Female Athlete Calling for Fairness in Women’s Sports Accused of Transphobia
The conversation surrounding the topic of transgender athletes competing in women’s sports events continue. Former Olympic swimmer Sharron Davies spoke to Sky News in an interview, stating publicly the issues she is seeing with the increasing number of transgender women claiming victories in women’s sports in the United States.
Davies said she knows a lot of other female athletes who are scared to voice their concerns about transgender women, who were born male, competing in women’s sports. Many are afraid of being labeled “non-PC,” or accused of hate speech if they were to address the issue.
“And that’s what I think is wrong with this debate. Why should we label someone who has a different view as you as transphobic?” the former British Olympian said, calling for open and honest conversation.
Rachel McKinnon, a male who identifies as a transgender woman, won the women’s sprint in the 2018 UCI Masters Track Cycling World Championships. McKinnon has accused Davies of “sharing hate speech,” calling her a “transphobe.”
Concerning the accusations, Davies stuck to her position.
“I’m still going to stick to my point of view [which] is that, unfortunately, if you’re a transgender woman you will have spent a fair bit of your life and puberty as a man, or as a boy, and you would have the male benefits that that would give you,…
The Most Rev Justin Welby paid tribute to Charles’s “prophetic voice on the environment”, his work supporting disadvantaged young people and “concern” for the armed forces in a speech at a Buckingham Palace event hosted by the Queen.
The prince was surrounded by his immediate family at the reception, with his wife the Duchess of Cornwall by his side along with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge – a symbolic gesture of support for the future king.
Leading figures from Wales were also invited, including Falklands veteran Simon Weston, the band Stereophonics, Game Of Thrones star Owen Teale and First Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford.
The gathering of senior royals, Prime Minister Theresa May and representatives from Charles’s Welsh charities celebrated the moment on July 1 1969 when the Queen formally invested her son and heir with the title Prince of Wales at Caernarfon Castle.
The Archbishop said about Charles: “From service to young people and those caught in poverty, a prophetic voice on the environment, proved by time and events, concern for all who serve our country from the armed forces to the police, compassion for the suffering and humour with the brave and rejoicing, the list goes on and on.
“The investiture was unique. Seldom can a coming-of-age have had such a setting; seldom can…
Canadian Supreme Court Rules 14-Year-Old Can Have Hormone Injections without Parental Permission
The Supreme Court of British Columbia, Canada ruled last week that a 14-year-old girl can receive testosterone injections without parental consent.
According to The Federalist, a school counselor encouraged the girl to consider a gender change, and Dr. Brenden Hursh at BC Children’s Hospital agreed to provide testosterone injections for the girl.
The girl’s mother was initially OK with the treatment, but her father expressed concerns and wanted to wait until the 14-year-old was older.
Hursh said he was able to complete the treatment with the girl’s consent only under the BC Infants Act, but the girl’s father sought an injunction.
The court ruled, however, that the girl is “exclusively entitled to consent to medical treatment for gender dysphoria.”
“Attempting to persuade [the girl, identified by a pseudonym, Maxine] to abandon treatment for gender dysphoria; addressing [Maxine] by his birth name; referring to [Maxine] as a girl or with female pronouns whether to him directly or to third parties; shall be considered to be family violence under s. 38 of the Family Law Act.”
In response, however, the father said the government had “taken over” his parental rights.
“They’re using [Maxine] like she’s a guinea pig in an experiment … Is BC Children’s Hospital going to be there in 5 years when she rejects…
The Rt Rev Dr Pete Wilcox said there would be a “real public benefit” in an independent review of documents relating to the events at the miners’ strike in Orgreave, in South Yorkshire, in 1984.
But the Home Office said its decision – described as a “real kick in the teeth” by campaigners – was made in light of changes to policing over the last 30 years.
Thousands of pickets and police officers clashed at the coking plant on June 18, 1984, in some of the most violent confrontations in the year-long miners’ strike.
A total of 95 people were charged with riot and violent disorder, although they were never convicted, and a number were injured.
Campaigners have been calling for an inquiry into the police tactics on that day, claiming that striking miners were assaulted and falsely arrested.
The Rt Rev Dr Wilcox said he was convinced that an independent panel to examine all relevant documentation would have “considerable support” in the region and would help those involved to move on.
He said: “I recently outlined to the Home Office the case for such an Independent Panel for Orgreave. So far, that case has not been accepted.
“However, I remain convinced of the need for a formal process and will continue discussions to that end in this Diocese.
“I remain hopeful that progress can yet be made and I remain ready to assist in whatever way I can, whenever the time is right.”
21 States Sue Trump to Force Funding of Planned Parenthood Abortion Clinic
Twenty-one states said Monday they are suing the Trump administration to block a new rule that prohibits federal money from going toward family planning clinics that perform abortions or refer patients for abortions
The new rule was announced in February and requires family planning clinics to have a “clear financial and physical separation” from abortion providers. Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider, presumably would be impacted the most.
Supporters of the new run called it the “protect life rule.” Opponents dubbed it a “gag rule.”
The attorneys general of New York and Oregon announced one suit involving a total of 20 states and the District of Columbia. California filed a separate suit against the rule. At issue is what is known as Title X funding.
“What this new rule means is that providers who receive Title X funding will have to decide whether they will refuse the funding or ‘cave’ to the requirements of this new rule. Neither is a good or fair option for women and families who often have no other access to medical care,” Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum said.
Joining New York and Oregon in the suit are Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia…
Open Heaven 6 March 2019 Wednesday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – Go for the Unoccupied Lands
Topic: Go for the Unoccupied Lands (Open Heaven 6 March 2019)
Memorise: “And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.”- Luke 19:13
Read: Joshua 18:1-6 (KJV)
1 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them.
2 And there remained among the children of Israel seven tribes, which had not yet received their inheritance.
3 And Joshua said unto the children of Israel, How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?
4 Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.
5 And they shall divide it into seven parts: Judah shall abide in their coast on the south, and the house of Joseph shall abide in their coasts on the north.
6 Ye shall therefore describe the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, that I may cast lots for you here before the LORD our God.
Bible in One Year: Acts 27-28, Isaiah 55
Open Heaven 6 March 2019 Wednesday MESSAGE:
When you read from the first chapter of the book of Joshua, you will realize that before the people of God gathered in Shiloh to set up the tabernacle of assembly in the eighteenth chapter, they had already been dwelling in the Promised Land. Today’s Bible reading even indicates that the land was subdued before them. However, up till that moment, there was still a large proportion of the Promised Land they had not occupied. When Joshua did an assessment of their progress so far, he discovered that seven tribes out of twelve were yet to receive their inheritance. Although God had given them this land by covenant and divine decree, it was still their responsibility to take it. In Joshua 18:3b, Joshua, perturbed by their slothfulness in taking their possession, lamented before the people saying:
“How long are ye slack to go to possess the land, which the LORD God of your fathers hath given you?”
In like manner, our Lord Jesus Christ has conquered the world for us, but we are yet to possess all the conquered territories of the inhabited world. As the Body of Christ, are we not becoming guilty of the same slothfulness exhibited by the servant with one pound in Luke 19:20, who refused to occupy before his master’s return?
Another disheartening dimension of our failure to occupy is that territories which had been occupied by our forebears- the fathers of the early church- have been recaptured by satanic agents, under the guise of religion. Instead of taking over occupied territories, we are even losing the occupied one! This is the reason why a territory such as Constantinople (modern-day Turkey) needs to be repossessed by Christ today. Let us learn from today’s Bible reading and respond positively to the Great Commission. It is time for us to go for unoccupied territories and re-occupy those that have been lost.
There is a tendency for us to lose or limit the deep meaning of the command to “occupy”. It means much more than getting busy. It means we should spiritually take possession of territories, so that Jesus is enthroned as Lord over the whole earth. Beloved, how engaged are you for the Lord? What territories are you occupying for Christ? Are there no unoccupied territories very close to you in your father’s house? Are there no souls the devil has occupied for decades before and after you became born again? God is commanding you today, “Occupy souls for Christ.” To be effective in this assignment, you yourself must be occupied by the Holy Spirit, having given your life to Christ. The Lord will help you and go with you as you strive to fulfill this assignment in Jesus’ Name.
Open Heaven 6 March 2019 Wednesday Prayer Point:
Father, occupy my life so that I can occupy territories and influence others for you.
Open Heaven 6 March 2019 Wednesday Hymn 15: Must I Go, And Empty-Handed
1.“Must I go, and empty-handed,”
Thus my dear Redeemer meet?
Not one day of service give Him,
Lay no trophy at His feet?
Chorus:
“Must I go, and empty-handed?”
Must I meet my Savior so?
Not one soul with which to greet Him:
Must I empty-handed go?
2.Not at death I shrink nor falter,
For my Savior saves me now;
But to meet Him empty-handed,
Thought of that now clouds my brow.
3.O the years in sinning wasted;
Could I but recall them now,
I would give them to my Savior,
To His will I’d gladly bow.
4.O ye saints, arouse, be earnest,
Up and work while yet ’tis day;
Ere the night of death o’ertake thee,
Strive for souls while still you may.

The Local Government Association say they have been left no choice because the government have cut their funding.
Council tax in the North East will increase by an average of £86 and £71 in London.
Rachel Gregory from Christians Against Poverty (CAP) told Premier: “Last year we saw a 5.1 per cent rise on average in 2018/19 and then 4.5 per cent this year so it is now reaching quite a pinnacle – the council tax rates that people will be paying in the next financial year.”
She said that the additional money to pay will be a “real concern for many people”.
“Many families across the UK are feeling the pressure of rising food prices and stagnating incomes,” she explained.
“For those on really low incomes, council tax bills are a particular challenge because up to 2013, council tax benefit meant they weren’t required to pay anything and they received 100 per cent benefit.
“But since 2013, it’s been replaced by a new system and low income households now have to pay at least a quarter, if not a bit more of their council tax bill. At CAP, one in two of the people we help have fallen behind with the council tax – it’s one of the top debts that we help people with.”
The rise is the second highest rise in a decade, the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (Cipfa) said.
Christian Abortion Doctor: The Good Samaritan Inspired Me to Do Abortions
An abortion doctor who is a professing Christian says he began performing abortions after having an “epiphany” while listening to a sermon about the Parable of the Good Samaritan.
Willie Parker, an OB/GYN who provides abortions at clinics in five states (Alabama, Mississippi, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Illinois), said during a February debate with a pro-life apologist that a sermon by Martin Luther King Jr. impacted his career.
“Dr. King said that … what made the Good Samaritan good was his ability to reverse the question of concern,” Parker said. “… Instead of asking what will happen to me if I stop to help this person, he asked what will happen to this person if I don’t stop to help him?”
Parker listed other facts that persuaded him: “one in four women” will have an abortion by the time they’re 45, maternal mortality “in this country is at an all-time high,” and illegal abortions are unsafe.
“As someone who has chosen medicine at the craft, I have an ethical responsibility to provide healthcare to that woman,” Parker said. “And as a Christian, I’m thrilled that I have the moral responsibility to provide compassionate care to that woman, even in the face of people who stridently disagree with me, many of who share the same faith identity with me, and many of who stand silent or stand with disregard as 11 people have been murdered…
Rhapsody of Realities 6 March 2019 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome – Beautifying Your Spirit
Topic: Beautifying Your Spirit
When Moses came down from Mount Sinai carrying the two Tablets of The Testimony, he didn’t know that the skin of his face glowed because he had been speaking with GOD (Exodus 34:29 MSG).
Man is a spirit being and not a physical body. Many, however, have put a premium on their outward appearance; they go through rigorous exercises and dietary plans; some even go through severe surgical procedures to maintain or enhance their physical looks.
But you see, don’t be carried away by all the praise you might receive for your outward appearance. The truth is, there’s no glory like that of your spirit. That should be your dream: beautifying your human spirit!
1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” Thus, you’re born of the Word, and contemplating the Word should be a priority. When you study the Word or receive its ministry in teaching or preaching, it glorifies or beautifies your spirit. You’re strengthened, energized and invigorated for greater works.
Moses had an experience recorded in Exodus 34. He had spent so much time (forty days and forty nights) with God on Mount Sinai, receiving the Ten Commandments. When he came down from the mountain, his face radiated the glory of God, such that everyone who saw him couldn’t look at him.
Moses had to wear a veil to shroud the glory that had rubbed off on him (Exodus 34:29-33). That’s the effect of deep contemplation and meditation on the Word. 2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
The Word of God is where the glory is, and the New Covenant is far more glorious. As you receive the Word, at your quiet time, devotion, or church services, the intensity of the glory in your life is increased; you’re enraptured, beautified, and enveloped by His glory.
PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for your Word, which causes your glory to shine forth with much intensity in my life and in all that I’m connected with. As I meditate on the Word of faith, I experience victory, divine health, and blessings! My life is an expression of your supernatural grace, glory, perfection, beauty and righteousness. I’m continually metamorphosed from glory to glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Rhapsody of Realities 6th March 2019 Devotional was written by Pastor Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (D.Sc., D.D.). President of Loveworld Inc. aka Christ Embassy Int’l.
Julia Jaegar, who left the force and is now a voluntary police chaplain with Surrey Police, told Premier: “We have seen police number cuts since 2010.
“We seem to have become a much more violent society. Many more people are carrying knifes or weapons, which they never used to do.
“They think other people are carrying a weapon, therefore they will.”
Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressida Dick echoed that sentiment on Tuesday and acknowledged a link between violent crime and officer numbers – contradicting Theresa May.
The comments come after two 17-year-olds were killed in separate stabbings in London and Greater Manchester at the weekend.
Jaegar said she did agree with Mrs May wanting to tackle the root cause of rising violence.
She told Premier’s News Hour: “We seem to have become a much more violent society.
“Many more people are carrying knifes or weapons, which they never used to do. They think other people are carrying a weapon, therefore they will.
“We have much more violent computer games so young people are exposed to violence from an early age.”
While she said she didn’t know the solution, she stressed the importance of government, families and schools working together to help counter violence.
“I also think as a Christian, successive governments and councils have taken RE out of the school syllabus so…
