TREM Devotional 30 January 2019 – There is a Might Inside You

Topic: There is a Might Inside You [TREM Devotional 30 January 2019]

“And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?” Judges 6:14 KJV

Beloved, even in the midst of your seeming limitation, there is might inside you that you need to release. The way to release it is to run with the Word. Don’t come to church every day and just hear the Word of God. What God expects you to do is to advance your life with the Word. The Word has the ability to produce and the extent to which it produces depends on the soil that is receiving the Word. If the soil is hardened and not open to receive the Word that seed will die. In the same congregation where others come, probably once in a year, latch unto what they are hearing, run with it and produce results; you would be wondering what happened to you. Nothing happened! The difference is the soil. Every seed that God gives to us is supposed to produce after its kind.

Go in this thy might and dream big. Do you know that God has an intention that your dream should outlast you? In other words, when you are gone the dream is still speaking. Bro Mike what does that then mean? It means to dream big! Stretch yourself beyond what you can achieve. Look beyond what you can achieve. Make plans beyond what you can achieve and put God in motion on your behalf.

God said to Gideon go in this thy might and he went. The same person that said I am poor, my parents are poor, my name is poor, everything written about me is ‘poor,’ rose up and went. And I love what he did afterwards. If you read the account, you will notice that he destroyed the foundation that kept him down. He destroyed the evil altar in the family and raised another altar. In other words, if there exists any altar in your life which is not God’s, destroy it!

Seeds of Destiny 30 January 2019 Devotional – Living A Life Of Affection For God

Topic: Living A Life Of Affection For God [Seeds of Destiny 30 January 2019 Devotional]

SCRIPTURE: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To love God is to spend time with Him.

It has been confirmed that we live in a generation where people have zero regard for God who is their Creator. Everyone does what he/she likes and this is why the Power and Presence of God is scarce in our days. We see little of God’s manifestations because dedicated people are scarce. To be dedicated to God is to stand up in life; to be dedicated to God is to stand out in life. Therefore, what does it mean to be dedicated to God?

Dedication to God means a life of affection for God. Now, let me show you what it means to have affection for God. It is:

i. Living a life of addiction to God (Matthew 22:37)
To have affection for God means living a life of addiction to God; it is living a life that cannot do without God. It is being addicted to God the way a person would be addicted to drugs. When you are incurably addicted to God, everyone around you would know and feel it.

ii. Living a life that is in love with God (Mark 12:30)
To have affection for God means living a life that is madly in love with God. When you are in love with God, people may look at you and think that the way you serve God has crossed boundaries because you are madly in love with Jesus.

iii. Loving God and spending time with Him (Mark 3:14)
To love God is to spend time with Him. When two people love themselves, they enjoy one another’s company. So, your love for God makes you spend time with God. Dedicated people spend time with God. People who are dedicated to God spend time in the study of God’s Word and in prayer.

Remember this: To love God is to spend time with Him.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to be addicted to God and His Purpose on earth.
  2. Spend time with God in personal communion regularly and consistently.

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive the grace to be addicted to You. Help me to spend time with You in personal communion and fellowship always, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heavens for Teens 30 January 2019 – Tell Jesus

Topic: Tell Jesus [Open Heavens for Teens 30 January 2019]

Memorise: “Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7

Read: 1 Peter 5:6-7 (KJV)

6 Therefore humble yourselves [demote, lower yourselves in your own estimation] under the mighty hand of God, that in due time He may exalt you,

7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

Bible In One Year: Exodus 19-21, Matthew 20:1-16

MESSAGE:

A particular minister of God who was an interpreter was not happy with his incomplete set of teeth. He was embarrassed each time he had to interpret for the preacher. He was over forty years old at the time. After carrying that burden for too long, the Lord intervened. He woke up to find fresh teeth growing in his mouth at 40!

God cares for your physical body. Whatever the challenge you have with your body, tell Him and He will do something about it. If you expect Him to do something when you have not invited Him, don’t be surprised if He does nothing. If you want to be taller or shorter, tell Him, if you want to be slimmer or fatter, tell Him. If you are physically challenged, tell Him. If you have any form of deformity in your body, tell Him. He cares about how you look and He wants you to look the best.

You must however take note that God knows best, if He decides not to change what you are asking Him to change, it is for a genuine reason and you must understand and cooperate with Him to make that reason come to pass.

Key Point:

You can talk to God about anything, He cares.

Hymn 10

  1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
    What a privilege to carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
  2. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
Can we find a Friend so faithful?
Who will all our sorrows share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness,
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
  3. Are we weak and heavy laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Savior, still our refuge,
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
    In His arms He’ll take and shield You;
You wilt find a solace there.

MFM Daily Devotional 30 January 2019 – Stay Strong

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 30 January 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Stay Strong

TOPIC: Stay Strong (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 30 January 2019)

Bible In One Year: Exodus 23-24; Matthew 20:1-16

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Mark 10:42-45

MEMORY VERSE: “There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” – Joshua 1:5

The MESSAGE:

One of the ways the enemy troubles God’s children is to bring all kinds of storms into their lives. For many people, as they deal with one storm, the enemy brings another to them. Sometimes too, God allows storms in our lives. Whether the storm you are facing is from the enemy or God, you need to learn to be strong in the face of storm, exercise faith and with authority rebuke it.

There is a rainbow after every storm. Storms are the challenges men and women face in life. Children too face storms. The rich and the poor both face storms. But storms are not permanent. They come and go. If you stay strong during the storm and endure it and overcome it, you will see a rainbow after the storm.

Storm stands for the time of Jacob’s trouble, time of trial and affliction. The rainbow is a symbol of covenant and light at the end of the tunnel. While the period of storm represents the night, the rainbow represents the morning. The Bible says that sorrow may tarry till night but joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5).

The Bible says, “Surely there is an end. The expectation of the righteous will not be cut off” (Proverbs 23:18). The storm of no husband has an expiry date. The storm of no child has an expiry date. The storm of poverty has an expiry date. The storm of indebtedness has an expiry date. The storm of ill-health has an expiry date. The storm of joblessness has an expiry date. Darkness does not have the power to last forever. Sorrow may tarry till night, joy comes in the morning.

Job did not fail in the day of adversity. He was strong and he experienced restoration. God gave Joshua a charge to be strong and courageous. He was, and he successfully led the Israelites to the Promised Land.

When storm comes to your life, arise and rebuke it in the name of Jesus. If you have faith, the storm will hear your word and depart. The Lord has given you authority to rebuke storms. He reprimanded his disciples who could not handle the storm they faced but had to call him. He called them men of little faith. He expected them to execute faith and rebuke the storms themselves. Exercise your authority in Christ. Be strong in the Lord!

Beloved, Jesus said that believers will experience tribulation in this world, but they should cheer up because He has overcome the world. The storms of life comes to all people. It can come anytime. That is why you should be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Make God’s word your source of power and strength. As you feed on God’s word and obey His commandments, your faith will increase and you will be able to overcome the storms of life.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
WITHOUT COURAGE, WE CANNOT PRACTICE ANY OTHER VIRTUE WITH CONSTITENCY. WE CAN’T BE KIND, TRUE, MERCIFUL, GENEROUS OR HONEST.

PROPHETIC WORD:
The storms of life will not swallow you, you shall come triumphantly.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. O God my Father, make me a carrier of Your word, in the name of Jesus.
  2. O God, let Your word open new chapter for my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
  3. O God my Father, take me to a new level, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. Let the word of God be a life-giving water to my destiny, in the name of Jesus.
  5. My Father, uphold me by the power of Your word, in the name of Jesus.
  6. My Father, let Your word create solution to all my life problems, in the name of Jesus.
  7. Lord, let Your word produce signs and wonders in my life, in the name of Jesus.

Our Daily Bread 30 January 2019 Devotional – Adopted

Topic: Adopted [Our Daily Bread 30 January 2019 Devotional]

Bible in a Year: Exodus 25–26; Matthew 20:17–34

God sent his Son . . . that we might receive adoption to sonship. – Galatians 4:4–5

Today’s Scripture & Insight: Galatians 4:1-7

I’m glad when a philanthropist builds an orphanage for homeless children. I’m thrilled when that person gives even more and adopts one of them. Most orphans would be delighted merely to have a patron. But then to learn the sponsor isn’t content merely to help me but also wants me. How must that feel?

If you’re a child of God you already know, because it’s happened to you. We couldn’t complain if God had merely loved us enough to send His Son that we might “not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). It would be enough for us. But not for God. He “sent his Son . . . to redeem” us, not as an end in itself, but “that we might receive adoption to sonship” (Galatians 4:4–5).

The apostle Paul refers to us as “sons” because in his day it was common for sons to inherit their father’s wealth. His point is that now everyone who puts their faith in Jesus, whether man or woman, becomes a “son” of God with equal and full rights of inheritance (v. 7).

God does not merely want to save you. He wants you. He has adopted you into His family, given you His name (Revelation 3:12), and proudly calls you His child. You could not possibly be loved more, or by anyone more important. You aren’t merely blessed by God. You are the child of God. Your Father loves you.

Today’s Reflection
Father, what a privilege to call You this! Thank You for saving me, and for wanting me.

Kenneth Copeland Devotional 30 January 2019 – Make His Word the Last Word

Topic: Make His Word the Last Word [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 30 January 2019]

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. – Revelation 1:8

Jesus is the beginning and the ending. He is the Almighty. When He told us that in the book of Revelation, He wasn’t just giving us a general piece of information about Himself. He was giving us a powerful truth we can apply now, today!

Let me show you how. He said He is the beginning. So no matter what challenge or situation you may be facing right now, you need to start with Him. John 1:1 says Jesus is the Word. That means, if you’re going to start with Jesus, you’re going to start with the Word. Don’t do anything until you find out what the Word has to say about it.

Then, stay on the Word. As Colossians 1:23 says, “Continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard.”

Continue in the faith. The only way the devil can defeat you is to pressure you into throwing away the Word. Everything he does, every challenge he brings you is intended to make you doubt the Word of God. So don’t let go of the Word, no matter what may happen. Settle it with God in prayer and stay with it forever. It is written!

Then end with the Word. Jesus said He was the first and the last. That means the word of your doctor is not the last word. Even the word of your pastor is not the last word. The Word of Jesus is the last Word!

Remember this: You are now what the Word says you are. You can do what the Word says you can do. And you can have what the Word says you can have. Begin to believe that. Begin to say it out loud in faith.

Now shout the victory. Yes, now! You don’t have to wait to see the outcome to celebrate. You have Jesus’ Word on the matter, so you know beyond any doubt that your breakthrough is coming. Once you’ve settled yourself on Him, you can be assured that He will have the last word!

Andrew Wommack Devotional 30 January 2019 – Settling Our Doubts

Topic: Settling Our Doubts [Andrew Wommack Devotional 30 January 2019]

John 1:46, “And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.”

Text: John 1:43-51

Nathanael suffered from a skepticism that afflicts many people today.

However, it is to his credit that he came to the Lord and gave Him a chance to prove who He was.

We can only speculate what it was that Jesus saw Nathanael doing under that fig tree (v. 50), but it is very clear that it was something that proved beyond a doubt that Jesus was the Christ.

Jesus didn’t rebuke Nathanael for his doubts, instead he removed them. The Lord has an answer for every doubt that we have. We need to be without guile before the Lord as Nathanael was (v. 47) and come to Him when we are plagued with doubts instead of running from Him or avoiding Him.

Jesus knows our frame. He remembers that we are but dust (Ps. 103:14). It is not a sin to doubt, but it becomes sin if we harbor those doubts. We should do as Nathanael did and bring our doubts to the Lord. Let’s allow Him to deal with them.

Topic: Use Your Time Wisely [Billy Graham Devotional 30 January 2019]

For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. — James 4:14

Nothing takes God by surprise. Everything is moving according to a plan, and God wants you in that plan. The devil also has a plan for the world. God has a plan and the devil has a plan, and you will have to decide which plan you are going to fit into. Scripture says that God allows us 70 years and some beyond.

The first 15 are spent in childhood and early adolescence. Twenty years are spent in bed, and in the last five, physical limitations start to curtail our activities. That gives us about 30 years in which to live as adults. We take time out for eating, and for figuring our taxes, and we are down to perhaps 15 years. Now suppose we spend seven of those years watching television. That cuts us down to seven or eight years. Our time is short! The time we can invest for God, in creative things, in reaching our fellowmen for Christ, is short!

Prayer for the day: Each hour of every day that is left of this earthly life, I would spend serving You, Lord Jesus. Forgive the time spent so often in needless endeavor.
