Topic: Utilize The Available

Whatever God wants to use to bless and lift you is around you. God will not use something far from you to lift you. What you need is the grace of God to recognize what God has made available.

1 Corinthians 2:9-12 (KJV) But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

The Holy Ghost causes you to know the things that God has given to you.

Ephesians 1:3 (KJV) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

2 Peter 1:3 (KJV) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

There is nothing you are looking for that God has not given to you; it all depends on your ability to know how to tap into it. Planning to use what you do not have for the next phase of your success is a trap from the devil. God wants us to start with what we have right now and not with what is not yet available.

Jesus, in John chapter 6, had a challenge of insufficiency in feeding the multitude that were with Him. With a possibility mentality, He showed gratitude to God for what He already had; as a result of that, God intervened and the food became surplus.

Until you know what to do in tines of challenge, frustration is inevitable. The potential inside of you needs to be ignited for you to excel in life and business.

God will always use what you have to create what you want. Despising what you have now is actually destroying your future. What you have may not be enough in your physical eyes but with the supernatural grace of God, what you have is enough. If you can think enough, what you have is enough to start with because every lifting us hidden in something. Develop a new mindset.

The financial growth for your tomorrow is hidden in the seed you have today; when you refuse to sow that seed, you have inevitably lost your harvest for tomorrow. Stop seeing life from the angle of obstacles; start seeing life from the angle of miracles. Your ability to identify something is what takes you to your next phase.

The first step cannot be ignored if you want to start or win a race. Start up something with what you have as you proceed to break forth and succeed in business; and you will see how successful you will be in that business. Remember, there is power in “small beginnings”.

I pray that your eyes will be opened in the name of Jesus – Amen!

God bless you

TREM Devotional 8 February 2019 – It Is All About Jesus

Topic: It Is All About Jesus [TREM Devotional 8 February 2019]

“For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.” 1 Corinthians 2:2 KJV

In all that we do, if Jesus is not the focus, then we have lost it all. It is all about Jesus. Paul said he was determined not to know anything else, except Jesus, and Him crucified. This is the reason for life. As a matter of fact, the reason for the earth’s existence is Jesus. Oh yes, that is the reason. Forget anything else happening all over the world in different nations. The reason for this earth is Jesus. At the centre of it all, it is Jesus that I see.

In the book of Philippians 3:10, Paul said: “That I may know him” He said my greatest desire, hunger and passion is to know Jesus. Paul was a religious man that was passionate for God but yet ignorant. He was more concerned about his Torah and the rules and regulations that were handed down to him. He was concerned about what to do to earn God’s approval. Do this and God will do this for you. If you don’t do this, God won’t do this for you. That is all he learnt and he was sincere. And he pursued it passionately until one day on the road to Damascus, Jesus appeared to him. And He said to Paul, “it is not about what you do or what you don’t do. At the centre of it all, it is all about me. So it will be wrong for you to leave me and be pursuing shadows.”

When you travel outside the country or travel outside your matrimonial home, at times you take some photographs so you could look at your wife and your children while you are away. When you miss them, you could bring out the photograph. Now, would it not be stupid when you come back home and you are still looking at photographs when they are alive, right there with you? Jesus is the real thing! Every other thing is a shadow. May God enlighten you.

DCLM Daily Manna 8 February 2019 – Shutting Out The Prince Of Peace

Topic: Shutting Out The Prince Of Peace [DCLM Daily Manna 8 February 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Isaiah 2:1-9 (KJV)

Key Verse: “…And shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more” (Isaiah 2:4).

MESSAGE:

Visitors to the United Nations building in New York are often perplexed when they read what is written on a cornerstone there: “…they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore.” This is part of a prophecy about the conflict-free reign of Jesus Christ when He returns to establish His government on earth as depicted in Isaiah 2. The UN quotes it to suggest that the body is capable of bringing peace to our war-plagued world.

But since 1945 when this global grouping came on board, there have been more threats to world peace and insecurity than mankind has ever known in its history. There are frightening weapons of mass destruction along with sophisticated guns in the hands of both state and non-state actors. There are low-intensity wars across the planet and daily there are fears they might erupt into a consuming conflagration.

The reason for the flight of peace from man is that although men quote God’s promises, they do not satisfy His requirements. They have alienated the One who gives security. They have shut His Son out of their lives. Yet He is the Author of peace we desperately need.

God’s blessings manifest only when we obey and serve Him as He directs in the Bible. We must not only quote His promises or inscribe them on our buildings. We must not have an academic disposition to the Scriptures. The word of God is what we must preserve and do if life is to be cherished.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Peace avoids those who void the Bible.

Seeds of Destiny 8 February 2019 Devotional – An Offense-Free Heart for a Healthy Living

Topic: An Offense-Free Heart for a Healthy Living [Seeds of Destiny 8 February 2019 Devotional]

SCRIPTURE: And herein do I exercise myself, to have always a conscience void of offence toward God, and toward men. Acts 24:16

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Tormenting demons are attracted to embittered people.

Research has shown that bitterness or unforgiveness is one of the causes of sickness. Sometime ago,”I went to pray for a woman who had cancer and before I could finish the prayer, the LORD led me to ask her to forgive. So, I told her to forgive anyone she was bitter against in her heart. ‘I cannot forgive him’, she said. Then, I discovered that she was holding a grudge against her ex-husband in her heart. She laboured to build her life together with her husband from the scratch and when they became rich, the man pushed her out of the house they both built and took in a strange woman. What a wicked world! She was so bitter until she got that attack of cancer. She could not forgive and the end of it was not good.

On another occasion, a young lady came to my office on two crutches; she was about to get married and then had a terrible accident that broke her two hip bones. Again, the LORD led me to ask her to forgive; she was overwhelmed and then we prayed. She went and forgave the people who offended her and she was healed – the broken bones were healed without any deficiency. The next time I saw her, she had already married and was dedicating her baby on the altar standing on her two legs. Beloved, to forgive is to be healed; refusal to forgive is acceptance to be sick.

Bitterness invites trouble to your body (Hebrew 12:15). Tormenting demons are attracted to embittered people (Matthew 18:34). When you lock someone in your heart, you attract the ministry of tormentors.

Beloved, the power to forgive offenders is the power to be released from every form of bondage. Avoid bitterness and unforgiveness at all cost; ask God to give you the grace to forgive.

Remember this: Tormenting demons are attracted to embittered people.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Check your heart to know if there is any one you are holding a grudge against secretly.
  2. Ask God for the grace to forgive all forms of offences even in advance.

PRAYER: O Lord, I refuse to be tormented because of bitterness. I receive the grace to forgive anyone I may be holding a grudge against secretly in my heart, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heavens for Teens 8 February 2019 – Whatsoever Things are of Praise

Topic: Whatsoever Things are of Praise [Open Heavens for Teens 8 February 2019]

Memorise: “I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” – Psalm 34:1

Read: Philippians 4:8

8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

Bible In One Year: Leviticus 4-6, Matthew 25:1-30

MESSAGE:

Many people are angry with God because they feel He did not show up for them when they needed Him. They forget that His ways are not our ways. Isaiah 45:9 says woe unto anyone that strife with his maker
.
I laugh most times when I hear people give God ultimatums to do their bidding. First and foremost, he knows what is best for you and that is what you should be asking Him to do. Secondly, if He doesn’t do what you want, what can you do? Will you charge Him to court? Who will rule against the King of kings?

In our memory verse for today, David said he will bless the Lord at ALL times. That is, whether in sorrow or happiness, plenty or lack, life or death, he will continue to bless the Lord. He also said in Psalm 71:20 that even though he had been through many sorrows, He knew that God would raise him up again. This should be your attitude towards God, don’t think of God as someone who brought you pain, think of Him as the one who heals your broken heart.

Key Point:

You can’t fight the Maker of heaven and earth, praise Him instead.

Andrew Wommack 8 February 2019 Devotional – He Left Judaea

Topic: He Left Judaea [Andrew Wommack 8 February 2019 Devotional]

John 4:1,3, “When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized disciples more than John…He left Judaea.”

Text: MT. 4:12; MK. 1:14; JN. 4:1-3

This is an interesting passage of scripture. On the surface, it might look like Jesus was running from a fight. Now that John the Baptist was out of the way (he had been imprisoned), it was inevitable that the Pharisees would attack Jesus.

One thing we can be sure of is that there was no fear on our Lord’s part. On other occasions He demonstrated that no one could do anything to Him if He didn’t allow it (Lk. 4:29-30; Jn. 7:30, 44-46; 8:20, 59; 10:39).

Therefore we can assume that Jesus left because He knew it was God’s will. On another occasion when His half brothers dared Him to go to Jerusalem and confront the Pharisees, He told them that it wasn’t time for Him to go yet (Jn. 7:1-6). A lesser man would have been intimidated into showing His superiority.

Jesus was the most selfless person who ever walked the earth. He did not come to earth for Himself, but for us. If He would have defended Himself, we would have never been saved. The humility of Jesus was surely interpreted by some to be weakness, but in truth it was love. Not love for Himself, but love for a dying world of which He was the only hope.

Billy Graham Devotional 8 February 2019 – Power Over Sin

Topic: Power Over Sin [Billy Graham Devotional 8 February 2019]

Those who belong to Christ have nailed their natural evil desires to his cross and crucified them there. — Galatians 5:24 (TLB)

The strength for our conquering and our victory is drawn continually from Christ. The Bible does not teach that sin is completely eradicated from the Christian in this life, but it does teach that sin shall no longer reign over you. The strength and power of sin have been broken.

The Christian now has resources available to live above and beyond this world. The Bible teaches that whosoever is born of God does not practice sin. It is like the little girl who said that when the devil came knocking with a temptation, she just sent Jesus to the door.

Prayer for the day: Lord Jesus, I need Your power continually. You know how many times I am tempted.

Despite Being Held Prisoner for Two Years in Turkey, Pastor Brunson Says He Wants to Go Back

Despite Being Held Prisoner for Two Years in Turkey, Pastor Brunson Says He Wants to Go Back

Despite being held prisoner in Turkey for more than two years, North Carolina Pastor Andrew Brunson shared on Wednesday that he would like to go back.

According to the Christian Post, Brunson shared with the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom that he knows God loves the Turkish people and he feels as if he is still being called to serve there.

Brunson met the USCIRF on Wednesday at the Senate Welcome Center to thank the commission for the tireless work they put forth while advocating for his release.

He said of the United States to the commission, “I don’t know how many countries have this kind of emphasis on religious freedom, not just in their own country but trying to advocate for it around the world. I think this is something very unusual, very admirable.”

His wife Noreen also thanked the commission for providing support to her husband while he was being jailed in Turkey. She said, “We’re aware that not all stories end the way ours did, so just keep up your work. And we have to give glory to God.”

Brunson added that since his arrest and eventual release he fears that restrictions on Christians will become more aggressive in Turkey. He told the USCIRF, “I think there is going to be more difficulty for the church in Turkey.”

“There are more restrictions coming right now. There have been a number of missionaries…
