Topic: Fear Not [TREM Devotional 10 December 2018]
“Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.” –Isaiah 54:4
There are about 365 ‘fear nots’ in the Bible. This is because there are so many things that can make you afraid. The bad thing about fear is its paralyzing effect. When you are afraid, you really cannot do much. That is why God has so many “Fear Nots” in the Bible.
In our scripture for today, God not only tells you not to fear, He gives you a mind-reassuring promise that you shall not be ashamed, neither shall you be confounded. What is confronting you and making you have sleepless night? You have all it takes to stop it today. You have in the Word of God that you will not be confounded. God has your back covered. His mind is full of you. He is interested in your success; your part is to cooperate with Him.
Fear is a torment, don’t let the devil torment you. The popular meaning of fear is so apt: False Evidence Appearing Real. The devil is like a roaring lion; he is not a lion. He makes all the noise to scare you; don’t let him. What the devil is dangling before you is a mirage; it is not real. He does not have the power he makes you think he has. Stand firm in the victory God has already made available to you. You have His word of assurance and His word is good enough for you. He is not a man to lie or the son of man to repent. His Word has all it takes to come to pass. He is totally in control.
Opportunities to fear will come, but when that happens, remind yourself of the promises of God. That was why God said to Joshua in Joshua 1:8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but through shalt meditate therein day and night …” Your victory is in the Word, hold on to it.

Topic: “The Lord’s” [Our Daily Bread 10 December 2018 Devotional]
Read: Isaiah 44:1–5, Bible in a Year: Hosea 1–4; Revelation 1
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.Romans 8:16
It doesn’t take much to notice that getting “inked” is very popular these days. Some tattoos are so small that one barely notices them. Others—from athletes to actors to everyday people—have opted to cover much of their bodies with multicolored inks, words, and designs. The trend seems like it’s here to stay, a trend that netted $3 billion in revenue in 2014—and an additional $66 million for tattoo removal.
Regardless of how you may feel about tattoos, Isaiah 44 speaks metaphorically about people writing something on their hands: “The Lord’s” (v. 5). This “self-tattoo” is the climax of an entire paragraph that speaks of the Lord’s care for those He had chosen (v. 1). They could count on His help (v. 2); and their land and descendants were marked for blessing (v. 3). Two simple, powerful words, “The Lord’s,” affirmed that God’s people knew they were His possession and that He would take care of them.
Those who come to God through faith in Jesus Christ can confidently say of themselves, “The Lord’s!” We are His people, His sheep, His offspring, His inheritance, His dwelling. These are the things we cling to in the varied seasons of life. While we may have no external mark or tattoo, we can take heart that we have the witness of God’s Spirit in our hearts that we belong to Him (see Romans 8:16–17).
Prayer: Father, the expressions of Your love and care are all around me and Your Spirit lives within me. Thank You!
How can the truth that you belong to God impact how you live?
INSIGHT
Isaiah was the most prolific of the writing prophets, but the great size of his book is eclipsed in importance by its content. Commentator John Gill wrote: “He should rather be called an evangelist than a prophet . . . certain it is that no one writes so fully and clearly of the person, offices, grace, and kingdom of Christ; of his incarnation and birth of a virgin; of his sufferings and death, and the glory that should follow, as [Isaiah] does.” Isaiah’s focus on Messiah and His mission was vital to preparing the way for Christ’s coming, for it provided Israel with critical identifiers of Christ and certain hope in His promised victory.
Thought For The Day: The only thing impossible with God is nothing.
It is confirmed that our God dwells in the realm of possibilities. Impossibilities cannot exist with God. The only thing impossible with God is nothing.
Sometime ago, during our annual Twenty-one day fasting and prayer programme, a young man testified of how he needed some amount of money to pursue his admission into the University but it was not forthcoming. While on his way from Church, a stranger pursued him on a motorbike and gave him the exact money he needed. Only the God of all possibilities can do such a thing.
Now, what are the keys to activating possibilities with God?
Unshakable Belief in the reality of God. You must believe that you are serving a real God and that you are not wasting your time serving God (Hebrews 11:6).
Authentic relationship with God. Possibilities with God does not belong to those who play religion; it is when you are real with God that you can see the realities of God (Phil. 3:10).
Strong Belief in the Promises of God. Believe that everything the Word of God says is true (Mark 9:23).
Strong Conviction in the Acts of God. Whenever a person testifies, it is a pointer to what God can and is about to do in your own life. Testimonies are pregnant with power for reproduction (Luke 1:45).
Beloved, you would see the God of all possibilities at work in your life if you do the outlined steps above.
Remember This: The only thing impossible with God is nothing.
Assignments:
Let the Presence of God be your dwelling place at all times.
Do not disbelieve testimonies from the brethren; believe God.
Prayer: O Lord, I believe in the promises in Your Word. I thank You because nothing is impossible with You. Do Your wonders in my life, Lord in Jesus’ Name.

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 10 December 2018 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Dress And Keep It
TOPIC: Dress and Keep It (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 10 December 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 9:1-6
MEMORY VERSE:“And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.” – Genesis 2:15
The MESSAGE:
Life would be a boring adventure and a futile project until you locate the garden from where you are destined to operate. There is a garden you are destined to function in and this is the place where you find fulfillment in life. Have you discovered your garden and purpose in life?
The next important thing you are to do after being born again is to prayerfully discover your purpose in life. Thank God, Christ came to reconcile man to God but would not be able to fulfill purpose if you do not ask for it. Have you discovered your purpose (garden) in life –so you can dress and keep it? You cannot make impact in life if you are too lazy to dress and keep your garden.
You cannot please God if you function at a level below that which He created for you. Your career is to enhance the fulfilment of your purpose, but your career is not necessarily the same thing as your purpose. Whatever area of calling (purpose) God has created you to fulfil, improve on yourself, read more books, pray more and associate yourself with the right people. No one fulfils purpose in isolation. Do not live your life chasing shadows or destroying God’s purpose for your life. God would not applaud you for the duration you lived but for the quality of life you lived. Guard your destiny (purpose) against those things (premarital sex, youthful exuberance, alcoholism, worldliness etc.) that would destroy it. Having discovered your purpose in life, nurture it, remain in your location and guard it against all forms of distraction or destruction.
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW LONG YOU LIVE ON EARTH, HOW MUCH MONEY YOU MADE OR HOW MUCH ATTENTION YOU RECEIVED: IT IS THE AMOUNT OF POSITIVE VIBRATION YOU RADIATED IN LIFE THAT MATTERS.
PROPHETIC WORD: I decree that you will not work in a wrong garden.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
Powers of my father’s house, that want to destroy my purpose, you are liars, die, in Jesus’ name.
Negative forces pushing me to live contrary to divine purpose, be consumed by fire, in Jesus’ name.
I separate myself from every unfriendly friend that will destroy my purpose in life, in Jesus’ name.
EVENING
I shall not wander away from my location, in the name of Jesus.
Power to fulfil purpose, my life is available, enter, in the name of Jesus.
Every gathering of darkness assigned to cut my life short, scatter, in Jesus’ name.
Grace to make positive impact in life and in eternity, enter my life, in Jesus’ name.

Topic — Fruit of the Spirit; Love [Open Heavens for Teens 10 December 2018]
Memorise:But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; Luke 6:35a
Read: Galatians 5:22-23 (KJV)
Bible In One Year: Hosea 5-8, Revelation 1
MESSAGE:
For the next few days, we will be talking about the Fruit of the Spirit, and it is very important to let you know right from the beginning that it is one and only one fruit. It is, however, made up of nine different distinct parts as seen in our Bible reading for today. These nine parts are attributes that every born again child of God must genuinely possess.
According to our memory verse, to truly love is to be good and generous without incentive or hope that the favour you have shown will be returned to you. In the world today, the rule people live by is ‘give and take’, but the rule of true love is ‘give and give and give’. Our perfect example is our Heavenly Father who gave His only Son for the sins of the world even when the world rejected Him. From today, always step out of your home consciously deciding to be nice, kind, warm, encouraging, generous, patient and loving everyone you come in contact with.
Prayer Point: Sweet Holy Spirit, please fill my heart with love. Give me the grace to selflessly show love to the people around me.
Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is the love of God flowing through you?
Are you telling the lost of the Savior?
Are you ready His service to do?
Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.
Is your life a channel of blessing?
Are you burdened for those that are lost?
Have you urged upon those who are straying
The Savior who does on the cross
Is your life a channel of blessing?
Is it a daily telling for Him?
Have you spoken the word of salvation?
To those who are dying in sin?
We cannot be channels of blessing
If our lives are not free from sin;
We will barriers be and a hindrance
To those we are trying to win.

Topic: The Kingdom in Focus [DCLM Daily Manna 10 December 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]
Text: Romans 14:10-22 (KJV)
Key Verse: “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost”(Romans 14:17).
MESSAGE:
Have you got faith? “…Have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth” (Romans 14:22).
Martin Luther King Jr. once said ‘Never, never be afraid to do what is right, especially if the wellbeing of a person or animal is at stake; society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our souls when we look the other way’. The Christian church is uncompromising in its stand against all kinds of conduct opposed to scriptural standards.
Our text deals with issues that bother on the believer’s understanding of true Christlikeness, holiness, fruitfulness, doctrine and morals. This involves a sincere rebuking, correcting and evaluation of one another where necessary in love and humility and the exercise of church discipline on erring members and leaders.
Believers should refrain from judging one another. Christ our Lord is the One who has the right to judge. We must avoid anything that constitutes a stumbling block to fellow believers especially the weak ones. As believers, whether we are strong or weak, we must realise that true liberty does not lie in the exercise of that liberty if it will disrupt the peace of the body of Christ, knowing that the highest good is only attained in its use to edify the church.
Thought For The Day: Use not your liberty as a cloak of maliciousness.

Young people talk a lot about love. Most of their songs are about love. . . . “The supreme happiness of life,” Victor Hugo said long ago, “is the conviction that we are loved.” “Love is the first requirement for mental health,” declared Sigmund Freud. The Bible teaches that “God is love” and that God loves you. To realize that is of paramount importance. Nothing else matters so much. And loving you, God has a wonderful plan for your life. Who else could plan and guide your life so well?
Prayer for the day: In knowing I am loved by You, almighty God, my heart trusts You to guide me.

Open Heaven 10 December 2018 Monday Daily Devotional by Pastor E. A. Adeboye – It is not a Virtue!
Topic: It is not a Virtue! (Open Heaven 10 December 2018)
Memorise: “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”- 2 Corinthians 8:9
Read: 1 Chronicles 4:9-10 (KJV)
9 And Jabez was more honourable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.
10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
Bible in One Year: Daniel 5-6, John 9:13-34
Open Heaven 10 December 2018 Monday MESSAGE:
I have tasted both poverty and a little of God’s blessing, and I can tell you that the difference is clear. I have concluded in my spirit that poverty is not a virtue; rather, it is a vice. A vice is something evil. Poverty is evil and a root of iniquity which every child of God must pray against. No wonder Agur prayed in Proverbs 30:8-9, saying:
“8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.”
According to this scripture, a poor man is on the borderline between innocence and the crime of stealing.
Today’s Bible reading gives a classic example of someone who did not see poverty as a virtue but rather a vice, and he desperately prayed poverty out of his life. Jabez recognized poverty for what it is, and he asked God to enlarge his coast so that he could be kept from the evil that poverty brings. Every one of us needs to be like Jabez who acknowledged that the God of Israel was the one who could get him out of poverty. Promotion and increase comes from God, and He is the only one who can take away financial, mental and spiritual poverty all at once. Any other source will give you wealth but will take away your peace. For this reason, Deuteronomy 8:18 says:
“But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.”
Every believer needs to ask God for the power to create wealth. You need to ask God to open your eyes of understanding to see the opportunities He puts in front of you to produce wealth and move you out of poverty. Our Lord Jesus Christ has already paid the price for us to be free from poverty. Our memory verse tells us that He became poor so that we can be rich. It is therefore a waste of God’s grace and a belittling of the price that Jesus paid for us to still live in poverty. You should however note that we are also expected to live a life of contentment (1 Timothy 6:6-8). Today, pray like Jabez for God to enlarge your coast and open your eyes of understanding to see the opportunities He brings your way to create wealth.
Open Heaven 10 December 2018 Monday Prayer Point:
Father, deliver me from the shackles of poverty today and grant me all-round prosperity to the glory of Your Name.

St John the Baptist Church, on Melbourne Street in Royston caught light in the early hours, with the fire brigade police saying they they were there at around 3:30am.
Around 8:30am they said they would remain on site for a while but had scaled back the operation. The police said they were also there conducting road closures.
This morning, leaders from St John the Baptist posted on Facebook, saying:
“Update. There has been a fire in the bell tower and the roof. The Fire Brigade are in control and no one has been hurt. We will update you as we get more news.
There will be no services today. Your prayers for our church community are appreciated.
God Bless you all, The leadership team”
They added that the congregation had been welcomed by nearby churches, Melbourne Baptist Church and Trinity Life Church to join their morning services if they wished.
Local press say the police are treating it as arson.
The church is part of an Augustan priory, dating back to the 12th century, which was converted to a parish church in 1540 and had many restorations done in the Victorian era.
A just giving page has already started to raise money to repair the damage.
Local MP, Sir Oliver Heald, has visited the site:
Just visited Royston Parish Church with Bishop Alan after the fire. Our thoughts with Rvd Heidi and congregation. #stjohnRoyston
