The Victorious Family (Part 1) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

The Victorious Family (Part 1) By Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Topic: The Victorious Family (Part 1)

Dear Reader,

Peace and blessings in the name of Jesus Christ! Happy New Year and Month to you! This year shall be an exciting one, filled with great testimonies for you. God will grant you dominion on all sides as He opens great doors for your family in Jesus’ name.

God has designed the family for success and not failure. He proved this by being practically involved in the institution of the first marriage and subsequently the family. The truth is, when a Christian family fails, it gives room for mockery; but when there is family success, it becomes an enviable example to others.

Understand that a victory in a home makes a successful family. Any family who gains victory or success in family-related issues is bound to succeed in other areas of life. There is no limit to the kind of blessing and pleasure God can bring to your life when your home is in order.

The family can be likened to a highly valuable product. Just like every product requires the necessary raw materials to become finished goods and function excellently, so also the family cannot function successfully until relevant materials are fully processed. That is why to begin this year, I will be looking at the topic: The Victorious Family.

This teaching, among other things, will expose us to vital keys that will guarantee success and triumph in all areas of your family life. That is God’s will for you. However, it does not come by chance, as nothing successful can be classified as an accident. Family triumph comes through consistent obedience to God’s Word. To begin, however, you must understand the following:

1. God is interested in the Triumph of your home: One of the reasons why your marriage must succeed is that God has interest in your home. God was practically involved in the first wedding ceremony between Adam and Eve. He designed the home to succeed. The Word of God says, And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man (Genesis 2:21-22).

Also Read: Commitment In Marriage (Part 4) by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

God is the originator of family life and just like every other manufacturer, He desires that His product succeeds. He made all it takes for a triumphant home readily available for you through His Word and obedience is what it takes to access it. Without any doubt, anything associated with God is meant to succeed. Marriage is associated with God, therefore, it is meant to be successful.

2. Triumph also entails all-round Fruitfulness: When God created the first family, His first interaction with them was to bless them. Among other things, His blessing includes fruitfulness, not just of the body, but in all areas of life. He said to Adam and Eve, “Be fruitful; multiply; replenish the earth; subdue it!” (Genesis 1:27-28). The fact that God rained blessings on the first family clearly indicates that every family is meant to be successful. These blessings will answer for you in Jesus’ name!

3. To be triumphant, means to have Dominion: Man was created to take dominion over all things, this includes every force that may want to hinder the peace and joy in your home. Dominion means to be in control and marriage was established to be in control of, and not under the control of circumstances and situations of life. The Word of God says, Have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth (Genesis 1:28). Your family, therefore, is designed to have dominion over all situations and circumstances of life. This includes financial, material, health, spiritual, etc. Be endued with this dominion in Jesus’ name!

4. God designed your home to be filled with Abundance: From the beginning, it is evident that God designed families for abundance because of the place he kept them. The Word of God says, And the Lord God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it (Genesis 2:15). The Garden of Eden was filled with everything that man would ever need. It was a place of abundance and splendour and there was no lack, sickness or terror there. That is God’s plan for your family; His desire is that your family gives you pleasure.

God designed the home for every member of the family to enjoy one another, experience fulfilment, laughter and excitement. He never intended the family to experience pressure, but pleasure. He designed the family to make life pleasurable. In case the situation in your home is far from being pleasant, as you read this article, believe God for a reversal, and it shall be so for you!

5. God designed marriage for glory: God designed marriage to take shame away from man. It is meant to advance, increase and promote you. It is not a necessary evil like some people in the world call it, but it is ordained to make life complete for you. You shall not see shame in your home anymore! Marriage brought man into a state of better living, glory and beauty. There was no cause for fear or regret.

Success in the home begins by knowing God, the Creator of the universe. You get to know God by accepting Jesus as your Lord and Saviour; this means being born again. If you are not born again, you need to surrender your life to Christ. If you want to accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Saviour, then say this prayer in faith: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.

Congratulations! If you prayed this simple prayer of faith with me, you are now born again and a child of God. He loves you and will never leave you. Read your Bible daily, obey God’s Word and seek Christian fellowship (John 14:21).

With this, you are guaranteed all-round rest and peace in Jesus’ Name! Call or write to share your testimonies with me through [email protected], 07026385437 OR 08141320204.

Understanding what Kingdom Service is all About by Pastor Paul Enenche

POWER COMMUNION SERVICE – 16TH JANUARY, 2019
ANCHOR SCRIPTURE(S): EXODUS 23:25-26
MESSAGE TOPIC: DEDICATION TO KINGDOM SERVICE
SERVICE OBJECTIVE: UNDERSTANDING WHAT KINGDOM SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT
BY: DR. PAUL ENENCHE

Most giants in Scripture were referred to as the servants of God. Service to God was a distinguishing identity of their lives.
It is not possible for a person to be truly spiritual and not serve

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF DEDICATED PEOPLE THAT WERE SERVANTS OF GOD:

  1. Abraham (Gen. 26:24; Ps. 105:41-43)
  2. Moses (Ex. 4:10; 14:31; Num. 12:6-8; Deut. 34:5)
  3. Joshua (Josh. 5:13)
  4. David Ps. 78:70; 89:3, 20)
  5. Daniel (Dan. 6:16, 20)
  6. Paul the Apostle (Rom. 1:1; Tit. 1:1)
  7. The Master Jesus (John 9:4)

FACTS ABOUT SERVICE:

  1. Service is proof of submission
You gladly serve anyone you are submissive to
  2. Service is proof of dedication or commitment
  3. Service is proof of value (Matt. 4:10)
  4. Service is proof of affection (love)
Acts of service is a love language
You can’t claim to love or value God if you are not interested in serving Him

WHAT SERVICE IS ALL ABOUT:

  1. Service is the meeting of needs or the filling of gaps
  2. Service is the offering of help, kindness or assistance
  3. Service is the making of a difference or the addition of value
  4. Service is the offering of satisfaction or the creation of fulfilment
  5. Service is the running of errands (addiction to errands)
  6. Service is availability for instructions or readiness for orders
  7. Service is the deployment of effort, time and ability to offer solution

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SERVICE:

  1. The heart of humility (1Chron. 29:14)
  2. The passion to make a difference or to meet a need (1Sam. 17:26)
  3. Genuine love and affection for God (Ps. 27:4-5)
When you genuinely love God, you want to spend and be spent for God

THE PROFIT OF KINGDOM SERVICE:

  1. Kingdom service brings completion to life (Gen. 2:8, 18)
God Himself identifies what is lacking in your life and fills it up
  2. Kingdom service attracts the Blessing of God; it attracts supernatural supplies (Ex. 23:25)
  3. Kingdom service attracts Divine health and vitality (Ex. 23:25)
  4. Kingdom service attracts longevity (Ex. 23:25-26; Deut. 34:5, 7)
Kingdom service is a prolonger of life
  5. Kingdom service brings a dressing of honour and dignity (Prov. 27:18)
If you serve God well, you can’t escape honour
  6. Kingdom service attracts the unction or the anointing of God (Ps. 89:20)
When you serve God well your head cannot lack the anointing and if the anointing is not lacking the yokes must break
  7. Kingdom service is the doorway to a life of distinction (Mal. 3:17-18)
  8. Kingdom service attracts Divine defence (Mal. 3:17)
  9. Kingdom service is the way to answered prayers (Luke 1:5-13)
There are answered prayers that are waiting at the place of service
  10. Kingdom service is the secret of Divine Presence (Mark 16:20)
There are answered prayers that are waiting at the place of service

KEYS TO EFFECTIVE SERVICE:

  1. Ask God to show you your area of service or assignment (Acts 9:6)
  2. Look inwards to identify inherent giftings or potentials that can be used in service (1Sam. 16:17, 23)
  3. Look outwards to see needs that compel your attention or involvement
The need you are created to solve always cries out for you
  4. Serve reverently and in the fear of God (Heb. 12:28-29)
You cannot serve sinfully and achieve any result with God – sin will taint your service and destroy its profit
  5. Serve reverently and passionately (Rom. 12:11)
Don’t drag your feet to do the things of God
  6. Serve heartily, not with eye service (Eph. 6:4-6)
Serve God, not man; struggle to please God not man; work for God not for man, if your service is to be accepted
  7. Serve with the mentality of being privileged (Heb. 5:4)
Never think that you are doing church or the pastor a favour
  8. Go the extra mile (Eccl. 9:10)

Excellent Service by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Excellent Service by David Ibiyeomie

Topic: Excellent Service

Service is a vital aspect of our walk with God. Service makes our walk with God meaningful and fruitful. Without service, your walk with God is fake. Your glorious future is secured through quality service to God. Service is your ladder to higher heights in life. We are primarily saved to serve God. The soul searching question now is, “should we serve God with a sense of mediocrity or touch of excellence?” God deserves excellent service from His people because He is an excellent God. God’s name alone is excellent.

Also Read: Excellence by David Ibiyeomie

Isaiah 28:29 (KJV) This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.

Since God is excellent in His workings, you have to reciprocate by serving Him with excellence. This means using the best of your divine endowments, skills, talents and resources for the promotion of God’s Kingdom. It is rendering to God quality oriented service. It is striving for the top or best quality in every work you do for the advancement and promotion of God’s Kingdom here on earth. It is doing your very best in anything you do for the promotion of God’s Kingdom. God believes in excellence. The streets of heaven are paved with gold. He commanded that the Ark be built and finished with pure gold representing glory and excellence. (Exodus 37:1-29)

Why do you use high quality materials in your house and then want the inferior quality things for the kingdom of God? Why do you render excellent service to your boss in the office, which is good though and feel that service to God should be done casually and anyhow? God is the MOST HIGH; He deserves the best from anyone forever.

If your service is cleaning the house of God, seek the best and attractive way to render that service. If you are ushering, usher with a lovely style and skill that will make the person feel at home. If you are decorating God’s house or altar, go for the best and the most modern quality of material and style. Seek to be current always and not outdated in what you do for the promotion of God’s Kingdom. You must strive for excellence at all times in your service delivery in the Kingdom of God.

There are requirements for Excellence in Service and one of it is “Excellence” Mindset. Excellence or quality is a mindset and not determined by size or budget. Developing a quality improvement mindset is very important and essential for everyone who has decided to serve God with excellence.

Another way is to give attention to Details. One major key to excellent service whether in Church or in other corporate systems is paying attention to details. You must pay attention to details if you want to be excellent in your work. You need to be meticulous, detailed, thorough, careful and painstaking. Mind the little things. Minor things if not checked can create major problems that will adversely affect the quality of your service.

Be Innovative: To serve with excellence, you need to seek for new and best ways to do that assignment. You must be creative. Go for new ideas that will depict quality when that service is rendered. Research for new ideas to improve your service. Search the internet for current information relevant to your assignment in the Kingdom of God.

Have a Passion for Excellent Service: Passion for excellent service is the driving force in the heart of any person who truly wants to serve God with his or her best. You may have the mindset for excellence but if there is no burning desire (passion), excellence cannot be pursued.

Focus: Matthew 6:22 (KJV) The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

If you put your whole heart into what you are doing, better ideas and insight will come that will enhance the quality of your service. Divided attention will always result in mediocre quality of service.

When you serve God excellently, He is pleased and He will reward you accordingly.

Ephesians 6:7-8 (KJV) With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

Make a decision today to render quality service to God. Pay any price; make any sacrifice until you make excellence happen in your service to God! God will in turn distinguish you in life in Jesus name- Amen

God bless you

TREM Devotional 17 January 2019 – Don’t Give Room to Fear

Topic: Don’t Give Room to Fear [TREM Devotional 17 January 2019]

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, only believe.Mark 5:36 KJV

What the devil works with is fear; that is why the Bible is full of ‘fear not’. If there was nothing to fear, God won’t tell you not to fear because once fear arises, faith goes out of the door. Fear is the weapon the devil uses, that is what he introduced in the garden. God called Adam and said to him ‘where are you?’ Adam’s reply is ‘I was afraid’. Child of God, I come to tell you not to give room to fear.

Fear not when the situation seems to persist or when it seems to be getting worse. Fear not when your meal barrel seems to be running dry. Fear not when your creditors come. Fear not when it looks as if the job or the business is not coming. Fear not when it seems as if you are ageing and husband is not coming. When you are going into an examination or when you are going to submit your LPO, don’t be afraid. The Bible says that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. The people you are going to meet are under God. Have you not heard that the heart of the king is in His hands and He will direct him to wherever He wants just like a river?

Let me tell you a secret you don’t know; you are in the company of those who have the greatest advantage, the exclusive few that God has gathered together. Opportunities abound around you. So, fear not!

Another reason why you should fear not is that you have the Word of God in you. Stand on the Word and keep standing until your testimony manifests. Don’t give up too easily. Keep on standing on the Word. The problem with us is that we approach God as if He is a man. He is not a man! He is God! He will come through for you.

MFM Daily Devotional 17 January 2019 – Beware Of Mammon

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 17 January 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Beware Of Mammon

TOPIC: Beware Of Mammon (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 17 January 2019)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: John 12:1-8

Bible In One Year: Genesis 39-40; Matthew 12:1-23

MEMORY VERSE: “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” – 1 Timothy 6:10

The MESSAGE:

Even before Judas betrayed Jesus, his lifestyle and ways had shown he was recalcitrant and unChrist-like. Jesus knew that Judas’ ways were not right and that Judas would betray Him. He discerned Judas’ double-faced and hypocritical attitude in John 12. Mary, Lazarus’ sister had taken a pound of very costly oil of spikenard, anointed Jesus’ feet, wiped His feet with her hair and the house was filled with the fragrance of the oil. But Judas said, “why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarius and given to the poor. This he said, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and had the money box; and he used to take what was put in it”.

Though he followed Jesus like other disciples, listened to His teachings and saw His exemplary character like others, Judas never imbibed nor imitate Jesus in any way. His motives were ulterior and bad, his ways were not right and his lifestyle was ungodly. He gave place to the devil and chose to be a child of perdition. Jesus pronounced woe on Judas and said it was better that he was not born. Isn’t it a surprise that someone with a terrible character like Judas’ will be found among Jesus’ disciples? Jesus’ words to the Father in John 17:12 explains this: :While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled”. Judas, by his choice, became a child of perdition.

The love of money is the root of all evil. Beware of the lure and trap of mammon. Judas fell into the trap of mammon and lost his ministry, status and destiny as a disciple or apostle of Jesus. Little foxes spoil the vine. As Christians, the Bible admonishes us to always examine our ways and be sure we are in faith. If Judas had been examining his ways, perhaps he would have retraced his steps. From stealing the common purse in his custody, he graduated to selling his Master for 30 pieces of silver. The love of money, indeed, is the root of all evil. The things human beings who are slaves to mammon have done and are still doing to get money inordinately are unprofitable. Judas made a wrong choice. He gave place to the devil and ruined his career and destiny. Another man took his office. This will not be your portion, in the name of Jesus.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
MONEY IS NOT EVERYTHING. IT WILL BUY YOU BED BUT WILL NOT GET YOU SLEEP.

PROPHETIC WORD:
Money will not take the place of God in your life and lead you to hell.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. Spirit of mammon, my life is not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
  2. I overcome the lure and trap of mammon, in the name of Jesus.
  3. No one shall pluck me out of the hand of the Lord, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. I will not lose my life and ministry to mammon, in the name of Jesus.
  5. I disconnect my life and destiny from the hold of mammon, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Father, I will not betray you for filthy lucre, in the name of Jesus.
  7. I refuse to be a spiritual misfit and I will not disappoint the Lord, in the name of Jesus.

DCLM Daily Manna 17 January 2019 – Gateway through Prayer

Topic: Gateway through Prayer [DCLM Daily Manna 17 January 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Acts 10:9-26 (KJV)

Key Verse: “On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour.” (Acts 10:9).

MESSAGE:

When God is about to call a person to the discharge of a special duty, He often, in a special manner prepares him. Paul was converted on the way to Damascus when he was blinded by divine glory that shone from above. When Ananias was called to find him, he was told: “…behold, he prayeth” (Acts 9:10,11). How badly he needed that to be able to fulfil the ministry he was about to receive from the Lord.

In our text, the Lord was about to open a great door for the Gentiles to come into the Kingdom through the hearing of the gospel. Having decided to use Apostle Peter, the Spirit nudged him to retreat to a secluded roof top to pray. Peter obeyed, not knowing that some gentle enquirers were coming their way. It was necessary for him to pray in this manner as directed by the Spirit so that his witness and preaching might be under the fresh influence and anointing of the Holy Spirit.

If we must be useful in the Kingdom, we must always heed His calls to Christian separation and prayer. God cannot accomplish much with us if we are not totally dependent upon Him in constant prayer and intercession. Though David said: “Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray…” (Psalm 55:17), God’s call to prayer or intercession can come any time in between. We are to be sensitive to the nudging of the Holy Spirit and yield our lives and time to labour in prayers for the never dying souls of sinners around us. Pray that God will find you dependable in this regard.

Thought For The Day: Prayer, our first and necessary duty.

Open Heavens for Teens 17 January 2019 – The Chosen Intercedes

Topic: The Chosen Intercedes [Open Heavens for Teens 17 January 2019]

Memorise: “Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before Him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.” – Psalm 106:23

Read: Psalm 106:20-24 (KJV)

Bible In One Year: Genesis 41, Matthew 13:1-32

MESSAGE:

To intercede is to stand in the gap and speak or pray for other people. When you are a child of God, you should love your neighbor as you love yourself. This love will then make you an intercessor for that fellow.

Many Christians are missing out on their duties to pray for others.

“And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.”

In the above passage, God looked for someone amongst the Christians who interceded, but He found none. This means that some people will be destroyed if we do not pray for them.

When you see some of your mates committing sin, instead of judging them, pray for them. It could be your prayers that will bring them to know Christ. Pray for your friends, pray for your teachers, pray for your school, pray for your parents, pray for your siblings. Your prayers are very important in ensuring that some people do not suffer.

Key Point:

Every time you pray for yourself, ensure you pray for someone else too.

Hymn 11:

  1. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus,
    Ye soldiers of the Cross!
    Lift high His royal banner,
    It must not suffer loss.
    From victory unto victory
    His army shall He lead,
    Till every foe is vanquished,
    And Christ is Lord indeed.
  2. Stand up, stand up for Jesus,
    The solemn watchword hear;
If while ye sleep he suffers,
    Away with shame and fear.
    Where’re yeah meet with evil,
    Within you or without,
Charge for the God of battles,
And put the foe to rout.
  3. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
    Stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you,
Ye dare not trust your own.
    Put on the gospel armour,
    And watching unto prayer;
    Where duty calls, or danger,
    Be never wanting there.
  4. Stand up! Stand up for Jesus!
    The strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle,
    The next the victor’s song.
    To him that overcometh
    A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of glory
    Shall reign eternally.

Seeds of Destiny 17 January 2019 Devotional – The Commitment of No Return

Topic: The Commitment of No Return [Seeds of Destiny 17 January 2019 Devotional]

Scripture: O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. Daniel 3:16-18.

Thought For The Day: Being committed to God to the point of no return is refusing to serve the devil even if God seems not to meet your needs temporarily.

We live in a world where satan sets different things before God’s children as distractions in their lives in order to make them turn back from following God like Lot’s wife (Genesis 19:26). The intention of God for His children is for them to serve Him to the end.

It was God’s servant, Bishop David Oyedepo, who once told God, ‘God, when we arrive eternity and I realize that there is no heaven, anywhere You go, I will follow You.’ This is a practical example of a commitment of no return. Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were committed to God in this way. When they were confronted with the choice of bowing down before the graven image of king Nebuchadnezzar or face the danger of being thrown into the fiery furnace, they made up their minds that even if God would not deliver them, they would not bow before the image of the king (Daniel 3:16-18). This is what God expects from the life of every Child of His.

Beloved, being committed to God to the point of no return is refusing to serve the devil even if God seems not to meet your needs temporarily; it is refusing to serve the devil as an option to serving God in the face of the trials and challenges of life (Job 1:18-22). Being committed to God to the point of no return is the refusal to look back no matter what happens (Luke 9:62). A person who is committed to God to a point of no return does not have the phone number of a former sinful partner.

My counsel is, make up your mind never to look back from following God.

Remember this: Being committed to God to the point of no return is refusing to serve the devil even if God seems not to meet your needs temporarily.

Our Daily Bread 17 January 2019 Devotional – Worshiping with Questions

Topic: Worshiping with Questions [Our Daily Bread 17 January 2019 Devotional]

Bible in a Year: Genesis 43–45; Matthew 12:24–50

I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. – Psalm 13:5

Today’s Scripture & Insight: Psalm 13:1-6

It’s not uncommon during a long (or short!) trip for someone in a group of travelers to ask, “Are we there yet?” or “How much longer?” Who hasn’t heard these universal queries coming from the lips of children and adults eager to arrive at their destination? But people of all ages are also prone to ask similar questions when wearied because of life challenges that never seem to cease.

Such was the case with David in Psalm 13. Four times in two verses (vv. 1–2), David—who felt forgotten, forsaken, and defeated—lamented “How long?” In verse two, he asks, “How long must I wrestle with my thoughts?” Psalms that include lament, like this one, implicitly give us permission to worshipfully come to the Lord with questions of our own. After all, what better person to talk to during prolonged times of stress and strain than God? We can bring our struggles with illness, grief, the waywardness of a loved one, and relational difficulties to Him.

Worship need not stop when we have questions. The sovereign God of heaven welcomes us to bring our worry-filled questions to Him. And perhaps, like David, in due time our questions will be transformed into petitions and expressions of trust and praise to the Lord (vv. 3–6).

Today’s Reflection
Lord, thank You that I don’t have to stop worshiping when I have questions; I can worship You with my questions.
