In our text, the psalmist highlights his virtuous life before the Lord. The Lord also rewarded him for keeping himself away from sin. The law of sowing and reaping states that “whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. Everyone on earth is sowing something daily, knowingly or unknowingly. The words we speak are seeds, our daily decisions, actions and thoughts will eventually “germinate” to bring about varied results and happenings in the lives of men. Actions and inactions based on various decisions, will ultimately determine the eternal destinies of men. Joseph’s decision not to “do this great wickedness and sin against God” made him to reject Potiphar’s wife’s invitation to sin. Though he was imprisoned for his uprightness, God elevated him in due course.

As days, weeks, months and years are counting, and eternity draws nearer and nearer, we must exercise great discipline and self-denial for the incorruptible crown that awaits the overcomer at the end.

Thought For The Day: Sow good seeds and reap good harvest.

Open Heavens for Teens 10 March 2019 – Preventing Unpleasant Surprises

Topic: Preventing Unpleasant Surprises [Open Heavens for Teens 10 March 2019]

Memorise: “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in Heaven.” – Matthew 7:21

Read: Genesis 49:1-4

1 AND JACOB called for his sons and said, Gather yourselves together [around me], that I may tell you what shall befall you in the latter or last days.

2 Gather yourselves together and hear, you sons of Jacob; and hearken to Israel your father.

3 Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, the beginning (the firstfruits) of my manly strength and vigor; [your birthright gave you] the preeminence in dignity and the preeminence in power.

4 But unstable and boiling over like water, you shall not excel and have the preeminence [of the firstborn], because you went to your father’s bed; you defiled it–he went to my couch!

Bible In One Year: Deuteronomy 11-13, Mark 13:1-13

MESSAGE:

Restitution is a payment (could be in action or resources) made to someone for the damage or trouble caused. It implies that you admit that you have done wrong, you regret it and you are willing to right that wrong.

Restitution is very essential to make heaven. Our Bible text for today tells us how Jacob cursed his firstborn son Reuben who in the past had slept with one of his wives and hadn’t come to ask for forgiveness. Reuben was surprised that his father knew about it and never said anything. He probably felt he wasn’t angry with him but he was wrong. If Reuben had done the needful, he wouldn’t have encountered the unpleasant surprise he got at the end. This is why you need to be careful of the decisions you make today.

It is better not to make wrong decisions than to do and then have to make restitution.

Key Point:

Restitution is important if you want to make heaven.

Hymn 2:

1. When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey, for theres no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

3. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

4. But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

5. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Kenneth Copeland Devotional 10 March 2019 – Watch Your Language

Topic: Watch Your Language [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 10 March 2019]

In a multitude of words transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent. – Proverbs 10:19, The Amplified Bible

We believers need to start watching our language! We need to quit throwing words around like they weren’t important and start using them like our lives depended on it–because, according to the Word of God, they do! (Proverbs 18:21).

Too many of us have what Proverbs 19:1 calls a perverted mouth. Having a perverted mouth means more than lying and using profanity. It means having a disobedient mouth. It means saying things that are out of line with the Word of God.

All of us have done that at one time or another. We’ll say, for instance, that we’re believing God for our healing and then we’ll turn right around to someone and make a statement like, “This pain is about to kill me!”

That’s perverted! It’s backwards from what God’s Word says.

“Oh well, Brother Copeland, I know I said that, but it’s not really what I meant.”

Listen, the world of the spirit doesn’t operate on what you mean. It operates on what you say. Mark 11:23 tells us that “whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.”

Take note. That verse didn’t say you shall have whatsoever you mean. It says you’ll have what you say. It’s what you say that counts.

Now, I’m not suggesting you should be tied up in knots all the time worrying about what your next phrase might be. Just use the wisdom God has given you. Train your mouth to be obedient to His Word. Then, when you need it most, you’ll find that Word dwelling richly in you.

Matthew 6:31, “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?”

Text: Matthew 6:25-34

The Greek word used here for “thought” is “merimnao” and denotes “to be anxious or careful”. In this passage, as well as the parallel passage in Luke 12:22-32, Jesus is commanding us not to worry or be anxious about our material needs being met. It would be impossible to have no thought whatsoever about our physical needs. Even Jesus thought about His need for money to pay taxes (Mt. 17:24-27). We are simply not to be preoccupied with thinking about riches or spending our time worrying about necessities. These things will be added unto us as we seek first the Kingdom of God.

The way we take or receive an anxious thought is by speaking it. Doubtful thoughts will come, but we do not sin until we entertain them. According to this verse, speaking forth these thoughts is one way of entertaining them; therefore, don’t speak forth these negative thoughts.

It is imperative that we watch the words we say. Begin to speak words in faith that line up with God’s Word, then positive results will follow. If we speak words of doubt, we will eventually believe them and have the negative things that these words produce. There are no such things as “idle” words which will not work for or against us. Death or life is in the power of every word we speak (Prov. 18:21). Our words can be our most powerful weapon against the devil, or they can become a snare of the devil (Prov. 6:2).

Today watch your words. Speak only things that will express your faith, trust, and confidence in the Lord and not your fear about the situations you face.
