The small church in Fordingbridge, near Salisbury meet every other week and are a part of the Diocese of Winchester
They write in their church newsletter, in between information about a choral concert and a fairtrade coffee morning that: “While Woodgreen’s village pub is closed, St Boniface church opposite is popping-up to refresh the community, not just spiritually but with festive tipples sourced from local suppliers.”
“Supported by their fantastic village shop and local breweries, the church is offering a licensed social space for locals to raise a glass together.”
The pop-up pub will be called ‘Room at the Inn’ and will be open on the two lots Friday and Saturday evenings in the run up to Christmas, as well as Christmas Day 12-2pm.
The Horse and Groom pub opposite the church is currently being sold by its owners but locals are putting together a bid to buy it for the community.
St Boniface Church is part of the wider Avon Valley partnership of seven churches in the area.
Assistant Curate at Avon Valley Partnership Nicky Davies told local radio station Spire FM: “I am delighted that St Boniface Church in Woodgreen, full of our community Christmas trees, is able to host a pop-up pub! We are aware that our community have been lacking a social place to gather during the closure of our village pub The Horse and Groom. “

He will release his book ‘Soul Fuel’ in July next year, which will be published by Hodder Faith, who produce the American preacher Tim Keller’s books and Home For Good founder Dr Krish Kandiah’s Faitheism.
Bear Grylls has been open about his faith, telling the Radio Times in 2015:“I try to start every day by kneeling down and saying, ‘Lord Jesus, I ain’t got it all right, and I’m nervous about today.
“I will give it my all, but will you help me? It’s never more complicated than that. I probably don’t go to church enough, but my faith is a quiet, strong backbone in my life, and the glue to our family.”
Grylls was also a contributor to the recent Harper Collins publication In This Light: Thoughts for Christmas, a collection of musings by the Archbishop of Canterbury from people across the faith world, public life and people with remarkable stories.
According to Christian publishers Zondervan, who are publishing the book in America, the ‘Soul Fuel’ will “share some of his most exciting exploits and the spiritual insights he gained along the way in his first faith-focused book, a unique 365-day devotional.
“Each section explores a theme Bear has lived, including purpose, courage, freedom, and risk.”

Churches are reporting that they are adding extra beds to night shelters and opening more days a week after figures show a rise in homelessness.
The Greater Together Manchester Night Shelter, part of Church Urban Fund’s Together Network, saw an increase in volunteers recently.
They provide 12 beds for six months of the year and are due to expand this month with a second night shelter, set up by the Greater Manchester Mayor’s office.
Guests sit down with volunteers to eat a hot meal every night and are supported during the day to find new accommodation and access benefits.
Lily Axworthy, Development Officer for Greater Together Manchester said: “Last year people were staying in the shelter for a shorter period of time, because their ‘move on’ was managed more quickly. However, the number of people sleeping rough has carried on increasing.
“What has been really heartening this year has been seeing an increase in the number of volunteers. We have more than 200 volunteers already. People really want to do something practical to help and something they feel will make a difference, particularly where they have experienced walking past people on the streets. By volunteering their time, they can make that practical difference.”
In London, 35 guests are given beds every night at the Robes project. They use 30 church venues in Southwark and Lambeth and have…
Kachin state is in Myanmar but neighbours China and a small part of India. The Kachin people are mostly Christian.
Three Kachin activists were sentenced on Friday by a court for their role in a peaceful demonstration in April calling on the Burmese government to help internally displaced people fleeing attacks by the Burma Army.
They were sentenced to six months in prison and a fine of 500,000 Kyats (£250) each.
Activists Lum Zawng, Nang Pu and Zau Jat were charged with defamation of the army under Article 500 of Myanmar’s penal code for their role in a rally back in April this year, and a press conference the following day, following the escalation of the conflict between the Burma Army and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA).
More than 5,000 civilians were reportedly displaced as a result of fighting earlier this year, and at least 2,000 were trapped without access to humanitarian assistance for several weeks. The protests, in which Lum Zawng, Nang Pu and Zau Jet participated, called for assistance for those fleeing the conflict.
Christian Solidarity Worldwide have condemned this act and their East Asia Team Leader Benedict Rogers said: “This sentence is outrageous and completely unjustified. These three activists were appealing for aid for civilians trapped in the jungle fleeing fighting. Since when has peacefully appealing for humanitarian assistance…
MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 9 December 2018 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Your Separation and Your Destiny
TOPIC: Your Separation and Your Destiny (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 9 December 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
MEMORY VERSE:“As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.” –Acts 13:2
The MESSAGE:
Many believers are hiding in the comfort zones of iniquity without realising that they are in the danger zones. Therefore, they need to realise such comfort as comfort in bondage and quickly run out of it. In such a place, destinies cannot be fulfilled because there are many things in such comfort zones that hinder destinies from being fulfilled. A separation is needed from such zones as stated in the Fire Scripture. Separation from unbelievers, uncleanliness, unrighteousness, darkness, satan, infidels, idols and ungodliness establish our relationship with God.
There are seven levels of separation:
Separation from your place of birth, from demonic gatherings and your nativity (Ezekiel 16, Joshua 24:2). Your nativity has a lot to do with your destiny.
Separation from your Father’s house –Abraham separated himself from his father’s household (Genesis 12:1).
Separation from Haran (an environment, location or the country where one may be) Genesis 11: 31-32
Separation from Lot –Abraham separated himself from Lot in Genesis 13:14 and this brought divine encounter to him.
Separation from Egypt –Genesis 13:1. By going to Egypt, Hagar living with Abraham in Egypt became a problem for him.
Separation from Hagar and Ishmael –If you cannot wait for the will of God, you will get the devil’s alternative.
Separate yourself from your own Isaac –Abraham was submissive and obedient to God to sacrifice his son, and God was able to make him great because of his obedience.
God’s revelation is progressive, always wait on Him for the next instruction, for the next step before you proceed. Most of the times, the things that are too difficult for us to release to God are the sources of our problems.
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: UNTIL YOUR Lot IS SEPARATED, YOU MAY NOT GET YOUR lot IN LIFE.
PROPHETIC WORD: The fire of the Holy Ghost will separate you from evil attachment.
PRAYER POINTS:
MORNING
O God my Father, take away from me, anything that is not from You, in the name of Jesus.
I separate myself from any relationship assigned to take me to hell fire, in the name of Jesus.
I release my Isaac to God, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
I refuse to go back to Egypt, in the name of Jesus.
My Lot, preventing me from my divine encounter, go away, in the name of Jesus.
My Father, if I am wrongly positioned, please relocate me, in the name of Jesus.
Demonic attachment, I separate myself from you, in the name of Jesus.

Planning is the application of logical, rational and analytical thinking to your objectives. You will never know the worth of what you have until you become a committed planner. Most people in search of white collar jobs might have something in their hands that can make them billionaires and employers of labour if they can plan well but unfortunately, they do not have value for them.
To a non-planner, nothing is enough, adequate or sufficient but to a planner, everything is enough. Planners are always resourceful and creative; they think of what to do with the little income that enters their hands.
Eccl. 5:9a –Moreover the profit of the earth is for all:
We all have equal opportunity to make the most of life; it is simply a function of planning. So, plan from today; do not leave your life to chance. Two people might receive the same amount of money as gifts; while one invest the money in a business, the other might choose to shop with the money. Both had the same opportunity; one utilized it and the other misused it due to lack of planning.
You don’t have a future if you are not a committed planner. Planning is a non-transferable responsibility and it gives you victory over lack. Living an over-sized life is lack of planning.
Preparation for the future starts with the little steps of today through planning. It pays to plan ahead. No tangible progress can be made in life without thinking and planning. Don’t live your life to mere wishes. Have plans and set goals for your future achievements.
Planning gives meaning to life and enables you to take charge and order in your life. Work your life out in line with your plan. One of the proofs of order is planning but anywhere there is disorder, it is a proof that planning is lacking there. Think about your priorities for the future and write them down
Prov. 24:3-4 –Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: 4 And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
If you want to become a great person, sit down and plan because planning is an act of wisdom. The principal tool for planning is thinking. Every time you want to plan, sit down and think. Good planning prevents small problems from becoming big problems.
Prov. 27:12 –A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
A prudent person foresees danger and takes precautions. The simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences. (NLT)
Stop looking for someone to pay your bills; plan your life. Why give yourself stress? You can plan your life and live your size and God will keep lifting you from glory to glory in Jesus name –Amen!

Topic: Make Room For Greatness [TREM Devotional 9 December 2018]
“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes”Isaiah 54:2
Today, I come your way to challenge you to make room for greatness. The best time to plan for the future is today. The future you do not plan for may never manifest; not because God does not want to bless you, but because you did not plan for it.
All truths are parallel. Have you seen a farmer who plans on Acres of land and has no plan for harvest? Have you seen a farmer go to the field to harvest without a plan for storage or sale? Have you seen a farmer who uses 3 hectares to farm and does not build a barn to store the harvest? If in the natural, you know how to prepare for harvest, why not in the spiritual. Have you forgotten that all truth is parallel?
If a farmer plants rice on an acre of land and does not plan for the harvest, if he takes care of the farm diligently the harvest will come, but because he is not prepared, the produce will go bad in his hands. Now, who will you blame for the loss? Is it God who gave the increase or the man who prayed and waited for increase without a plan?
Let me ask you, if the Lord answers all your prayers, can you handle the result? You want to become CEO of your organization, if the vacancy appears today, will you qualify? That is where the rubber meets the road. Prepare for greatness, luck is nothing but opportunity meeting preparation. Prepare for the greatness. Ask yourself, what do I need to put in place to get the harvest? If there is a course you need to do, go and get it done. If there is a plan you need to set in motion, the time to start is now.
Don’t sit down, fold your hands and expect the greatness to fall on you like a bag of cherries, play your part and God will exceed your expectations.

Topic: What Wisdom? [Open Heavens for Teens 9 December 2018]
Memorise:But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. – James 3:17
Read: James 3:14-18 (KJV)
Bible In One Year: Hosea 1-4, Jude 1
MESSAGE:
Today’s Bible reading talks about wisdom. Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge. It could be from God or from the devil. In the Bible reading, the two are contrasted. How can you identify the wisdom of the devil? Any suggestion or action that accommodates bitterness is devilish. No matter how laudable an action, plan or step is, the moment bitterness is introduced into it, it turns devilish.
In other words, you can have a God glorifying programme that originated from God; if somewhere along the line bitterness enters, God will step aside. Anything you want to do that is born out of bitterness is not of God. Bitterness harms its host as well as its target. An embittered fellow will struggle with forgiving the one who has offended him or her. Is there any bitterness in your heart against an offender? Forgive that individual immediately.
1.Is your life a channel of blessing? Is the love of God flowing through you? Are you telling the lost of the Savior? Are you ready His service to do?
Chorus:
Make me a channel of blessing today,
Make me a channel of blessing, I pray;
My life possessing, my service blessing,
Make me a channel of blessing today.
2. Is your life a channel of blessing? Are you burdened for those that are lost? Have you urged upon those who are straying The Savior who does on the cross
3. Is your life a channel of blessing? Is it a daily telling for Him? Have you spoken the word of salvation? To those who are dying in sin?
4. We cannot be channels of blessing If our lives are not free from sin; We will barriers be and a hindrance To those we are trying to win.
